First I must say, the technician was great. Polite, knowledgeable, personable.Unfortunately, $195 is outrageous to pay to have someone come and look at your fridge. Total time with the fridge was very short. I feel like maybe Im in the wrong business.Also, the person on the phone told me it was $45 dollars to do a diagnostic. I repeated it several times with my wife sitting next to me. Each time I said so its $45 to come do the diagnostic? He said yes, $45 I got the email confirmation it was $145 dollars. We were desperate to get our freezer fixed so we bit the bullet. In the end, we are going to have to buy a new fridge. This one we purchased at sears in 2013. It has had to be repaired 3 times. Each time losing all of our food. Kenmore Elite fridges are junk. Dont buy one.

Service was done well. The part took two weeks to come in which was an inconvenience. The diagnostic charge was a lot of money.
Sears repair man came to our home to look at our Kenmore range. I had ordered 3 different parts in an effort to remedy the problem. It was a stormy day but the repair man still came. He did a thorough check--validating the new parts we had put in that they were installed properly. Unfortunately, the issue was with the electronic boards-both of them-and we opted not to replace them as they were too expensive. That was a bummer, but the repair man himself was thorough and pleasant.
The young man that worked on our dryer was professional, polite, efficient and left no mess behind when done!!

Chuck is a technical genius. Sears is fortunate to have him working for them, and were happy that were on his route.We got several scheduling reminders via email and phone. They give the exact date well in advance, but the appointment time is 8 am to 5 pm, and they expect you to be home all day. Thankfully, Chuck called me in the morning to tell me what time he would arrive that afternoon.
Service worker was prompt, went right to work, and best of all, gave a thorough explanation of everything he did!
Although Service has been out (4 times) to repair our refrigerator (which is less than 30 days old), I have had to call them AGAIN for another service call, as it is STILL not maintaining temperature in the cabinet.Rather than completing one task at a time, it would make MORE sense to keep the repair tech on site to complete everything that could be the issue, rather than requiring the consumer to repeatedly reach out for service on a brand new item
The service person was professional and fixed my range, however I was very disappointed that he showed up at my house without a FACE COVER.During this pandemic, thats not acceptable. Sears should make mandatory the use of FACE COVER for all its employees and associates.Thanks!
Weve had three mechanic visits so far...washer is still leaking during large loads. Mechanic has been great - he has a Kenmore washer himself and swears by it as opposed to a newer, cheaper, built to break brand. But its been frustrating not being able to get the clothes washed!

Arrived on time, quickly diagnosed problem and did a great job getting our dish washer back in working order. Our home and most appliances are 14 years old now and Chuck discussed the appliances that Sears could provide service and replacement for when necessary. Great service!
The change that Sears made to use DIsh as their service contractors was the best idea theyve had in a long time. The appointment window was between 8 and 12 instead of the dreaded 8-5 that potentially used an entire day. The preventative maintenance on my washer and dryer was the best and most thorough of any time since I purchased them in 2006. Not only was the repairman on time, he was so courteous and kind and he took his time to make sure my appliances were in top working condition. I am beyond pleased with the whole experience!
Kevin ( a guy from DISH) did a fantastic job! He was very friendly and took time to answer our questions. If I had known that he always cleans the stove for you, I may have left it dirty LOL That is quite a service though - going above and beyond the normal maintenance check. We were very satisfied!
Top notch. Repair tech did a great job. Only used the riding lawn mower/tractor for a couple of minutes but all seemed in good working order.

I cant really give you a repair rating because my attempt to get my dishwasher fixed in a reasonable time was horrible. A definite 1 star.But the technician who finally came (2 months after I first called for service) was pleasant and efficient. After he left I noticed that there is a sharp wire where you open the dishwasher; it digs into your finger. Its not worth having you fix it (I dont have any faith in your appointment team) but it doesnt speak well of your parts quality. I would give the technician 4 stars.

Your technician was very helpful. He diagnosed the problem very quickly, had the part in the truck, installed it and tested the dryer to make sure that the temperature was at the proper, safe level. The maintenance for two appliances went fine, but I wish Sears could narrow down the time of arrival from a very wide 8am-5pm range.

You actually get no stars from me. I had to choose one in order to submit this review.Diagnostic fees on multiple appliances at the same address is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!! I spent over $300.00 to diagnose issues with four appliances in the span of just one hour, only to be told that three appliances were too expensive to repair and cheaper to replace the unit.I did agree to repair my refrigerator and was provided a quote for the parts and labor from the technician. I asked him if that was the grand total to complete the repairs and was assured the total was firm. Upon return to install the part, I was charged another $79.00 for the service call. The technician would not leave without additional payment. Also the part needed was promised to arrive in three days actually took two weeks after several calls and emails to question where the part was. After all that frustration, the problem was not resolved and I have had to schedule another appointment for a technician to come fix the problem.I am not satisfied at all with your products. What used to be superior appliances and service available has now become junk and your service fees are a joke.Your appliances should be better quality than that. Your records will indicate that I purchased the appliances a few years ago, however they were not installed and placed into use until May 2016. To have this many failures is unacceptable. It has been a nightmare. July 23 was the first call. The washer would not drain or continue its cycle. The repair technician was scheduled to come the following week on Friday, but on that day he called us and said his schedule didnt allow him to have time to come that day so hed be by on Monday or Tuesday. He did NOT show or call. My husband works nights and waited up for this. So, it is now Sept 10 and we have called over and over. Ive spoken to the store manager and technicians have changed some parts just last week. We may have done 4 loads of laundry and it is not working. The same thing is happening. Ive spent hundreds of dollars at the laundrymat.and countless hours. I cant afford this. So today I call the repair line and someone will be out Monday. Im wondering how this will go. Im not happy with this service at all. Not quite sure how this will end. Unhappy😪
At this time our refrigerator WILL NOT DISPENSE ICE !!!We are not happy at all!! We had repairmen here working on our ice maker for a total of over SIX hours this week alone. One man over 3 hours Monday and two men over 3 hours on Wednesday. They left, thinking it was working fine, but after it finally made ice they will not dispense. Now we are on wait for another week waiting for a repair.If you look at my records for a little over a year with a top of the line refrigerator, you will see far too many service calls on this product.(Some of the issues that have been worked on involved installing parts that did not exist on the original unit, but later decided it was built incorrectly.)We are sorry we purchased so many large appliances from Sears a year ago. This matter should have been rectified long ago.As for the service men, they have been great but just cant get a lemon to produce ice.

We are fed up. Weve been without a refrigerator for 3 weeks at the peak of summer heat, and communications with Sears are painfully slow and convoluted, so there is NO WAY to get a quick response. I will strongly recommend that no one in my area buy a Sears appliance if they want a dependable service plan.
We have had Chuck as our Sears service guy for 8 plus years .He is awesome and treats my mother like his own.
The technician was knowledgeable and thorough about checking all potential issues, not just the one that I needed service for. The issue I have was after I had paid CASH for the repair. I got a receipt and promptly moved on. 12 days later I received an invoice from National Claims Center on Sears behalf saying that they were collecting a debt for the service I had already paid for. I contacted Sears Customer Solutions and they noted that it had been payed for but the tech had not written in his notes that cash was received for the balance. I was told it was taken care of. On May 30th I received another bill from National Claims Center asking me to pay that balance again. I attempted to call National Claims Center to explain that Sears had cleared the issue but unless you are paying them money they dont talk. I once again called Sears Customer Solutions and after 30 mins on the phone with a person was told that it had been sent to National Claims Center that the amount had been paid in full and to stop sending bills. However, I was also told that I may get another bill in the mail at a later date because the wording on the original work order by the tech didnt have the right words. The service was great and the customer relations folk I spoke to at Sears were helpful, but if National Claims Center can just keep sending bills to me then there is a real issue that needs to be addressed. From now on I will always ask about whether a service provider uses National Claims Center and if so I will find another provider.
Our ice maker stopped working. The Tech pushed a reset button and it started working. Why would they not have mentioned the reset button on the phone so I could have tried that and not been charged $99. Also paid $49 to get the inside glass on the range door cleaned and he didnt get it clean. Poor design for a range door and I have to pay someone to clean it and then they do a bad job. I only rated it two stars instead of one because the tech was nice.

Was fine but they continue to empty their vacuum near my yard. the last time it was from someone elses house and it had needles in it that we found near our childrens play yard. this time my husband found it and it was near where my kids play. I tell them I have a trash can and a sink. That makes me upset because I have littles that play out there.

Sears does not respond in a timely manner to questions sent to them through their Contact Us by email on the Sears Home Service Page. I sent an email on 6/11 with a follow up on 6/14 and as of 7/1 still have not received a response.

The repair was as expected, however when my wife does a small load of clothes the uneven cycle comes on. I guess we cant just wash a few items the washer has got to have a medium to a large load in order for it to work correctly. it went into uneven mode twice since it was repaired. It must be the model and make of the washer

First off its Ryan Newell not Devon. The technician has come out at least 3-4 times now. he is trying everything he can to correct the problem. Parts have been changed etc. I put in a load in the washer yesterday and again the uneven load signal came up. after rearranging the clothes 5-6 times I was able to finish washing my clothes after about 4 hrs. Im very disappointed with the warranty as this has been going on for about 6 months. I went to Lowes of Brewer maine and purchased a new washer & dryer since it appears that the warranty is not going to be honored. I was told that if they could not fix or repair the appliances when I purchased them I would get another appliance or get my money back. My wife who is getting extremely upset asked for our money back and she was told they would not do that, they would only replace the washer if it came to that 6 months is enough.5 stars on the technician 0 stars on the warranty

This is not based so much on the repair itself but everything around it. We had to cancel our appt twice and the automated system wouldnt recognize our phone number for the last cancellation attempt. The repairman who came was obviously a bit perturbed with us because he showed up 3 times and we werent here. Your systems need to improve so repairman know when the appointment has been rescheduled. Also...theres no option in your automated system for those of us who already have the technical part taken care of . It kept trying to direct me to a technician for basic troubleshooting when I just needed to schedule or cancel an appointment.

But I have to sayI WILL NEVER USE SEARS HOME SERVICES AGAIN.Ten! phone calls - put on hold who knows how many times - I have gotten only ONE believable, honest answer.A tech comes to my house - competent for what AND ONLY WHAT - he is authorized to do: service 3 window air conditioners. This is what Sears service amounts to: 1)snap off face plate; 2) check filter for dust, run under water if necessary (1 filter needed a rinse-off); 3)replace filter, snap on face plate. Push power button, listen as A/C unit cools. NO OTHER SERVICE authorized. Tech admits homeowner could do same in 1-2 minutes. Sears charge: $129 US dollars per unit. Is this remotely justified?A 3rd or 4th call to Sears Customer Service elicits this explanation: The $129 breaks down as follows: $102 travel charge, $27 service per unit. OK, I can live with that, but that means I am being charged $102 for travel THREE TIMES- when tech traveled to house ONLY ONCE.No, says the 10th rep. Those were not travel charges, those were diagnostic charges; when I said there was no diagnosis, she switched to preventive maintenance. But the tech had said: Unit runs, cools, thats all I can do. If any more work is required, then its maintenance, not service, and you have to take the unit to one of our repair centers.This is all double-speak to conceal grossly inflated charges, and everyone I know and everyone they know will know about it.I repeat: I will never use Sears Home Services again.W ScobleCamden, Maine
