I took my perfectly operating Audi A6 there for an oil leak, which Ike indicated he could fix. I paid $3000 for the oil leak, and when I returned to pick up my car I was advised that there was a very small oil leak; however, when I test drove my car, I noted that the breaks were faulty, a problem I did not initially have. He charged me $750 to fix the breaks. I took the car car to an Audi dealership and was informed that Ike had put psylicon on the leaks. The back breaks also drag, slowing the from moving the way it initially drove.St this point, I am incensed, and I would not recommend Ike for mechanical work.At this point, I am filing suit against Ike in the district court.

My vehicle was there for over 1 month, and the quote start out at one price and at the end of the day it double. So disturb, wasnt happy. And the Manager doesnt check behind his employees. Even after their work they even install the linkage incorrectly.

Ive been going to Ikes for years. Hes reliable, prices are reasonable, and work is done quickly. Probably dont bring your McClaren F1 here, but to get your brakes fixed without getting gouged at a dealer, Ikes is the place.

Brought my Hyundai Tiburon GT back in August due to car not starting. Dropped it off and it took over a week before Mr. IKE KIM inspected the vehicle after numerous calls to verify the status of the vehicle. Once it got assessed a week later, the owner Mr. IKE KIM ran an inaccurate diagnostic on the vehicle and had the nerve to charge almost $80 and they took out endtake manfold bolts without putting them back in. Car only needed a starter.

I wish the costumers who plan to take their cars for repairs to this shop first read these reviews before they do that .Unfortunately I failed to do so. I took my 1998 Volvo S70 sedan for air condition repair to this shop owner on June 5,2017 complaining that air was not cooling. I asked whether he could fix it with a year guarantee. Unhesitatingly he said yes. He called the same day saying the problem is the compressor, but calling a few hours later saying it was not the compressor but evaporator agreeing a price of 700$. Next day I was called that the car was ready . Before picked the car I made the mistake of paying 700$ with credit card Then when I started the car and turned on A/C there was no cold air coming. I pointed out to him,he said may be I needed the car to run for some time, I drove home without any change in the hot air. Next day, I took it back to him. After that, for one week, every day when I called I got the respond that he was checking. Finally when I insisted to get my car back,he asked me one more chance to replace compressor and if it works pay him 550$ more if not, dont pay him any. Three days later he said he replaced the compressor still A/C was not fixed,he can not know what to do any more and refused to pay back a few hundred dollars for adjustment. In summary I had to pay 700 $ for wrong diagnosis, unnecessary replacement of parts, and not fixed A/C and worst of all, not even a few hundred dollars of refund. Readers can make up their minds after they read the treatment I got in this auto shop.

I have been taking my 91 Honda Accord here for almost 3 years. I have been very happy with him, and have recommended it my friends and colleagues, who also have liked him. Given the age of my car, I want a mechanic who can differentiate between urgent and optional repairs, and Ike seems to fit the bill. He recommends repairs only if they are absolutely necessary. He almost always gives the car back the same day, and this is great since I work at Hopkins. I recommend him highly.

Our battery died on a Friday afternoon and Ikes was closing. It was raining...a lot. They sent someone out, jumped us and charged is very fairly. They went above and beyond. We are not from this area, but I would use them in a heartbeat if we lived closer.

I brought my car here today because I was afraid to drive it to my regular mechanic because it was riding rough. Turns out the problem was the ignition coil. He quoted me $350. I asked my husband, my dad, and my mechanic if that was a fair price and they said it was for all four coils, the spark plugs, and the labor. When I picked up my car, the total was $380, he replaced filters that I didnt authorize him to replace and only changed one ignition coil and no spark plugs. Everyone said I got ripped off.I wanted to give my business to a neighborhood body shop but I will never go here again.

I specifically signed up for google just so people know where they DONT take the cars to when their cars need to be serviced.I posted this same comment on yelp as well. There is simply no reason to spend such time writing such lengthy comment if this wasnt something true that had happened to me. I am sure any rational users with a little bit of common sense would realize that this shops review hasnt been good before mine. The purpose of doing this is to put the nail in the coffin and prevent any innocent to be ripped off by this terrible shop.I had some problem starting my suvs engine along with one failed power window and I thought it was the starter and the window motor getting old. Brought the car to this classy joint and then it was diagnosed to be a battery problem. Paid almost 400 bucks all together with a new battery and possibly the new motor for the power window. Its fine as long as it works well I dont mind it being a little expensive. After driving the car on and off for another 35-40 miles (within the next 24 after I took my car back from them) hour in the usual manner a responsible driver would do, there were smoke coming out of the front hood( I was driving at 25-40 mph on a busy local street near downtown) and I drove for extra 3 minute just so that i could park the car in a open lot near the road instead of stopping in the middle of the traffic. Needless to say, the battery caught on fire and the whole engine bay started burning. Had some help with people that has a couple fire extinguishers but it got big too fast. 15 minutes later the fire truck and the police came but the engine had been burnt to the ground.VERY OBVIOUSLY some a-hole who calls himself a mechanic without actually knowing how to do electric wiring had made some serious mistake in the process of fixing my car. The car was of course totaled and for some reason my insurance wouldnt cover the loss. I went back with the fire dept report, trying to reason with IKE the gentleman exactly 24 hours after I received my car from them, telling him the aforementioned true story and guess what his respond is? We are not responsible for any damage once you signed the paper and paid for the fee. The very exhausted and frustrated me see no room for argument or request for compensation as this scumbag also happened to have a hard time to communicating with proper English. In all honesty I thought about setting his shop on fire the same night when the accident happened. But knowing that it is absolutely illegal as well as potentially harmful and life threatening to the innocent neighbors, my conscience refrained my anger to take over for decision making. My car was gone, I got zero compensation from either insurance and ike ( yes, he had no guilt at all for DIRECTLY RELATED TO burning up my car after charging me almost 400 bucks). I blame myself for not having a more complete coverage of insurance, but the most important thing was, why the f did I not do any research for mechanic before committing such a shady, unprofessional and irresponsible shop like ikes auto services. The moral of this true story- STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDFUL SHOP AT ALL COST.

First time at this place. Had a broken driver side window regulator/motor. Took it to him to give me a quote. After taking it a part he quoted $350+tax which was higher than expected so I told him no thanks. He gives me the line (in very broken english that I could barely understand) that he has to charge me for an hour labor blah blah (which he never mentioned before asking for the quote) so I tell him go ahead Im not paying that much after which he tries to convince me its not possible to get it done any cheaper and he will try to do it under $350 inc. tax. He mentions that window glass is scratched and need to be replaced so I specifically tell him NOT to replace it since I dont care about scratches. I come back 3 days after, bill is for $341 and he replaced the window glass. I was fuming but of course he let his poor zero-english speaking mechanic take my payment. By reading other posts, he seems to be more reasonable with long time customers (presumably after rapping them the first couple of times). Never going back again nor recommending him to any friends.tl;dr opportunistic mechanic and terrible communication
