By far one of the best experiences Ive had taking my car to a garage for repairs. They were able to get me in the next morning after I popped a hole in my tire and were able to order the part/replace the tire within 24 hours. They even took time to double check fluid levels and the integrity of lines after I saw fluid leaking from the car. The owner took lots of time, not only to explain the repairs needed but also to educate me about my car. Very thankful to find a good reliable garage that seems to care about its customers!!

I felt so lucky that I can find Paul to work on my car, he is honest, and did a great job, he gives you honest advice and wont try to rip you off like many other mechanics or dealerships nowadays, Ive just relocate to Maryland with my girlfriend and we are not really familiar with the area, I find out Paul online and decided to give him a shot, totally worth it. All of the people there are very professional and nice. They charge you only for the necessary work and dont gouge you. Ill be using them for all of my auto issues in the future. They deal with you promptly, professionally, and communicate well about the status as it changes.

I had gotten a flat tire on the way home from work. They were able to put on a new tire the very next day. Since I lived nearby, they dropped me off back home and picked me up when the work was done. Excellent customer service!

I needed regular servicing and also some exhaust component repair and a new tire on a 16-year-old Focus wagon. Pauls has the qualities of a good mechanic: looks and feels trustworthy and skilled (Im a layman), personable and easy to schedule and deal with, reasonably priced. In addition, hes great about sending me photos of all problem areas so Ive seen them before we talk about going ahead with work. Highly recommend.

Pauls runs an excellent shop! I had a unique situation with a hybrid Ford Escape with a dead main battery. He did a diagnostic and told me the code was coming back with replace the main hybrid engine battery. They cost about $5K for a new one and $2-$3K for an aftermarket if you can find it. Paul told me he wanted to see if he could recharge this dead battery and give it a try. If it worked, he would charge me a nominal flat fee. If it didnt, no charge at all. Well, Paul got it charged! The Escape runs well and has had no battery issues since. Paul is a fair and ethical business owner. I would recommend him and the quality his automotive shop provides to his customers!

I was shopping for a used Toyota from a Baltimore area dealer and looking for a mechanic to do the pre-purchase inspection. Because I dont live nearby and didnt have much time, I needed a quality local mechanic on short notice. Based on his good reviews, I called Paul midday and he said to bring it by that afternoon. About an hour later the car inspection was done (complete with an inspection report with photos and explanations) in time for me to complete the car purchase by the close of business that same day.Paul agreeing to inspect the car that day saved me time, gave me peace of mind and helped me close the deal on a great car for my family.

I thought I had an oil leak in my Ford truck and took it in to Pauls Automotive. It turned out that I didnt have a leak at all. They could have used the incident to create a problem but they were honest. I appreciate that.

Paul was great. He accessed the problem and gave me all my options. My car was ready in a jiff. His garage is neat and tidy. I felt very comfortable there.

Paul is a very friendly guy and by far the most professional mechanic I have been to. I’ve been taking my car to Paul’s for 15 plus years and each time he has proven to be very reliable, good performance, friendly, and quick. They have preformed multiple diagnostics on any car that I have owned, and will continue to take it to Paul’s Automotive.

My wife and I both had poor but expensive service experiences with our respective dealerships. A friend recommended Paul’s. We were worried if a smaller shop would be familiar enough with our hybrid vehicles (one honda one lexus). Paul’s demeanor and diagnostic process immediately put us at ease. He knows what he’s talking about and takes the time to make sure you know what he’s talking about too. Then receiving the diagnostics link complete with pictures I knew we’d found our new mechanic. I found Paul’s when doing a search for mechanics that work with Cadillacs. I’ve been trying to get my Cadillac fixed for almost a year.... the dealership “fixed” my car 3-4 times this past year costing me too much money and never fixed the problem. And I was tired of the runaround.Paul’s took their time and did a thorough diagnostics and finally fixed the problem. My car sounds and feels so much better. Even better, their communication is amazing! He explained everything to me, fixed what needed fixing and went over a plan for what the car needs in the next 6 months. I found my new spot.

Thats how he can stay on top of any possible future issues. For people who say he charged too much, what I can say is hes thorough which means you may pay a little more because hes looking at everything and perhaps suggesting something you didnt originally take it in for. By having it addressed early, you avoid having a more serious problem or breakdown later. Thats worth it to me. I learned this lesson the hard way.Plus, I never have to wait a long time. In every case except one (when he was waiting for parts) I got my car back the same day. So, no its not as convenient as Jiffy Lube (which is not inexpensive by the way), but for the little minor, minor inconvenience of having to drop the car off for the day, its totally totally worth it in the long run.

I went to Pauls Automotive for an oil change & they had me out in under an hour. I have an older car & they found a few other things that needed fixed, but did not pressure me to do so immediately. Instead, they were honest about what they saw, explained everything so that I could understand & didnt push me to schedule an appointment to have everything fixed right away. With a really far daily commute that started a year ago, I bought a new car and sidelined the car I’ve used since I first started driving. This car sits a lot, but is in fairly good condition overall and I want to keep it running. When I moved the car to another parking spot one night, the power steering seized up and I noticed power steering fluid all over the road. I was also having some startup issues. I searched around for a new mechanic, as I have had many bad mechanics in Baltimore over the past 7 years living here, and I came across Paul’s Automotive. After talking to Paul for the first time, I could tell he was laid back, detail-oriented, patient, and would probably do good work on the car. I had the car towed to his shop and he called me every step of the way, sent me pictures of the issues, and made sure to explain every issue in depth and give me some time to think about the repair costs. He also made a point to come out and look under the hood with me after the repairs to show me where the fixed parts were located. He also called to follow-up on how the car was doing. I spent more money than I wanted to going in, but the repairs made sense in the context of the cars symptoms and were definitely done carefully and thoughtfully as the car is running much better now. I will definitely go back to Paul the next time my car needs some work and I also recommended him to some of my friends who have had trouble finding a good mechanic in Baltimore.

I broke down near Pauls and was towed there for service. They determined the alternator to be the problem and reccomended several other repairs including all new rotors, brake pads, a new belt, rear axle seals, a coolant flush, and brake fluid flush. I checked their pricing against my Nissan dealer, and the alternator / belt replacement was fairly priced, so I had Pauls do the work. I was not interested in the flushes, so I declined. My only concern was the pricing for the brakes & rotors. It would have cost $1500 at Pauls and $450 at Nissan so I bought them my self at Advanced Auto for $250 and will install later this week. I did not think to ask Paul while I was there, but I suspect that he priced a higher end rotor / pad than what I need. Either way, the labor of $550 was too high for that work.The people there were friendly and they got me in and out quickly so I would go there again. Just dont be afraid to check the pricing.

Unfortunately my experience with Paul lannons shop and the Paul lannon the owner was short lived. I called to recieve a quote on Parts and service and due to his dislike for my vehicle he reponded abruptly laughing and saying, That my car is the Joke of the mustang world, ill be honsest with yah i dont want to do the work . That was a diffrent kind of discrimination. Short story... that was absolutley a first for me. Definitely Impressed by that.. not in a good way.

Having had Paul take care of my aging 99 Honda CRV for years, it finally gave up the ghost two years ago. I bought a new Prius V in 8/13, and used Bill Kidds for oil changes due to Toyotas two year free service plan. Bill Kidds customer service is HORRIBLE! (Last oil change took 3 1/2 hours!) I will never use them again, and willonly take my car to Pauls Automotive from now on. He is honest, smart as a whip when it comes to cars, and a really nice guy. A truly rare bird in the car repair business!

I went there couple of years ago to change the oil. Not where I usually go, but they were close and I needed to take care of it so I went there. They did the oil change, but did not reset something, so I got new warning lights on the panel after I left the shop, in addition, when it started to rain later in the day it turned out that my wipers are not working. When my husband looked at them he found that the screws on them where loosened, and if we didnt know what to look at we would definitely take the car back to the shop to fix them, I think this was what they where hoping for.

Paul and his crew are the best mechanics Ive known--- honest, reliable, trustworthy, determined to get things right. Paul always offers advise as advise--- never as an ultimatum about which repairs should be done with a car. Theres no browbeating--- only respect for the customer and an instinct that the cars are machines that have their own needs and temperaments.
