I am so happy with this office and the staff. Megan is the hygienist that I have seen and she cleans my teeth like I have never had them cleaned before. Dr Kim is great, she did a bridge for me in April and I smile so confidently now. Very clean and professional office. I am relaxed having work done there. I recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist!!

Very disingenuous on their pricing. I took my son for a cleaning and called and specifically asked for the price without insurance. I was told $89. I was absolutely shocked when I went to pay and was handed a bill for $223. No one could give me an explanation for why the visit was nearly 3 times the price I was quoted. There were no X-rays taken, just a cleaning that took less than 20 minutes on a 6 year old. Had they been honest about their pricing, I would have gone somewhere else. I canceled my own appointment as well. Very disappointing.

Its very unfortunate to say but between the proven prices they dont speak on lack their if in communication and providers of properly caring. I came in with a shattered back tooth. Not only did they not give me cap options that where in my insurance lines budget they took 2.5 weeks to get me in after putting temp 4 day filling in my broken tooth and order that a procaline crown when my insurance only covered up to gold. So i got hit with almost 800$ and my tooth still isnt right. I will not go back here. Im now having to delay my things in life due to a fluid sack filling up in my left side jawline. Since these people have no idea whats going on.

The quickest, least painful filling Ive ever received. The staff is very attentive, and has clear communication about costs and client needs.I also received Botox for my bruxism and had all my questions and concerns answered and taken seriously. My chronic jaw pain has already started to alleviate not even an hour after and I feel confident in my decision, which Im not sure I wouldve felt to such a degree if I had the procedure done at a medical spa instead.

Staff was all excellent & the office is very clean and comfortable. They were all very kind, and considerate & welcoming. Glad this will be my new dentist.

Lifelong patient!I have been going to Ballwin Dental Care for over 30 years, and I have always had excellent care. They are so nice and friendly!I appreciate their assistance and attention to the details when it comes to my changing insurance coverage over the years. I also really trust they are protecting my private information and are following HIPPAA guidelines. In my recent visits during Covid, I have felt very safe going to their office.I recently had my 6 month check up and cleaning, and then went back a few weeks later for a filling. I was able to lay back and watch a YouTube video that I had started earlier in the day WHILE I was getting my tooth filled. It made me at ease and I can say it helped make it a pleasant experience... which is not something that you would typically say with regards to getting a cavity filled!I highly recommend them to everyone I know.

This place takes your money and says they’ll provide medical help and in reality they don’t. I brought my daughter because she had irritated gums and the doctor was guessing at what it could be. Saying it looks like a virus and if it doesn’t go away to come back and they will look at it again. A month passé and my daughters gums didn’t get better. I called back to Ballwin Dental and wanted to bring my daughter back for a second evaluation. The receptionist said they talked to the doctor and the doctor said to go to a pediatric dentist. Why did Ballwin dental take my money in the first place if they are not a pediatric dentist? Everyone in the office was busy with food in their hands while my daughter was there the first time. If felt like we were at a restaurant and not a dentist office. They refused to refund money for not being able to properly diagnose my daughters gums condition and the only thing they could say is she needs a pediatric dentist. Awful place with scammers. They are only there to take your money and not to provide help. I would give them 0 stars if it was possible. Stay away from them.

I’ve been less than impressed with BDC since they moved locations. I don’t know what it is, but it seems like the only concern is collecting $$$. I get they’re not running a charity but there’s a clear distinction between caring for patients or treating them like an outright nuisance. My last couple visits have been the latter. I recently spent more time waiting for billing to get me an estimate (based off our former insurance which we have provided the updated information for twice) than I did in the actual chair. In the end, I was handed a sheet of paper with estimates that were scratched out with an ink pen and a written revision that included three zeros (which is nowhere near what I actually owe). I understand they’re going for transparency, but it felt a lot more like they were shoving a random piece of paper in my hand along with a not-so-subtle kick in the rear. We won’t be going back.UPDATE: What is going on with this place? I literally just got a call for an appointment that was cancelled days ago. They’ve sent me email reminders, text messages, the raven hasn’t arrived yet, but I’m sure it’s en route. Now I suppose they’ll charge me a missed appointment fee for something that was cancelled well before the time frame stated in their policy.

Not a good experience I had.Came for the first time to do normal dental check-up and got cavity filling.I had severe pain after the cavity filling and paid my second visit for the same but the doctor who did that was available and I made an appointment to meet him to discuss the issue but he did not had courtesy to even see me or take a look at the problem which he was responsible for rather he just filled someone in to tell me now to go for root canal and did not even care to check.

Absolutely loved my care at Ballwin Dental! The staff is always so kind and eager to help. I was able to schedule my appointment easily over text (with a real person--not a robot!) They even went the extra mile and contacted me when an opening became available earlier in the week for an appointment. The staff at BDC are very friendly. My hygienist was amazing. I had a pain-free experience...only my second one in decades.Why only three stars? First, they are not in my insurance network. Yes, I should have checked before I went there. However, it would have been nice had someone at their office said, By the way, did you know we are not in your insurance companys network? As a result, I have a stiff co-pay I was not expecting, all for exams, x-rays, and cleaning which should have been covered 100%.Beyond that, the big issue was their recommendation for a crown. Now, I absolutely agree I need a crown. Their quoted price, before insurance, was around $1800 for one 1st molar. A quick bit of research proved that price was about twice what is considered on the high end for STL County.I have to find another dentist due to the insurance coverage. I am looking forward to what the new office will quote for one crown. If my new provider has a similar price, I will come back here and bump my rating up by one star. If they come back with a much lower price, I will lower my rating of BDC by one star, if not two. Time will tell.Anyway, be absolutely sure BDC is on your insurance because they will not tell you if they are not.

I went to BDC for many times this past year or two. I’m sad to say I will have to choose another place instead after what recently happened to me. When I first went there they told me they were in network with Metlife and that was why I chose them in the first place. I did a lot of things with them(cleaning, examinations, fillings, etc)but they never told me they stopped being in network with MetLife and charged me more than what I should’ve paid. They even said they checked my insurance and said my insurance wouldn’t pay for an annual cleaning and asked me to pay in full out of pocket. I called my insurance the next day and found out that they will cover 90% of it. I asked for a refund and they ask me to wait for 3-4 weeks. I’m very disappointed because I used to like this place and referred a friend here. Now I have to go to say I was wrong about it after all.

I had to find a new dentist due to retirement on my old dentist, I might add with no notice. I have always had a fear of dentists, bu I needed help because I had a tooth that broke off. I went on line and found Ballwin Dental in Ballwin which was close to my home. That was my lucky day, I met Dr. Janelle Peterson DDS and her assistant Sonya C. They treated ne with the greatest respect, explaining everything to me, what I needed and promptly developed a treatment plan for the work I needed. Dr. Janelle gave me choices and professional opinion. For the first time in my life I felt safe and my fear diminished and I scheduled my follow up appointments . I have now completed my treatment plan and I have to say it has been a wonderful experience. There needs to be more dentists like Dr. Janelle, caring, informative and gentle !! I never thought I would find this, I am the lucky one, and have referred my best friend that has not went to a dentist for several years and she to had a great experience.

Ive had good dental care here for two years now. Theyre punctual, staff is very well trained and Ive never had any issues with billing or otherwise. On the contrary Ive been pleased by the kindness and gentle touch, theyve been patient and attentive to my anxiety while getting four cavities and cleanings completed.I was so pleased by the pain free experience last time that I said I hope I have another cavity in six months!.

Yesterday after months of isolation for COVID-19, I reported for a cleaning and a filling replacement. All precautions were in place, I was greeted at my car, checked, and courteously coached. Once called to enter I was guided to my room for my dental cleaning. Then I was expertly cared for by the hygienist. After that I was escorted to the dentist and the dental tech for the filling work. All went well, I experienced no pain, and everyone treated me in a cheerful, yet professional way. The cost that was not covered by insurance had been estimated and shared with me when I made the appointment and I paid exactly that amount. Even during this weird time, great dental care is available right here.

Very rude! and always love $$$ from patients on top of insurance money even just for cleaning!!! the surprise bills may hit you all of sudden after couple of months from the visit, it happened to me multiple times!!! So, be careful with them dealing! or better stay away, and choose a truly better service providers around!

Just for an exam to look at one tooth was $116. Definitely going to find a place thats cheaper. I have a tooth that needs to be pulled they referred me to somewhere else to pull it. I was here 8 years ago and had three wisdom teeth pulled at Ballwin dental. The dentist I had before retired. Im guessing dentist dont pull teeth anymore :(

Had a cleaning and this was my first appointment with this office. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They took time to get to know me. That was an unexpected but welcome change from previous dentists. Nothing was rushed. They did a great job with the cleaning and did a gentle flossing. They did not try to sell me on extras NOT covered by insurance (example...adult fluoride and cancer screening rinses etc...). Also, they did not bring up the fact that my teeth are not perfectly straight and pressure me into braces. In fact they did not bring it up at all and that was very much appreciated. I feel that this dental office did an excellent job making me feel important and does not seem to put profits first. I hope they continue to do business this way!

This was my first visit to Ballwin Dental Care. The people at the front desk were amazing. They made me feel very welcome and seemed genuinely concerned with my comfort. They even gave me a quick tour of the office before my appointment. Amy, was very sweet and walked me through all the steps and was very concerned about my comfort. Dr. Dan was a great guy. I was surprised that he did everything on my first appointment except the cleaning. He wanted to do everything himself on the first visit. Usually I wouldnt see my dentist until everything was finished. The poking of my gums was very uncomfortable. I had never had a dentist do that. It was like a needle going into my gum above every tooth. I hope that doesnt happen on every visit. Other than that short discomfort, Ballwin Dental Care far exceeded my expectations and all past experiences with a dentist.

Wonderful experience at Ballwin Dental today. The up front staff were welcoming and accommodating and Debbie the dental hygienist was top notch. I have a tooth infection. The dentist did not put a quantity on the form for the antibiotic prescription. Pharmacy called them three days ago...I still do not have a prescription. Tried calling the dentist directly. No response.

Everyone is so nice, welcoming and friendly. For my first time there the staff made me feel like a VIP. Dr. Dan was awesome - very thorough and informative, he took the time to explain things to you and answered any questions you had. Jessica, the dental assistant, was also very nice and knowledgeable. Angie and Jeanie were just awesome and made you feel calm and comfortable being in a dentists office. Ive already referred them to 2 friends and I set up my next appointment before I left. This is probably the best experience Ive ever had at a dentist in almost fifty years. Their service is spa-like, putting the comfort of the client first. For example, I was asked what my greatest concerns were, e.g., pain, time, cost, explanation, and then the service was customized to address those concerns. In addition, every detail seems state-of-the-art, whether it is scheduling, payment processing, x-rays, cleanings, or the procedure itself. Families, especially, will appreciate the individualized music, video, and toothpaste flavors during the procedure. You wont feel like a number in line here. In fact, its a bit hard to leave. Yes, thats right. Youll want to stay and enjoy the people at your dental practice. When have you ever heard that?

They scheduled my follow up appointments around my crazy work schedule and let me know up front what all of the costs will be. I had a front tooth crown that came out when I was flossing. The staff worked me into their busy schedule the same day. I was treated with the utmost professionalism, courtesy and skill not only by Doctor Dan but also his very talented and pleasant assistant Melissa. The ladies up front are so nice! They were very welcoming and made me feel at home. I have a little bit of fear going to the dentist, but the dental assistant and dentist did a great job keeping me calm during the whole process of checking my teeth and when he cleaned them! I cant remember their names, but they were very informative about what was going on with my teeth and reassured me that everything will be okay as long as I take care of what needs to be done. I looked at my teeth in the mirror as soon as I got to my car and I cried because they look 10× better! I was very embarrassed of how they looked before getting the cleaning, but now they look beautiful! Thank you!

I called Ballwin Dental Care because I had lost a filling. Even though I was a new patient, they were able to get me in the same day. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Dr. Kimberly was absolutely wonderful. She was super patient and kind, giving me breaks when I needed them and doing everything possible to make me comfortable. She and her assistant (Im sorry I dont remember her name) worked so well together, explaining everything and putting me at ease. If you need a dentist, this is the place to go!

When I called the office, the staff was polite and helpful over the phone. During my appointment the dentist made sure I was comfortable and at ease. He was very professional. I was very impressed with the complete visit.

Debbie and Dr. Dan are ALWAYS friendly and gentle. They are are always patient with my questions and informative. The adies in the front are the absolute best in giving you whatever you may need and being so kind and courteous!

These people are great and the facility is too! I had to cancel an appointment, but they werent mad about it and kept in touch with me to make another appointment at a better time. My dentist is family so I usually have my needs met but I had a quick fix emergency and WOW was I blown away! The staff at Ballwin Dental Care were super friendly and squeezed me in with my emergency in mind! Jeannie in the front office was so nice and accommodating! Even though my visit was brief, Jessica and Dr. Gennaoui had great demeanor and were both super easy going. If I ever need work and cant get in, I wont hesitate to call these professionals

Everyone is very friendly, conscientious, and helpful. Kellee was quite patient and did a great job. Angie was most helpful regarding checking insurance issues. You have a great staff, including the other receptionists.

Had my first visit at Ballwin Dental today, and I can honestly say it was the best dental visit I’ve ever had. They really took the time to get to know me, and what I wanted in dental care.
