I decided to switch dentists when my dentist moved even further across town. Auburn Dental Center is in NE Bakersfield just 5 minutes from my house so I decided to try it on the recommendation by a neighbor. Last week I had my first 2 appointments there and I was very pleased! The technician took a full set of x-rays and she was so professional and friendly. Dr Pham examined my teeth a even made a bite adjustment I needed for a poor-fitting crown. He was very gentle and skilled. I felt totally relaxed with him. Two days later the dental hygienist Laura cleaned my teeth and did a great job. She was very gentle also. The two receptionists are friendly and efficient. The office is exceptionally clean. I highly recommend Auburn Dental Center and Dr Pham!!

This is one of my first reviews, but I had to give Dr. Shively 5 plus stars.I have been to him three times in the past two years. Twice to have crowns done and once for a filling. Would it be weird to hear that it was a peaceful great experience? Yes, I said a filling and crowns, a peaceful experience!From getting in the chair, to the injection, to his caring chair side manner and the beautiful end result!I could not ask for a better experience.He is thorough and he is very good at what he does! I can tell he likes his profession! That’s really important to me, to know the person I am dealing with whether they are a chef, a hairstylist doctor or dentist, that they are doing what they love. It most definitely shows, in their countenance and how they treat you! It shows in his, he is professional, and easygoing and kind!Bonus too, he’s right here in the northeast! Look no further!

This is a fantastic dental office. Dr Pham has an outstanding disposition and his work is first rate state of the art. He fixed a tooth that had been bothering me for years with a crown he made in a single office visit. It fit perfectly and solved my problem in less than 3 hours. My previous dentist was unable to resolve what Dr Pham did quickly with some of the best communication I have ever experienced from a doctor or dentist. I highly recommend Auburn Dental.

Auburn Dental Center is the most state of the art dental center in town. You can have your crown fitted in one visit as it is custom made while you wait. Dr. Shively and his staff are very nice and always make you comfortable. From a check-up to a cleaning to a filling or a root canal, Dr. Shively and his staff can always meet your dental and hygiene needs with a smile. Dr. Shively is reassuring and very gentle.

Let me preface this by saying: I hate having to go to the dentist. I have had a LOT of dental work done and it is usually painful and without much care for the patients wants or feelings towards treatment. This is the first dentist that I have ever been to that actually included me in the decisions on my treatment plan.The staff was all very friendly and seemed to genuinely care about me as a patient. Everyone was incredibly helpful and understanding of my anxiety about dentists. Dr. Shively is incredibly nice and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed. They dont overbook so you get a lot of face-time with the dentist, and they also give you real time estimates for your visit so you can plan the rest of your day accordingly. He actually spent quite a bit of time talking to me about my personal dental needs and what we can do to optimize my dental care.I am actually looking forward to going back to see Dr. Shively. I will definitely recommend him to all of my friends and family members! I already told a friend about him and they are planning to schedule their next appointment with this wonderful team! I been going to Auburn dental for 18 years great staff very professional

Needed to find another dentist around the area, decided to give this place a try. Was able to schedule an appointment fairly quick. Got scheduled under Dr. Pham. Day of the appt: Checked in the front desk and after 10 mins, the dental assistant came out to greet me, prepped me up for xrays etc. Then Dr. Pham came in the room very energetic and went over my xrays with me and consulted me on what work needs to be done. Luckily it was very minor work since the last dentist told me I have 10 cavities, I needed a 2nd opinion and hence here I am. He saw only a couple of cavities that werent that major and kept a close watch on it as long as I brush and floss everyday I should be fine. Did some teeth cleaning with the hygienist and that was it. The staff were very nice and friendly. Dr. Pham is conservative with his diagnosis which I like. Dr. Shively was also there to greet me. Such a friendly place, I highly recommend.....Forgot to mention, I love the massage chairs, it was very relaxing. :)

Dr. Shively, has been my dentist for 30 years. His dental office is one of the best in town without exaggeration. It all starts when you call and setup an appt and walk into his office that the patient is provided the best service possible. All the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.Dr. Shively has a new associate Dr. Roger Pham. They make a wonderful team providing the same qualitycare. I was pleasantly surprise when I met doctor Pham. Dr. Pham is friendly and quickly makes you feel comfortable and safe in his care. He performed a complete neck and head cancer evaluation on me, and mentioned oral cancer was on the rise and wanted to make sure everything checked out ok. He advised my husband to go see a dermatologist because of an unusualy shaped mole on his neck. He advised me to think about a recommendation he made to me. I appreciate his approach in the way he explains his findings in his exam and in making his recommendations. He is always aware of what the patient might be feeling and is always checking with the patient if they are doing okay when he is working in their mouth. I’m very happy for Dr. Shively and for his patients, that he now has Dr. Pham working with him because I know Dr. Shively wants the best for his patients that’s why I have been going to see him for 30 years.
