These guys are amazing. Shift linkage broke on a road trip and they fixed it on the spot. Cant thank you enough.
Cool guys. Got towed to their shop and they wouldnt work on my BMW. They let me work on it myself in their parking lot for free.
On a recent multi-state trip, our truck broke down in Baker City, Oregon. It appeared to be a transmission issue and as ours had recently been rebuilt, we were in need of a shop that honored our warranty. Pauls was recommended by the responding tow agency, the rental car provider, and the RV park where our fifth wheel trailer was taken. In fact, Pauls was a supporter of our warranty which was fortuitous.Over the next few days, I was able to meet/talk with Paul and his crew several times. Wow... great great people! They were patient, sociable and took all the time I required to explain what had happened to our truck as well as how it would be fixed. The damage was indeed warranty related and although the original shop balked at the repair, Paul insured that it was taken care of.As disruptive as breaking down far from home can be, I feel blessed to have done so in the vicinity of this amazing shop. They are thorough, precise, and skilled at what they do. As a often overlooked bonus, they are damn good people.
Speaking or a person who is trying to fix a wheelchair van disabled person it was a little expensive on a 20 year old van that turned out to all the members of a computer module change said they wouldnt even touch it
Very helpful and friendly
A big shout out to Paul and his team! Paul Townsend is an upstanding individual and business owner. His shop is efficient and honest with quality, reasonably priced mechanic work. I brought my car in for repair while on vacation, his shop diagnosed and repaired my vehicle within the timeframe needed. I was so impressed!I had tried to get the problem fixed before I left for this trip but had a couple of shops try to run me around. Turns out I had to drive 450 miles to Baker to have Paul fix this for me. Thanks Paul!!
When our Honda Odyssey broke down on I-84 we were desperate to get back on the road to meet an important deadline. Unable to get it repaired in time, Pauls had the ONLY available rental van in Baker City (or anywhere nearby, for that matter). Despite the fact that it is a loaner car & integral to his business (& our car was taken to another shop for repairs), Paul was kind enough & sympathetic enough to let it out for more than a week. It allowed us to complete our mission. Not only that, the van was a *sweetheart* to drive and the rate was a steal! My biggest complaint is that i cant give them TEN stars.
What a great business. Paul worked on my truck the day I called him. I was only in town 2 days for work. Everyone else in town were scared to take my heater problem. Thanks again Paul..
Paul and his team did a great job on my car. They worked fast, were honest, and friendly. Im naturally skeptical so I searched online to compare the price he quoted and was happy to see that his price was more than fair.
We are from out of town. We were pulling our trailer when our car got stuck on the side of the road. We had all the symptoms of needing a new transmission. After thoroughly checking our car out, the guys at Paul’s ended up simply changing the transmission filter. They were professional, kind and honest (they could have easily sold us a new transmission as that’s what we were convinced we needed).Every person that we encountered (everyone at Paul’s transmission, Sean at Superior Towing, Bob at Auto Ranch) in this awesome town was amazing
Thank you thank you thank you James and all connected with Pauls shop..James was right on target with timeline and repairs when we had an unexpected breakdown last week. Got us back on the road and was very helpful to get us in right away even with jobs ahead of us. Our visit to your city was all the better by such timely and professional business.
Clowns
Thank you so much for getting my truck in on short notice today 10/29/18 so I could get back home to Portland!!!
If you go to Pauls to get service. Pleas please please try and find a different shop.Paul took our car, after 7 days we got a call saying it was done. We were very suprised because we never got a call to approve the work to be done. Witch is state law.. He charged us 3,500 for a rebuilt transmission. Please go to another shop dont let your self get screwed like we did!
We had a problem with our newly purchased/previously owned 2007 Chevy Silverado, which several mechanics had tried to fix, unsuccessfully. Paul threw everything he had at this problem, including 20+ years of experience, thorough research into discussion groups on the web, auto manuals and periodicals and his extensive network of professional mechanics from sea to shining sea to glean everything he could from anyone else who had experience with this particular malfunction. Exhausting all of these resources still only left Paul with temporary fixes, and the malfunction would return. Paul had to venture into NoMans land to solve this problem with his own particular brand of tenacity and genius. He is a trailblazer, a master of his trade, and a hero by all accounts. Thank you Paul & Debbie, James and Bryan.
Very nice people. Even though they didnt do the work we needed, they took time to help find us someone who could.
Good
They attempted to overcharge us for a simple and cheap fix, instead were towing our car home to fix it ourselves. Dont let them take advantage of you for being an out-of-towner.
Had distributor replaced and truck hasnt run right since.
Best place in town for transmission repairs
Great mechanic fair prices!
