Better than most martial arts. They dont primarily instruct karate, but as well as boxing, kickboxing, taekwando, judo, and jiu-jitsu. It may be a bit small but that doesnt matter, its the instructors that do. Shihan M. Jablonski is one of the greatest instructor because he is dominantly a 9th degree black belt. One of the highest ever. Also Sensai Brian is very understanding and very helpful. There are two classes, one for the kids and one for the adults. This particular martial arts class instructed by these great instructors have a unique style, while some parts are flashy but what do you expect of traditional martial arts to do. Ive learned so much about martial arts and as well as learning different kinds of fighting or different martial arts. (By the way you get to learn how to use a variety of weapons such as: the bo staff, nun-chunks, sais, tonfas, knives, etc.and even the sword)

I have been a student of martial arts for almost 30 years, including various styles of kung fu, taekwondo, and kempo. While every system and martial arts instructor has their strengths and weaknesses, Shihan Mike Jablonski is the by far the best martial arts instructor I have ever had. The other instructors at Red Dragon are also very good. This dojo offers nearly every aspect of martial arts training (and certainly everything I was looking for), including traditional forms, structured self-defense techniques, conditioning, sparring, practical street self-defense, grappling and weapons. I think it is worth making special note of the weapons training, because that is something that very few schools offer, and Shihan Jablonski teaches a vast number of weapons (bo staff, kamas, tonfas, nunchucks, sai, katana, and others) and does them extremely well. Also, he starts teaching them at yellow or orange belt (junior ranks), so you dont have to study for years before you get introduced to weapons.Shihan Jablonski has the expertise to tailor his teaching to each students needs and capabilities, while still pushing them to master the skills, principles and techniques he believes in and knows to be most effective. And more than anything, he is passionate about helping each student achieve their highest potential. Regardless of your level of experience in martial arts, you will absolutely benefit from studying with Shihan Jablonski.A couple of other notes generally about the dojo. First, while it is a business and is there to make a profit, it is not run like a cash-cow. I never felt pressured to buy anything I didnt want, sign up for any classes I didnt want, or participate in any tournaments I didnt want to attend. Second, the kids’ classes can sometimes be big for one instructor to handle, but they generally do very good job with this. Adding private lessons (generally 30 minutes once a week, and not too expensive in my opinion) is definitely the best way to get the most out of what the school has to offer. Adult classes are usually fairly small (4-6 students.) This may be a pro or con depending on your tastes. Every student in the adult class is nice, cooperative and fun to work with. No egos!Unless you are looking for a particular style (e.g. wushu, tai chi, etc.), I think you would be hard pressed to find a better place to study anywhere.
