Before you go to Raul’s Mickey-mouse shop make sure you look at the low star reviews with detailed horrible experiences, and his bought 5 star reviews that have 1 sentence saying “good work”. Its a trend that can’t be made up. Make sure you’re ready to get the most expensive solution for something that’s not needed on your Engine. I’m actually surprised this place is still open with all the fraud that goes on in this company, they should be in jail for what they do. I got a brand new car since then after they jacked up my previous vehicle and will not even dare to bring it around Raul as he is known to charge you for stuff that’s not needed on your vehicle! It won’t get fixed and you’ll be pouring money into his pocket before you know it. Simple thing to do is ask him to fix your car, it won’t be fixed I PROMISE you.

First things first, check the Yelp Review of this place and youll find that its 2/5 stars (for good reason) and I suspect many of these positive reviews are fake.Mike, the son of Raul (the business owner), mainly handles this place. As the son, I suspect that he has no incentive to provide quality service or work (hes not going to get fired) and it shows.I tried work with them for THREE weeks, every single day either leaving it at the shop to get it fixed or testing driving it, and the problem still is not solved. Here are things I noticed in my long experience with them:1) Mike genuinely could not care less about your car. I literally brought it in with a check engine light, and two days later when he told me to come pick up the car, I start my car and check engine light is STILL THERE. He didnt even check.Went I asked him, he just shrugged Meh, I dont know. They said it was ready. I suspect that didnt even work on it for those two days.2) Mike is too lazy to care about customers. They have a shuttle service where they drop you off at home (which I initially thought was very considerate) has a drawback. You see, after they drop you off, theyre supposed pick you back up. This is something the owner confirmed.But Mike doesnt want to do that. Thats work. So he pestered me EVERY TIME (all five out of five times) to get myself an Uber. Can you just get an Uber? Maybe you should get an Uber. Yeah, I think getting an Uber would be best.Raul, the dad, the owner, is even worse, but you can read my review at the other location for more on that. TL;DR Fake positive reviews, check Yelp, lazy son, horrible service, find a better place on Yelp.

Little pricey but they knew what they were doing.

I came here to replace my intake manifold runner control that was stuck open! They returned my truck with two codes on and truck idealing bad my truck didnt have any of those issues! They supposedly checked and replace the previous installed part little did they know i live in front and never moved my truck for repair, after i told them how much to fix the new issue they said 980, turns out after i was inspecting they never connected the vacuum hose and Raul told me it was a whole other issue be careful with this money hungry guys they are theifs and will try to take you for everything i will be in touch with the better business bureau and with a lawyer . GO ELSE WHERE THEY MAKE MECHANIC LOOK BAD WITH THERE WORK.

I had a disappointing experience with Raul, after he smog checked my car and ran diagnostics on everything, and charged me fully for this, his recommendations to pass smog check was to rebuild my engine and replace my catalicit for a cost around $3000.00 for a $2000 old car. I went to different auto repair, he replaced my punctured gas tank, then I passed Smog check smoothly for a fraction of RAULS estimated cost.

This place is friendly and quick. I havent had this kind of treatment in along time. I highly recommend Rauls. Everybody I know will hear about Rauls.

Raul has always been a mechanic you can trust and his crew is quick too. He knows that most of us need our cars and tries to make sure we’re not stranded without it for very long. Even if your car has a list of things that it needs. He will tell you what has to be done now and what can wait till payday. I’m happy to call him my mechanic

I went to a shop to get my transmission fixed because it was leaking. I had taken it to other shops to see if they could help but they all turned me down. Looked on google and found this shop. So happy I did. Kevin, the nicest dude, told me not to worry and, said that he would do his best to stop the leak. He took his time, took care of my car as his own and, not only help me fix that leak but, also help me resolve my other problems as well. He gave me a great price on all the repairs! I would give this place 6 stars!

I called around before going to Rauls and no one else could replace the ignition in my VW Beetle. They Idid a great job and were fast. I would have given them 5 stars but I didnt because whoever worked on my car left grease hand prints all over the interior drivers door and seat. Other than that they did a great job!!

Rip offs took in my 1985 Chevy caprice for some noise that it was making on the lower part of the engine they told me that my engine wasn’t good any more it currently had a 305 engine and told Lyno his ex employee he had to go a head and put another engine A 350 A month later they said my car was done came in paid him 2800 took my car home car was shaking very bad oil leaking from Valve covers gas was leaking from fuel lines and carburetor, oil was leaking from oil pan took it back the next day so they can repair all of the Mickey Mouse work they had done, they called me back said it was done I went back and inspected the car And all they did was Mickey Mouse it again they put silicone all around on my oil pan cut hoses tape hoses I was very disappointed in their work spoke to Raul after and all he could tell me was I had an old car, My car has been in and out of Raul’s shop for over a year I have not been able to drive my car with the new engine, to top it off the noise I had took it in for the beginning still does it so what does that mean that it was not my engine after all it was my tork converter I spoke to Raul about that and all he can do is lie in my face like he has been from the beginning I just feel sorry for all those people that keep going to his shop not knowing exactly what he’s doing which is ripping people off There is so much other things I can add that he has done but it is giving me a headache just thinking about it, I would never recommend this place to nobody I wouldn’t want them to go through what I’m going through till this day......

This place is Bad took my 2009 BMW cause it was making A squeaky noise. Raul told me the alternator had to be replace!! He use Napa brand all the time he told me he uses top of the line BMW parts had so many issues till I took it BMW Monrovia had to pay extra to Raul to get an exchange for the old alternator he installed. Now my car runs perfect!! He lies an use cheap parts an charges Dealers prices!! NEVER TRUST THIS GUY...

The first thing is that they are so incredibly professional! The service is great. Raul and Steve are very easy to talk to and are very clear in telling me what they have to do in repairs, making them a trustworthy company I can rely on. This is especially important to me being someone who has been taken advantage of in past automobile dealings. On September 28, 2016 I a G35 in for clicking noises probably originating from the suspension. I was told the cost would be $45 just to diagnose the problem but the amount could be used as a future credit if work was to be authorized. I agreed if I was allowed to bring in my own OEM parts online. Raul agreed hesitantly because the previous receptionist on the Saturday before said I could bring in parts that I could find for a better price.In todays day and age, I find it hard to believe someone like Raul still does not recognize the internet and the pricing available to customers. I have a business myself and I am frequently questioned if I will match prices. Initially my answer was no but I eventually changed my stance and agreed to match prices. I could do that to get the best value for my money and from the standpoint of the customers, they want the best value for their money too if they so request it. Rauls attitude completely changed from friendly to “youre wasting my time because Im not able to make money off of you for the parts that I cant charge at full price”. He didnt say those words but you could read it all over his face and his tone and attitude.I should have known better to walk right out but I went through with it believing in the reviews of past customers. Big mistake, after leaving the car most of the day, I was called in to told that all the shocks had to be replaced as well as the control arms. I said to him, some of the control arms are brand new. Whats wrong with them? He then changed his story and said the upper control arms. I asked what was wrong with the uppers? Are they bent? Are the bushings bad? The answer was an evasive one, “theyre making noise, they need to be replaced”. At the end of the day, I am confident Raul did not even do a thorough diagnosis and took the lazy easy way out by saying replace everything and still ended up charging me $45 for that lazy test drive.I took it to another mechanic about a week later and was told that the suspension bolts needed tightening. He tightened them and the noises disappeared. The shocks were in good condition, the arms were in good condition. What a lazy and greedy man for the half butt effort he gave for his wrong and inaccurate diagnosis. There was a definite breach of due care and a presence of negligence if not outright fraud.

I took my Nissan Sentra for a noise inspection, they Inspected and said that I need to replace the Motor Mounts for around $600. Following day I thought to get my car Inspected from Nissan Dealership, They inspected and certified that motor mounts are good. Sound was coming from Bumper. This is not something expected from a good rating Auto Repair shop.

Rauls Auto Repair surpassed my expectations. My friend had recommended me to them, so I took my 2004 BMW x3 in for some oil leaks it was having.They did a thorough job of looking for all the leaks, while another BMW shop had just done a visual inspection. Raul the owner, advise me of other repairs that were needed. Never felt any pressure to repair or felt like I was being ripped off. Found my mechanic will refer family and Friends. I took my Ford F150 truck to replace my radiator, water pump and thermostat. They charged me $500, and in return I received a truck with the fan shroud missing, thr radiator hose sitting on pully belt, rubbing a hole in it as bonus. Bolts not tightend on alteranator, so that rattled. Fan blade was put on backwards, so as that bonus, i now received a burned out fan clutch. The radiator came back to me not with any bolts that it went in with, but now held by zip ties. So you can go with your assessment on if you would be satisfied if it were your vehicle.

Ive been going to Raul for more than a year now and couldnt be more satisfied with his service, I have an older car a 1982 el Camino to be exact, and its really hard to find a auto shop that knows what there doing when it comes to carburetor engines, I totally recommend if you have an older car or want a good and reliable service.

Check Engine light on. Rauls wanted to charge me $1000 to fix. I got a second opinion and it was fixed for $173.50. No Check Engine light and I passed SMOG. Dont go to Rauls.

I came in to this place, since I read good things about it, only to realize they lie to their customers. Sure I was looking for a reasonable deal, but that shouldnt mean I was looking to be taken advantage of. No top off of fluids on my vehecle included with oil change. Before selecting a mechenic shop, I like to look for the better deal. I also called beforehand to specifically know if top off of fluids would be included. Well, eventhough I was told that, I checked anyways after my service was done. My radiator level was still low. Sad to think this place is considered professional.

Raul’s Auto Repair is a well-kept and organized Auto Shop in the SGV (Azuza to be specific). A friend of mine recommended me this place and fortunately that friend didn’t disappoint. I met with Kevin, (Raul’s Son) and explained what I thought was going on with my 03’ Jetta. Kevin and his ASE/ASA certified staff quickly diagnosed the issues and also pointed out a few things that might be problems in the future. I drove my car out of the shop the next day with the peace of mind in knowing that this place took care of my car like it was their own. Plus Raul’s Auto Repair is an associated Napa Auto Care Center, which means I also leave the lot with a nation wide warranty for service and parts. For peace of mind and great knowledgeable service, there is no other place I’d go to.
