I never leave bad reviews online. I hired these guys in advance for the interview I had with my wife with USCIS. They called me 5 minutes into the appointment to let me know they didn’t have a translator available. This affected the interview and they had to separate me from my wife. IO was very nice other officials could have cancel the appointment. Horrible experience with you guys and a “I am sorry” via phone doesn’t solve anything....

Really bad website processing, be careful on the processing of your payments, they tend to charge double and the answer to your claim is that they can do nothing about it because they translate the same document twice, so they will charge you twice. the translation is not bad but with this experience I don´t think Ill will be using the service again. This has to be the worst translation service ever.I have dealt with Universal Translation Services end of 2018.I needed a certified translation (DE->EN) in order to have my foreign education evaluated.Yet, I ended up correcting the translations myself and then send them my found mistakes to have the translations corrected.It took them more than 20 tries to have proper German -> English translations. (I do have proof of all the E-Mail communication and very faulty translation-tries.)For an unknown reason, they even managed to mix up all the signatures on several pages.I have paid $180 in order to have several pages translated and shipped, yet i have NEVER received them in physical.I have asked in the live chat, and this jenifer would tell me, that I have never ordered physical mailed translations and would need to pay an additional $10 for shipping. Once I told her, that I have an E-Mail from Anca Mihai, which shows that I have indeed ordered and paid for mailed translations, she tried to tell me that it had been shipped, which it never has and offered me once again a re-shipment for $10.Basicly these translations had not only cost me $180, but also alot of time, as most of the translations turned out to be worthless and wrong. Without reviewing and complaining about every single translated page, I would not have proper translations.I would not recommend Universal Translation Service, a customer should not be treated like this.

I needed a translation of my birth certificate from Malay to English. The quotes I received from multiple companies ranged from $20 to $180. Naturally, I choose Universal Translation Services for the low price of $20. I received the first draft first thing in the morning the next business day and after a minor correction my translated copy has an exact format including logos and signature in English. I am totally amazed by their attention to details and accuracy. I highly recommend Universal Translation Services and I would definitely use their service again when needed.

Just to be clear, I did not end up using the service as I found another company that was friend owned who I wanted to support. The reason I am leaving a review is before I found the other service, Universal Services online portal was very user friendly and the prices were very competitive. The staff provided me a quote at midnight and when I sent emails with questions, they replied within minutes. If I did not use my friends company, I would have used Universal and I recommend them to others based off the great experience I have had being a first time user!

I submitted a single document to be translated from thai to english with a certified translation The cost was $20.00. The first translation came back and the name was translated wrong by 1 letter. (dont worry even google and all of the other translators out there also mispelled it, with results that were not even close). I was happy with this. So I submitted the proper proof of spelling with other documents and sent it off. The email I received back also said that a second review would be forthcoming prior to finalization. Next I get the finalized copy back with the same misspellings I identified before. So I sent an email to the company explaining the project, and the errors with the document and the supporting documentation to show proper spelling. At this point I was worried if they would make the changes or would they charge me.I jump on chat and get connected to a very nice lady by the name of Cornelia. Guess what? She had my email and was already correcting the document as we chatted! NOW THAT IS IMPRESSIVE! I understand that it should have been done properly the first time, but in reality it sometimes doesnt, I get that. But what made me very happy was that I was able to resolve the issue quickly and painlessly. The updated document was sent to me via chat for review and it was correct. Had a quote done for two letters certified translation from english to Spanish that I needed urgently done. Found this website and saw that the website stated various times that their turn around time was under 24 hours. Sent in my forms and waited for the quote (which says should take 5 minutes and took over an hour) the quote said my documents would be done 3 days later, called to see if this was a mistake and the lady said that they didnt have any translators available (never even asked me what languages I was translating, I had to tell her after she said she couldnt find any available translators) the website also says they work 24/7 and the lady said that during the weekends they dont really have people working. I think its ridiculous to advertise 24 hour turnover time when you actually dont have that, had the website said from the start translations take a few days or weekends not included I would understand but it actually says the complete opposite. I wasted over an hour waiting for the quote and on the phone with them when I could have gone through another service. Disappointed.

This company is EXCELLENT. I needed a rare birth certificate translated within less than 24 hours for Military enlistment purposes and they made it happen! They took 1 month to send me the document. After following up every week for 3 weeks, I asked that they send it to their NYC office for me to pick it up, since apparently they were not capable of sending it to me. The money I had paid for delivery to my apartment, they had used to deliver to their NYC office (and I would still need to pick it up). I had to take a few hours off work to get to their office. Despite me telling them that I was coming, when I arrived, no one was there (their hours are very inconvenient, 9 to 5, and at 4:55 they seem to already shut down). I called their sales department (that one is open all the time obviously) rather angry, asking for them to FedEx it to me. They said OK. I said in that case, send it to my work address (so much time had passed that I had actually moved out of my old address). They said they couldnt, that the address had to be the same as the 1st time. I insisted, they said OK and took my work address. I received contradictory emails saying that they could not ship it again. In the end, I received the paper translation at my old address, so I had to coordinate with the new tenant for me to pick it up. Clear communication problems, and only did what they were asked when I yelled on the phone, and even then they didnt do it properly. They might answer this comment saying so sorry blablabla, they seem to have good reviews all in all, but what can I say, with me everything was messed up, and I wish I had used another companys services.

Best certified translators by a long shot. They are able to offer over 80 languages. Any immigration attorney should have them on speed dial. Anyone looking to come to the USA should have them on speed dial. They do it right. Its so important that the documents are translated correctly to avoid costly delays or potential rejection due to a translation error.

This place is an absolute scam. I needed a birth certificate to be translated from Japanese to English, and they charged me $113 for three pages. Firstly, I provided them with all of the names that would be in the document and they still got the names in the document wrong. Worst of all, they translated my fathers name to Fountain. How is that even a Japanese name? They probably just entered the character into Google translate. Secondly, they translated dates incorrectly. How do you get dates wrong? On top of all of this, they delivered the translation to me a day late. So I complained, and they fixed it but several of the names and dates were still incorrect. I asked to speak with the supervisor but the staff kept telling me that even if I called, I would not be able to speak with the supervisor. I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE using Universal Translation Services if you are looking for legitimate translation services.

I requested a notarized translation of my diploma from Spanish to English through their website. They sent me the translation to my email very fast, and they quickly made the changes I requested before the final version was notarized. I would totally recommend working with this agency.

Very unreliable.We pointed out that they did not deliver HALF of the job we ordered and paid for. It took over a dozen calls, emails and it is STILL not fixed as they are still reviewing whether they will charge us more to fix this. I had a really bad experience translating my documents with this company. They are doing a terrible job! I do not know where the translators received their certification from, but I had a great example of unprofessionalism. It was my second time to request my document to be translated from French to English. Luckily, I was fortunate to be fluent in those two languages to recognize that the translation was INCORRECT!!!! I had to spend three hours, making the adjustments and send it back to them. I was literally doing their job. Despite all the adjustments, they were still not able to properly make the changes. I had to call and complain about it in order for them to properly translate my document. Something I would like to add is that there was no professionalism in these translation. NO PROFESSIONALISM!!!!! it was like a draft paper. I was so disappointed by their service. VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.REVIEW PART 2: the company is threatening me to take my google review down.I just received an email from this company requesting me to take my google review down; otherwise, I will not receive the document I paid for to be translated. The translated documents had mistakes in the spelling of my name, or in the date written in my original document, while in both cases, no translation was needed for such details: this required only to copy my name and the date as mentioned in my original document. Unacceptable horrible translation! They even managed to use a word that doesn’t exist in English language - “examination and passeds” - passeds is a verb in plural LOL instead of “tests” (translation of the Russian word “зачёты”. Overall translation was done often verbatim where phrases didn’t make sense in English. It feels like a combination of uneducated native speaker with google translator. It’s the worst I’ve seen.
