Mark has been a breath of fresh air. It is a pleasure to deal with such a polite and well-mannered professional. I had to seek his assistance twice in less than a year and both times he made the nerve wrecking experience of having a broken laptop significantly less stressful. Both times he was very accommodating with the meeting time and place and has completed the repairs in a timely manner. I would recommend Mark in a heartbeat. I am from Georgia, and I was referred by computer medics of Lanier, I left a review for them if you want to know more details but...My laptop was a GL551vw-ds71, a 2015 Republic of gamer asus laptop. The keyboard was completely unusable, dead keys, multi output on button press, and on the onscreen keyboard avaliable on windows 10 under accessibility it said the control button was being held down, the laptop dc jack was also pushed in and I later found out a shotty repair shop glued it in, I guess after they broke it trying to replace the screen, beyond that point, I shipped it out of state to Mark of Laptop jacks he was responsive and professional through our emails, He even cleaned the fans which just vouches to his professionalism, the repair was completely worth the cost as it is in a better condition then when I first got it, and I felt completely justified with the price as I was planning to do upgrades myself that I could handle, I replaced the internal 1tb HDD to a 2tb SSD and I have plans to double the ram.Mark has been wonderful,courteous,professional, and blew my expectations out of the water, if you have a repair that might be beyond your capability and you are thinking about buying a whole new computer ask Mark at Laptop Jacks for a estimate and from my experience I dont think you will be disappointed.

Had a tablet that wouldnt turn on. Mark took a look at it and discovered that it was still in an install mode. He returned tablet fully booted In less than 1 hour. When I asked how much he said no charge. Honest, prompt, reliable and knowledgeable.

This place deserves all the stars in the sky. If you are but semi handy with tools, you can fix your own laptop for 10% or less of the cost of sending it to the lab.My story is like this. I live in NYC. I needed a new a power jack, for an ASUS model they dont sell in the US. I tried to fix the part, but it was connected to the wires with a very bad soldering job and I guess it was just not built to be fixed, and so I needed a replacement. A quick google search showed me that power jacks like these cost about 5-8$ on Ebay, a little more with the wires and port attached.I removed the jack from my laptop, this takes 15 minutes at most. When I tried to take it to some repair labs they always said that they cannot sell you the part, but they would repair the old part for about 150$ (!!!) I couldnt find a replacement part since my laptop is uncommon in the US. Also, most places that sell these parts offer a very narrow selection. Like they are forcing you to pay for a new laptop, or spend way too much on a lab, all for a small part that should cost pennies.Then I found this place online, by accident. I couldnt find the right model, so I mailed them for help. they asked for a picture of the broken part and in the same day they found me the exact same jack in their catalog, with the wires, for 15$.The laptop is as good as new.In conclusion, if you need to replace a small part and dont want to be ripped off, this is the only place you should look that I know of.
