They are reasonable price for the sod and delivery. Very kind helpful stuff. But the quality of sod I would say depends on your luck, some of the prices were good quality some of them were just full of weeds. They will give you exchange or refunded.

I purchased four pallets of celebration Bermuda about a month ago. The price was good, especially considering how few places had sod after the winter storm. I was able to have it delivered to my house within a few days. The delivery truck showed up right on time at 7am and within 10 minutes all four pallets were in my driveway and he was on his way.I installed the grass immediately that day and followed the watering schedule from the website. Four weeks later the lawn looks great and I am 100% satisfied with the purchase.

First, some backstory.The winter weather was not kind to our lawn that was already in pretty dire shape. We tried as early as April to find sod, but supplies were low or non-existent. In July, I found that Home Depot had a pallet of some pretty ratty looking sod. It was dry, and picked through and sitting on a pallet in the parking lot. I bought 15 blocks of that sod and put it down. After 3 or four days, It looked like it was going to be ok, so thats when I decided that it was probably a good time to sod the rest of the yard.Our journey with the Grass Outlet began in July when I ordered 4 pallets of Texas Native St. Augustine. Upon arrival it looked healthy and I had no reason to question it that day. A few pieces on top were dry from transportation. We went about installing it immediately. By late morning, we were about done and began watering it in per the sod care guide. The first few days all seemed fine, but within a week, we noticed something wasnt right. We had prepped the areas well, and followed the installation and care instructions to a tee, so I knew that there wasnt anything I had done wrong. I knew to reach out to the company as soon as I noticed something.The customer service team was responsive and helpful in providing a possible diagnosis. It appeared that a handful of compounding conditions resulted in some type of a fungus taking hold. Per their instructions I treated the areas and remained hopeful. However, the condition continued to deteriorate. Then we treated for possible pests. No luck. The conditions continued to deteriorate and soon the sod was gone.They came through and helped resolve the issue. I rented a tiller from Home Depot and turned under the first four pallets of sod. A few days later the replacement grass arrived. I installed the same way Id done six weeks earlier.Now, 15 days after the installation of the replacement sod, it is rooting, looking healthy and growing. Theres a long road ahead, but based on where things stood with the health of the first batch, I feel like were in much better shape.The reasons Id choose to buy grass here again if I needed to:The prices seemed fair for sod, particularly compared to the per block price youd pay at a garden center.Delivery was fast and on-time.Customer service was excellent.With all of this said, I spent a considerable amount more with wasted water on the first delivery, chemicals to treat the first batch, and the time and effort to install, till, and reinstall it.Kind thanks to Michele and all who helped to get us the green lawn weve been longing for.

Went this morning after a long hot shift at work to an equally as hot Grass Outlet. The man that was working was named Danny. He was sweating his butt off working a fork-lift, but immediately came over to me to help me. Was my first trip there so didnt know how things worked. Danny explained everything, and helped me very kindly and professionally. Heat didnt effect his mood one bit, meanwhile I was dying at 102 degrees. Great place, great help. Will be going back for more grass tomorrow. Highly recommended.

I haven’t bought anything from The Grass Outlet, yet, but I can tell you this. For the past 2 weeks I’ve been calling and visiting landscaping and sod companies and this company, BY FAR, has had the best customer service. They understood my questions and concerns and knew how to address them or told me who to talk to get them addressed. I spoke with Megan this morning and had a million questions for her about seed, sod, etc., not once did she get frustrated or fatigued. She remained friendly and professional from the first minute to the last second of my call. They will be my go place for anything grass and lawn related.

We paid a very high price (nearly $2k) to have Buffalo delivered and installed in our small front lawn. The grass was delivered long before the workers arrived. Once the workers got there, they removed a very thin top layer of our sod. I was concerned that this left behind old Bermuda and sedge roots, but I figured they knew what they were doing. It rained lightly that afternoon, so the workers left. The grass sat out at our curb for nearly 24 hours before they came back. This made it much harder to establish because it was so dried out. These concerns were quickly dismissed.After it was installed and we were doing the work of constantly watering to establish it, I began to notice that several of the squares were actually not Buffalo at all but Bermuda, a much cheaper, highly invasive grass. I let them know about the first and second squares I found. I was dismissed, being told “Buffalo is notorious for weeds” and that we weren’t watering it enough (3 times per day by hand? And what does that have to do with Bermuda?). It’s true that Buffalo is more likely to get some weeds, but it doesn’t explain perfect rectangles of Bermuda that had never been there before. They finally told us they would come and replace those two squares. That was 20 days ago, and over a month since it was installed. It still has not been resolved.Once the grass was fully established, we began to notice more and more of the old Bermuda grass and sedge popping up all over the lawn. These were old problem areas clearly returning. Just as suspected, the workers hadn’t cut the old lawn deep enough, so the roots were left behind to grow in. We now have more sedge, Bermuda and weeds than Buffalo. It looks terrible.This was extremely expensive for us. To say we’re disappointed with the work is an understatement. At this point, we’d even be happy to establish a new lawn if they would just fix the job. But so far, they haven’t even been by to fix the patches of Bermuda they put in mistakenly themselves.

Cassi Js Home Repair & Lawn Care purchased 2 pallets of Celebration Bermuda for a client and we are extremely pleased with the service that we received from Danny when we arrived to pick up the pallets, he went above and beyond what he truly needed to do and we are truly grateful for his service. He waited an additional amount of time for us and even provided us with sod for free. Danny is a shining example of what a person with customer service skills should be. KUDOS to DANNY!!

I order 3 pallets of Bermuda from them 2 months ago. After a month (waiting for the grass to take roots) I noticed something simply was off. It turns out a handful of another type of grass, had found a new home in my pretty Bermuda carpet. When I called them to explain the situation they were very quick to get it resolved. Through all their efforts occasionally different grass seeds embed where they shouldnt, while in the growing process. Though I was ok with them cutting out the sections that didnt belong, that wasnt going to do. The had all the grass removed and brand new Bermuda installed. To say that they went above and beyond is an understatement. Should I ever need grass again, they will be the ONLY company I call. Dont waste your time with anyone else.

Kelsey told my fiance yesterday that we could pick up st. Augustine grass here the following day. We rented a truck and we get here only to be told that I dont know why she said that, we got rained out and dont have any. It hasnt even rained. So we spent money to rent a truck to pick up grass based on Kelseys word, only to find out she had no idea what was going on. When my fiance told them that we rented a truck based on Kelseys information they seemed to not care. They didnt offer any further assistance to help us find grass, or order it and have it delivered to us. Dont waste your money or time with this people, they have a poor work ethic and terrible customer service.

The zoysia grass we have gotten from The Grass Outlet has been beautiful (2 pallets in 10/2020 and 5 pallets in 4/21). Michele has been so helpful with helping me with the after installation care. I would very highly recommend this business to anyone needing to sod a yard

Excellent quality sod! This is 3 weeks in with a fresh mow. Ordered online, delivered on Saturday with what appeared to be cut just a few hours prior. The sod was extremely fresh! Only two of the grass squares (out of three pallets) didn’t take, the surrounding squares should fill in quickly. Highly recommend!

Michele worked extrememely hard to get me 9 pallets, and then an additional 2 pallets, and then another 60 pieces of Zoysia Palisades. The delivery drivers were incredibly helpful and friendly.NOTE: I measured several times, however I did not factor in waste and not using the dried out top pieces. Order more than you think.

Purchased Zeon zoysia grass from GO just over 1 mo ago and COULDNT BE MORE PLEASED! The pricing was extremely competitive ($60/pallet less than competitor) and the customer svc was outstanding- both when ordering and in follow up phone calls. We reached out when 11 pieces of our 2 pallet order appeared to be struggling. The matter was courteously & promptly addressed. The grass is of superior quality and has grown in beautifully! Very first time I purchased grass in my life. Went to Lowes and Home Depot but they had only 1 variety and was not matching with the one we had in our back yard.I talked to Grass Outlet on the phone and ask multiple questions before I order anything. From getting questions to answered, to order process and pick up was very smooth. Of course most importantly the 1 pallet grass that we purchased was great as well.

This is a top notch business!Each of the girls that answered the phone were nice and helped me with my beginner questions that they’ve probably answered 1000 times. The grass was delivered on time and was very healthy. Cuts were perfect, lots of dirt and essentially no unusable pieces. I am SO HAPPY I ordered grass from The Grass Outlet. The staff is extremely professional. I received my Zoysia Zeon grass on time and it is very high quality sod. I did my research here in Dallas, where I live, and found that many sod companies are rude, very competitive with each other, and will try to up-sell you on installation (such as special topsoil, etc.). Since this company does not deal with installation, you dont have to worry about that. Just make sure whoever you hire as your install crew does a good prep job of the soil before they lay the sod. I actually decided to do it myself - the sod installation guide that this company sends you when you place your order is extremely helpful.

I ordered 11 pallets of zeon zoysia grass. Grass had a few crabgrass on a few pieces of sod which i easily pulled off. The zoysia was a nice deep green color and it never yellowed after installing the sod. It maintained its nice lush green color. Customer service was great and it was easy and quick to order the grass. Delivery was quick and painless and the grass was unloaded inside my yard. Will buy again in the future when i am ready to redo my front lawn from st Augustine to zoysia. Grass is amazingly soft and plush.

Experienced issues with my initial delivery and expected to have a long fight just to get what I paid for, but to my surprise The Grass Outlet immediately went above and beyond to ensure the issue was corrected. I paid over $5,000 for crabgass filled sod. There is more crabgass than zoysia. Farms did not use a pre-emergent weed control. Now I am stuck with a crabgrass yard that needs to be mowed 3 times a week until I can do a pre-emergent next spring. It literally seems to have been seeded with crabgrass. I have never seen so much in one place in my life.

Installed sod in two stages, 3 pallets of palisades zoysia each. The first stage was not great quality and took about a month to green up, but more importantly has about a dozen pieces that are filled with Bermuda, which is extremely invasive and hard to kill in other grasses. Pretty big bummer seeing as how it cost $650+delivery. Second stage was much healthier, but filled with nutsedge, not to mention there were sections mid-pallet that were clearly taken from old pallets or a dead section of the farm. I wish the product was a bit higher quality for the price.

Ordered 4 pallets of their St. Augustine about a month ago online... super easy ordering process. Delivery guy was awesome as well and actually delivered all 4 pallets as close to our back gate as he could. The sod was in great condition and very green... was able to get all of the sod laid with only 2 people that same day. The grass took very well and still looks amazing a month later!

I ordered my Palisaides Zoysia grass 5 weeks ago. Delivery was on time and the turf was in very good. Recently, I noticed some brown spotting, so I notified TGO and sent them some photos. Within a few hours of submitting my photos, Braxton gave me a call and helped me try to diagnose just what the problem might be causing the spots. I was given a great ideas and tools to deploy to remedy the situation. Braxton even stated for me to personally call him back if none of the remedies cure the issue in due time. I cant recommend them more highly for their attention to personal care and details for their customers.

Im a Builder & I needed some grass to finish my project & the place I got my original order did not have more until the following week & it was Thurs afternoon so to late to order for Friday i called around & found The Grass Outlet & they were glad to help but once again too late for Friday order so they got me a special delivery on Sat morning so I could complete my project over weekend & start new project on Monday. Great job for coming through!

Purchasing and delivery are easy and smooth. If a problem arises you are dismissed quickly and through email. They have instructions on their site for care, but will tell you another. When calling about your issues you will be asked one or two vague questions. They will fixate on you equally vague responses to their vauge questions instead trying to be investigative and asking probing questions to get more detailed answers. All communication emails will be in the late afternoon or early evening keeping you from being able to effectively finish a conversation within the same day. You get what you pay for applies greatly to them and their customer service.

After looking at a few different places at prices I was torn between the ease of buffalo grass which is native, but gets weed problems, and Palisades Zoysia. I am glad I went with the Zoysia. Got delayed a few days due to rain for delivery, and even then the sod was a bit damp and the bottom crushed by the weight of the top, but the sod looks amazing, and even the sacrificial extra squares they added to the top seem to be doing OK after 5 days with minor browning on the edges, but it should come back and be filled in soon.Overall it is a lot of hard work to DIY a sod lawn, but I am liking the quality of the sod I received. the only infestation I see is of wolf spiders.PS I looked and seeing Lowes and other big box stores prices are nearly criminal, but I guess if you need a few squares of St Augustine that is baked on a pallet in the parking lot for a day or 2 then they got you for $3 a sq ft. or over $400 for a pallet

Ive ordered on numerous occasions and have never seen a weed or unwanted pest. The grass always looks nice and the drivers are super friendly. Some places charge to place grass in specific areas but these guys have never even asked and when I want to tip the driver they turn me down. By far the best place to get grass.

The delivery driver arrived bright and early with a big smile and helpful attitude.Grass was planted and is growing beautifully. Two pallets of celebration bermuda and every square is healthy. Our back yard has gone from, ugh to wow!

Palisades zoysia was delivered on time. Grass quality was fantastic! Have noticed no weeds so far, and the majority of the grass is thriving. There are a few sheets (out of 18 pallets)that were a bit dried out, but one week after laying and they are coming back. Staff was friendly and easy to work with. Delivery person was also very friendly and helpful, setting the pallets were we would have the best access.

Do not use the estimation calculator on the Grass Outlet website. I ordered seven pallets, the amount indicated by the calculation, and after installation I had three full pallets left over. They do not take returns so I was stuck. My measurements were correct and checked by two other people to ensure I ordered enough grass. I hired a reputable lawn and garden service to install the grass. He said the quality was poor and that the grass looked like it had been cut and sitting for a while.

I recently purchased 3 pallets of Palmetto from The Grass Outlet and was really impressed. The ability to order online made it really easy and the follow-up communication was great (multiple emails and phone call). The day of delivery they actually had an unexpected issue that slightly delayed delivery. It still showed up that day despite bad weather and as an added bonus they provided a very generous amount for the trouble. Totally unexpected but so appreciated! And the grass quality is amazing...nothing like what youd get at Home Depot. This stuff was just cut the night before. Lawn looks GREAT. They made a customer for life. If youre looking to re-sod, this is the place to use.

Customer service was terrible. This was my first time buying sod in bulk so I just used Googled on my phone for a list of numbers to buy sod. I was misinformed about preorders. No info was given to me over the phone about preordering sod in advance. I called about pricing and delivery but was never told I had to order in advance. They didnt refer me to their website either. So the next few days after I get a crew together for my project and we drove over there for nothing. Then I was told to buy in advance. They didnt bother to offer to sell me at least one pallet cause thats all I needed. So I went to another sod place on 290 and they had sod available for pick up.

Ordered a pallet of Zoysia grass for the front yard. They were great at keeping me updated on my delivery and they were prompt on the day of delivery. The quality of the grass was great and the sod has taken well already.

There were some scheduling challenges in the beginning but TGO Installations (Mikel) really went above and beyond to work me in. They bent over backwards to ensure the job was done as quickly as it could be with all of the rain.The crew showed up, talked with me to confirm the plan, and got right to work. They are quick, professional, and did a good job! I would use The Grass Outlet and TGO again.

I had a similar experience as Ms. Yuen in that I wasnt able to get my Bermuda laid until the second day and it got really yellow from the heat...But I followed the advice to water it well and though it took a couple of weeks, it fully recovered and is beautiful! Horrible experience, STAY AWAY!!!! Spent >$600 on 3 pallets of highest quality grass (Zoyzia Cavalier), installed it in February and have been watering it properly only to see it poorly develop. Came in very long, with a lot of weeds and dormant (which normal). However after 4 months only 75% of it has been developing properly. After sending pictures to The Grass Outlet they say my grass is browning due to fungus that must have been in the topsoil on which the sod was laid....

Best prices in town, on time delivery as promised and high quality product. Highly recommend it and will be a ordering more.

Ordering and delivery were great. But major problems with the product I received. My zoysia palisades sod was filled with nutsedge, a very difficult weed to deal with. The Grass Outlet suggested it may have arrived from birds or squirrels, but the weed is on a sod piece by sod piece basis. There was no offer to correct this issue. There was a herbicide suggestion but no offer to pay for it or refund me for my troubles (Ive been pulling weeds for days). I guess its just the luck of the draw sometimes. The herbicide ended up being effective so Im upping my stars to 3.. just wished they would provide the herbicide or a stipend to purchase it. My grass looks nice.

The grass outlet has continually delivered high-quality grass on time, every time. They have great prices and a very great product. I only use them when I install grass for all my landscape customers.

Customer service was outstanding. I ordered my grass and because of severe flooding the order was delayed. But thats ok, because I was notified and it was delivered the following day, healthy and green! Its early June now, and I am not at all concerned about this grass taking to the lawn.I used to be a Grass4Sale customer, but too many BAD experiences had me to this company. You will not regret working with them. Its worth it and your lawn will be the envy of your neighborhood.

They never delivered my grass on the date it was a Saturday never called never replied to my text or gave a warning that they would not ship or that there was a delay but they were good at takeing the money

We are based in Dallas -Fort Worth metroplex. Ordering grass online was very easy. I am glad that we allowed ourselves some time to get our lot ready. A tip for those who are planning to do the work themselves: by the time the grass is delivered, your lot should be ready. It may take more time than you think to get your lot ready. We have a small lot (5,500 square feet including the house) and it took two of us a week of hard labor to finally complete the project. I am sure that our way was not the most efficient but we managed to do it! We ordered 4 pallets and this amount was more than enough for our project. In fact, I overestimated the amount we needed and thats why it look us longer to complete the project as we had to clear an additional area to use the remaining sod. If sounds like our order was small compared to other orders. I received an email from Grass Outlet the day before the scheduled delivery date to inform me that their standard delivery window is from 7am till 2pm. I called them on the morning of the delivery date and was given an estimate: 11:00-11:30am. They told me that the driver was going to call me closer to my delivery time. The driver called at 2:00pm informing me that he was stuck in traffic and that he was going to be late. He arrived at 2:30pm and quickly unloaded pallets on our driveway. It was not a problem for me that the delivery was a bit delayed as we kept prepping our lot and we did not hire any helpers so we were not losing any money. As for the quality of sod, I am very happy with it! Out of 4 pallets, we had two squares with crab grass, two squares with brown spots, and maybe 5 or 6 squares that were torn but we still could use them in places where we had to cut sod. We ordered Zoysia Cavalier as I wanted a fine bladed grass and I am not disappointed! The grass is very dense. I really hope it will choke weeds. I wish I knew how to insert pictures as my lawn looks great! Several neighbors stopped by to complement us on our new lawn. I would definitely order again from Grass Outlet. I hope that I will never have to reinstall the lawn again though. Well see how it goes. Good luck to everyone who is planning to do this as a DIY project.Update 4/11/2018: One pallet was a bit drier than the rest and some squares dried up. We keep watering the lawn regularly and I see that most of the dry squares are very slowing coming back. It is very slow with Zoysia to establish. Some areas still look like lawn tile. Some areas started blending. I still love my new lawn and I am patient.

Measured my yard and figured I needed around 5.5 pallets of grass. Sent an email to The Grass Outlets email address asking what the delivery charge would be to my house. got a prompt response with a quote. Since I could only order full pallets, I went to their web site and ordered 6 pallets of Raleigh St. Augustine to be delivered 5 days from the time I placed my order. Ordering online was a breeze. At around 9:30am on the delivery day, I get a call from the driver saying hes right around the corner. I live in a community with an access gate, so I had to let him in. The driver was nice and took about 15 mins to unload the 6 pallets. Grass looked like it was just picked - really green. It took a little over 2 days to install it by myself, and I used all but about 1/3rd of the 6th pallet. ALL the grass was nice and green. There were a few pieces that were turning yellow, but those were mainly toward the end (i.e., after sitting out for 2 days in the 100+ degree heat). Nothing but good feedback for The Grass Outlet. Good, prompt, friendly, professional service. Easy ordering. Prompt delivery. And most of all, really great looking grass! Ill definitely order from them again and let anyone I know to do the same.
