Someone broke the window at my mothers house early Saturday morning and I called several businesses asking them to please help me because we had to get her home secure. One place wanted to charge me $500, but when I called Brian at B&B Plate Glass not only did he not charge me $500, but him and his son showed up and placed temporary glass in place of the broken glass until what they ordered for me comes in. For about half of the $500 that the other company was going to charge me I got the window temporarily fixed, the new glass ordered, and they showed up in less than an hour before another job they had to do. Shattered a glass door at my residence called about four different locations and I was given the run around.Ace glass and other glass companies around my area refused to provide me service. Id give B&B 6 stars, if I could! My mower sent a rock into my sliding glass door. I contacted two other glass companies, and was told it would take 3-4 weeks to send someone out for an estimate, and 6-7 weeks for the repair. Brian came over in a couple of hours and fixed it in 7 days! His estimate was accurate and fair, and he was professional and, well, just a damn nice guy!

I called on a Friday night expecting to get a voice mail. To my surprise, the owner answered! I scheduled service for the next day, which didn’t work out due to unforeseeable circumstances. After some random person threw a rock through a window on a building I manage - I immediately jumped on google to find someone to come and board up the window and order new glass for replacement. I made several phone calls before talking with Brian at B & B Plate Glass - all of whom advertised they did emergency 24 hour service. Brian was the only one who actually held true to his advertising. They came out within the hour, measured and boarded up my broken window and my building was secure again. I shopped around a lot of emergency glass repair places that claimed they were 24 hours. The majority did not get back with me, and the ones that did gave me crazy time frames that didnt even make sense. B&B was VERY resposive and easy to communicate with. They heard my situation and worked with me for a solution. Not to mention, they came and replaced a broken mirror knowing there was an incoming storm. They are quick and professional (took one look at the problem, gave me a price, and had a new window installed in half an hour!). I called Brian and explained to him my situation with my broken window, he quickly and respectfully told me his estimate. I told him that would be fine and when I would need it fixed by (which wasnt for a few days). The next day Brian and I had a few phone calls and by the afternoon he was to my house and fixing my window. He did an excellent job, he did it very quickly, and I very much appreciated how nice he was. He even came in under what his original estimate was. Overall excellent service, I will definitely be keeping his card in case of future glass needs. I would very much recommend him over the other larger companies. I used them to replace some fogged windows in my house 2 years ago and the cost and total experience was great.I just used them to replace a broken window in a rental today and once again just as before, they were extremely quick and responsive.I will only use them for any window replacement job.

Brian came out the day after I called and gave me an estimate. The insulated glass arrived within just a few days. The process to remove four pieces and install two pieces was about an hour and half. He invoiced for less than the estimate. Throughout the process I received several text message updates. Great communication and service!

Waste of time. Dont bother.Just wanted a broken window fixed.Spoke with Mary in the morning and she said Brian would show up before 5pm that day to take measurements, 5pm comes - NO SHOW. Talked to Brian after 5pm and he said Mary never advised him and he promised to show up by noon the next day, once again - NO SHOW. In these days where theres not a lot of human interaction, it was a great thing for my daughter to discover she had a classmate behind us when we took down our old wooden privacy fence. They began to toss disc golf discs back and forth, and wouldnt you know it, a putter went RIGHT through her window.We needed to get that fixed, and tried calling various outfits in Round Rock- none of which answered the phone, or returned the voicemail messages we left. Brians work was by far the fastest window repair job Ive ever seen. I called late the previous night and he showed up in the morning had the whole project completed in a matter of minutes. Quality work, very professional.

I put the post of our bed through the window while moving into our new home at 11:00 pm. I called this company and they answered immediately. They were there the next day, earlier than expected, and installed a new piece of glass in about 10 minutes, and the cost was so reasonable, about $120. I’ve never been so impressed! We will use them anytime we need glass repair.

The good: This business responds to quote requests lightning fast. I was able to easily schedule a residential window repair for next day service. I was told Id get a call one hour before and set the appointment for 10am.The bad: No one called me an hour before, which is no big deal, but then no one showed up for the service appointment at 10am! I did get a call at 11:32am. The caller didnt say who he was or what company he was with. He literally just blurted out, You still need the window repair? Very unprofessional. If you are looking for reliable service, I recommend you look elsewhere.

Broke a home window on my back porch and someone came out to fix it within 2 hours of me calling. The repair took less than 30 minutes and looks great. (Other glass repair companies gave me a 5 day time line) I’m not planning on breaking any more windows, but if I do, I’m calling these guys again.

Needed the glass inserts of my door replaced. A good number of companies I reached out to said they could not do the job - that they would have to just replace the door with one of their brand doors. Not only did Brian do what was needed, he made sure he had the correct glass (wasnt in stock in Hutto, so he went to South Austin to get it -- I live in Elgin). He beat the other companies quotes by nearly $100; I even had to insist that he add in a gas charge for all of his driving (he wasnt going to charge for gas). Once on-site he finished in a very timely manner, and the door looks better than it did before. Thank you!I hope I dont ever need glass work done again, but if I do Brian has my business.

In the era of COVID-19, and in the face of massive rioting, this company made time to come out: in force, to help me with my residential remodel project. I needed to convert a front room into study space/office, I called four glass companies and out of all of them- these guys were the most responsive, polite, and professional. The final work was amazing. They installed a full wall of glass for less than what it would’ve cost me to build a solid wall.I cannot recommend them enough.

Yea call this guy if you want to sit and wait for someone to not show or communicate. He sounded knowledgeable over the phone but clearly does not care about his business. Very friendly and local company. Broke a old single pane glass window and needed the job done quick. Needless to say, I drove the window over to him while he was doing another job, which was 5 minutes always and he installed glass in 3 minutes perfectly.Like I said, this is a small local company, who makes a living installing glass that has been broken or if you need re-glazing. I am a business owner myself. They were very helpful and considerate while on the phone, giving me options to help me get the price down. Since he was 3 minutes away I drove over to help the both of us and was very pleased with response time. This isn’t a large scale conglomerate company, there is only 1 guy (the owner) doing it all and he is a hardworking class kind of guy. He tells you how it is and if you choice to like it or not, at the end of the day he’s running a business and has costumers like me that will use him. He doesn’t dress up or try to impress you with a large vocabulary, he’s strait forward and gets to work as soon as you say go. Love to see old working class types of people out there still!I would recommend this guy to anyone who needs broken glass replaced quickly and installed right. I’m not window installer or work with glass but at the end of the day if it’s sealed and looks clean, then he did the job right.

I recently had a new back porch built on my house.I called around quite a bit but B&B was definitely more reasonably priced than anybody else. Brien told me it had to be order because it was tempered glass and that it would take 3 to 4 business day but it came sooner than expected. It was a pretty big window but they were in and out in 20 minutes or so and it looks fantastic! Highly professional and efficient service. Id highly recommend B&B.

After several years of homeownership, I realized that there were several windows in the house that began failing. By that, I mean the interior seals began to leak, allowing moisture to get in between the glass panes and fog up. I started calling around to see about replacing them. Every business I called said that they could not give me a quote over the phone. They all told me that I would need to meet with one of their Field Representatives (a nice word for Sales Rep) so that a more accurate evaluation of my needs could be assessed. With no other options, I agreed to meet with them.After meeting with about three or four Sales Reps, I began to grow frustrated. All I wanted was the window glass replaced, and they wanted to sell me new windows. Of course, there was always a three-window minimum. To do my whole house was going to more than 15K. Again, all I wanted was to have the glass replaced, and all they wanted to do is sell me a house of replacement windows. Before I began scouring the internet and watching videos on how to replace the glass myself, I decided to call one last glass company, so I called B&B Plate Glass.I dialed the number, and the phone was answered within three or four rings [Hmmmm, I thought]. I introduced myself and explained what I was needing. The person on the other end of the phone turned out to be the business owner, Brien. Once I briefly explained my situation, I didnt get any high-pressure sales push or a request to send a sales rep to my home. Instead, Brien simply gave me a per window quote over the phone. He even discouraged me from replacing the full window, including the frame, if I dont need to. We talked for a few minutes, and he agreed to come to verify the glass measurements himself. We made an appointment, and, much to my surprise, he showed up on time with no preconceived notion of making a sale.Brien took the time to check all the window frames before verifying that all I need to do is replace the glass. The frames were fine. Brien gave me a quote over the phone never tried to Upsell me. I got exactly what I asked for when I asked for it. As he was doing the job, we chatted, and he explained what he was doing and why. Brien answered all my questions without hesitation and never tried to sell me something I didnt need. After the install, he cleaned his workspace as well as the windows themselves. Upon sending the invoice, with all the labor and taxes added, Brien came in within $100 of his phone quote! There is something thats not usually seen in the business world these days.So, if anyone is searching for a company to replace the glass without unnecessarily replacing the whole window, B&B Plate Glass is your company. Brien told me about all of the additional services he offers, such as frameless shower and door installs. If I ever need to replace any glass again, B&B Plate Glass will be my first call. I cant recommend them enough. I had a dual pane window that had fogged on the inside and Brian took care of it quickly and professionally! He also made sure that the window met the building code which meant that it had to be tempered because it was within 1 foot of a glass door. He did a great job on making sure the new window was installed properly and that it was clean and clear!
