These guys are terrible! We hired them to fix a portion of our gutters and paid them. They were unorganized and late. They repaired the gutters, which had multiple new problems thereafter requiring them to come back. Each time I asked them to address the failures, they were comically unresponsive. It literally took months to years for them to comeback. They fixed one of the issues w/ the downspout, but the run off issues we still have to this day.I eventually gave up on them. It was incredibly frustrating to deal with a company w/ such terrible reliability and quality of work. Also I am extremely disappointed in their dishonesty. They sold me these new gutters saying that it would fix the runoff issues we were having, which it didnt.If I could give negative stars I would and if it was worth the time/money Id seek legal action to retrieve the funds for shoddy work I would.

In the process of getting our house ready to list, we approached Kidd Roofing to give us a quote for a roof replacement. They worked with us on the best way to get our roof replaced including assisting us immensely with us being able to receive a new roof because of previous hail damage. Unfortunately the insurance adjuster didnt work with us, but Kidd Roofing did all that they could to get us the most value for our money. I bought an old house a couple years ago and the inspection went great; however it wasnt long before I notice significant ponding on my flat roof. I called multiple roofing companies and heard all types of quick fixes to complete rebuilds. I was a little lost and wasnt confident in the direction I should go. I called a friend in the home building industry and he told me to contact Kidd Roofing. They came right over and shot me straight. They answered my questions honestly, didnt give me any well maybe we can do this but we wont know until we take the old roof off. Which came with a wide range of costs. Kidd was the company that I was most confident in during the bidding process. When it came time for the complete rebuild of my roof, it went exactly as they said it would and finished within the estimated cost and time. Great company, highly recommend.

He quickly responded to our initial inquiries, and went out of his way to answer questions, get us shingle samples, and even sourced the exact color we wanted from out of state. During and after the job, Max was helpful in organizing and understanding our insurance claim. In addition to a new roof, our house needed gutters & downspouts removed and reinstalled, and new fascia and new siding -- Max managed the all of the subcontractors and scheduling. Because I have solar collectors that needed to be removed before the roof was replaced, I asked Matt to coordinate with the solar people to schedule the replacement. He made all the calls and had his crew here the very next day after the solar collectors had been removed. His crew worked over 12 hours, hardly stopping, trying to finish in one day. They were even cleaning after dark. The very next day he had the gutter crew in early to complete the gutters and finalize the cleanup. Both crews were dedicated and worked very fast to get the job done before any rain. The coordination between crews and other companies was the tops. I can’t say enough about the management and the individuals. This is my second experience with them and both times they were superb.

Its a bit nerve-wrecking to think about how the entire top of your house will be removed, but the Kidd team kept us in good hands. Both men were professional, courteous, and attentive to any and all of my concerns. I think this is key to being a reputable contractor--listening to your customer, and not blowing them off. I would like to point out that if you are not familiar with roof installation, and in my case it was inspected by Kidd after a hail storm, you should consider that the process might be more complicated than you thought. There are a number of elements that you should want in the contract so that you are not tasked with finding various subcontractors to finish the job. For example, who is going to do the gutters and spouts and do you want those areas upgraded to larger dimensions? Are the workers insured and bonded? What about repainting the fascia to match the new drip edge? Is there any rot to the woodwork? Will the roofer repair/replace those rotted areas? Does your roof need more vents than what was originally built, a common problem in Sun City where often there are not enough. Was there window frame and window screen damage? What Kidd brings to the job is that it is a turnkey operation. Kidd has in house carpenters, painters, gutter team and of course the roof team. You do not have to worry about an in and out crew that leaves you with a poor gutter job--like poorly measured gutters,, or unpainted fascia, or other issues. Plus Kidd is local to Georgetown. The insurance payout might not pay for every single thing, like gutter upgrade,, but Kidd will work with you and you can make the final call. Hope this helps.

Chad was great to work with! Had a leak and damaged shingles from a thunderstorm. Chad found the leak by the chimney, sealed it and replaced damaged shingles. Insurance wouldn’t approve a new roof but Chad did an outstanding job and haven’t had an issue since!

I wish we could say they have done a good job but of all the subs we have dealt with in building our house they have been the worst. The workmanship was certainly below average. However, the major issues began when trying to get them out to fix warranty items. They do not respond in a timely manner taking weeks to respond. They then dont show to their own appointments. The people we communicate with her condescending and not interested in resolving issues. If you have a choice I would certainly look elsewhere.

We love our new roof. It has already survived 60 mph winds and heavy rains without leaks or issues. Kidd roofing, called every morning to tell us their arrival time and who would come out and what would be done. They did exactly what they said they would do and cleaned up at the end of every day. Absolutely terrible experience - dont be fooled by the reviews. The lack of professionalism from the top down was disappointing. They took over a month to schedule the new roof after I confirmed. They installed my new roof in a thunderstorm. They damaged my siding in multiple areas and only made it worse when they attempted to fix the damage - getting them to come back out took over a month and the office/manager never returned my calls (to this day no one from the office has contacted me to discuss the issues despite multiple requests with reassurance I would be called back). Kidd was referred by my insurance company, but no longer after Kidd did not respond to their inquiries for a detailed invoice which means I waited over a month to be reimbursed. Shame on Kidd Roofing for such poor customer service. I wanted the best, so I paid the premium for a top roofing company, waited patiently (still for a return call) and was really let down by the experience. I fear the lack of communication if a warranty issue arises - hope the gold warranty was worth the added expense. With so many other companies in Austin, skip Kidd.
