We hired CG&S to remodel our kitchen and add on an adjacent dining area. This company was such a pleasure to work with. The whole process was great. The architecture/design team creates amazing 3D drawings, so you can see what your space will look like. They help you with colors, popping them into the drawings so you can see them in your space. The construction crews are super nice and respectful, and always clean up after each day. We stayed in our house while the project was going on, so this made a huge difference. CG&S is also very straightforward with their pricing. The number they give you in the beginning is very close to what you will actually pay. Any additional costs will be in the form of a written change order that you approve. Our kitchen and dining area, complete with a super cool built-in storage window day bed look amazing! I highly recommend CG&S! They are a great family owned business and Im so happy we found them!!

We have used CG&S several times over the last 17 years and Im sure we will use them in the future. They are a well run, family oriented business. They treat their employees well and their customers likewise. We have used their design services and their remodeling services. I’m here today giving this review today, not because I am a customer, but I am a victim of road rage from one of your drivers! I’m driving I-35 and he is driving like a maniac. Driving in front of me. Swerving in and out of lanes. He was driving so fast and reckless that his construction debris from his trailer was all flying out and hitting my vehicle. I begin to honk my horn so he can see all his junk falling out and that he needs to slow down. Completely ignored me and continued to drive recklessly. You should definitely hire drivers that have a valid license and knows how to drive with a trailer full of construction debris. Today is August 10 at 3:25pm. His license plate is 588-792K. It definitely makes your business look very UNPROFESSIONAL!

We love CG&S! They made our remodel as easy as a remodel can be. If a problem arose, I could text our project manager, and he immediately took care of it. Both the cost estimate and the time estimate were accurate. The project was even complete a few days earlier than projected! We have been 100 percent satisfied with the end result. When we decided to do a kitchen/garage remodel, my first (and only!) choice was CG&S Design Build. They did a project for us that took about 2 months, converting our screened porch into a room, which involved installing lots of windows, adding a split AC system, moving doors, re-sheet rocking, painting, and redoing the exterior siding on the house. They were honest, gave an accurate and fair quote, made themselves available to discuss the project when we had questions, and completed the job beautifully, with minimal inconvenience to us. They cleaned up the dust and debris every single day, and generally treated our home with respect. They hold themselves to high standards and do not cut corners. CG&S does beautiful work. We had our entire downstairs remodeled four years ago, including the addition of a den. Our neighbors always stop to tell us how great the house looks.Even more impressive, however, is the way the company responds any time we have a question or concern. We wanted to touch up the paint but forgot our colors. We asked Dolores and she sent us a list of all the colors we picked for the house four years ago. Recently we had an issue with a leak in our roof, and Billy (the head of the company) came out personally to inspect the problem. We are having the roof fixed free of charge, even though the warranty has expired. Thats a sign of a company that stands by its excellent work and cares about its customers. Yes, they are pricey, but nothing beats peace of mind and confidence.

Yes, the price may be a bit more but the sweetness of a low price is long forgotten while the bitterness of low quality is long remembered. If you want a quality remodel, let CG&S do it. We have used C,G, & S for 3 remodel and repair projects at 2 different houses. Over the course of 20 years, we have never had a problem with them. They honestly describe the work they will do, provide an accurate price estimate, and do excellent work without the homeowner having to look over their shoulder everyday. Despite encountering all the surprises one finds when remodeling an older house, C,G, & S handles the problems and communicates effectively the options. We always had more than one option for design or repair that encompassed a range or prices. Finally, THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. The honor warranties and will even make good on anything they think might have been their fault YEARS later. We have used other, cheaper contractors twice and ended up having shoddy work that had to be repaired by someone else. We learned the hard way, start with C,G, & S and we wont have to pay twice to have crappy work repaired. This family business has the highest integrity in the design-build field in Austin.

CG&S has done three projects for us. They completely redid our kitchen and added an outdoor space, redid our master bathroom and closet, and gave us a brand new updated mailbox. They take care of everything and while CG&S is not cheap, they do quality work time and time again.

We were very happy with the work CG&S did for us. We had a total kitchen remodel done as well as several other structural changes. Throughout the process CG&S was available to answer our questions and listen to our feedback, meeting regularly with us to provide updates. They are extremely conscientious about attending to every detail of the project. (I know this is not the case with every designer/builder.) Yes, we paid more for their services, but we couldnt be happier with the results. They are a pleasure to work with and will stay until the job is done right. I recommend them highly.

While CG&S is a bit costly with their quotes up front, their quality and service match that cost. In the past we worked with other contractors who promised lower prices but then ended up costing much more in the long run as their quality was terrible. With CG&S you can expect exceptional work that is well worth the investment.

This company gave me an outrageous $5000 quote over the phone to remove a non-load bearing wall because they didnt want to drive 10 minutes outside of Austin. This is terrible business practice and strongly discourage anyone from even giving them a chance. If a company thinks they are too good for the little jobs then they shouldnt advertise that no job is too small.
