One of the three wurst haircuts I’ve ever had a 10 dollar barber could have cut my hair. I showed pictures of what I wanted. I explained it was for an interview. I HAD great hair. Now it will take at least three months to fix. When the stylist says well I thought it was a #4 guard this is her admitting she was wrong. I was offered nothing in regard to making the situation right. AND they aren’t even cheaper anymore than local competitors. I feel stupid in my choice I’ll have to have someone else fix it which there is hardly any hair left to fix. Complete nightmare. Plus I got water in my ear during my shampoo. Unacceptable and I recommend NOT going there. It says I can add photos and I’d love to but I’m to embarrassed by my haircut to do so.

Selena is amazing! My two teenage daughters got their hair cut and styled. They asked for a Wolf cut and Selena really showed her skills! They are so happy and want to go back for their next salon experience. Selena is a Rickstar stylist!

Great cut and great prices.Update: Second time I went here the hairdresser that gave me my cut is now gone.. my hair was butchered today. I wish I remembered the name of the hairdresser but my hair looks really stupid right now. Im sure they arent all bad but wow!!!!!

I had a great experience at the Spot Salon. The salon was clean and modern but not intimidating like some of the salons around Austin. My stylist was friendly and experienced. She listened to me when I explained what I wanted and executed both the color and cut beautifully and efficiently. She was a great conversationalist and the time flew by. I was able to get in the same day I called for an appointment which was really convenient and the prices were really affordable. I would recommend The Spot to anyone, male or female. They even do waxing! I am just bummed I didnt find this place 4 years ago when first I moved here.

This place is great! Its like an anti-salon salon, just a chilled, relaxed environment. Shoni (the owner) is a master of color. She gives a great haircut, too. The prices are the most reasonable you will find in the area. If you are looking for a place without all the typical salon BS and just a darn great cut and color you need to go to The Spot Salon!

Catie gave my daughter a great new style. She left feeling happy and confident with her new do. Extremely reasonable prices and great results.

Shonie is great!! She is willing to sit with you and figure out exactly what you want and doesn’t give up until it’s perfect! I’ve received several compliments since leaving her salon! The salon is family friendly and very clean. The prices are also extremely reasonable. Highly recommend!!

I called The Spot at 3:45 in the afternoon inquiring if they had any availability for a walk in. The lady who answered informed me that they didn’t at that time, but would in 20-30 minutes. I told her I had a couple of errands to run an could do an appointment at 4:30 if that worked. She said it would.All good so far.I get there at 4:25 and sign in. She wraps up with the person in the chair and then comes over and tells me it will be another 20-30 minutes while taking another customer. It’s starting to push my time but I need a hair cut. I agree and settle in. 30 minutes later, she finishes up with that customer, and then starts working on someone else. I go up to her and ask if someone will be able to see me soon, and she tells me it will be another 20 min.Absolutely ridiculous customer service. Never again.Edit: Owner contacted me, apologized, and offered me a complimentary cut and to discuss what happened so they could prevent it from happening again. I wasn’t able to take the call or return it yet but that’s enough for me to bump the review from a 1 star to a 3 star.

Take 5 always does a great job on my kids hair. Its reliable and convenient. More recently, I started getting blow outs from Leah at Take 5. She is incredible! She also does a deep conditioning treatment for me and has taken my hair from damaged/dry/dull to very healthy. I cannot say enough great things about Leah! I normally go to a swanky downtown salon (translate: high price) for all of my hair related services. Its nice to save a little money by getting a few services from Leah to maintain my mane.

When it comes to stylists, many of them dont know how to handle my particular needs, however the staff of The Spot has always tuned well into what I need to feel good about myself. They always have amazing attitudes, great customer service and perhaps some of the best skills of any salon in town I have ever been to. I couldnt be happier and will go nowhere else.

Decided to try The Spot Salon for the first time yesterday for a haircut ... what a great Spot ... got the best haircut I have had in years, and for a very fair price. Catie McAllister cut my hair, and I would recommend her and this Spot highly!

I walked into this place for a hair cut. They said that it would be 30 min wait time and I was fine with it as I was a walk in. 40 minutes passed by and people who walked in after me were being called upon and no one even had the courtesy to come up to me and say that they were busy and will get to me in few minutes. No one even cared when I walked out, being tiered of waiting! As if I wasn’t there at all. Never going back there again! Even great clips would treat me better (no offense) than people at this Solon who kept complaining about how busy they were.

I always had great haircuts here. Never any wait. Naomi did a fantastic job on my frizzy, deceptive hair. She had some ideas about why my hair has been breaking, and I had a great time chatting with her. Tried two other salons before settling here.

Shoni does an awesome job on my highlights! She is really good at blending and making the color look natural. Im so glad she opened up the Spot Salon near my house. My teenage son and daughter also go to her. I trust her and I know she will provide consistent high quality service at every visit!

I received a wonderful hair cut from Britney. She was able to take the rather sparse description of what I was looking for in a hair cut and did an amazing job. I received tons of complements at work and at home. I will definitely be going back there.

The person who cut my hair cut it too short and doesnt look like the picture I showed her at all, very unpleading and unfriendly service, on top of that it was way to expensive.

Pathetic experience. Dont go here.The sign outside says walk-ins welcome. When I entered, the stylist wouldnt even look at me or acknowledge.Called up the next morning for an appointment. I reach there that evening at the agreed time to find that the stylist is busy attending someone else and she confirmed that it would not be possible for her to attend to me that day.The same happened the next day too.These guys should get their act together.

I decided to get bangs. I havent had them since 1998. Shoni was awesome! She gave me exactly what I asked for. She is conservative and extremely knowledgeable. 😊

The Spot Salon is the best hair salon in ATX! I have some pretty hectic hair, similar to an old English Sheepdog and Shoni does a phenomenal job making me look like a human again!I know it’s tedious, but she is a rockstar at doing all of my blond foils (I get a full head) and she does a bang up cut and style too. My hair is just past my shoulders so my appointments always take a while, but Shoni makes it very enjoyable with great conversations and a friendly personality.So happy that I get tonnes of compliments on my hair these days... not the usual “Did you just wake up?” OR hiding my hair under a baseball cap.Make an appointment and go see Shoni, you won’t regret it!

Terrible cut. Was suppose to trim some split ends, and cut off 5!!!!!!!! Ill never step foot in there again. Im still furious. Only 3 years to grow back what she hacked off in 10mins.

Went in to have a hair cut fix. Ive always wanted an ombré and asked about it. Shoni did my ombré. Ive been told upwards of 3 sessions at $250 a pop for my hair to be able to attain the color I wanted. I had black hair and was asking for pink. Shoni charged me very little for an ombré and took her time, when my hair wouldnt take the pink she put in she had me come back, no charge to put another more intense pink on my hair. I had it done like 6 weeks ago. My color still looks amazing.

Worse job ever. They ask how i want my hair. Show them a picture. Instead gives me a buzzcut. My wife tells them thats not what the picture looks like. All they say is sorry haircut is free. Now i need to buy a baseball hat and wait a month to get my hair back. What the f@$k. How do i walk into barbershop looking like a hipster and come out looking like a joined the military.
