I was considering moving to Austin so I took a trip to visit and look at apartments. Camden Rainey Street was one of the first places I wanted to check out so I signed up for a prospect tour. The staff in the office were as friendly as they were helpful and they welcomed me to their property as if I was already a resident. While the building and amenities at Camden are spectacular, the staff at this location were most impressive. All of my questions were answered during the tour and I felt a sense of belonging by the time it was over. While I didnt end up moving to Austin or renting a unit here, I felt compelled to leave a well-deserved 5 star review based off of my prospect tour. If I were to pack up and move to Texas today, Camden Rainey street would be my first choice.

My wife and in were visiting Austin for the weekend and went out to Rainey Street. When it came time to leave, my car wouldn’t start, and we were completely stranded. I went bar to bar asking for a jump, but unable to find anyone to help. Getting desperate and came across the Camden. I knocked at the door and a nice gentleman by the name of Adam answered. I asked if he knew anyone who could give me a jump and to my surprise, he was out on Rainey Street within 2 minutes helping me and my wife. He was extremely friendly and professional. The community he works at is gorgeous and the location is prime. We’re not currently looking for an apartment, but if we were, we would move to the Camden. When people go out of their way to help, knowing that in no way it’s going to benefit them, it’s the type of relationship I want to be apart of. Thank you Adam for helping us out and saving the day. We’re now back home, but I wanted to share this extremely kind gesture with everyone and if you’re looking for an apartment, check out the Camden on Rainey Street.

I dont even know where to start! The people at this building are awesome! The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are welcome here. They do a great job of answering questions and ensuring you feel at home. Susan has always been so helpful. Lots of young professional people in the building if your looking to network and make new friends. The swimming pool and community space are top of the line and a great spot to hang out with your friends. Location is the best in the city with so many great spots right outside the front door. Ive been living here for a few years now and I absolutely love it!

Camden Rainey Street is a wonderful place to call home! This community has set the standard of living excellence as their main priority, hoping to exceed residents’ expectations in every way! Having lived at 3 Camden locations; Camden Farmer’s Market – Dallas, Camden Belleview Station – Denver, and now at Camden Rainey Street – Austin, my pup and I can honestly say, to have the opportunity to live and work for a company who truly cares about the living experience of their residents is an honor. Deuce really loves meeting furry friends in our large exclusive, on and off-leash dog park and making furry friends. At Camden Rainey Street, the amenities are amazing. The staff is exceptional. The maintenance team is outstanding. The property itself is immaculate! And thats just the beginning! This community is filled with friendly neighbors who can brighten your day, sweet pets who bring a smile to your face, and spotless common areas that make your everyday living feel like a luxury. As the community manager, Andy is patient and a great problem solver! He works diligently to ensure Camden Rainey Street is not only the best place to live, but also takes the time to get to know residents and make them feel at home. I have experienced this firsthand as he happily welcomed me into the upbeat office and brings a smile to work daily! He does an outstanding job managing this awesome community.Brooke is a Rockstar! She is knowledgeable and helpful when assisting residents. She is a great listener and great at accomplishing whatever might need to be done for the residents or the community. She will make you feel welcomed when you walk into the office, as she did for me when I began work here! I have seen firsthand how well residents respond to her and her friendly personality.Jerry is awesome! He values residents for their individuality and is genuine to everyone who he encounters. When I started working at Camden Rainey Street he instantly made me feel like a friend as he does to prospects and residents alike! He is a hard worker and is always ready to help. Whether it be with maintenance or in the office, you can always count on him to happily take on new tasks! The maintenance team at Camden Rainey Street is phenomenal! Jerry, Hector, Ryan and Brandon work tirelessly to create a clean environment while also ensuring each apartment is in top notch shape for our residents. I witness them on-site daily tending to the property. Their work ethic is like no other and their expertise and positive attitudes make it that all the better! Thanks to these guys!I love living at Camden Rainey Street and grateful I can experience this daily, on and off the clock. I recommend this community to anyone searching for the perfect place to live!

Absolutely love living at Camden Rainey. Everyone is super friendly and the staff is always willing to help you out and as soon as they can. Steff has been my ultimate savior as I moved from the east coast and didnt enter the building until I was officially moving in. For something that could have been so stressful, Steff made everything so seamless and easy and I can never thank her enough.Since the move I really have loved my time here, my apartment is beautiful, modern and spacious and you couldnt ask for a better location. Having a pup here has also been great, all the dog owners are so friendly and welcoming and the dog park is so convenient for when you dont have time for a long walk on the lake (which is so easily accessible). Highly recommend this apartment building :)

Absolutely loved the tour of this luxury building when I first arrived to Austin. With hopes of making a successful trip from the east coast :( Sus delighted me with tons of quality information in regards to location and fun things to eat while Steph also made my transition very smooth. Brooke and Andy also do nothing less than providing quality upkeep procedures and keeping the community aware of important events. Do not shy away from the Camden Rainey Staff, in no time youll see why this place is home to many. The staff is lucky to have such a supporting and caring personnel.

Absolutely love living here - made a ton of friends within the building; everyones always down for a good time. Its so convenient being right on Rainey Street because if you walk out the front doors on a sunny Sunday morning and accidentally trip, youll fall right into the party thats going on at Bungalow. If not there, then Lustre Pearl or Bangers or one of the other many great bars this street has to offer. You also get WiFi at the pool, which is gorgeous by the way, so you can just work from home and catch a tan at the same time if youre lucky and can WFH. If not - I dont know what to tell you lol just enjoy it on the weekends then. Honestly not a bad time at all to sit by it and enjoy a crisp cold bud light or white claw.Anyone considering living here - would highly recommend. Steff was my leasing agent when I moved in and she was very helpful and friendly with everything. I dont know the others as well but they always wave and smile too. Cleaning crew keeps the place shining and in good condition as well.

Ahhhh if it isn’t my absolute favorite apartment complex I have ever lived in my entire life! The Camden is by far the coolest, hippest, best place to live down town austin. What else can you honestly ask for? You’re on Rainey street, you live in a luxury apartment that you’re proud to show off, and most importantly the STAFF! The staff is so nice, sooo cool, and the most understanding people ever. Andy, the head hancho, leads an incredible team there I can’t stress that enough. Every staff member treats you like royalty. Tons of smiles and great vibes. Steff at the front desk has been with me since the day she walked me through my apartment for the first time and waves at me Everytime i walk by like we’ve know each other for years. Brooke, she’s so sweet and so kind and is so quick with responding to any of my emails in a timely manner. Susan, even though she’s always working hard she let’s me come in the office and just talk to her, I don’t know how she puts up with me :) I have so much respect for the hard working women in the office they never stop working, EVER!But speaking of hard workers - the guys over on the maintenance team or as I call “the gate keepers” are the heroes in disguise. When I put in a maintenance request it’s filled immediately almost tooo quickly sometimes I feel. Lol welll there’s no such thing as too quick but seriously Jerry, Hector, Ryan, and Brandon should have gold medals in keeping The Camden as beautiful as it is all the time.I LOVE THE CAMDEN! If you’re looking for me I’ll be somewhere on our rooftop pool grilling some fajitas and watching some football on that massive screen up there. ✌🏼

Everyone is super helpful and responsive when I put in maintenance requests. The location on Rainey street, the free parking for 2 guests, and the amazing closet size/floor plan drew me here. Also, I love how safe I feel/how easy it is to walk to where my car is parked on my floor in the parking garage instead of waiting for elevators and walking around in a crowded, dark basement parking garage. I will say living on the Rainey street side, while fun, was extremely loud when everything was open. However, Camden was super accommodating and was going to help pay for noise cancelling curtains or help fix the problem somehow. It has been an amazing experience and I would recommend that anyone live here.

Living at Camden Rainey street has been the best experience and has been the best apartment I have lived in. I have been a resident ever since it was still the Milleninum and turned into the Camden. I have nothing but good things to say. It is expensive but worth the money. I recently moved out due to financial reasons due to covid. The guest parking could be annoying if you forget to register and could only register 2 cars at a time, I have had a few people towed, but thats likely for a downtown guest parking. I highly recommend living here, I am going to miss it.

I’ve held off on reviewing as I know your experience can change over time, but COVID & the construction on Rainey aside, Camden has genuinely been my best apartment experience to date. I think the location & value compared to a lot of complexes downtown is really good, but above everything it’s their responsiveness and how well they take care of the grounds that impresses me.I’ve visited many of the larger complexes downtown, and I’ve never seen a more present maintenance staff. Seriously, I put in 3 requests this morning, came home at noon and they were finishing everything up. When COVID hit, they installed hand sanitizer in each elevator and had someone cleaning the hallways regularly.Camden has painted the lobby, upgraded pool equipment, done some renovations on the club room.. tons of small changes that make the complex nicer since taking over. Everyone in the leasing office is so nice and responsive as well. It truly feels like luxury living.

As an agent, its always nice to find a building so willing and competent work with a picky client. Michael Cortinas toured my client and made her feel at home and welcomed in her new building. The prices are on par with the market, and the amenities are top notch. They seem to have a resident happy hour or breakfast every week which is great for new-to-Austin folks and meeting neighbors and enjoying Rainey. She has been living there for a month or two, and updated me that she has continued to have positive interactions with Michael and the management, and loves her apartment.

Moving sucks. Also-sometimes starting a new job & relocating to a new city can be full of challenges. Taylor and the rest of the leasing agents at the Millennium made it super easy for my move in from helping to coordinate the move to bearing with me while I acclimate to the website and other property related rules regulations and required items for move-in. Without those leasing agents I would’ve gone absolutely crazy and perhaps regretted making the move to Austin. I don’t anymore. We are a young couple living on our own for the first time and signed our lease without having seen the building or unit in person. We were not disappointed!! The leasing & move in process was extremely easy. The lobby, rooftop pool & grills, dog park, and clubhouse are beautiful and always clean. Parking is convenient and we have not had any difficulty with finding spots on our floor, which makes grocery shopping easy especially when its only one person. The staff is AMAZING! Theyre friendly and helpful on and off the clock. They’re constantly working to create an exciting atmosphere, too, with monthly resident events, a rewards program, local discounts, and more. Any time we’ve submitted a maintenance request, it’s taken care of or an appointment is scheduled that day.As for our specific unit and other units we’ve been in, they’re great! Floor plans are unique with or without balconies, one or two sinks, spacious, and more; we have a balcony facing Rainey Street and we highly recommend! The location is perfect; a street filled with a variety of bungalows-turned-bars full of young professionals. It’s less touristy than 6th street with the same amount, if not more, fun! The noise is NOT an issue. The sliding door wall paired with curtains keeps most, if not all of the noise out. Our room is in between the kitchen and the bathroom and we cannot hear a thing if we go to bed before the street quiets down. As for the space, a one-bedroom unit a little over 800 sq ft is perfect for us… in fact, we don’t even have enough stuff to fill all of the cabinets!20/10 recommend living at Camden Rainey Street!

EDIT:These guys were taken over by new management. They were very cooperative in providing proper contact to resolve this matter. I have updated my review as prior experience should not reflect poorly on the new management.------------------------------Ashley is possibly the most inconsiderate and unprofessional apt agent ever encountered. Beware before applying as they put a hold of $575.00 or more against checking account. If your landlord keeps your application deposit or application fee in bad faith, Texas Law entitles you to up to three times the value of your security deposit, a $100 fine, as well as attorney’s fees. (Tex. Prop. Code Ann. § 92.354).Contacted bank regarding fraudulent charges. Bank investigated and found assertions substantiated and reversed charges. Then Millennium turns a claim for a past due account over to collection agency for $575.00... and I have never even move in, signed a lease or stayed a day at their apt.Beware theses guys!!!!!Two years later and just discovered these guys made no effort to correct previous improper collection reported and has remained on credit report.Filing formal complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.Be aware of the requirement for the landlord to provide you proper notice of your right to review the tenant selection criteria when you applied. You have to have the opportunity to review it before you apply. The notice cannot be waived by the landlord. It is required by law.

1st floor resident here. Feel so betrayed by the folks at Millennium. Got a letter on my door saying that we can no longer park on the 1st floor (attached a copy). No form of compensation was offered for the inconvenience. So I am expected to park on the second floor or higher and now take an elevator down just to get to my apartment? Not to mention there is almost no parking ever available due to resident bringing tons of friends over. They are supposed to park on the 8th level but they never do this. To add insult to injury the guests will roam the hallways in the wee hours of the morning (like 3 am) talking very loudly in the hallways and acting disorderly. Millennium has contract rent-a-cop type security but they do not act. Many of them will hang out in the club house or computer lounge watching TV or YouTube instead of patrolling or even worse just walking around playing with their phones being inattentive to their surroundings. This situation is ridiculous and needs to be remedied. It is unfair to 1st floor residents to pay $50 a month in parking and not have the convenience of spots that lead into their apartments.A few solutions include:1) free parking for first floor residents and/or2) residents get 50% off the new restaurant and coffee shop and/or3) a few months of free or discounted rentPosting notices and inconveniencing residents is ridiculous

I loved living here but the apartment has been declining at an accelerating rate since Camden took over in May. In the last 30 days, theres been several car break-ins, 3 fire alarms, and a police raid. I cant shower between 6 am and 12 pm due to lack of water pressure. The only full water pressure is between 11 PM and 5 AM.The apartment works with Locale to rent out multiple units as STR so out-of-towners looking to get drunk on Rainey street monopolize all the amenities. However the building doesnt allow their tenants to list their units as STRs.Watch your step in the hallway, a week without nearly stepping in dog feces is an accomplishment at this property. The building markets itself as luxury apartments but is little more than an overpriced dorm rife with crime. Management is not very helpful or receptive to feedback and would rather find new tenants than keep current tenants as reflected in the difference in pricing between renewals & new leases. You are paying for location only so do not expect any more from your lease.

I spent the last year living at the Millennium and loved it. The staff has been incredibly kind and helpful, and maintenance is prompt and responsive. The apartments are sparkling clean, as are the common areas. The location is unbeatable, the pool is amazing (especially before 2pm on the weekends - it is usually not crowded), the gym is great, the dog park is convenient and the people are friendly. The live music could be heard a little from my apartment, but I had a balcony that faced Rainey Street, so I thought it was going to be much worse. And I have legitimately never heard any of my neighbors next to me, above me or below me. Totally soundproof!I have only two complaints about living here, one being the parking garage. Parking can be limited if you live on the first three floors, since the first two floors are reserved for metered parking, but otherwise parking is fine for residents. Guest parking is a hassle - you have to register your guests on an app that isn’t very user friendly and has glitches. You also can’t have a guest register their car for more than a week - because you aren’t allowed to have guests stay over a week as per your lease. I guess the thought process here makes sense, but there is no way to register your car for less than 24 hours. So my boyfriend who lives 15 minutes away and will come by to let my dog out when I have to work late, or to park for a few hours while we get dinner on Rainey - is registering to park, but not staying for days at a time. Recently, this caused an error in the app and his car was towed. It took three days to get a response from the tow company. Ashley was super helpful in reducing the cost of the tow due to the mix up - but still, a hassle. I completely understand the need for strict parking given the location, but I wonder if there are any more user-friendly apps or a more responsive tow company to work with? The other complaint is the Airbnb guests that stay at the Millennium. Residents aren’t allowed to rent out their units on Airbnb, but The Millennium partners with Locale to rent out a large portion of apartments. People that are staying here are on a vacation are just treating the space like that - a vacation. Guests can be drunk, rowdy, loud and just generally not treating the property like it is their home because - it’s not. This also will cause a certain percentage of apartments to be at capacity at all times, so prices of apartments will obviously reflect that.Sadly, my rent would have gone up close to $500/ month without the incentives that I received when I moved in last year, so I couldn’t justify staying. I did really enjoy my experience here though, and appreciated the responsive and amazing staff! I will miss The Millennium!

Careful parking here. I was less than an hour over on my parking and it was a $75 ticket which is outrageous.

Cant in good faith recommend this place to anyone. My brother is a resident, with a disability, and wheelchair bound. The management sold out the residents big time. They gave away the first 2 floors away of parking garage to a new bar that is being built on 86 Rainey St. This is COMPLETELY unnecessary considering there is more than enough paid street and lot parking for people that use the many other bars on Rainey St. Now my brother who is a wheelchair CANNOT park on the floor he lives on. To make matters worse there are no speed bumps in the parking garage. My brother almost got hit by someone driving at 30 mph plus. This is beyond unacceptable. Management doesnt care about residents at all. Safety is not a priority at all to them. Also off leash dogs roam the halls. A big Airedale mix jumped on my brother and his wheelchair while in the hallway. The dogs owner told him its not his fault he is in a wheelchair and that this place is dog friendly so he can kick rocks. My brother pays over 2k a month in rent and 50 dollars for parking. This is beyond UNACCEPTABLE.

I love the apartment and love living on Rainey, but when you pay 2000 for rent and 50 dollars for parking a month and cant find parking on your own floor is annoying. I work retail hours, came home at 10 o clock last night and couldnt find anything until the 5th floor when I live on the third. They talk bout sharing the parking LOT, but what about the residents who pay almost 2500 to live here? They guests who need to use the coffee shops can park on the street and the parking lot besides RAINEY if they really are going to come to rainey to drink coffee and not drink alcohol.

FYI: Millennium Rainey runs contests were residents can win gift cards for shilling 5-star reviews.1) PROBLEM: The security here is rude and ineffective. I was at the pool with my hubby quietly enjoying the amenity and we were told to leave by an overweight Latina woman security guard. I inquired why we were being thrown out. The woman could not speak very good English and pointed to a sign and said rules. My hubby and I left scratching our heads and were extremely inconvenienced.SOLUTION: Security needs to prioritize. Are harmless resident couples a threat to the safety and well-being of others or the establishment? SOLUTION: Better training of officers in etiquette/professionalism and hire people with common sense.2) PROBLEM: Way too many AirBnB units are here. This is direct violation of the lease but management turns a blind eye. The guests are loud and disorderly and cause conflict with the residents. Trash is left in the hallways. It is baffling that the Millennium Rainey charges 500 a night to stay at their guest suite but let’s these AirBnB units undercut their pricing and steal their business.SOLUTION: Crack down on these lease violators and fine them per the lease. Evict them if necessary.3) PROBLEM: One night around 11 pm or so I was walking the hallway with my hubby and guests that clearly dont live here yelled to us hey motherf****ers where is the lobby? We ignored them and kept walking. The guest continued: that b**** is rude and I ought to knock her teeth out. I was horrified that I just got threatened in my own place of residency. Of course, security was nowhere to be seen.SOLUTION: This place desperately needs security but not ineffective ones. Security needs to be posted at the lobby Friday and Saturday from 11pm to 3 AM Minimum. Officers need to enforce quiet hour rules and protect residents from intoxicated guests.4) PROBLEM: Guests hold doors open to let unauthorized people into the facility especially during Friday and Saturday 11 PM to 3 AM. I saw the most disgusting monstrous cockroach crawl in as the door was propped open.SOLUTION: Security needs to crack down on this practice.5) PROBLEM: Per lease the only place off leash dogs are permitted are in the enclosure in the dog park. This rule is virtually ignored. Banned breads per the lease such as Pit Bulls are owned by some residents. To make matters worse these are usually the dogs that are off leash. Dogs are off leash in the hallways, lobby, the pool, and outside of the enclosure in park park. Residents who have their dogs on leashes can get mauled by off leash dogs as they are walking outside to the dog park. One review on YELP tells the story of his small dog getting mauled and resulting in 1400 in vet bills and management doing nothing. That is a very scary scenario. I have heard stories of at least two other residents having their dogs attacked by off leash and/or banned breeds per lease. I see many residents with small dogs take their dogs to the front instead of using the dog park because they know off leash dogs and banned breads could kill their dogs. This is extremely unacceptable and needs to stop. Unfortunately, these problems will probably never be solved until a dog is killed and Millennium Rainey get sued or the Media gets involved.SOLUTION: Management needs to crack down on banned breeds per the lease and security needs to issue citations to residents who do not leash their dogs per lease. If citations do not correct the behavior then off leash dogs need to be confiscated per lease and removed from property. Banned breeds per the lease have no business being here and those breeds need to be removed immediately, for example pit bulls. And no, claiming your pit bull is “a recue or a mix” is not an appropriate reason to keep such dogs.6) PROBLEM: People drive way to fast in the parking structure. There are signs with a 5 MPH speed limit posted but these are not followed.SOLUTION: Speed humps should also be implemented.

Fantastic living experience so far. Management is very helpful in accommodating residents needs and hosting fun events. The amenities and appliances are first class and brand new. My room came pre-installed with a NEST that has helped keep energy costs low. In addition, the washer/dryer are optimized to save space and be efficient as possible. Lastly, noise has not been a factor. The only sounds I hear are the occasional neighbors walking down the huge hallways. Ive talked to residents who live on the Rainey St. side and they seem to occasionally hear the deep bass coming from some of the bars on the weekend. Other than that no additional complaints on consistent noise coming from the bars.My only peeves are the VIP trash service (Ive never enjoyed these services and would opt-out in a heartbeat if it was available) and ParcelPending will try and charge your credit card if you dont pickup your packages within a few days. AKA dont order anything then go on vacation. There are some kinks to be ironed out, particularly with the FOB entry system, but that can be expected with a brand new building. The pool is a sight to see with a great view of Rainey St. Ive been in places where the shadows and design only allow 3 - 4 hours of sunlight a day at the pool! Your guaranteed to get sunlight from sun up to sun down here. The residents trend toward 25 - 35 post graduates and everyone is friendly as this place has only been open a few months. Dogs are a welcome sight in this building and the staff will host events for you and your best friend. This makes me want to get a dog!Overall a living great experience. I can only hope that as the building gets more residences, the experience will remain first class.

The people that work here is very very nice, specially Taylor and Amber, everyone has the intention to help always. Im moving to another country thats why Im leaving my apt at Millenium but I love it! I lived in different places in Austin. I lived in gables park plaza for a year and their similar but gables is much more expensive and the building is older and also the management is sooo much nice and helpful at The millenium. I really love The Millenium.
