I really appreciate all staff here who are really kind, patient, and helpful. The carpet of our apartment was not cleaned when we moved in because the clean service ordered by the staff didnt show up on time. The manager and staff ordered another clean service as fast as they could and they gave us a discount on several days from our move-in to the date when our carpet was cleaned. We really appreciate it. Also, the leasing process was so smooth thanks to the kind staff. Moreover, we really like our apartment and the community. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone whos looking for a quality and safe apartment.
The buildings are older but maintenance is quick to handle requests and complete them. The apartments are located close to several restaurants, businesses and grocery stores. Places like the Domain and other entertainment areas are within a min drive and downtown is 10 minutes away. Great place to live.
I have lived at Northwest Hills, going into my 3rd year.Management Staff are efficient and prompt with any concerns. Maintenance is proficient. The grounds are neatly groomed, never an issue. This Communities location is perfect. Walking distance to Restaurants beauty salons etc. Major grocery stores within 1 mile. Fitness Center close.I can’t think of a better location.
Wonderful place to live!! I recently moved out of my apartment and I miss it so much. The management team and maintenance were amazing, they were very nice and very responsive. The Greenbelts landscape and upkeep was beautiful. I definitely would have renewed my lease if I did not have to move for my job.5 Star property and 5 Stars for the staff and Management!Mark M.
Absolutely ADORE this apartment complex. The maintenance and office teams go above and beyond, no matter the situation! I have lived in 5 other apartment complexes over my 8 years here before finding this one and 10/10 renewed my faith in apartment living in this city.
Amazing location at a fantastic price!I looked all over Austin for a great deal and I found one at Bridge at Northwest Hills. The entire process was super easy and the staff was so friendly. I have been living here for a month and couldn’t be happier with my choice.
I read the reviews before choosing to move to bridge at northwest hills. Im glad i chose to live here. The management and maintenance went above and beyond went it froze and pipes busted. They had a bbq dinner plate for everyone who lives here and they kept in contact with us throughout every step of the repair process. They are true professionals who actually care about their residents. This place is awesome and i recommend to all my friends or anyone reading this review. Very happy resident.
We lived here for over 2 years and just turned in our keys today! We absolutely loved our beautiful view of the greenbelt, wonderful staff up front, and the location is everything. Great community! They often held these awesome/fun community events. Bridgr at Northwest was one of my favorite places to live :) Definitely 5+stars
I stayed in this apartment for 1 year and it was a great experience with kind and warm people in the office and fast-working maintenance system. Also, I didnt have any cockroach problem here. The one-bedroom apartment was clean, well equipped, and easy to decorate because of the all-white tone interior. There were plenty of community events that made me feel like a real community. I appreciate all of the events and supports!
VERY Noisy and TERRIBLE sound isolation!I lived on the second floor for a while and there was an air conditioner system outside downstairs which made it impossible to sleep in the night. Can’t imagine how people on the first floor could stay there. Also you could hear the neighbor talking very clear, so there is basically no privacy living there. The management was bad too.
I stayed here for 2 and half years! Sad to leave, it has been a great journey with the leasing office folks! Thanks everyone! This community is super nice, quiet, safe and clean. The maintenance team is excellent as well! Definitely should choose Bridge at Northwest Hills to live if you are considering Far West area.
Ive been living here for 3 months now and I love it! Im very picky and searched extensively for a well-kept, affordable place for a 1bd/1ba in Austin. Everyone at the leasing office was super responsive, nice, and helpful throughout the entire process. Its a great location with HEB/CVS/PO around the corner and easy access to Mopac. It is an older complex with dated appliances, but I havent had any issues and maintenance is quick and friendly anyway. No W/D in unit, but the laundry room are nice and updated. I dont usually write reviews, but this place deserves it!
This is my first yelp review but if anything is deserving of it, its Northwest Hills Apartments. Ive never loved anywhere I lived this much. Ive been in the building for nearly a year now and this is the first time Ive ever renewed a lease. Northwest hills isnt just an apartment, its a community which wouldnt exist without the amazing staff. I love everyone that works here, theyre more than just people I see in the lobby but have become family. From Lacey, Cheyenne and Kimberly at the front desk. To Michael and everyone else on the maintenance staff, every day is full of happiness. The amenities are amazing, one of my favorite parts is the community events like Breakfast Brunches once a month!!. But what makes the building really special is the people, both the people that work here and all my neighbors. I think the reason its taken me this long to write a review is that I dont want the secret to get out and the environment to change. But theres something so special about the vibe at this building that that could never happen. I wholeheartedly recommend everyone come check out Northwest Hills for themselves and Id be happy to call you my neighbor!
I lived here for one year and thought it was pretty great. Cheyenne was a wonderful leasing agent and always quick to help with any questions or concerns. The greenbelt view from my apartment was cozy and I had some relatively quiet neighbors. A few folks that drove recklessly through the parking lot though. The complex is a bit older, so the siding at the time was in need of repair and I did have some electrical issues. The electrical issues were remedied pretty quickly using the emergency line and the maintenance team was always very friendly. I also had zero pest issues!Toward the end of my lease I did have more concern over the security of the complex as my vehicle and my neighbors vehicle were broken into (windows smashed). Hopefully that has stopped!
I lived here for 3 years and recently had to move for work but i absolutely loved this community! The office staff was always so sweet & helpful and the maintenance team gets stuff done in a timely manner. You can tell they truly care about their residents and community. They have several resident events a month including brunches, pool parties, breakfast tacos, pizza, gift card giveaways, etc. I highly recommend living here!
So thankful that I found these guys here. I am a UT student and work a few miles north near the Domain. living here has been so convenient for me. This place is next to the UT bus shuttle and is super convenient when I need to get to class and only a few mins from my work. the neighborhood and community is great too. being close to HEB, restaurants is convenient for me.The maintenance and staff actually care about residents and their concerns which is something I have never experienced at any places I have rented at over the years.all around great community.
Amazing and rockstar leasing agents!!! Cheyenne Crouch in the office was the best! My client and I had a great experience from the beginning and they are excited to move in this month! Thanks again Cheyenne! :)
I am working on my second year here at Bridge at Northwest Hills. I love the staff and the location. As hard as it is to find a good apartment in this city, it is harder to find good management, glad they hit all the marks! They are super responsive and helpful.
My husband and I have lived here for over two years now and absolutely love the community. It is a great mix of quiet residential but close to everything. Love being able to walk to Starbucks and HEB. It is a quick drive to downtown, to the UT campus, or to lots of companies in the Northwest. The staff at the front office are super friendly and helpful. The maintenance is great and always comes within a working day for non-emergencies.Some apartments have washer/dryer hookups but we just use the laundry room and it is readily available. We enjoy the pool and barbecue grills. Lots of parking. Dog friendly.
This apartment complex really strives to take care of its residents. They are very fast about addressing maintenance issues and makes sure resident complaints are thoroughly and kindly dealt with. They also do things like have food trucks out in the parking lot, which is really nice.
Excellent location. Quiet. Beautiful scenery. Spacious apartments. Plenty of parking. Excellent management staff. The property manager really knows how to treat his tenants and make them happy. Amazingly helpful. Rapid maintenance response with guys who really know what theyre talking about. Shout out to Luis. He does a really good job. Hell take the time to explain whats going on in an intelligent and easily understandable way, and hes extremely friendly and professional. 10/10 to him. I didnt catch his partners name, but he was great too.Cheers! And may the entire Northwest Hills team have pride, because theyre doing a great job!
You get what you pay for, I guess. Staff is lovely but these apartments are depressing, worn down, and from appearances, they haven’t been renovated in a really long time. Again, the selling point here is the relatively cheap rent for the area. That is the only thing this place has got going for it.
I lived in this apartment complex for 3.5 years, and I enjoyed the experience, until the management change. Before the change, the staff at the leasing office were very responsive and nice, and were a part of the reason I renewed my lease three times, before I moved out.My move-out experience was horrible. The staff often didn’t have answers to my questions (I had a lot of them since I was breaking my lease mid period), and gave me ambiguous answers. When I called the office, often no-one would pick up, and even when someone did, the person in charge would not be in the office, and they say that they will call me back, but would never actually do. I had to visit the office several times since phone calls were not working out, and still, the person who can help me would not be in the office, and they made me come at another time. THIS WAS ALL DURING THEIR OFFICE HOUR AND DID NOT JUST HAPPEN ONCE BUT MORE THAN THREE TIMES.They are also charging me $480 for carpet replacement, which I do not object to since I had a pet who may have made accidents, but also a separate $100 for cleaning even though I have paid non-refundable deposit (that is supposed to go to cleaning/ maintaining the apartment after move-out) and multiple appliances were already broken when I moved in and were never fixed despite maintenance requests. Apart from carpet stains, I have not made any permanent damages to the apartment and when I inquired about this, the person in charge is not explaining why my security deposit cannot go to the cleaning fee and I have to pay separately for this. All in all, super disorganized move-out experience and bad communications. Very unhappy.
For the most part I really enjoy living at Northwest Hills. The location is great -- very central to many things in Austin and much better of a commute from where I was living previously. The main thing I like is the layout of the apartment. Its so easy to meet your neighbors, since parking spots and living units are meshed together, making it natural to talk to neighbors before and after work or to/from the laundry unit and mailing area. The traffic in the parking area is calm enough that you can take a walk right in your own neighborhood without fear of getting hit or being unnoticed by cars.A few things that I dont like so much is that (1) the indoor air quality doesnt seem too good. This is probably because the apartment units are older. Theres also often a stench--perhaps from the stray or neighborhood cat--around the area of my front door. (2) Fruit flies seem to infest so easily. (3) It isnt apparent where the guest parking is. It took about a month to figure out where it was. It isnt necessarily badly placed, since I understand that it would be disadvantageous for residents living in the front units if guest parking were located there. It would just help a lot if the complex were to add signs for guest parking. Then we wouldnt have to direct our friends each time we get new visitors.
I have loved living here. The apartment is affordable compared to most Austin living and the office does an amazing job being attentive to the residents needs. Maintenance is amazing they come extremely quick to fix any and all problems you have. The grounds are always kept up and every interaction I have had with Zac and Cheyenne has been phenomenal. I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking in the area. I live in the smallest floor plan and it has been perfect for me. The layouts are great and you dont have to worry about a ton of noise coming from neighbors.
Exellent place to live, quiet and safe. The staff is great. Everything is near from here, the heb, Walt mart, down town and a lot stores.FREE Internet and cable.I really recommended.
I have only been here since April and I have had no issues. Moving in was easy. Kelsey was great at working with me to get everything organized for my moved. The grounds are always clean and I have no problems with noisy neighbors. In comparison to my last complex, this place is perfectly peaceful and cozy. My building overlooks the creek, so yes there are a few more bugs, but Ive never had a problem with them being in my apartment. The one time Ive submitted a maintenance request it was taken care of within 3 days. This is an older complex, but every experience Ive had has proven that they are very well maintained.
Hard working staff. Friendly, dedicated. If you have a problem they will work with you to solve it.
Ive lived here for roughly a month and everything seems amazing. Nice area, nice staff, nice apartments. If things change Ill definitely edit my rating but Id be surprised if they did.
I really enjoy North West Hills. The location is convient. Since I have lived here Ive had nothing but good experiences. The office personnel are friendly and the manager, Kimberly, is very professional. I live in the 2x2 and I absolutely LOVE my apartment. Life is life and things break. They would if I were in a house too. Any time I need service in my apartment the maintenance people always take care of it right away. Im a happy resident here and have referred my friends to live here as well!
DO NOT MOVE HERE! They charged us $600+ for carpet replacement though the carpet condition is not bad. They started to do towing and the visitors parking is always full. They towed my friends car at 2am and I had to pay for that price.
I have never lived at a better apartment complex. They have an amazingly helpful staff and they really go above and beyond for their tenants. They even have a 24 hr maintenance policy! They get to every issue within 24 hrs- how great is that! You wont find a better location or a better apartment complex in Austin.
I have been a resident for 5 years. I lived in a house prior to so this was my first apartment I lived in for a long time. The staff has been like a 2nd family to me. My son was 3 months old when I moved in and they have watched him grow up. They have been extremely kind to both of us. I have read prior reviews about car break ins and bug issues but that is a personal problem and I lived in a large home and had the same issues. Car break ins happen anywhere and is not a reflection of this property. The maintenance staff is amazing . Gary who is head of maintenance has come out on weekends during his time off to help with problems. The staff hosts beautiful parties and they treat their renters like gold. Those things are what is important to me when deciding on a home. I want to thank the staff for treating me like family and for doing such a great job. I am only moving as my sons school district changed. This has been a great place to raise my son and I love it and highly recommend this community. One more thing, even as a homeowner, my dishwasher broke, my appliances went out and i had plumbing issues. That is something that happens with being a home owner or renter and it happens. It is not a reflection of the community in general. It is a reflection of things that happen everywhere. It is amusing to read complaints like that. I wish a broken appliance was all I had to worry about! Take those comments in stride and see that if I choose to raise a child here for 5 years, they are doing a great job. As far as charges upon move out, they give you a list 75 days in advance of the move out. It is better than buying a home putting down 3% or contract deposits in this high end housing market. Commentary needs to be relative and not personal.
I’ve been living here for 2 years. The staff are nice, and the maintenance is awesome. Even though it’s kinda expensive in this area, I still think it’s worth it.
My $1200+ one bedroom apartment does not have one single ceiling light. Nor a $20 microwave. Someone went through my car while I parked it right in front of the building. Also, they do not send out rent due notification on the 1st like everyone else does, and but do send you an alert after charging late fees. Also, my classmate was charged a $750 move out fee, besides the deposit. All facts, no opinion.
As another reviewer noted, this place will charge you for replacing the carpet even when you dont deserve it. I lived here one year and got charged $250 even though I didnt make it any worse. I have no pets, no kids and made no stains or damage. I even voluntarily gave them $100 for any cleaning needed. I sent them a courteous email asking them to reconsider the charge since I no longer live in Austin. That was one week ago, and they never responded. Unless you want to be treated like that I would avoid this place.
Good cost, free parking, quiet neighborhood, very safe surroundings. Building are old and kind of run-down.
The property failed to help me with a broken dishwasher that spilled foam and water all over the kitchen floor, and they failed to tell me that entering my rental car information on the website was not enough, causing the car to be towed and me having to pay the towing costs. They have also been bad about redoing the doors and the outsides of the apartments. The buildings are over 40 years old, so you should expect to pay when things break. While I appreciate that parking is limited and that Northwest Hills management wants to ensure all residents have adequate parking, nobody told me about the parking sticker requirement when I signed the lease. They mentioned adding the vehicle on the website, so I assumed that was how the management checked whether a car was allowed to park there. And if the website information is not used, why dont they get rid of it? I dont appreciate that I was not told how to *correctly* add a car and I had to pay over $300 for NW Hills mistake/oversight.
The location is convenient if you attend UT Austin. The management is generally nice/professional, but neighbors are not considerate.
The management is responsive and reliable. Nice location. Quiet community.
Do not trust what they said, but be careful on the written words. Also, the suredeposits that you paid before moving does not help you at all. It is not necessary to pay for higher renting at all. When you move out, they charged you a lot of money for changing the carpet even though it is just a little dirty. Be careful about the attitude of the manager. Among all the apartments in farwest area, they are the only one to tower away your visitorss cars.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. I transferred apartments due to flooding that was not properly taken care of the first THREE times it flooded. I had to request for a ventilation fan. After the second flood, they put it in. Mold all over my shoes, carpet, and clothes. Not to mention the awful mildew smell from where they missed cleaning part of it up. The maintenance crew is unprofessional and lazy. I lived in THIS apartment with the MOLD AND MILDEW for A MONTH before they moved me. I feel like I live in the 18th century living here. When i moved apartments....I had to the code department to come look at the hot water problem. When I called to report the problem to NWH, management stated, The cold water will come back when the ground cools in November. No hot water. Are you kidding me?! The site is old and un-kept. There is a cockroach problem that was taken care of but yet there are more roaches appearing. The AC leaks in my bathtub.Laundry rooms (both) are dirty and the washers and dryers do not work properly.I did my best to communicate with the staff, but they are HORRIBLE at communicating back. They beat around the bush with problems and are EXTREMELY unprofessional.DO NOT MOVE HERE. There are much cheaper and nicer apartments within the area. Also, my neighbor had fumes come into her apartment due to the lazy maintenance dept not opening the windows from cleaning the apartment next door...Management told her to open windows. She has multiple animals as well living in the apartment.
Great place to live! I am a current tenant and have been so for almost a year. I am new to Austin, but have lived in about 7 apartments in 3 states previously. The management here at Northwest Hills has been excellent and is in the top two of all of my apartment experiences (both of which I loved). Maintenance requests are dealt with promptly, as well as any complaints. I had a musician living downstairs who had a drum set for a few days. After complaints, I havent heard his music at an unreasonable level once since. Even with the loud musician, the apartments are very quiet. I live in a top floor apartment. Ours has a cement floor below, so very little noise is transmitted between. The apartments have been and are being renovated. They have been repainted, new appliances in many (ours), and are about to repaint areas of our apartment that have yet to be touched up. There is absolutely no known crime problems in the area and there is a very beautiful neighborhood nearby that is great for walks. They have upgraded the boiler system hot water in the fall. When we first moved in, hot water was very spotty at best. Now we have had no issues, other than when a freeze froze over one of the hot water pipes. In this case, the complex offered a key to an apartment to shower in during the day. Probably my only complaints with the complex are that they charge too much for water as they charge per person which means two people runs about $40 a month and the trip from campus on the FW shuttle can take as much as 35-40 minutes at peak times because of traffic and the shuttles run at non-constant intervals (5-15 minutes). Overall, I love our location.Update: It looks like they may be raising rent rates by $100 to $130 a month with the upgrades to the apartments this last year. This may become a price issue.
I love love love my patio view!
The whole bathroom painting is stick when its wet. When I take a shower my feet will stick in the bath tube, and the wall looks like melting. Ive requested to re-paint the bathroom several times, but its been a month past and they didnt do anything. The painting material is definitely harmful. They have huge Germany cockroaches here also, requested several pest control services and roaches are still here. Ive been fooled by this rating score; this complex cannot rank 4.1/5; I dont know why this ranking score so high, considering the very expensive rent fee. Its not worth to stay. I wish I can move out as soon as possible.
