Tuesday I had a new A/C unit installed, after reading how important a proper installation is to the function of the unit(less than five years old), I feel that was part of the problem, the difference between the two is night and day. The tech was very professional and knowledgeable .Thank you for being old school and taking pride in your work. 4 dogs and I are very cool and happy.
This local company is quality and affordable. Their customer service is the best Ive received in years.They were the only company that answered the phone during a Texas State of Emergency Winter Storm and remained in touch during the week so we could rest assured that our needs would be met and our heat would remain on.Our technician, Tim was out all day and night (making sure that he made it to every stop so we wouldnt have to wait) battling the obstacles from the cold himself, and ensuring that people had heat during the terrible weather. He was thorough, descriptive, friendly, and treated us with kindness and compassion.I am so grateful to this local company for their dedication to quality service and to Tim for his experience and dedication.
Excellent customer service way beyond what I could have asked for. Super affordable too. Very honest, which I appreciated more than anything. If he had concerns about my system, he was able to show me pictures and explain everything in simple terms. Did an outstanding job of cleaning out the ducts, installing an air purification system, and cleaning our blower in the AC/furnace. I couldnt be happier with the professionalism and the services provided.
ABA was able to send out a technician on a Friday afternoon with very short notice. (on a very hot long weekend) The replacement equipment was on hand the problem was fixed within 60 minutes. We were quoted a $ figure over the phone that was honored with no problems. I had an excellent experience with ABA customer service, timing and professionalism and would recommend them to others.
Cody was the technician that came to service our system behind the mess that Strand Brothers made. He troubleshooted the entire system before diagnosing it, something that Strand Brothers and Fox services did not do but charges for. He got our system running as Strand Brothers (SB) had it wired incorrectly, SB had replaced our thermostats, and SB had cut our damper to turn it off. Had we had called ABA Heating and Cooling first, we would have saved money in unnecessary replacement of parts that probably were ok in the first place. The office staff at ABA are professional and courteous. The technician was on time and knows his stuff! I cant save enough about this company!
ABA has always been outstanding in sending someone out to take a look at AC or heating issues when we have called them. Managing several properties, this is very important to us. The techs have always called to let us know what the problem is and to request authorization to fix before actually performing the fix which we also appreciate very much. The office staff has always been helpful to review invoices if we have had any questions.
Tyler and ABA heating have been incredible. Up until my a recent purchase from ABA of a new HVAC, I was using a system that was easily 20 years old and on its last leg (to put it nicely). Ive been working with ABA and Tyler for years now and never once was I pressured to get a new unit. He did everything in his power to keep the old one going as long as possible. Tyler is friendly, professional, kind hearted and treats his customers like family. He goes out of his way and makes himself available for consult even at incredibly inconvenient times. I would recommend ABA to all of my friends and family. They do a great job, are trust worthy and take genuine pride in their work.
No Integrity. Do not use this company. ABA left me with a leaking pipe and water damage to my home and will not make good on it. I called and emailed and was told the manager was not in. I had to continue to call for two days. The. ABA will take no responsibility saying his repair guy did not leave any notes saying he cut my pipe. The repair guy told me he was working 16 hour days. He told me I had backed up plumbing and he was trying to repair it. I told him I did not have backed up plumbing. He then said he was not going to charge me for work he did in the attic but then went outside and checked my unit and said I had a leak. He put Freon in and states it would hold me over until he came back tomorrow for a leak check that he suspected was only a small leak. He did not come back for a week. He then said he performed the leak test, the leak was very small and he repaired it. I paid almost $500 only to end up 3 months later with my closet leaking. I called a different repair company who assessed the situation and told me if it was his mother he would tell her to call ABA back and ask them to send a manager out. He said the pipe had been cut an inch too short and it was a rookie mistake. ABA manger would not come out or take any responsibility. He said this must have happened after his repair guy came out, he’s seen it before where the pipes just come loose on their own. He said I would have known I had a leak sooner and there would be so much water leaking my roof would have caved in. The new repair company says this is BS. Judge for yourself but CONSUMER BEWARE. Don’t say you weren’t warned when they come to your new home and cause you water damage to your new home!
ABA is great! We used them to service our AC system, Kendall came out and was on time very friendly and great to work with. He cleared our drain line with out any issues and cleaned up after! I recommend ABA to all my friends and neighbors.
Ive been a customer of ABA for almost 5 years and have been very satisfied with their service during that time. They installed a new AC and heating for me and regularly maintain it. Their technicians are respectful, knowledgeable and dependable. I highly recommend ABA!
DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!! THEY ARE CROOKS. They sent a tech out, Chad Mcgregor - project manager to diagnose why my AC unit was not cooling. He checked the outside unit for a few minutes then came inside and opened the inside unit door flipped a switch and closed it in seconds. He tells me their is a massive freon leak in the outside unit and could not be repaired and it was completely out of freon. The only solution was to replace the entire system, $8,300.00 and that he could get it done today. - YEAH I BET!! I told him that I would try to figure out how to get the money and call him back. I called another company for a second opinion. They came out within 2 hours spent time both outside and inside. Their diagnoses - stopped up drain line and dirty coil - NO LEAKS and my unit still had freon in it. $105.00 later my unit has been blowing cold and perfect. I asked them specifically - are you sure their arent any leaks?? They said nope, no leaks. I am now arguing with ABA to try to get a refund on my $69.00 diagnosis after they lied to me / tried to bait me to spend $8,300.00 / and after they advertise that the diagnosis IS FREE.
Had faulty wiring that was causing multiple error codes to where my unit would not function properly. ABA sent two professional, polite gentlemen to install new wiring and re-diagnose my unit for any errors. They were patient with me and answered all of my questions. While working from home less than 10ft from them, they were not too intrusive/loud(er than needed to be) and I was able to keep working uninterrupted. I am extremely happy with ABAs service personnel and I am happy to report that my unit is working beautifully. I have never had a bad experience with ABA. I highly recommend using them!
Tim Kaye is the best!!! He came out today because my unit had a Freon leak. He fixed that leak, but I called to have him come back because the unit wasn’t cooling well. He spent another 3 hours inside the unit where he found another leak that no one else did. It wasn’t detectable using any of the tools they have, but he noticed a noise and put his hands into the unit to discover that two small copper pipes were rubbing against each other and when the unit was rumbling the pipes would separate and that’s when it would leak. NO ONE ELSE SAW THIS!!! Tim fixed that second leak, pulled all the copper pipes apart so none would be rubbing and might cause that in the future, vacuumed out all the moisture caused by the leak (that turns to ice inside the unit which causes a racket), and made sure it was all tip top before putting the cover on it. The unit runs correctly now and is SO MUCH QUIETER!!! He spent 4 hours to MAKE SURE IT WAS FIXED RIGHT BEFORE LEAVING!!!THANK YOU TIM KAYE, YOU HAVE MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THIS HOUSEHOLD WITH THE SUMMER RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!! By far the worst appliance company we have ever worked with. They told us we needed a $1,000 part to fix our unit, and that if we didn’t we’d have leaks in the house. We got the part, it broke less than two months later, they wouldn’t fix it or refund us. Then we tried calling their manager for literally weeks and he wouldn’t call us back. The customer service rep would call him on the other line to talk to him about our issue while we waited on hold, but when we finally got a hold of him he said “he didn’t have time to call us back”... for 3 weeks. Zero integrity in this company.We had 2-3 second opinions out, they said there was no way we needed to replace our part and our unit wasn’t near getting replaced like ABA tried to convict us to do.Seriously the worst experience. They don’t care about the customer at all.

Tyler was great on both visits, Dean did a great job helping me pick a system that was going to do everything I was expecting and the crew on Monday was fantastic and so polite. Very customer service oriented. Its been less than a week but there is a HUGE difference. My husband has asthma and I was explaining this to Dean and Tyler and they were able to get me a system that has been working wonders. My husband said to me yesterday that he hasnt had to use his puffer AT ALL for a few days now since the new system has been installed.He can breathe easily and I have noticed a big difference in temperature throughout the house. I havent had to fight with the temperature settings since I programmed the schedule. The thermostat is super easy to use as well and looks very stylish. Im amazed and so happy I found you guys. We had an air conditioning situation - it conked out at 9pm on a Friday night when we had paying guests - and we couldnt have been more grateful to ABA - and couldnt have been happier with their service. The phone operators were wonderful and super prompt, and within an hour I was at the house meeting the technician, Tyler. He was incredible - super friendly, efficient and knowledgable. I had family in town in March during one of the first hot weekends and my AC wasn’t working! I called ABA and they had a tech out within 24-hours. He was extremely helpful and time efficient and had my AC working within an hour. He told me exactly how much it was going to cost and what he needed to repair. Very transparent and cost effective. The following Monday they called to make sure everything was still working and I was satisfied. Super nice family and employees that run the business. They saved the weekend! My A/C and Heating Unit both had to be replaced and it was done in a very timely manner and works perfectly and have had absolutely no problems since the installation. Everyone associated with ABA was so very friendly and helpful to me and being a very senior citizen that is not always the case with some of these companies. They did everything they told me they were going to do plus they left behind no mess for me to clean up. Amazing service and I thank you.
We had ABA come out after reading a lot of great reviews. Our tech looked at the unit for two minutes, told us it was the motherboard, and then spent 30 minutes trying to sell us a new AC system. We replaced the motherboard, and the AC still didnt work. We called another company to come out for a second opinion who spent an hour checking the system, including the old motherboard. They determined that it was not the motherboard at all but a completely different problem. I would not waste my time with ABA - in our experience the techs are there to sell; not to fix anything.
Had these guys come out 2 separate times for the same issue, they charged us for service and a part the first time and a service diagnostic the second time. Didnt fix the issue and acted like I was imagining it because the heat would still eventually turn on (we had a few very cold days before it would kick on). Was about to have them come out a third time but canceled and decided to have someone else come out. The new company knew what the issue was over the phone and fixed the issue on the first visit. So disappointed with ABAs policy on charging me for each visit and never fixing the problem!
We are delighted to share that everyone at ABA was responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. They attempted several times to diagnose our problem with our A/C system before they even arranged the appointment. This means that if we had a very simple problem that we could potentially solve ourselves, it would have saved a call altogether. That is service you rarely find any more. I appreciate how difficult HVAC work can be, particularly during a Texas August. We have enjoyed the professional service over the past year from ABA personnel in office & out in the field. There has been very good reception for requests of work to be done on our 10 Residential rental properties. There is very good feedback with copies of invoice for billing & registered equipment.The Techs communication is very good for discussions of active on the job problem solving & decision making. This allows the benefit of comfort of my Tenants for all seasons. We also use ABA for our primary home residence.
Now that its getting hotter my A/C was having trouble keeping my house cool, and it was getting up to 80+ degrees inside in the afternoons. I called ABA and they had someone out the next day to diagnose the problem. They were prompt, courteous, and even walked me through a couple different options for what we could do based on different prices. 10/10 would recommend!
I called them at 6:30 on a Saturday evening. Ian showed up 1 hour later. Checked my entire air system an could find nothing wrong. He was really helpful and extremely personable after what Im sure was a long hot day in 104 degree weather. Turns out it was my filter. I get the dumb homeowner of the month award for sure. Called ABA yesterday when my heater wasnt working, they got someone out the day of and didnt leave my family in the cold. Our heater was replaced for an affordable amount in a short period of time. I will defiantly be using them from here on out.

Nothing like having your system go out in the midst of triple digits!! I called ABA Heating & Cooling and from 1st contact, my joyful experience began! The staff was very professional, caring and empathetic to my situation and my need to have someone out asap to repair my a/c system. I called at 9am and they had a tech at my house within the hour. Sadly my system had finally decided to call it quits, after all those years and ABA quoted a very reasonable price for a new system install, as well as they had my new system installed and cooling my family by 3pm that same day. From the get go, each and every person from ABA was extremely pleasant and professional. I understand that sometimes things dont always go so smoothly, but to read some of the reviews left for this company I find a bit hard to believe. 5 Thumbs up for excellent service, professionalism and productivity!!
I sent a request to ABA at 2:30am online, and they contacted me by 8:00am that morning, and had someone there by 8:30. The A/C problem was rectified and the repairman was fantastic. ABA came out and Replace my HVAC system and they were awesome and they even made sure that the job was done correctly they also called and followed up with me to make sure the job was done correctly Lisa even came and hand delivered me the receipt. They are great they even help me get a great price.
Aaron responded to our service request. We had had our electrical box replaced and afterwards our heater stopped working. Our electrician couldnt figure out what caused it. We left town for six weeks. While we were away, we found out my husband had to have surgery the day after we returned and finding a company and calling for service was low on the priority list. However, we were cold and I was concerned about my husbands recovery. My husband found ABA online and I called for an appointment. I was promised someone would there here in 3 hours! When Aaron came to check out the unit, he quickly diagnosed the problem as a melted control panel caused by the electrician hooking a 240v circuit to a 115v unit. The heater was toast.Aaron assured us he could have a crew out the next day and replace the unit. True to his word, Aaron sent Richard and his crew bright and early the next morning. By that evening we almost had heat - the delay was a result of the mess left behind by the former owners who had jury rigged a system that never functioned well since we bought the house. The next morning at 7 a.m., Richard returned to finish the last bit and we are happy as clams - warm too! ABA went beyond and above what was necessary to get our service restored. The crew was polite, professional and well prepared to do the work quickly and efficiently. I would recommend ABA in a heartbeat to anyone with heating and a/c problems. Thanks, ABA - youre the best!
I had them fix my air conditioner late in the summer and they did not hook my heater back up to the blower. I called them to come do this and they said they would be at my house between 12-5 and they never showed up. Do not use them.I am adding an edit. They ended up showing up around 7ish. I did not get a curtousy call saying that they were running behind. And yes they did not hook things up correctly. I still stand by comment about not using them.
I bought a home and three months later the HVAC system died. I contacted ABA and Aaron came to my rescue. I knew nothing about HVAC systems and he spent time to answer all of my questions. I purchased a new system and within 2 days I had AC again! Did I mention this was in July??? Then came the winter. My new system performed beautifully and my electric bills have fallen off a cliff. Thank you Aaron and Morgan. You are life savers. If you are wondering about ABA... you have found the team you will want to contact for all of your appliance/HVAC needs.
It has been a long hot day at the Tindall household. Our AC stopped working last night. This morning I called ABA Heating and Cooling serving Pflugerville. They sent out a technician within 30 minutes of my phone call, no window of time to wait. When they arrived they provided us with a window unit to install in our living room to help with the heat in the house. Needless to say its 6:30 and we have a brand new AC unit installed and working wonderfully. I highly recommend this company for all your heating and cooling needs. We only gave a five star rating because there are not 10 stars to choose from.
My mother inlaw got a quote for air conditioning replacement and this company went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of. They were able to come out and service us all the way in Elgin on Saturday and we were very satisfied with this company we will use them again and recommend them . There technician arrived on time and we have cold air conditioning.
Check them on Yelp. Google reviews are easily faked!!!! Dont make the mistake I made!! Also, dont believe the nearbynow reviews. Its a paid site meant to mislead people. Only true Yelp for the true scam this company is. Its the only site that is hard to game.Update on May 17th. Within 2 hours of review 3 great reviews came in on Google for them lol. Coincidence? I doubt it. ScamThey are so bad on Yelp they created another account. One is ABA Appliance repair and the other is ABA heating and cooling. Both accounts are rated 2 stars now. I am copying my Yelp review here below:Avoid them like the plague. Very rude staff and manipulative. I am still fighting a restocking charge they put on my card for an A.C. they didnt even unbox not to mention install. Yet they charged me $1100!!! You read that right. $1100 because I cancelled service with them because they priced 2x every other quote I got. They had my card because they needed to charge it for coming out to diagnose. Biggest mistake I made. All because I was inquiring about billing discrepancies. When faced with the charge I even told them to do it and they took it back saying I wasted their time yet charged me $1100 for it. I will be filing a complaint with BBB as well.Avoid this company if you want honest dealings.This company has now charged another $4600 to my card for service not provided and they are not responding to calls to refund the money. This is pretty much illegal I am sure. Do not give them your card. They will keep charging it as they please.Also noticed they created a new account.Update: Your response is plagued with lies. What did I sign regarding a cancellation fee? When did you disclose such fee? Also, you claim its a restocking fee yet you did not install anything and insisted on leaving. I will upload the video of you leaving to youtube and share the link here. You are a scam that wanted to charge for doing nothing. You will be exposed I promise you. You then went ahead and charge the full 5800 simply because I have my card for diagnosis? Then you are saying I refused to talk about refund. No, you refused refund. Whats there to discuss? Refund is a yes or no thing. I will escalate to BBB and local legislative authorities regarding tour practices. Afterwhich I will go to the news outlets. You will not continue to deceive people and scam them.Also, the other company did my A.C. for $4000 and it works great. You are a scam. You take peoples cards upfront when coming for diagnosis then keep charging as you please.Lastly, lying that I told you to wait for me to get quotes is silly. I told you not to come anymore and you decided to show up. Afterwhich I said ok do it and then you left. Video coming up once I get it up on YouTube. I will screenshot your loss so you cant retract them.And on having 2 business units, I still will tell people to check yelp. The reviews there are authentic and expose you.Update: Still sticking to the lies I see. I did not agree to any 20 percent restock fee as I was never told such till after the fact when you charged it. In fact, I am convinced you came and left just to charge the money after I told you not to come. I have pictures and videos that will be linked here soon.Also, I gave you my card because you said you need it before coming to do diagnosis. Thats why the first charge was $70. I will paste screenshots to this review to show the progression of charges. You then started charging more things because you had my card.Furthermore, to expose you lie about me not wanting to talk, I just recorded your staff hanging up on me repeatedly. I will upload that to youtube too so they world will see how sleezy you are even as you lie in your replies. Unfortunately I have to take out the time to share my horrendous experience with ABA Heating and Air Conditioning of Austin Tx. but I owe this to the community. I had the unfortunate experience to have randomly chosen ABA for the replacement of my A/C air handler unit. After 6 months from the time of installation, the new evaporator coil developed a leak, this was due to tubing that had been bent against the cabinet while installing and vibration over time caused it to leak. The technicians while installing yet another evaporator coil also caused the insulation to separate on the inside of the cabinet door from opening it while under pressure, penetrations into the air handler such as tubing, wiring and drain lines where not properly sealed or secure. The electrical breaker for the unit was also damaged and still does not fit securely in the cabinet. Finally, it is not ABA’s practice to provide the customer a service invoice without formal requests to the office manager. Also they refuse to refund the after hour service charge on a unit covered by their installation.
ABA all around great service. They performed a spring check on my air conditioning system and got me up and ready for summer.
One star is too much for these people. I was stood up 3 times and was refused a refund for the diagnostic fee. This fee is ABAs way to make sure you follow through with your repair but there is no guarantee they will show up to do the said repair. Its outright theft. The check was cashed immediately and no work was done. Please note the cut and paste response from ABA We aim to provide exceptional service to 100% of our customers its fake. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! They will waste your time and take your money (I was stupid, I didnt read the reviews. Dont do what I did)
My A/C unit wasnt cooling enough, but the temp. didnt go high like 80s. So called them to check it out. The technician did the diagnostics and said A/C unit will need about 2 lbs of Puron. After giving the go ahead he said it consumed 6 lbs + 20 oz. My units full capacity if 7.5 lb. If the unit runs out of Puron, it wont even maintain the temp. in mid 70s. Felt like it was a rip off @ $55 / lb which is close to $350 for Puron gas refill.

Incredibly impressed with the service I received from ABA, from the people that answered the phone to the technician that came out and took care of my heater. Would not hesitate to use them again.
The tech diagnosed my problem as a failed capacitor and told me that the cost of the part was 269.00 but he would take 100.00 off, the labor took less than 15mins.This part is available by the manufacturer for 30.00 plus free shipping and cheaper on Ebay....so the free advertised service call is only a scam to inflate the price of the parts and labor not to mention that the tech was deliberately dishonest.And furthermore I gave the tech 170.00 cash and received no receipt or change.Thanks ABA.
Ive read the reviews and i understand the frustration of some but I have had great service from the first phone call(by my wife) to my call with Mr. Davis and the visit and consultation/quote with Randy. My A/C unit is thirteen years old, a Trane from Sears...got a quote from Sears...no way! Compared three quotes... I believe Im going to trust Randy, Mr. Davis and ABA.
