Sadly the experience has gone sour, prior to licensing. When I received a Deficiency notice from the State on a Friday, I immediately contacted Thomas Carnevale at Umbrella Technologies from whom I had received the Exhibits. Tom indicated he would follow up, but I didnt hear from him and after another set of texts and emails that he didnt respond to, I had to contact him again on Tuesday. When he deigned to return my call he was indignant, he indicated he had been sick. I, of course, had no knowledge of this and did this mean when hes out nothing happens, even highly important things have to wait? He indicated that perhaps I had done something wrong with the submission. He told me where I could find the information in the document. I still have a copy of the audio and the condescending manner in which he addresses the issues. In response to a subsequent email I sent, Mr. Carnevale went on to indicate that out of 30 applications, 4 had the same result, therefore the State was wrong in its analysis. So, people, Im at the end of the application period, we all know the Security plan is used as a tie breaker and Mr. Carnavale thinks I should tell the State, its in there. Did I indicate I am a Social Equity Applicant and made a plan to pay after licensing and his other clients paid upfront? Wonder if he responded the same way to his monied group. Had Mr. Carnevale responded quickly and even pretended he cared about me and my application and even gave the slightest assistance in crafting a response, I would not be writing this. Mr. Carnevale thinks its more important to play defense than to make his report is complete and to get the win for his client and himself. Perhaps he feels he has three other solid applications and doesnt need mine to be competition anymore? Beware of someone not fully committed to you.

Having quality security was a major priority when we established our new Headquarters in Evanston Illinois- as our team serves more the 1,600 youth and reaches more than 4,000 family members each year through afterschool and summer learning programs, clinical counseling, street outreach, and parent engagement programs.
