Found Max Madsen on accident via an Ad that popped up on Facebook showing a very nice looking 2012 BMW 650i Convertible. Drove an hour to go see the car. The experience was wonderful. The car was ready and waiting. No surprises. We had even discussed my trade-in before I arrived. No pressure to buy the car. We were offered a very fair price on our trade-in. Financing was done online before going to the dealership and by the time we got there it was all approved and very competitive rate/terms. My wife and I have worked for car dealerships in our past careers and have bought many cars in our lifetime. We have seen a lot of scams and shady practices. I can safely say that this dealership and the staff and owner treat you like family. They care more about their image and their reputation than making money or selling cars. The overall experience was calm, relaxing, informative, and every step was explained and every question was answered. The car we purchased was in great condition, clean, serviced and inspected. Even after the sale, when I had questions about the car or my warranty they were quick to respond and continued to reassure me that I was a valued customer and I was a priority of theirs. I reached out to Jon on Thursday regarding the BEAUTIFUL Tesla Model 3 on the lot. He literally had me approved within the next few hours. We drove out from West Michigan on Saturday to pick it up. This was easily the best experience I have ever had at a dealership. I am not kidding. We came in, traded in our 2016 Kia Optima, test drove the Tesla, signed paperwork and were DONE. I swear less than 30 minutes and the car was ours, and that is including the time we took it for a quick test drive! Jon got me out from under the 18% interest we were paying on the Kia, and got us down to 5.8%. I am truly appreciative of the help and service we received. If I could give more stars, I would. I feel when warranty work is being done or waiting on parts to be shipped in to a vehicle the owner should have access to a loaner car free of charge. Not a discount for a rental. Or offer rental reimbursement

If I could give this place no stars I would. Their service center is a total disappointment. My Mitsubishi I Miev 2012 has a noise when I turn the air conditioner. The technician said that it was due to some napkins trapped on it. I tested the car before I left and still had the noise. The technician checked it again while giving me a bad attitude, found out that the supporting brackets for the compressor were broken. A more than $400 work. And after paying $152 for diagnostic, money that would not be adjusted if I decided to repair the car there, so it would be $550 for replacing some brackets. The service is terrible, the technician is rude, temperamental, and unprofessional. My car is still not fixed. Be warned if you have the unfortunate event of being attended by technician Robert Willard you’re in for an extremely bad experience. Service advisor, Meghan Brozenec, didn’t do anything to help me either.

John, in car sales, is THE BEST. John asked me what I was in the market for and what kind of payment range I was comfortable with and then he worked magic and got me exactly what I asked for. He never tried to push me to spend more than I had said I wanted to spend and didn’t try to talk me into trying out vehicles that he knew I wouldn’t be interested in. Point is, John listens. I bought a Mitsubishi from here back in 2014 and the service was great back then so I came back this past weekend (August 2020) and the customer service was still great so you bet that in the future I’ll be back again! Just had a recall repair and oil change completed at Max Madsen. I was pleased with the service. The waiting area was setup for distancing. They offered complimentary snacks and water and kept me informed of the status of my service work.Ill return!
Pick up and drop off was quick and all staff members were friendly. My only issue was that my driver window was extremely dirty with hand prints when it was returned. Besides that it was an easy going experience with minimal effort on my behalf which I enjoy!

This visit was one of many. As a customer I have always been treated with courtesy and been made to feel important. Today I only needed an oil change. With this pandemic being a concern, I was advised of the number of customers in the waiting room and advised of other places I could wait. I am high risk so I greatly appreciated the options. I actually didnt have to wait long. Clean oil and a clean car!

Add $599 to the advertised price that you see - this isnt the standard IL Doc Fee, its straight into the dealers pocket. This is for a VIP Prep Package or something of that sort that Mad Madsens puts on top of ALL sales. Apparently, this is a mandatory fee for them to vacuum and put the car through a car wash. It was explained as a fee flat fee to make their vehicles ready for sale, such as ding and dent removal, scratch removal, brakes, oil changes, etc...The used van that I looked at had pitted rotors which indicates they need replacing, the body was scratched on nearly every panel, in a couple spots (about 3 radial) the paint was completely peeled and repaired with some matte black paste. They couldnt explain the fee after that.3 Stars for the clean facility, having the vehicle ready upon arrival, and follow up (I called after).Something also struck me when going over pricing of their van, which was sitting on the lot for over 3 months, priced at $10K. The salesman said hes confident itll sell because its tax time. He pointed in a general direction and said the low income people there will be looking to buy as they get their income taxes. Wow! I guess only low income look at $10K cars. I dont know anyone who wakes up everyday and dresses up to go sell Mitsubishis, but if I did, I wouldnt consider them high income nor label them low income.I think the salesguy said he drove a fully loaded 2018 Outlander Sport. LMAO. Definitely a high roller.Edit: They claim confusion. Perhaps its poor record keeping or inept records checking. Adding a photo of the van from their site with their advertised price. Advertised as $10K, no mention of a mandatory $599 fee. If its mandatory and it goes to your business, its the price.

Ask for Mona she will make sure you are taken care of and is a pleasure to work with.Long review: I went in after a day of looking at vehicles in the area with my Wife, 8 year old sister, toddler daughter, and new born infant. I was greeted right away by Mona who is a joy. She made us feel comfortable and treated us like family. I explained to her exactly what vehicle and trim I wanted( new 2019 Outlander LE). I had already done my research on the prices and knew exactly what they went for. I was very pleased with the negotiations, Mona and her manager gave us a great price. We then got in to my current vehicles trade in negotiation, I knew exactly what my vehicle was worth. They gave me a great offer on my trade in and we had a deal. All of this happened very quickly with out any delays, Mona never tried to oversell us on any junk. I was so happy with the experience we went back a few days later to trade in my other truck for another new Outlander for my wife. In both transactions we felt very comfortable and to be honest it was the only time ever dealing with a dealer that I did not feel like I was being ripped off or oversold. The Wife and I are very happy with out Outlanders, we are going to be long time clients of them and would recommend coming here and with Mona.The dealer itself is very clean they had donuts, cookies, snacks, and waters. They have a kids play room with various toys.
Bought a Lexus Rc 350 that had been in accident was never told also the brakes where almost gone and the motor had a back fire when I was going to slow down. Mind you the car had 30000 miles on it so in my mind no need to check. I brought it back to them and ask them if they would honor fixing the brakes and there shop guy and owner denied that there was an issue. I haven’t bought a car in a while up to that point and I trusted them to be a reputable dealer however in my experience I feel taken advantage of and saw all they cared about was my money. I would never recommend these guys for anything. Be Leary of there Business practices not once did I meet any sale company in Chicago I felt so taken advantage by. I give them a negative 5 star. ⭐️

I had a dishonest and poor customer experience at Max Madsens with Jon Schulz. I bought a 2012 Subaru Outback. Discussing this vehicle, he told me the brakes had about 50% of their life left, and on a used car they wouldnt replace them unless they were in dire need of replacing. Makes sense. I took a Subaru dealership for a service a week or two later and discovered the brakes measured at 2mm left (not estimated) – dangerously low. Now, the issue isnt that a used car needed some work. In fact, I would have still bought the car knowing I needed to fix them! But I would have driven this car to Seattle on brakes that could have failed me. I contacted Jon about this and he told me the Subaru dealer was trying to sell me new brakes (projection, perhaps? Either way yet another repair shop confirmed this) and when presented the official, written documentation of brake measurement, told me it wouldnt be fair to make any changes to our deal since we were both operating under the knowledge of the mechanical inspection at the time. My question is, are the mechanics at Max Madsens unable to determine the difference between safe and unsafe brakes? What else wouldnt they catch? Additionally, I never once received something so simple as an apology. Instead, Jon decided to blame their mechanics and myself for accepting this deal. The petty smallness of blaming others (including the customer) is really what put this over the line as a terrible experience. $800 extra needed to go into this car to make it safe to drive.Edit to respond to Todd: Hey Todd, I CCd you on my communications with Jon two weeks ago. Whys it take posting on social media to get a response? Do you read your emails? Lets be clear about a pre purchase inspection. It shouldnt be my (or anyone elses) responsibility to confirm you or your mechanics can be truthful or accurate. The pre purchase mechanic noted they were low but stopped short of actually measuring. Finally, if youll read what I wrote, after the authorized Subaru technician measured them at 2mm post purchase, I took it to yet another mechanic (the one my family always uses) who confirmed this measurement.

Applied to see if I qualified for a brand new Eclipse cross. They were very responsive to me as a perspective customer but apparently they couldn’t get a bank to finance me and I never heard from them after they ran my credit. I called and emailed Brad to obtain the credit report they ran and never got a response. I didn’t know I wasn’t qualified to finance until over a month later when they sent a “touch base” email. So, note to prospective buyers...all customer service goes out the door once they find out you don’t qualify for a vehicle. Want a good dealership? Check out Continental Mitsubishi. Got the same make model and trim for an even lower price and a bank that would finance me without breaking my car note budget.

I bought a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in 2012 and another one in 2016 from Max Madsen. I’ve recommended them and Mitsubishi countless times. After my most recent experience, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere when I’m in the market for a new car next. I’m not sure what’s going on, but there is a stark contrast in the customer service now as compared to my previous experiences. The actual service performed on my vehicle was excellent, but I was disappointed in my interactions with staff. I’m certain it’s been tough times at dealers due to COVID, so I suppose losing another customer isn’t a big deal. Too bad for me, I guess.

I had a great experience getting my car a couple days ago.I was helped by Ryan Clark. He was very nice, funny, personable and he wasnt pushy. The process was very easy. I told him what i wanted and he found me a car quickly, I test drove the car, and I was sold. Before we even got out of the car he was outside waiting for us which seems kind of odd but then again at least he was paying attention and was ready to help. I walked in just to get information about some of their cars. I wasn’t expecting to buy. A young man named Brad York showed me around and told me about some of their best deals. I found a car I liked but not for the price I could afford. Brad spent 3 hours with me going back and forth with the managers and found me a price and financing I could work with. He went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, find the right car, and he fought for me on a reasonable price. The location is great but I would definitely ask for Brad York. He is professional and has the buyers interests in mind. I walked out with an amazing car at a great price.

Ryan, was extremely energetic. He really took the time to make me feel comfortable and understand the buying process. He worked with me and his manager to get me into a price in my range and the vehicle I had my eyes on. I greatly appreciate their service, professionalism and friendliness. I was very impressed with this Mitsubishi dealership. It was so big with an even bigger car selection.As soon as we were walking in, we were immediately welcomed and assisted by Herman. This was my first car buying experience at a dealer and Im glad he was the one to help me. He was able to answer all of my questions thoroughly, was very kind, and he was not pushy to make a sale like most salesmen would be. Im so happy to have given Herman my time and sale yesterday.The far drive to Aurora was worth it and I walked out with the car I had set my eyes on with a great deal from Herman.
