Poor pet food selection, almost non-existent selection of animal crates that were hidden in a back corner. When I was in there they only had one shelf designated and marked for crates and it was almost completely empty with the exception of 1 cat carriers and 1 small dog sized hard carrier/crate. Their collar/leash section and toy sections were sub-par as well. Had spaces for birds and reptiles for sale but would not consider buying from here because they have them in TINY spaces. Not near enough space to put more than one in without causing stress and sickness. They also offer fish but I think they probably have a high mortality rate because the aquariums look to be smaller than 10 gallons, close to possibly 5 and most with over 15 fish in them. Also a breeding ground for illness in fish. The cat section was not any better than the dog side of things. Normally I try to point out at least a few positives but in this location there was not any. I had only one employee ask me if I needed help purchasing fish. When I said no that I was only looking before making a choice but had some questions, their demeanor totally changed and was told that they didnt know anything about aquatics. They staff at the front of the store were not any better. Only customers with purchases got their attention. All things considered, PetCo would even be a better choice.

Grace took care of our old boy! He started out as a 90 lb golden retriever and after brushing hes like a puppy!

The people in the Auburn, CA grooming salon need training! I am furious and they just lost a good customer. I made grooming appointments for my two dogs and was told on the phone that my one dog was in their system and that I DID NOT need to bring records I only needed to bring vaccination records for our new puppy (which I brought). We drove 25 miles (one way) to take the pups to their appointment to be told that they cant groom the one in their system because her rabies shows expired less than a week ago. We told them she had her vaccine and her current rabies tag on her collar shows she is current!! They refused us service. Why would I vaccinate one dog and not the other??? They need to look at their system closer when booking appointments and give people correct information!!!

Our snake had MITES!We purchased a ball python from here and the employee was quite kind in her job of helping us get a starter kit together for our new little guy...but she was the only reason for this not being a 1 star rating.We were really new to this sort of thing, so we didnt know they existed until we saw the bugs crawling on him!We figured out how to treat the mites and it was moderately challenging. I understand the worker is not necessarily at fault for something like this, yet these mites can be of great health concern for snakes and can spread quickly within a population of reptiles.We got our snake patched up and Im glad he went to a home that dealt with the mites instead of a simple return or neglecting them.

We love how well they groom our dogs. We have a great Pyrenees thats all white (only after his grooming,lol) 160lbs, and they do an awesome job of getting him clean and combed! This is before (orange coat) and after.

Basic chain pet store. They have a decent selection of pet supplies at good prices. When I was there I was interested in a Ball Python and after wait about 15 minutes for the one employee to finish with a couple customers he was able to answer a few questions

Well stocked and clean store, but the most impressive part for me was the fish section. Much unlike the fish section in the pet store I had visited first in another town, you can visibly see the care these fish received. The Woman working the dept. took great pride in creating the best of conditions for EVEN THE FEEDER FISH as they are living creatures too and deserve the best quality of life I can give them she had said.It was so unbelievably wonderful to hear, and words cannot describe how beautiful this ladys heart is. I will absolutely be going here for all my pet related needs, even if its in a location a little bit out of my way.

I dont happen to go here for pet supplies myself. I volunteer at the Placer County Animal Services & sometimes am requested to check on the needs of the cats that are there for adoption.

Overall my experience was great the employees were very welcoming and kind and the lady that helped me was great and very informative when it came to my pet lizard she helped me get everything I needed to make sure that he has a comfortable home I highly recommend the store to others and I will definitely be returning very happy with my experience.

I took my Pomeranian into PetSmart yesterday for grooming and to get his undercoat thinned out. When we picked him up he was shaved!! His belly was raw and bloody and he was shaved down to the skin in several places. DO NOT bring your pet to this grooming facility. They are butchers!!!!

I was arriving at PetSmart with my little dog jefe to get his nails trimmed the technician said she would try to grinders nails I said he has never had them grown with a dramal so the technician clipped them and they do a good job there on dogs nails and only for 10 bucks it must have current rabies shot updated

Knowledgeable staff and great service

While this location has the most frightening entrance known to dog or man, (at least according to our fearless full size dog), the employees here are exceptionally polite and helpful. We have made numerous trips here and I dont believe that there has ever been a visit where we have not been asked by more than one employee if there was anything they could help us find. Great service by truly nice people. We are currently training our young dog at this location and highly recommend the trainer.

Great Groomer

Walked in with two dogs for nail trims. In and out in 15 minutes. Super service and nice staff too. Happy when things go the right way. Plus two happy dogs who no longer have tender toes.

That helped me off the floor when I was fitting my dog for a new harness and held his leash for me and then asked me if I was okay he did not leave until he was sure I was okay. Unless you dislike animals in cages, this place can absolutely fascinating place to visit for a happy feeling. So many gorgeous birds, reptiles, fish and other animals to gawk at! A large selection of toys and foods are also available, and flea and tick protection is sold here as well. The store also offers grooming services.

Went to volunteer for a dog adoption day from Placer County animal shelter, the puppies were adopted immediately together! So wonderful. They are great to hold adoptions there, and they have a friendly staff.

Great staff in grooming department. Had our dogs washed there nails trimmed they fit us in sameday. Couple of weeks later had our dogs groomed completely again same day service.

I Love the selection of almost every brand that is out there for your pet! Food, toys, medicine, bedding, etc. I am usually on a budget, so the lack of good specials brought it down a star, but their regular prices are fair. Friendly and helpful staff!

Adopted a kitten and the staff was very happy to help us right away. The process was easy and the staff shared lots of info about the care of our new kitten.

The service it great and they price match legitimate online pricing. This is a business that cares about retaining their customers!

I use PetSmarts grooming salon exclusively. I like the groomers? They are friendly and have a positive attitude. More than once Sammy has been referred to as she. Sammy, my 7.4 pound Chihuahua mix is a boy and can prove it. Not sure why there was a gender confusion. They groomed him. He didnt hide his male stuff.

Just walked around the store with my 3 year old daughter. They have a nice area for fish, reptiles, birds, and rodents. They also have a section to adopt cats. They also provide puppy training classes. My daughter and I loved seeing the animals but we did not make any purchase. The staff that we talked to were also nice.

Get my dog a bath today. Grace is awesome and gentle. My dog fell in a pond. She took my dog without an appointment. My dog came out nice and warm. She is happy.
