This is a hidden gem! Backs up to the interstate so it’s hard to see from Opdyke Rd. Very plain on the outside, but inside is beautiful! We did a little research and found that Sonesta purchased lots of Courtyard by Marriott. The lobby, our room and the pool area are recently remodeled.Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean with soft sheets and fluffy towels. Also, it was very soundproof. Didn’t hear cars or folks in the hall. Amazing blackout curtains, too. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. The pool was warm and super clean and towels were provided. The guys at the front desk were kind and helpful.The only slight disappointment was that breakfast was not provided because I’m sure it would have been fabulous, but COVID ruined that.

Not what I was expecting after a stay in Sonesta in Ann Arbor, Mi months back.No pen to make notes, no small not pad.Upon entry to room a paper to break seal indicating its clean.Cool that remote TV control in a plastic bag indicating it had been cleaned.Arrived late, wanted to watch tv..odd position of TV to bed: lay side to side to watch, or sit on coach.Up and out too early for their breakfast.Observed someone prepping area for food later.I should have asked for a cold brown bag breakfast item or 2 to go...but...didnt.Nor was such offered as I was turning in room keys, even a bottled water for road could have been friendly.

My power went out in Berkley so I needed somewhere to stay for the night. Perfect one night stay in greater Detroit. The staff is awesome!!! Especially the women that worked the desk... Sorry I cannot remember her name but mad kiddos. I will definitely come back whenever.

No continental breakfast or microwaves in the room, but they do have a small restaurant for extra money! For the money they are charging for each room, I am rather insulted that they are also making sure you pay extra for their food services! Not at all what I expected for hospitality. Also, not enough parking spaces, have to travel all the way around the building with your luggage (no cart available). Not worth a second consideration in my opinion...

Room was clean and nice but they overdraft my card by -$555 and said it’s nothing they could do 🙄 also their snacks cost way too much ! For a bag of chips, juice and candy is damn near $20! It’s no microwave in the room . Who wants to get up in the middle of the night and go downstairs to warm up so food 🥴 and for one night it’s like $127 plus a deposit!

When the wife kicked me out of the house for telling the neighbor she looked pretty in that red dress and cooking her steak past medium well - this was the hotel I went too. All in all I was pleasantly impressed. The hotel room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was accommodating. They also appeared to be in the midst of renovations which is going to be nice for future guests, not so much for me smelling the poopy fertilizer on my way to my car in the morning.

Front desk was not attentive upon arrival and departure had to wait no one was at the front desk they were in the office for an extended period of time. I like the setup of the suite with 2 bedrooms however the rooms were not clean, stains on the comforter, odor in the room and the hallways and surrounding areas were dirty.

In the past I had a couple of tough stays here as they had some old thermostats that never seemed to work right and made the rooms a tad uncomfortable. They REPLACED all of them, modern upgrades, still the same great place and if you need to stay somewhere during COVID-19 and need to trust it is clean, this is your place. I had a great 5 days visiting family safely and quietly

The lady at the front desk was so very nice but it is ridiculous that u dont have cable tv and couldnt get the air to go any colder than 65 degrees

We had a wonderful experience at the Courtyard Marriott. The staff was very friendly, the room was lovely and had a view of the cute courtyard area, the bed was large and plush with super comfortable pillows, everything was very clean and well stocked. We will definitely chose to stay there again in the future and would recommend them to our friends/family.

An excellent hotel! A wonderful pool although it was a little bit cold... The staff was amazing! We had a younger child with us, a crazy younger child, and they were completely friendly understanding and accommodating the entire time. The rooms were beautiful, very well cleaned and the food served at the facility was fair and very tasty! Highly recommended if youre in the area.

Ive stayed in this hotel two times the staff is ways friendly always looking to help and make your stay comfortable (Patty, Enrique) . The brakefast is good I just wish they added a couple more options. This goes the same for the bistro menu that would be awesome. The rooms are clean and comfortable, no complaint at all. Its got a nice gym and a pool.

Nice room. New shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. Liked the bottles and the new scents.

This Marriott has the kindest, most attentive, and most genuine staff that I have ever met. They were very conversational and polite, accommodating, and friendly. The rooms were clean and nice, the lobby nicely decorated and provides games to play with your friends and family. I would 10000% recommend it to anyone

This is an older property and the layout is very strange. The front lobby is newer and nice, but the rooms are old and drab. Access to rooms on the upper floors require you to drag your luggage up a staircase. The only elevator is located at the complete opposite end of the building. I might have rated it lower if it were not in a convenient location.

Ive stayed her for business and for personal. The hotel is clean and nice and the staff is very friendly. It is surprisingly quiet when you consider how close it is to the airport. I recommend it.

Stayed here while attending a concert at DTE ENERGY theater. Very clean, nice rooms. Pool is nice. I give it 4 stars because the layout is strange, you have to walk halfway around the building to find an elevator, and we got.lost a few times. Other than that it was very nice. The restaurant next door also had delicious food!

The location was just fine. The area seemed to be developing, so the rest was not much in the area yet. The suite I had was excellent. Everything felt very clean and updated. Very spacious. The service was amazing. Very prompt and accurate.

Stayed for two nights as part of a wedding party, and our group also reserved a conference room to get hair and makeup done the day of the wedding. Front desk staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Rooms were very clean and the housekeepers went above and beyond (washed my personal glassware!)!! The hotel provided us with a coffee and pastry service in the conference room (think it was paid for by mother of bride) and the staff was very attentive and helpful. The room also had a small balcony which was very cool.

The room we got was very spacious, clean with great room service. Enough space to work in your room. There is a swimming pool and gym and space in the main entrance to enjoy as you can relax in the sofas and watch TV if you like. Additionally they sell coffee and food (they have a menu). Great experience.

The reason for my stay was a wedding, so it was a very short trip. That being said, I was very pleased with the hotel. It was clean, cozy and spacious. The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect. Its just a quick shuttle ride to Pine Knob. Would definitely stay here again!

Pretty standard hotel. Not too new and certainly not too old and run down. It offers some decent amenities, but doesnt seem to go the extra mile. I got a suite, and was disappointed with its lack of added features to distinguish itself from a standard room. All the room featured was more space. No extra sinks, bigger bathroom,etc. If Id known that I would have booked a regular room and saved a hundred dollars.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic. They even opened breakfast early to accommodate our early tee time. Highly recommend this hotel!

Love the hotel. The staff wasnt very helpful though. We had 2 charges on our card before we were even supposed to be billed and instead of explaining or saying that they would resolve it they just said the charges would go away. It didnt give me very much confidence and because we are out of state I would prefer if it got resolved before we left instead of waiting for it to go away. The rooms themselves were nice and very clean. The parking was great and had many entrances so the rooms were accessible no matter where you park. It wasnt very busy when were there so hard to say about a few things. Theres a Starbucks right in the lobby so that was a plus for us. Pool was nice temperature and kept clean. Also hot tub was good. Couldnt hear anything from the hallway or nearby rooms. Beds were comfortable.

Bad place to stay! Stay away! The first room they gave us they put 4 of us in room with 1 king bed and we asked if we could have 2 double beds or 2 queen beds but that was clearly not an option at that time. When we got to the room it smelled like burning plastic and when we pulled out the couch it was all dirty and there was bed bugs! Thankfully, after a long time of arguing with the front desk they gave us a 2 queen room and Im not even going to start on how bad the beds are.

The people and manager were amazingly understanding of our situation and were incredibly helpful, they are wonderful.

Spending 2 nights here this time. I like the layout and amenities of Courtyards in general, especially the older design like this one. This hotel is showing its age a little, but thats to be expected. The staff have been excellent. Definitely on my list of where to stay when Im on business in the area.

The front desk heard we were in town from Texas for the birth of our grandchild and when we got back from visiting they had set up a blue balloon, personalized card and 2 coloring books for our 2 kids we had with us.The place is not only clean and well kept the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay special. Everything in the room was in perfect working order. I really appreciated that the bed was not located next to the heating/cooling unit and that there was a thermostat on the wall. That made for a very well regulated room temperature. The room was well kept and appointed. Check-in and check-out very efficient.

This is my favorite hotel. It is conveniently located. My room was big and the bed was comfortable. I slept very well and would definitely come back.

The hotel is a little off the beaten path. Taco Bell is the only thing within walking distance. The hotel has a beautiful pool area. There are only 2 floors so there is a long walk around the hotel to reach your room. The rooms have enough space and plenty of counter space. I would consider it for an extended stay if you have a car.

This was my second visit to this hotel. We love the lobby area. Very clean, good food and welcoming. The rooms are clean and the employees are very accommodating when you need anything. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and will go back

For the same price you can stay at other Marriott Hotel such as Residence Inn or a Towneplace and get a lot more for your buck.These hotel rooms dont have a microwave, or a safe. And there is no complimentary breakfast. So although its a nice hotel, if you were to stay at another branch again such as a Residence Inn, for about the same price you can get yourself a There is a restaurant in the lobby here at the courtyard kitchenette and a really nice complimentary breakfast. There is a restaurant in the lobby here at the Courtyard, which maybe why they dont give you a microwave or free breakfast. They want to spend money at the restaurant.There is no fire pit, even though their website says there is. The photos of the pool on Google maps is not this pool.Again, its a nice hotel but for the same price you can get a lot more at other Marriott chain hotels.

Our room was clean and ready for us. Was a bit small to move around if you were a larger size. My kids tried to interact with cleaning lady but didnt speak English. It deff needs a hot tub. The breakfast was good wish the sandwiches had a side besides 5 pieces of fruit. When the door broke they were right on it to fix.

My friend from out of country stayed here and they allowed me and my children to swim in the pool with him, which was very kind of them. Their amenities were very nice, and the inside of his room was very clean, bed and couch were very comfortable. I would recommend to anyone.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, but lack of help with baggage or luggage, very few services and decent wifi signal are some small drawbacks if I really had to be picky. A very nice and quiet place to 💤 sleep but kids smoking in the parking lot and running around late night show a clear sign no authority figures are present to help with problems.

We used a meeting room for a social event for the weekend. We were attended to and those of us that stayed enjoyed our time. Rooms were clean, shower was strong enough and love the larger pump soaps in the shower!!

The property was clean and well-maintained, and the staff was courteous and efficient. I have only two complaints. One was the air conditioning unit. It made a lot of noise when it was running, so my sleep was disrupted. The second issue was that housekeeping left two conditioners, but no shampoo - a fact I did not discover until I was already in the shower. Not a good surprise!

Outside isnt anything special, but a recently renovated courtyard inside. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. When we came in late at night, they remembered that we were in town to see a show at the palace and asked how it was.
