My grand son loves the garbage trucks even asked for a toy truck for Christmas got two and loves them and wants to drive a truck one day these two men not only showed him the truck but got out showed the lights and the hole truck he left telling everyone of his morning tks again you two for making his day

Its pretty hard to get the garbage from the bin into the truck. Almost weekly it winds up all over my yard. Dont use theese guys if you dont have to. Over priced as well

I called this company about special pickups several times today they keep sending me to the city of Pontiac I talked to them they send me to a voicemail saying special pickup is to be on the day of trash pickup. I have had my special pickup out for two weeks now I keep calling the (248) number that they have for Advance Deposal and a electronic system tells you to press a # for what area you are in and the person whom answered the phone say she’s in Wisconsin what kind of services is this. This is supposed to be our garage pickup then why are you giving me the run around. Other cities in Michigan don’t have to put up with this shabby service we should hire another service for the city of Pontiac

Be respectful. I have to provide my own recycling bin. No big deal but these careless garbage collectors are always throwing the bin around and breaking the lid, which is obviously necessary because we get rain and wind. Then you have to leave a message with the city to file a complaint?! Ridiculous.

We had a commercial account with smith/advanced for years. The call I had today with them about our final bill was so unprofessional and incredibly rude. Glad we switched companies to CMS. Much cheaper and nice people.

Been with them for a month and they have picked trash up maybe twice. Spoke with 6 different people and had 6 different prices and available services. I seriously cant wait for this quarter to be up. I dont expect an improvement when Waste Management takes over.

Called to continue service from the previous owners of my new home. 4x 30 minute holds. Finally talked with someone, said we are not setting up new service in your area. I said you were just here 2 days ago for the past owners, I just need it switched to my name. Nope. Cant help. Asked for supervisor. Put on hold 10 minutes, then disconnected. Called again today, finally got supervisor, explained that NO OTHER SERVICE is available in this area, tried them all. They didnt care, cant transfer as the account it close, not setting up new service. Unreal...

So mad with this company. I was a customer of Griffin Disposal and unfortunately I paid 12 month service fee in Nov 2016. In Jan 2017 I received a mail from Advanced Disposal regarding combined business with Griffin Disposal. As a customer, I think my paid contract should be taken care of with nothing changed. Whatever you want to do, increase price/change the service, please talk with me after current contract end. But, what happened is, in this summer, they cancelled yard waste service without informing me. I have to paid additional fee to drop off our yard waste. At the same time, I kept receiving bills from this company. I called them twice, nothing was changed. The third time, the lady told me : you have to pay the bills because you received the service. I said oh I didnt choose Advanced Disposal when I paid one year fee for service. She said: oh you can cancel our service if you dont like, it was a long time ago. But we wont give your money back even if you cancel the service because we dont have access to previous disposal company.Im so done with them, this is how they treat customers. If you dont know what is customer service, if you dont know the business between company and company shouldnt impact current customer, please dont do service business. So disappointed.

Consistently missed pick-ups. Trucks drive right through my neighborhood and dont bother to stop. Phone calls not returned, but they will lie to you and say they called and left messages - NOPE! When you finally talk to someone, they lie again about special pick-ups to get the missed trash but it never happens. Now owned by Waste Management but WM wont pick up their slack when they drive through on alternate days.

It is Impossible to reach anyone when you have a billing question and they tell you if your payment doesn’t go throw with the automated system it’s your problem not there’s! Terrible customer service! I have had nothing but issues with them for years.

I was a customer of Griffin Disposal when AD bought them out. So far I have no complaints. Every time Ive had to call them (to answer a question I had, not because of an issue) they have been helpful and friendly. I hope it continues to stay that way.

Horrible service, if you didnt have to leave a star I would not. We have been trying to get a recycling garbage can (big blue one - we know you have them we have seen them in our neighborhood) from Advance since May, 2019. They have dropped off another garbage can, as well as a small recycling bind - both which I dont need or want. Then they had the nerve to bill us for them, we have been trying to get them picked up since early June, not sure if they are stupid or what but here they are 60+ days later on our driveway.Additionally, no one will respond to our HOA who has the account with them for our neighborhood in Twin Lakes. The Account Rep keep saying she has to go to the district manager to get everything handled, waive the charges and get use the recycle can. This is crazy and their customer service is horrific, if you wont return the call please come pick up your can and bind, and credit my account. I would never recommend you or your company. In the time were everyone is trying to recycle - we have to beg your company for a can to do so. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM FOR SERVICE - THEY ARE THE WORST!

Would give no stars if possible. Set up my service three weeks ago and have yet to have my trash picked up on the scheduled day OR RECOVERY DAYS. Have had trash sit out for a week at a time every time. Have had to call three times each week. Have only had one refund and was told I will not be able to receive another refund even though I am not receiving services. All I get are empty promises. Have not received a recycling bin I asked for when I set up the service and have reminded them of it during each call. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I have no other options for another service provider because of my location.

Weve been very pleased since they took over from our previous trash collection company. I called the night before our scheduled pickup (10:00 PM) and requested a special pick up for a couch. I left a message not really expecting the couch to be picked up (they are here and gone by 7:00 AM). Sure enough, when we woke up the couch was gone.Thank you for your quick service!

Can’t give negative stars. My garbage pick up day is Thursday, it’s Saturday morning and my garbage is still sitting at the end of my driveway! Am I surprised? Absolutely not I’m used to it. Kind of an on going joke “what day will our garbage get picked up this week?” Beautiful weather this week so they can’t blame it on that this time. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If you are thinking about signing up with them DON’T!!!!

For some reason they keep skipping my location I call telling them that the situation they tell me that it wont be until 6 oclock but yet they close at 5 oclock so I have to wait till the following morning to tell them that still no one has picked up any garbage I request to speak to managers and supervisors, employee informs me that they will contact me I get no respond horrible service do not recommend this company for nobody

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!I cancelled my service before the end of 2014 - this included my old can being picked up. For some reason, over 2 weeks ago, a new can was dropped off. I called on Friday, 1/16/2015, to notify the company of the error. I was told it would take 3-5 business days...however, the can is still in my front yard. I have called twice since then and left customer service multiple messages. The can still remains. Also, it appears I received a bill today for $16.35. 2.5 weeks later...still NOTHING.What do I need to do to terminate my service, eliminate the charge on my account, and GET SOMEONE TO COME PICK UP THE GARBAGE CAN I DID NOT REQUEST?

The worst garbage collection company! After I called to set-up the service and I was misquoted both the cost and the collection day, the recycling bin was delivered a week later than stated (and required 2 follow-up phone calls). Then after setting up auto-pay, I was improperly billed for a service that couldnt be explained. After 4 weeks and multiple phone calls, the amount was finally refunded after two dates came and passed on when it was supposed to be corrected. Their customer service is horrible - agents that arent equipped to do their job and exhibit an attitude when you ask questions. Even though Waste Management is almost double the price, its not worth the hassle using Advance Disposal.

Theyve always picked up my garbage without fail and Ive lived here 13 years. However this year, they have rejected my annual payment 3 times. I even called and tried a new a local address, still rejected. They simply dont want to get paid I guess. They continue to pick up my garbage however.Update: I emailed their President and he got someone to fix it. Somehow my third payment went through. They blamed my bank, lol.

Do not use this company. Failed to pick up my yard waste on the day that it was specified. I called them the next day talks to a representative after being on hold for 50 minutes and he said he would put it in and have my bags picked up within 48 hours. Bags were still not picked up. called and talked to another representative who told me that the first person I talked to never put it into the system but they did have that I called And that they would not be able pick up my yard waste until the next scheduled pickup day.

First encounter was due to the Griffin disposal purchase (who I was a customer) and was double billed when they were trying to make my year service be paid out to end of calendar year which makes sense and happy to do it. Not a big deal and fixed after a call.Second encounter was bad. Did not pick up my trash and the driver said he did so they are giving me grief. We’ll see what happens but I really don’t see why there is so much trouble getting the service I paid for.

If I could give no stars I would. Very disappointing company. Griffin disposal combined with advanced disposal a little over a month ago. Just before they combined I paid griffin disposal for the months of January, February and march. Then, advanced disposal kept trying to tell me I still owed. I sent in a picture of the money coming out of my bank account, talked to numerous costumer service reps about it and all I got was the run around. Terrible company, terrible experience. I would never recommend them to anyone!

I didnt even want to give one star but I had to in order to comment. These drivers leave your trash on purpose and have the audacity to tell you that you have too much trash?? Then the head quarters doesnt make it any better they let the drivers do it. I hate this is my trash company I wish there was away to get a different trash company. My family is too big for us to sit with two week old trash it makes you furious I have diapers to change and lots of people to feed through the week its not just about the trash what about my family but this company just doesnt care! This is the second time theyve left my trash and they look right at it and keep driving.

I was with Smiths & was transferred to Advanced because smiths quit servicing our area. For over a month now, I’ve had problems with my trash and recycling not getting picked up. I have called and spoke with several people over the phone for times that I can actually get through, and they say they put in a request for it to be picked up the next day but it doesn’t get picked up until next week. The first time this happens about 4-5 weeks ago, it took them almost 3 weeks to pick up the trash. I have called, gone into the office and spoke with someone face to face, other times I call and I can get through I’m on hold literally all day. This is by far the WORST company I have ever seen, heard of or dealt with.

Had our cans out at 5:30am on Thursday. I watched as they took our garbage and not our neighbors. Noticed today they took our neighbors recycling and not ours! Our cans ae literally 10 feet from each other. Called today (Sat) of course they are closed 😡

If I could give no stars or negative I would. It is hit or miss if your garbage is picked up. Then without warning they cancelled yard waste puck up. Before it was even season to start putting yard waste out. Then without permission dropped off, one of their big cans at end of driveway. That we told them we didnt want a few times already. With no notice or call that they were going to. Im definitely looking for a better company than this, and will be telling them to pick up a un needed can.

Stay away. This company is so incompetent! We moved out of our commercial suite 8 months ago. i have sent certified letter to cancel, spoke to i dont know how many employees and i am still getting monthly bills, collection letters. I would never recommend this company!

First experience, they only picked up half my trash, then said that never happened. Second, they just completely left my trash at the end of my driveway. After a call to their office, I was told that they must have missed it, and that it was scheduled to be picked up the next day. After they didnt pick it up the next day, another called was made, and I was told that it was scheduled that day for pickup, and that I would be receiving a call to explain the situation. After it sat at the end of my driveway for yet another day. I was told that the driver said they didnt see the cans, (no trees, no bushes, no anything in my yard, just trash cans) and that his report said that it was picked up at 8:30 this morning. I just arrived home from work, and there the cans still sit, full of trash. Worst company ever. They are trash

Wish I could give negative stars, set up service on 3/29, they never picked up my garbage (called 5 separate times and was always told they would send missed pickup service within a day and never showed) on 4/25 I canceled service and was told I would recieve a refund and they would pickup their bins in 7-10 business days. On 5/13 called and was told the person that filed my request to cancel service didnt submit the correct paperwork. Still no resolution. Absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

I’ve been with this company for four months since switching from WM. I didn’t receive service for the first month! I had to call 5 times to get a recycling bin delivered... They are terrible at their job. They miss pickups, leave trash by my bin on the ground, and don’t give you any guidance as to why... don’t use them!!!

This disposal company is just that -TRASH.My garbage pick up has been skipped over now for 4 consecutive weeks. Each time I call and they say somebody will be out within 48 hours. As a customer, I shouldn’t have to call and remind you weekly to do your job. What an eyesore to have garbage out for days on end. The 4th week I asked to speak with a supervisor. He was supposedly busy and was going to call me back. Still waiting for that call...switching companies ASAP. Worst customer service.

Representatives were helpful and nice but management and the company are absolutely horrible! They were unable to pick up our dumpster on our scheduled date. I have called them everyday, multiple times for a week and they promised each day someone will come out to empty the dumpster. At one point after calling for 4 days they swore someone would be out and if they werent out by 4:30 that day to call back. I called back at 4:30 and they flat out told me the driver went home so they would not be able to empty the dumpster, even know they said the driver is suppose to run until 5. Unacceptable, I dont know how they are still in business. I also left messages and the staff sent emails to management and no one has yet to reach out to me. Their supposed manager Eric was never in the office or available. Their dispatch driver are also never available and are always behind schedule and have no ETA ever. Jason, Bonnie, Tony, Cynthia, and Wanitta, thank you for all your help and patience. I am sorry you work for such a crappy company. Long story short after a week we are now back to our regular pickup day and still no one has showed up to empty the dumpster. HORRIBLE COMPANY! DO NOT USE THEM!

Put a TV stand out front they drop the glass all over the sidewalk and then just left it there. Customer service told me that I should have put a piece of tape on it to let them know that the glass was glass. What a joke so u unprofessional!

Horrible company. Not only do they miss several pick ups, but they still charge you for them. Meanwhile I have to pile garbage up in my building because my dumpster is overflowing until they decide to come around and do the job they are paid to. Customer service is terrible. Ive called and filled out their customer service forms online for the past 3 weeks and not one person from their company has contacted me. Its been 3 weeks since I cancelled service and they still have not removed their dumpster from my property.

Worst garbage company out there, I do not reccomend them whatsoever. They contantly miss our pickups, then when you call they want to act like its your fault and try to get smart with you. They play phone games with you if u call after 430, they kept hanging up on me. The billing is horrible because they cant stay on a scheduled billing when its supposed to be quarterly, I seem to get bills in between for fees. Looking for a new company asap!
