I rented a property managed by Sovereign Realty & Management for three years. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and portal technology were excellent, far exceeding my expectations as a new renter. Their associates seemed to genuinely care when there was a maintenance issue and worked hard to get the issue resolved quickly and painlessly. Their portal made it easy to log a ticket and see updates. I recommend renting properties that are managed by Sovereign.

Just called this company regarding a property. I was scheduled to view a property yesterday (Monday, June 8th) and it was rescheduled until today and the Thursday. I planned my schedule around the showing multiple times. There is little regard for people who planned to view your property. Yes I understand someone has been approved and you have 8 applicants but you dont value potential customers time.The person that I spoke to was extremely rude. Theres no way that I will ever use this company.I encourage you to read the 1 star reviews. Its definitely a reason that they are there.

If I could but zero stars I would. The 1 star is towards their unprofessionalism. They also continue to say I owed to a landlord even though I showed proof that I paid my balance 3 years ago. They even stated they accepted that paperwork. So I’m not really sure why they repeatedly have brought it up by email 3 times and on here? It’s like they want to continue being rude, and arguing with somebody.. but of course they’re going to keep it short online. :) Cute.

I have been renting a home with Sovereign for almost 2 years now. I must say that Sovereign get 100stars. They are very professional and prompt when dealing with my maintenance requests. I look forward to continued rental with them. Kudos to John and Jenny...you guys rock!!!

Whoever the lady is Jenny or Jennifer with the Caribbean accent is very rude I called to inquire about a property only to be yelled at and hung up on. After this treatment I dont want to rent from this company at all. There is absolutely NO REASON TO BE NASTY AND RUDE... I also will be leaving a review with BBB & HUD about this matter as well. I dont know who owns this company but the owner needs to hire someone who cares about future clients because she doesnt....

John was a consummate professional and resource throughout my home buying journey. As it was my second purchase, his knowledge of the current Atlanta landscape and constant communication, kept my anxiety at bay. If you want a realtor that will conduct business as a professional, but has the emotional intelligence to handle the tumultuous parts of the purchase process like a friend, definitely reach out to John! He is not just invested in the commission. He really wants his clients to get the property that best suits them.

Their communications are prompt and professional. I really appreciate the immediate attention given to our tenants and letting us know of any concerns. Their advice is of excellent quality and the personnel working in the office are extremely helpful.

Karen has been very responsive and informative throughout my application process. I have been trying to find a house for the past 3 months and other companies have been efficient but not as professional or informative about their own properties ! If you are working with this company please respect the process because it is definitely worth the wait ( if any ) and outcome. Sovereign has managed our property for a few years. Because we live in another state, a reputable company is essential.They have proven to be that. Our property is family held. We had Numerous problems with tenants. It was a nightmare! Through all that John, Jenny helped us. We so appreciate John Queen for all the “hand holding” ( long distance mind you) that got us over each hurdle. Who ever chooses them as their manager will be thoroughly pleased.

This company moves very fast. I put in the application last night, and they started working on it this morning. Very fast responses. If you have questions, you can get in contact with someone immediately. They are real, no scam, very responsive, and move fast!

I lived at a home managed by Sovereign for 2 years. I enjoyed the house and loved working with Sovereign. Jenny Hamilton was the most kind, thoughtful, and easy person to work with. She followed up on every request, checked-in randomly when we hadnt talked in a while and always made sure all maintenance request were handle with ease and professionalism by their vendors. You just couldnt ask for someone better! I have since purchased my own home and still speak to Jenny with life updates, like the birth my our baby boy! If you are looking for a reliable, reasonable, and well kept place to live, I had a wonderful experience at Sovereign. The team at Sovereign Realty is by far the best real estate management company Ive worked with. Jenny, Karen. John and the rest of the team treat my properties like its their own. It is hard to balance the Landlord/Tenant dynamics but Sovereign does it well and both parties are always satisfied. Rented a place managed by these guys for 3 years. Always prompt at responding to maintenance requests and other concerns, which is basically all you want as a tenant. Everything happens online: rent payment, maintenance requests, move out documents, so it’s fairly organized and there are records of everything for peace of mind.The only problems I ever really had were technical snafus because if this, like the email associated with our account getting switched or when I moved out the charges against my deposit showed up as money I owed in payment, I felt it was ultimately worth it for the convenience of everything being online.

Sovereign has consistently done a fantastic job managing my rental property. Never vacant for more than a few weeks between tenants and always responsive to my needs and needs of the tenant! Jenny has always been up to date on the day to day operations and specific needs of my property!

Sovereign Realty & Management has handled my rentals since 2016 and Karen H. handled the sale of a duplex a couple of years ago. I am very pleased with every transaction Sovereign has managed for me. Sovereign Realty did an excellent job of managing my property. Karen and John were very professional throughout the entire process. They did proper background checks on the tenanats, and also made sure the tenants were happy once they moved in. They were quick to respond to any issues, and their online portal made communication very efficient. If youre looking to rent your property, I definitely suggest using them!

Poor follow-up

Whoever answers the phone with the Caribbean accent has a terrible attitude and telephone reception skills. After speaking with her to inquire about leasing a property, I have been left with a bad impression due to her lack of patience with questions and obvious irritation. I just decided to hang up and look elsewhere.UPDATE: Regarding your reply, I am very familiar with her accent as I am too from the West Indies -- Jamaica specifically. A persons dialect does not negate the fact that they have a nasty phone attitude and that they come off in a very rude manner especially to someone who was being kind. I am not going to ask for management when I expect for you guys to train or properly coach your staff on how they should be speaking to callers. Not once was I directed to the website as you insinuated. Instead of apologizing for the mistakes of your staff, I notice that you guys have a tendency to make excuses and then reshift the blame back to the person who is reviewing your company. Nice try but also a fail.

I was contracted by Sovereign to provide various marketing material. Sovereign is extremely professional and their attention to the smallest details is quite amazing. I have noticed the For Rent / For Sale signs all over town that we designed together. This has been an amazing company to have a vendor relationship with.

I called to inquiry about some properties and spoke with someone by the name of John Queen. John has been nothing less than a pleasure to work with. As we all know the purchasing process can be very overwhelming and Mr. Queen has been very patient, knowledgeable and even asked the appropriate probing questions to expedite the process and to ensure he exceeded my expectations. I can’t thank Mr. Queen enough for his assistance and I look forward to working with him on other business ventures.

Nothing good to say!! I called expressing interest in a property in the man that answer the phone would not answer my question and told me to go to a website!! I was already on the phone with him why couldnt he just tell me then suggest the website? When I called back because I couldnt find the info on the website he rambled through the qualification with a attitude like he didnt want to answer them. Idk what his job is but it shouldnt be answering the phone he is the first impression I had a company and it was bad. Now I no longer wish to rent from this company.

I have been renting through sovereign realty for 2 years now. they tried to take me to court over unlawful late fees and it failed the judge threw them out and now theyve been harassing us and coming to do inspection every week or every two weeks. Theyre a joke. A bunch of white slum lords. The ceiling is leaking, the house floods when it rains, pipes are faulty and always bursting, wiring is faulty, all the toilets and light switches in bathroom has broken. And when I asked to speak to head of management they told me I dont have the right to speak to the head of office and I cant have the number for head of management and I have no right to speak to them. I suggest people run from these leeches. I suggest you run from this office. The only nice one is the cute Asian one that always wears baggy jeans and sweatshirts. dont waste your time with these people

Had a bad experience when they missed an appt, but they followed up and were very thorough and apologetic, so that made up for the experience.

BUYER/TENANTS BE AWARE..THEY COLLECT TOO MANY FEES. DIRTY RENTALS W/ HIGH RATE. JOHN GUY IS NOT FRIENDLY & IS PUTTING MONEY IN HIS OWN POCKET. HE DOESNT RETURN CALLS EITHER! LOOK ELSEWHERE...NOT TRUSTWORTHY!
