About a year and a half ago while I was scrolling through Instagram I came across Jassey’s post about how it’s the best time to buy a home. I hadn’t spoke to or seen Jassey in years but I decided to reach out. After talking to her on the phone I finally built the courage to meet up with her and her then fiancé (now husband), Andrew. I was worried and had so many questions: was this a waste of time? Was it worth it? Are they the right people? Am I making enough? Am I even fit to be a homeowner? Unfortunately, we were hit with unforeseen circumstances and we had to pull out of the deal. Did that deter them? No! They were very understanding and stayed in my corner. They said let’s go back and start saving up again. During this time every time I saved up money I got set back by more issues that came up. This continued on for several months.Fast forward a year, I reached out to them and I ended up telling them that I still want a house but it’s like I was stuck. We met up and we came up with a new plan. It felt bulletproof. After a few days I gave her my list of houses and that weekend we went out to see them.
