Incredibly trustworthy, reliable, competent, customer oriented and fair!!! When I finally got my car towed to this location I was at my wits end. I was frustrated w having had a day and a half of road side assistance companies treating me terribly. When I got to Pep Boys is when my luck changed. Elizabeth met me at the door like a ray of sunshine. She assured me they would be able to get my issue taken care of. Elizabeth got me checked in quickly and put me at ease so I could go home for the night. The next day I called and because I was driving I disconnected while on hold. To my great surprise and pleasure Danny called back! How rare it is to have someone take the initiative to return a disconnected call. I knew right then I had found the right place. Danny explained what needed to be done expertly and transparently. He worked hard to make sure I understood what I needed and helped me find the option that worked best for me monetarily (again very rare). From there Bradley went to work on my issue. He checked with me several times when I stopped by to see how things were going with a thumbs up or a nod if his head to let me know things were going as planned. I can not recommend this Pep Boys location enough. I am a person (like many) who has been affected by Covid and was dreading any extra out of pocket expense. Danny, Elizabeth and Bradley eased my anxiety so I felt better about what needed to be done. If you need car maintenance this is the place you wont to go. Danny, Elizabeth and Bradley worked as a team to own the issue of finding a solution to my problem. I could not be happier as a customer and can not say enough about how happy I am that my day and a half of disappointment ended when I walked in the doors at Pep Boys. Bought tires with them two months ago and a tire started losing air every once week or so. Made an appointment the night before for 9am and they were ready at my appointment time. They had me done in no time, explaining things very professionally and with kindness. Best part- the service was included in the tire purchase! Grateful for this team.

My experience here has been awesome!! I usually don’t write reviews, but after getting a suspect inspection from another place in buckhead I came here. The woman at the front was so helpful and friendly! The staff was committed to make sure everything was communicated as the process went along and also correct some reports of needing new brakes and rotars which I didn’t actually need. Their system of text links to see your progress and ETA of repairs done was so easy and the first time I have ever had a painless and quick car repair! I would highly suggest Danny and their team!! Horrible, I had my brakes done a few weeks ago and it has been making a siren noise I took it back and lord the guy who said he is the manager was very selectively rude and disrespectfully to me. after I paid $600.00 to replace my brakes the way he dealt with me is too say he is not doing anything.,. He claims it not making any noises I have it on video that in its making that 🚨 sound. Be very carefull when going there for anything big... warning ⚠️⚠️⚠️

Good tech. But incompetent and what seemed like a lack of care from the woman at the front desk. Customer service woman completely ignored my vehicle requests and had me wait over 4 hours for a wheel alignment that could of taken 15 minutes starting at 9am with a appointment. As well as pushing other services on me and emphasizing these were priority when they were not(anything for a sale)! Again good techs but poor customer service from my experience. Will a different location!

I think this is all you need to know: after expressing that I felt we got the bait and switch after a price hike following what turned out to be deep discounts on our first purchase, the store manager became quite condescending and defensive when I tried to ask him about the charges on my quote. He eventually refused to sell me a second tire after I asked him to please stop interrupting me, change his tone, and allow me - the prospective customer - to get a word in edgewise and finish a sentence before being interrupted. This prospective customer took her business elsewhere, leaving a warranty on a tire behind. We thought we had finally found a reliable mechanic.

I have been going to this Pep Boys since I had my first car which was a Chevy Colbalt I had during high school into my first couple of years of college. Danny and Beau helped me and they have been great ever since. That was back in 2013 to like 2017. I moved back to the area and I have a new car, but both Danny and Beau both still recognized me and gave me great service on my 2016 Jeep Cherokee. This isn’t the auto shop that gives you the run around or makes you spend unnecessary money. They take in my needs and recommend to me what best suits my cars needs now and in the foreseeable future. I come to them because I trust them. I also know with techs like Shawn this shop is great hands. I always recommend Pep Boys, but I specifically recommend THIS Pep Boys. Thank you as all well.

Excellent service. One store was unable to accommodate me, yet found another one close by to do so very quickly. They honored all of my warranty items, and my brakes and alignment were done top notch. All of the staff members at both the Buford Hwy and Peachtree Road stores were highly motivated and professional. I was extremely impressed, and recommend this establishment to others.

Bad experience. I went to this pep boys because it was so close to my house, and I needed an oil change. Did a check of all 4 tires before I left to see if I should ask for a tire rotation as well, all 4 in good condition with light wear: what I would expect since I got brand new tires about 10,000 miles ago. Later got a call saying that my front tire was worn out with no tread left, along with other services they want to do. I was weirded out that they quoted so much, so I denied the services and wanted to get my car back. When I walked to my car, my front tires had magically became worn out. This felt very very strange.Gave one star because they were professional and polite, but regardless if this was mistake or not, I would never go back and can not recommend them

The staff at this Pep Boys is so awesome! They always go above and beyond to help my fiancé and I out. Weve been going to this specific location now for a few years. Came here for a quick oil change as I didn’t want to do it myself this time. The website says to allow up to 60 min for the work, but they took two hours. I replaced the break pads about 2,000 miles prior to my visit here and they told me I was “in the yellow zone” of wear for them and should get them replaced. I checked when I got home and that was not true at all. I also rotated my tires and corrected my alignment at the same time that I did the brakes, yet they told me the car was out of alignment and the tires needed to be replaced... overall I was not impressed and wouldn’t recommend this location.

Not a single employee or customer had a mask on at this location. I understand that it is up to businesses whether or not they enforce wearing masks, but I was surprised to see this in Atlanta especially among the employees. If you are going to be interacting with customers during this time, you should wear a mask for the safety of others. I ended up not needing services at this location and was relieved this was the case so I didn’t have to sit and wait in a confined space being the only person wearing a mask.

Staff was super knowledgeable and provide amazing advice. Most mechanic shops try to get every penny out of you but that is not the case here. The guys at Pep Boys in Brookhaven really took care of me. Will be taking my car back here every time in the future.

Dan the manager and his team took care of me after I had some bad experiences at a dealership. They will actually show you and educate you on what is going on with your vehicle.

We brought our van to this location due to a failure of the brake pads that were installed by another Pep Boys shop. I just want to say that the level of professionalism and communication from this shop is top notch. Daniel and his team went above and beyond what I was expecting from a Pep Boys shop. We will use this shop again in the future.

I took my car here a few months ago for a new battery and 2 new tires, I felt the prices were very good for this. I recently took my car here as my break pad light came on. They told me I need break pads and rotors on all 4 tires. I did not think I needed all 4 so I got another option, the place I ended up using said my back ones were at 90% so they were not sure why I was told they needed to be replaced.

Its a mechanic place. Whats there to say?

I had one bad experience where they lost my tire lock here and significantly delayed giving me back my car. Also, I was really just lucky to find out they lost the lock because they only informed me about it after my second visit to fix something else in my car. On another occasion, I waited for five minutes without anyone attending me. No one even greeted me. Ignored, I left because I felt that they did not want my business. I would recommend the pep boys location on Hammond drive even though it is further away. They are very attentive and I never had to wait more than a few minutes to be assisted.

The worst encounter Ive had in decades. The dark haired guy with a beard wore no mask. He acted like he couldnt be bothered with me and more concerned about smoking his next cigarette. He absolutely exploded on me when I sat in their lounge. I took my key and left. I would give zero stars, but it wont allow comments.

Was out of town on a day trip and our tire blew out called pep boys and Danny help us get our tire replaced and back on our way thanks for the help and great service

Last week (11/18) I made an appointment online for today (11/24) to get a new battery installed and to pick up some spark plugs. I get to the shop, on Peachtree Rd. in Atlanta, on time for my appointment, and am told that they do not have my parts. They have the order and the appointment, but no parts. The manager blamed it on the internet and said that there was nothing he could do. He said that there is no connection between the corporate internet site and the shop. How is this possible? What kind of business are you running? Its 2020 and I cant order on the internet??? I had to move around my entire week, and waste an afternoon, all for nothing. This is completely unacceptable. Very disappointed.

I got the battery for my Mercedes changed this morning. The price was much cheaper than I was quoted at a previous pep boys, and the installation time was half of what the other location quoted. I was very pleased!

Disinterested, Distracted, not helpful and hung up on me.

This Pep boys in Buckhead it’s the Worst. They stated that they would order a part for me 3 weeks ago. I’ve called 6 times and no one returns my calls. They’ll put you on hold and never come back to the phone. Why tell lies? If you’re gonna tell someone that you are going to do something and call with the price and estimate.. Do that. Danny was nonchalant and rude. I’ve been going to Pep boys for many years spending my money. Never again. Take your business elsewhere.

The guys at the desk are great and the technician been here twice and they got me in and out great work.

I want to highlight the work-ethic and the professionalism of Elisabeth H, the second manager, and the explanations of one of the mechanics (Bob). Today, they made me feel valued and heard as a costumer. I could complain about the arrogance and opportunism of the store manager, Daniel Alcántara. He didn’t explain me clearly all he was trying to sell me, perhaps unnecessarily. People is more important than money.

Was able to bring in my vehicle and get my head and tail lights replaced in no time!

If I had an option to give 0 star, I would give zero. This was one of the worst experience I have ever experienced in my life. My car stopped on the middle of highway and I towrd to my car to this store. When I reached there, they said it might either be battery, starter or alternator. Then they said me we need new battery to test your alternator as you battery is very low to test it. I asked them, dont you have a spare battery to test it, they said we dont have that policy. I had no option than to change the battery for $170. 5 minutes after changing the battery they said me that, your battery is good, alternator is good, starter is good. I think theres something wrong with the engine. Then they said it will cost $89 to test it. I had to do that too. And after everything they said the engine is gone. We cannot repair it. I asked them how did you know, can you give me readings for cylinder test. They said no we could not test that. Then I asked could you please take the new battery back as I dont need it. They said no. I finally had to sell the car as scrap from their garage. This is the worst experience I have ever experienced. I request everyone to be far far away from these guys.

Great people! I ran by there to get a brake light that had gone out and got me pulled over twice in less than a day. I really had no clue what I was doing. I honestly thought- Great, this is going to be some part they are going to have to order that will cost a lot. Less than 5 minutes later the guy said- you are ready. I went in to pay and... the lady at the register said- Dont worry about it -I couldnt believe it. I will be back at this place for any work that my car needs! Thats above and beyond- and it is appreciated!

I came in with a dead battery and couldn’t shut the car off my battery was so far gone. Not only was I accommodated as I came in unscheduled, I was taken care of right away. My car was Done before the time they told me, Which has never happened to me at any car place, Joe took care of me with a smile and was friendly and helpful!

Amazing customer service. It is my first car and I am starting to learn everything I need and how my car parts should be; having said that, they showed me every change that had to be made into my car and explained thoroughly. They have an amazing staff that knows what they are doing and have great working attitude.

My 08 Lexus LS460 would not start and I knew it was an old battery issue. I basically had one chance to jump off the battery, and take it straight to a shop to get help. Since I live close by I took it to this Pep Boys, and it was 7pm (when they close). Without hesitation they offered to do a diagnostic check on my battery, and once they did they clearly explained why my battery needed replacing. Since I already knew that was probably the issue, I knew they were being truthful. They quickly replaced my battery, and were incredibly nice to stay late for me. 100% recommend these guys and Im glad to find a shop like this so close by.

After a less than excellent experience without an appointment at another store, Danny and Q turned my afternoon around! My car battery had died and I needed to get to work. They tested my battery to make sure it was the problem, hooked me up with a new one, filled my tires, found a nail, and patched the hole in the smoothest transaction I’ve ever had at any auto service location! Excellent customer service from super nice people doing high quality work. I highly recommend this location for all your car care needs!!

UPDATEAlthough it was hard to make contact initially. The management at Pep Boys was very polite and acted in good faith to correct my problem. The regional manager was involved and the local Manager Ricardo both assisted. Ricardo (after reviewing the documents I provided) immediately offered to remedied the situation. If youre having a problem, stay patient and get in contact with the right people.They acted honorably in my case.After speaking with the local Manager and also the regional manager, they were helpful and agreed to workout a resolution with me. Both were very helpful once I got into contact with them.The Howell Road location installed the wrong battery in my car, cost me 450.00 at Jim Ellis Hyundai because of the damages they caused. Elizabeth was nice and helpful but I WOULD NEVER TRUST PEP BOYS AGAIN. NEVER!!!!

Service was friendly. Put the wrong kind of oil in my car though. Says 0W20 on the cap, but the service sticker showed 5W20 was used instead. I understand that on some cars, those are interchangeable, but I didnt get a heads up that thats what they were going to do before servicing my car. Definitely noticeable when my mileage tanked and engine was struggled after 2,000 miles from service.

I understand that they may be understaffed and overworked with covid. When I schedule an appointment I should be seen at that time, not an hour and half after thr appointment time.

I typically try to do the majority of repairs myself because I dont trust any repair shops. Until now that is. My sons car had a leak in the rear brakes, and with the weather being hot and not having the time, I had him drop it off at this location given all of the positive reviews. They called me shortly after saying that the car was ready and I didnt owe anything. They found that the bleeder valve was loose, so they tightened it and tested. If they would have said that it needed a new cylinder I would have believed them and it could have been about $300 for the repair. Being honest and fair will win my business every time. I wont hesitate to bring any of my cars here in the future. Keep up the honesty and your customers will keep up the good reviews. Thank you!!!

Took my car (02 Honda Civic) when an engine light was on. They ended up replacing the thermostat with an after market part. Came back less than a month later when the light came on for the same problem - engine light with thermostat code. They ended up replacing the thermostat for free since the labor was under the warranty I apparently paid $35 for without realizing it. When the engine light came on AGAIN 3 days later, they suggested I would need to replace the computer... for around $1500.It ended up taking it to my home town mechanic over an hour away for a second opinion. He wouldnt touch it and was SHOCKED Pep Boys would even suggest that they could replace the computer. After his suggestion, I took it to the dealer, where for a mere $150 (not the $1500 that Pep Boys quoted to replace the whole system) they were able to do a software update. They did warn, if the engine came on again they would need to replace the after market thermostat (again, the one Pep Boys installed twice) with a dealer part, but the computer is in working order.This leads to today, less than two months after my first visit to Pep Boys, where I am back at the dealer having to replace the after market thermostat. Congratulations Pep Boys. In spite of the fact that I live across the street from you, I will now be a lifetime customer of the dealer where I have gotten nothing except great service and competitive prices.

I brought my car in and spoke with the manager who was working. As a young female, he could tell I knew nothing about cars. He purposely up charged me $600+ because he knew he could get away with it... I brought my car to a few places to see what the normal price of my repair should be. This is the only place that up charged me. Shame on them.

I’ve been to this pep boys twice in the past week - once to get an oil change and once to get a leak in my tire patched. Both times I’ve been greeted with exceptional customer service. The people who work here are extremely friendly and made coming to get work done on my car a great experience.When i got my oil changed, i did not even have to ask to use the coupon i had found online, the guy ringing me up automatically said he was going to use it which i thought was nice. He was looking out for me to get the lowest price. In addition, i had gone to two other places before this to try to get my oil changed and at both other places men made creepy comments to me, and it made me uncomfortable. This did not happen at Pep Boys. My oil change took about 45 mins.Next, i came to get my tire looked at and i am not exaggerating when i say that they came outside to look at my tire the minute i got there. No waiting. Then it took maybe 5-10 minutes for them to patch it up for FREE. Where other places I’m sure charge you at least $20. I think that’s a great business model to keep customers and it is sure to earn my business in the future

Called 15minutes before closing for a headlight repair. Although I was quoted the wrong price over the phone, the staff welcomed me in with no hesitation to fix my immediate need. Extremely impressed with this location. Danny, the store manager, places the customer first and was extremely helpful when I came to the store. I was in a rush and my tire was going flat. He dropped everything that he was doing and fixed my tire immediately and then checked the pressure in all of the other ties and then sent me on my way free of charge. Great guy and great experience.

I called this location today around 5:40pm addressing my concern about my vehicle. Lia listened and took the time to assist me and then invited me in to see if they could help me.When I arrived at approximately 6pm I met Lia then I was immediately introduced to Beau who literally handled my problem right away. It was about an hour before closing and Beau fixed my issue within 15min!! My car needed new tires. The shop manager Daniel explained exactly what would be done, what was needed and quoted the time needed for completion and total price. After completing the work he took the time to explain the wear pattern came from my suspension. He offered solutions and estimates. My work was done on time and exactly as quoted. The shop and waiting room were clean and they have WiFi. I appreciate the professionalism and competence.

Danny and his team are truly life savers. I called them at about 6:55pm on Saturday, October 13th. Knowing they close at 7pm. I asked Danny if he could help me get my busted tire off and place the spare on for me until I could come in and get new tires he told me to come on in and he’d take care of me. Extremely nice and professional and is the location I will go to get my car serviced from now on. Thanks Danny and your team.

These guys are classy! They turned a fiasco into a positive experience.I had a mystery car problem having to do sensors and emissions. The guys here tried everything they could think of to fix it, but in the end they just couldnt help me.Instead of leading me on, they told me what to say to the dealership and turned an increasingly stressful experience into a positive one.Even though they couldnt help me this time, I will certainly try them again because I know they are honest. That is much appreciated in this day and age.

The guys at this location work well together. They deliver your vehicle back when they say they will, too. This Pep Boys is better managed than the one on JCB, for sure. I took my truck in for an oil change, they matched a competitors coupon price, and did such a good job, that I made an appointment to bring it back in a few days to get the tires rotated and balanced. I am very pleased with the staff here. I will be back!

Great service on a short timeline. (New Battery)On the way home from a road trip, I called ahead in need of a new battery. They informed me of available batteries and helped me compare options over the phone. The manager (Dana?) was very helpful with purchasing online ahead of time (20% discount). I got to their store at 6:45- right before they closed - and they immediately said they would help. I worked with Danny and Beau and they could not have been nicer. They were able to patch my tire and explained to me how to watch to make sure it would hold. I cant recommend this store enough and make sure you ask for Danny or Beau. Great service, exceptional customer service!!

I completely recommend this location! Super accomodating and friendly. I must have called them 10+ times with questions and check ins. Everytime they gave me the answers I needed and peace of mind. I was told to order the tire I wanted online since none of the shops around me had it in stock (tire I needed was very specific). Once that was delivered to Pep Boys, they installed it and had it balanced. Had all the wheels checked and balanced and all done in under an hour. You guys are awesome! Big thanks to Beau and Danny.

My fiancé and I just moved into the area and we both had serious troubles with our cars. The manager, Danny, was incredibly responsive, attentive and realistic when handling our maintenance needs. There was a long wait between changing the 1st and second car. Car sat in the bay for long time after finally completed.

Had an oil cap come loose after an oil change from another service provider and all oil drained out on my garage floor. Very dangerous! Pep boys took care of it, let car run for an hour to make sure no other issue, and replaced all the oil! No charge! Amazing service. Store Manager Daniel Alcantara was great to deal with and no issues! Very blessed, wry thankful. Thank you Pep Boys!

Made an appointment for after work. I had plans scheduled for after that. When I arrived, the guy says yeah were too busy now. I would have told you but you booked online so you didnt call. What? I have an appointment. Thats not how this works. He offered to get me in, but I opted to leave. Im selective about who I let work on my car, and this was a red flag.

$100 to get my oil changed because I have a v6 and it takes 5.8 quarts of oil. Thats an absolute scam. Will not be back.

These guys are great. Every time I bring my car there, they are so willing to help out, often times not charging me for services that other shops would be happy to charge for. They are busy, so make an appointment if you can. But couldnt recommend them more. Honest and generous group of people.

Absolutely DO NOT take your car here unless you want to leave with it in worse shape than before you took it in. I went to get my car looked at and they couldnt even figure out what was wrong with it. In addition, my antenna was completely destroyed and hanging on by a string when I exited. When I called to complain they informed me that there was no proof it happened when I was there. I asked to look at the cameras and they stated that they had none where my car was (my car was parked in front of their shop in the parking lot and also taken into the service center). Use their service at your own risk.

Came in when I saw a coolant low alert on my dash. Within minutes they poured in coolant, showed me how to do it for future, and then said no charge. Both men were very courteous, I just didnt get their names. I would recommend this location without hesitation.

This is a very belated review but I had to remind myself to leave one.On Labor Day, the tire pressure warning on my car turned on as I headed out that day. Most places were either closed and I didn’t want to just stop at an air pump that requires change that I don’t have nor let me know if I have a more serious problem.Luckily, Pep Boys was on my route and close by. The person on duty was very courteous and jovial, rare when people have to work on a holiday. He immediately checked my tire pressure, filled up any tire that was low, and even tried to see if there’s any object stuck in any of them. The entire time, he was extremely nice, funny, and informative. On top of it all, this service was free.

Very slow, always booked, and never really fixes the issue. I thought pep boys were a reputable business but it turns out that is certainly not the case.

The customer service at the place is top notch. I stopped by because I needed help removing my expiring out of state license plates so I can replace it with the new one. The screws were rusty and stripped so it was impossible to remove it alone. I had two of their employees work on it using different tools and techniques until it was finally removed. And when I tried to pay, they said it was on the house. I will definitely come back when I need repairs or tires. Thank you!
