I would give OPI Imaging 10 Stars if that was an option! I was told by my Doctor that I needed a MRI but when I went to schedule it at the hospital they told me it would cost over $2,000 out of pocket, after applying my insurance!! I was referred to OPI Imaging who has a great reputation and can offer more affordable options for the same, if not better level of service! I was pretty nervous to have a MRI and OPI Imaging made the whole process so pleasant and easy for me. From scheduling my appointment with their friendly associate Jessica to Checking-in and out at the front counter with tbe helpful Sarah, Raven and Cynthia who answered all my many questions, I enjoyed my whole experience there and would recommend having your MRI performed there as opposed to anywhere else! The main highlight of my time at OPI Imaging was with my radiologist Didi. She made me feel so comfortable and at home and talked me through the entire process while she was conducting my MRI. She let me chose my favorite type of music and gave me some nice headphones to listen to while the MRI was taking place. She was so warm, sweet and thoughtful and she even offered me an extra disk of images since I would need one to give to my Doctor and might want the other disk for my records. I am sure everyone is as amazing as Didi but I felt very lucky to have met her and had her take such great care of me during this stressful process. Alex the Manager was very present on the floor checking in with people and his colleagues to ensure everything was running smoothly and everyone was happy. I would recommend OPI Imaging to every and anyone if they want a wonderful place with caring, thoughtful and helpful people who will give you your results very fast and efficiently! I went in on a Friday morning and my results were emailed to me and my Doctor on Monday morning. Thank you OPI Imaging and a BIG thank you to Didi, Jessica, Sarah, Cynthia, Raven, and Alex for all that you do!!
This was my second trip to OPI for testing. Thank God I got Jamel as my practitioner again!! He explains everything thats going to happen and talks you all the way through it. OPI is a great, fair-priced office compared to some of the hospital labs. Thanks OPI and Jamel!!
Dont Worry. For most of us, we end up at OPI because something is wrong. The team at OPI will assuage your fears. If you are fortunate enough, you will be assisted by the remarkable Tech, Jamel. He explained every detail of the procedure, taking the complex process and described it in such a way that I could understand and not be anxious.BRAVO Jamel!!
I will never go anywhere else for my scans. Less than a mile from the new Piedmont Hospital, they will work with you to schedule multiple scans in one visit. Ive had multiple CT scans, MRI, Mammogram and ultrasound over the years.Always friendly and professional, they try to help in any way like finding ways to save you money for out of pocket expenses. The bathroom in the waiting room is very clean. The entire location is handicapable friendly. For a first visit: if this is for a second opinion, a diagnostic scan or any level of mammogram - bring your previous films. Even if they dont request it at the time of your appt confirmation, do it anyway. To enter you must wear a COVID compliant mask. Everyone there for a scan has an underlying health condition and not all can be vaccinated. This suite is located in a strip mall on the right corner. Extra parking is available between the buildings towards the back.
I visited the office on yesterday. The staff was pleasant, helpful and professional. Didi was the professional that performed my test. She was extremely compassionate and ensured that I was aware of every step. I was made to feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. This location is the best. Thank you all so much.
Nobody likes getting an mri, but my experience was great. The front office staff was professional and the radiologist Nicole was awesome. She had such a great bedside manner. She made me feel so comfortable before putting me in the machine. I strongly recommend OPI.
I would like to know if you have any resolution for my past experience at your facility. I never heard back from you. As per our conversation you said you will do some investigation about the incident I experienced. As per the bill I do not feel comfortable paying for such a terrible experience.
The front desk staff was pleasant, wait time was minimal. The ultrasound technician was clearly frustrated, short, and unhappy from the second I entered the room. I felt like I was a bother. She minimized my symptoms as if I didn’t even need the scan to begin with. She complained about the computer system several times. She just seemed generally annoyed and I felt uncomfortable. It was definitely the roughest ultrasound I’ve had which was unpleasant particularly because of the area and how invasive it is.She ended the procedure with a snippety “well, good luck with all this!”. I understand that she is human and maybe was having a bad day, but, considering her chosen profession, I feel the ability to remain pleasant and reassuring is important.
The staff was so friendly and helpful! I’ve never been to such a friendly, professional place before! I would use them again!
I have had 3 CT scans with Jamel. He is wonderful! His passion for his job and compassion for his patients is incredible! He has a very calm demeanor that immediately puts you at ease.He is a huge asset to OPI as well as his patients.
Lets be honest, nobody looks forward to a mammogram - but OPI (and particularly Barbara) are so good - I dont mind the visit at all! Super quick, efficient and comforting. I would recommend OPI to anyone!
Short wait time, friendly receptionists, and the technician performimg my ultra sound? Wow. I was extremely nervous about getting a transvaginal ultrasound due to a horrible previous experience somewhere else, but she asked for consent every step of the way and checked on me several times throughout the exam. I wish I would have gotten her name for the review, but shes a saint
AWFUL. Do yourself a favor - schedule and go somewhere else. Had an appointment based on a script from the doctor and OPI decided to change it so insurance wouldn’t cover it. Just trying to take preventive, wellness steps and they only care about $. Completely unprofessional.
So happy with my experience here. The facility is spotless and inviting. The staff was professional and very helpful. They were on time and very efficient. I was feeling stressed about getting scans done but they made me feel comfortable and told me everything I was to expect. And they were even more affordable than going to a hospital. I would recommend them to anyone and if I ever need any other imaging done, I would come here again.
After funeral expenses for my son I didn’t have a lot of money. Had an eye scan scheduled but before I went for my appointment was told I had to pay the copayment up front. I asked if I could make payments & was abruptly told NO. I am almost 78 years old & was very disappointed. Do not recommend for this reason
Front desk Staff is very unpleasant and slow. I arrived 15 minutes early to do the paperwork for my appointment and Im still waiting 30 minutes after my appointment time. No one gives you an update on when or if you will be called back for your appointment.
Extremely rude and difficult to work with
Omg this was my first ever MRI and I was so scared ! But the staff were amazing and so sweet. My tech Zay was amazing he made my husband and I feel so comfortable and walked us through the entire process. So quick and easy! Recommend to anyone needing an imaging center.
Just had a MRI on my elbow this week and OPI was great. Everyone there was friendly and knowledgeable in what they were doing. Facility was clean and professional. And, they took me on time. In and out in about 45 minutes. More importantly, their cost was about 1/3 of what my specialist wanted to charge in their facility. Will definitely return if I ever need a MRI.
So I have 2 scores that average to a 3.1) SCORE 1 (since 0 is not an option): The staff that do the scheduling and answer the phone are incompetent and couldnt have cared any less about me, my appointment of my test results. I made an appointment for two procedures. I hadnt gotten the reminder call that I was told I would receive.., so I called. I discovered that I had only been scheduled for one of the two procedures. The person I spoke to offered no apology nor expressed in her words or attitude that she even recognized that that was a problem. Then she asks if I want to schedule the second procedure - hello! Of course I do and it better be right after or before the first procedure as I scheduled originally! Luckily there was an available appointment. Before the call ended, I asked if there was anything I needed to do or not do prior to my appointment. She told me one thing and I asked (having had these procedures before) if I also should do X & Y - she said yes. Why did **I** have to ask and why didnt she provide the correct and complete information!? So.., now to the results communication. I received correspondence in the mail with the results of the test that I was told would NOT be mailed to me (but would go to my physician), and I did NOT receive the test results that I had been advised were REQUIRED to be mailed to me. I called and spoke with another member of the I could care less staff that answers the phone. She had not clue what should be mailed or emailed or if anything was sent in either of those ways for either test..., and didnt offer to ask someone else or find out. She said she would email me my results. I asked her for the email address the email would be coming from so I could ensure that it didnt go into my spam/junk folder. She again had no clue what the email address would be..., and didnt offer to find out. POOR POOR POOR customer service! These are medical tests and the proper scheduling and communication of the results are important to the patient! I urge OPI leadership to address this and hire people who LIKE PEOPLE and care about providing quality customer service - these are NOT traits that you can train someone to do/feel..., and the people I spoke with should not be working there if OPI cares about growing this business!2) SCORE 5: The facility is great; new, clean, pleasant, calming..., unlike going to a typical hospital location. Free parking right out front too! The person at the desk was nice, polite and helpful. The person that performed both of my procedures was great! Friendly, explained things as we went, easy to talk to etc. Turns out she used to work at the hospital where I have always had these procedures done. She also offered to have my prior test records transferred to OPI so they would have those results to compare to! She told me that I would get the the results of one of the procedures by mail (as that was a requirement) and the other would be sent to my doctor; see above that how that went....10/31/2019 :OPI,I see (and appreciate) your response but....1) Find it odd that you need me to send you that very personal information in order to look into this/contact me. You have my name (posted with this review) and all of my contact information should be in your system(s) - ?2) If I was to send you a private message..., how does one send a private message through this communication channel that ensures it will connect with this review etc?Again, I appreciate your response and the fact that you want to take action; just not sure the way you propose is the best way to continue the process.
This was my first MRI here in Atlanta GA on Saturday morning, and I was so scared. The front office employee Saida was very professional. She walk me thru everything step by step.My MRI Tech Elise was awesome. She made me felt so comfortable and keep me calm, and I got thru it with no problems. I will recommend this office to my family and friends. You ladies are the best keep up the good. Thanks Hermon Bell
I have used OPI twice. Zay is TERRIFIC! He helped me to understand exactly what I could expect from my MRI. I am claustrophobic but needed to do a closed MRI to ensure the best image. He made me feel relaxed and comfortable and made the process very easy. He is kind, understanding and open-minded. I also appreciated the music from the 1980’s.
My experience with Julio Padilla and the staff was excellent. Julio called me 4 days before the appointment to explain the DAT scan procedure and answer any questions I had. He introduced himself and told me he would be the person giving me the scan. On the day of the procedure, I arrived early so Julio began the testing process early rather than having me wait. The whole process was made pleasant by Julio as he prepared me for and performed the scan.I highly recommend OPI and the considerate care provided by Julio.
What a great experience (as far as having ones heart scanned goes!). The folks at the front desk were efficient but also a pleasure to talk with, and Jamel who did the actual scan made me feel incredibly comfortable. They clearly do a great job of hiring folks, and a great job of training them. The facility feels new and clean, and the whole procedure took very little time - they were SUPER efficient and on schedule which is the most important thing. Not something I would normally review, but the experience was that good.
This is my second time dealing with this Atlanta office, first for my son and now for myself. Both times could not have been easier or more efficient experiences. Everyone I dealt with both instances were amiable. I have had to deal with big hospitals and although I am grateful for their existence....they are so exhausting with even getting past the call center. This place is spotless, easy parking (again in comparison to a hospital......) and in a safe location. (My technician was lovely and made my appointment as comfortable as she could and I appreciate that very much).
I called a week in advance to make an appointment for an open MRI, and another procedure. I was told to be at the Peachtree Road location at 10:30 AM so the MRI could begin promptly at 10:45AM, and my second procedure could begin at 11:30AM. I arrive at 10:30AM, complete my paperwork and return it to the front desk, and at that point I am informed that 1) there is not a technician available for the open MRI, 2) that I will have to wait until 11:30AM to have my first procedure done, and 3) my MRI will not begin until 12:45PM! So Im expected to wait an hour for my first procedure to even begin, and then wait almost another hour for the MRI. There was no apology for the inconvenience or the fact that they scheduled me for a time when they were not appropriately staffed - all I got was a lame excuse that they tried to call me beforehand from the phone numbers in my chart, of which none were correct. So basically a waste of my time and a wasted trip. Needless to say, Ill take my business elsewhere.
I had a great experience here! I was feeling anxious about my test but every staff member was so patient and helpful from scheduling through my check-in and exam. Jamel my tech was especially kind and made me feel very comfortable at each step of the process. Thanks y’all!
Today I definitely found a hidden jewel - Outpatient Imaging!! Excellent, friendly and courteous staff, clean, pleasant ambience AND fast efficient service! OPI should be the yardstick by which ALL medical facilities are measured. No other medical appointment has ever been more pleasant! Thank you Jamel!!! I might just break another bone in order to come back :-)
The staff was so nice! I showed up right as they were closing and they still took care of what I needed without any sort of attitude. I was leery of the fact that they dont take appointments, but I did not have to wait for very long before they were taking care of me.
This was 100% covered for my BCBS HMO plan (not a PPO). Staff was friendly and quick and gave a CD copy of my x-rays when I asked. I will definitely use them again! *I went to the Atlanta location.
Everyone from the front desk to the MRI tech were very friendly and concerned about my comfort. Facility was very clean with calming atmosphere. Easy to get to and from my office. Will definitely refer friends and family.
I had a great experience at the Buckhead location of Outpatient Imaging! The check-in process was quick, and the ultrasound was performed about 10 minutes after I showed-up. The technician was very friendly. I was able to obtain a copy of the radiologists report very quickly. Parking is FREE, because the center is located in a small, very nice, shopping center, which is a few blocks north of Piedmont Hospital, on Peachtree Road.
I’ve come here twice in the past two weeks for a CT scan as I have kidney stones. Jamel, my CT tech, is the kindest, nicest tech I’ve ever had. When I came back today for a second scan, I was hoping he’d be working and he was! The staff here is very nice, but Jamel goes above and beyond and is the best.
Professional, caring, clean, and efficient. I was very impressed. I would recommend this facility. Bonus... Water and cookies after your test!
Absolutely terrible experience at the Atlanta facility. The staff demonstrates a no-care attitude and complete disregard for the concerns of the patient. With so many other imaging centers in the metro Atlanta area, I would highly recommend that you seek a facility other than this one
I when to get my DAT scan .very friendly people . Kyia very nice young lady, she is very patient, Thank you.
A followup to the owners response asking for my contact information: i have left personal letters at the Atlanta office, and also send a message through your website to the Atlanta office manager. You have all the information you need, but clearly you have no interest in contacting me .It is hard to even give this business one star. I posted a previous review after it became apparent that my mammogram had been misread (I had another complete diagnostic exam at my usual facility and it was read by my usual doctor, OPI had noted areas of concern ON THE WRONG BREAST). After repeated attempts to send an email to OPI, which would not deliver, I hand delivered a written letter to the facility, complete with the report from the other facility, and asked for some kind of explanation or reply as to their error. I was told the office manager would call. Several weeks, no call. Last week, I called to speak to the office manager, who was conveniently out of the office but I was assured that she will call you promptly. 10 days have passed, no reply. And yet, after pointing out an error that could have left something suspicious undiagnosed (their radiologists report noted concerns ON THE WRONG BREAST), I am still getting their computer generated notices that I need to come in for a follow up mammogram. Something is not right with this organization....be careful.
Really good experience. Very professional staff, super clean and organized. Id give them five stars if the appointment person didnt give me the wrong arrival time.
This place was very thorough and professional. The office is very clean and staff were kind.
I wanted to thank Jamel and Kyia for an outstanding visit yesterday! I am a hard stick when it comes to IVs and sometimes it hurts.... Kyia was so patient and great at her craft and I truly appreciate all you did!! Jamel was also patient and informative about my procedure. You guys deserve a raise!! If I have to come again it will be on the day you both are working!!Again, you are both appreciated!!!
I have had several scans here and they have been very pleasant, kind and efficient !
First off, woman at front desk Felicia is completely rude. If i could give this place 0 stars I would. The staff tried to get an MRI of my wrist for 45 minutes. They were unsuccessful. They then asked me to wait another 45 minutes so they could try again which takes 45 minutes. Ive spent a countless amount of time here with 0 results. Stay far away from this place unless you are trying to waste your time with incompetence.
Very Nice place to go for an outpatient service, friendly, calm, clean, outstanding staff specially ZAY and JAMEThank you kindly .
Professional, clean and friendly. Will return.
Horrible. ripoff. unprofessional. get your scan elsewhere, not worth your time with this outfit.
I was able to get a same day appointment. The lady on the phone said 2:45pm. An hour and half later I am still waiting. Even if wasn’t the same day appointment. It’s just so disrespectful with people that are in pain. This is the first and last time here. Btw... they close at 5pm!
Super friendly and professional staff. Immeadiately realized I was nervous and put me at ease. Would highly recommend!! Thank you!
I was at OPI on 2/28 for Coronary Calcium Score Xray. I arrived about 7 min before my appt time of 10 AM, and after about brief 5 mins in the waiting room, I was promptly ushered into the X-Ray room by the most delightful technician named Jamael (sp?). He was such a fresh breath of air with his genuine joy for his job, people, and his willingness to help to make me feel at ease...., I have to say his sunny disposition set the mood for the rest of the day for me. The whole process took less than 30 mins... I LOVED my experience at this very well run, clean, friendly, and efficient Imaging Center, and when I told my physician who ordered the test about my experience, he said he is going to send other patients there as well.Ohhh BTW, they also have yummy cookies for you to enjoy, and that totally sold me! :)
Very cost efficent radiology needs from xrays to MRIs they accept all kinds of insurances at discounted prices!!! If ever there is a radiology need please inquire with them before paying outrageous amounts at the hospitals.
Quick Service but the report not sent to the doctor 3 weeks after the examination.
Waited 45 minutes to be told that it would be another 45 minutes. 1.5 hours behind schedule.
Julio was an amazing tech very patient.
Due to back problems I got squeezed in, only complaint was the wait I had and given that they fit me in, The staff was nice and friendly and professional despite the pain I was in, it was a very pleasant experience.
The staff is simply AMAZING
Excellent staff, service
Called to schedule an MRI (hold time about 25 minutes). Apparently theyre still in the stone age and only accept a faxed referral form. Ok... have it faxed. Call back to confirm they got it (hold time 50 minutes, had to get off the phone. called back, hold time 20 minutes). They said it will be 2 to 3 days for my insurance to approve it.Well, I called my insurance. They said they dont need to approve anything and MRIs are authorized as long as the provider is in-network. So, I called back, again, because after 4 days I still had not received a call from OPI. I asked whether the MRI had been approved or not, and they said, Oh we havent sent it to your insurance yet, it could be a while because were soOoOooOo busy! (emphasis mine). So I waited all week long to schedule an MRI I need and they didnt have the courtesy to explain that they sit on their hands and feet all day and cant send out a form to find out if the service is approved.I called Emory U and they said I can email the referral and call back to schedule in about 30-40 minutes.Dont waste your time with OPI. While they swear on their mothers graves that theyre working, their inaction speaks louder than their words.
