Legitimately the worst company Ive seen. If you miss a tiny window, they auto renew your contract and youre unable to wiggle out of them. If you get past that and want to disconnect services, they delay 30 days to wring out every extra cent out of you. Each invoice is locked behind an access code so that if you call in for assistance, they make it as hard as possible for you to get service in the first place.

STAY away from Fusion! They acquire this business. They are a very dishonest company. We provided notification in writing to cancel the service. They stated that send an email that we never received and because we did not respond to the email - they auto-renew our services for another year

Dont even think about this place or what they call themselves now which is Lingo. My lines were down for close to a month. I called Birch that said that they were now Fusion and transferred to Lingo. I got voice mail repeatedly. I finally switched to another phone company. Now, I am getting bills that were paid to Birch and for the months that I didnt have service. Today, they actually threatened an early termination fee of $200. RUN from these clowns. They are horrible!

In my 20 years of experience as an IT professional, I dont think Ive had as bad of an experience as Ive had with Birch (now Fusion!) Communications. In short, my Emergency Services organization was a client of Birch for over 15 years and paid them a lot of money (turns out for many services we didnt use). When I came on board and worked to cancel services, they made the process difficult and unreasonable. While Im not the type to complain about things, when a company is this poor, someone has to speak up. I see from other reviews, my misery is in good company!

Never NEVER do business with this company. They do not return phone calls, will not provide copies of your contract, refuse to answer questions. Ive left 60+ messages for Erica Washington never receive a phone call back. Talked with 3 different sales people and several reps and no one would provide me with a copy of my new contract. Hours and hours of time have been spent on this. I called AT&T got answers and contact in a matter of minutes.

Two weeks ago our business internet was down for 14 days. Every day I called for an update. Fast forward to this week now I have been down for 6 days and counting and get the same run around about the same part that is on a slow boat from China that went bad 2 weeks ago. I had internet for one week before it went down again. Losing hundreds of customers and dollars in sales but they will be quick to cut you off for non payment. I would guess with my losses they owe me now. If you can get internet elsewhere I strongly advise you to go with another carrier especially if you run a business.

SCAMMERS!!!! Billed us double of what we usually pay through Century Link for less than 20 days of service and werent even AUTHORIZED to do so! Be CAREFUL... Will Talk to whoever will answer their questions and are not authorized to set up ACCOUNTS! Had to file complaint with the FCC and the BBB just to get account taken care. DO NOT WORK WITH COMPANY!!! Not even worth half a star, but doesnt give me an option.

I found the customer service very nice and mostly helpful, but I do not understand why making an adjustment to a land line is so incredibly difficult this day and age! Our small business potentially lost thousands of dollars of clients because of Birchs tardiness and excuses.

I was with them for over five years. Rates are good and there were no surprise increases. We chose to bundle all our services with Xfinity. They do have long hold times but emailing them got quick responses with a follow up call from a representative.

Had Birch for over 3 years. My internet speed is horrible. Despite increasing my service and being locked in to another 3 year contract, Im paying over $600 per month for less than 5 mbps. Its been 11 months with the same speed. The only solution they offered me was another 3 year contract for $725/ month.

This company is either without integrity or totally inept…either way not a valued business partner. Be prepared to read all the fine print…keep copies of all communication…record conversations with Customer Care…and receive bills with false charges. Four months before our 3 year contract was about to end, we sent notice of intent to cancel in writing via certified mail. Even with a copy of the customer care response of that letter receipt in hand…they are now charging early contract cancellation with penalty fees on top of alleged late fees along with alleged invoices and late payments after we changed to another provider. The amount of time required to provide the facts about this situation has been unbelievable with Customer Care now claiming no knowledge of previous verbal communications. And now…the whole Birch debacle has been turned over to collections so we start all over again in trying to get this straightened out.

Severely over priced, Internet speeds are SLOW despite adding additional towers & extending the contract for another 3 years. We have been with this company over 10+ years (through all the name changes/sales) & I cannot recall one positive thing that could be said about them. Spare yourself the time & money. Im in agreement w/ other reviewers how the heck are they still in business. smh

Firm had been with Birch for an out of state branch for some time only due to limited options when the contract was initially signed. Birch (somehow- I havent the slightest clue) was able to acquire our home office telecom provider so we ended up with 2 accounts. Since acquisition, Birch has become the worst. Apparently the old account got set to auto renewal without notice. We didnt find out until we found better options for the out of state branch. Birch made it impossible to exit the renews contract even though the services were not being used. We decided to deal with it and let it be. Now that we getting close again to the renewal time- BIRCH is AWOL. There phone system is saying a minute or 2 wait but still waiting over 10 minutes before deciding to hand up. IF you have other telecom options, even if slight more expensive please consider taking them over Birch. I do not see this company being around in the next year or so with the way things are happening now.

Dont trust the salesmen. Promised the world and the system NEVER worked the way they promised.Literally spent days on the phone with support - when you could get through to someone who cared and knew a little of what they were talking about.We finally gave up trying and just searched for a new company and just shut our phones down last month.Our experience was so bad we were willing to count our losses and just pay all the early termination fees just to get rid of it

NOT RECOMMENDED. i have been hung up on twice. first time i waited 15 mins before someone answered the phone but then was hung up on before i could even speak. i called back for the second time i was on hold for 53 minutes and 39 seconds just to be hung up on AGAIN before i could get the guys name who answered the phone. i am on the phone now for the THIRD time its been 20 mins and i still havent talked to a person. my first issue is my front office phone will not ring but all other phones do. my second problem is when an employee tries to transfer a call it hangs up and will not transfer at all. im sure these issues are fairly easy to correct but i cant get a hold of someone to help me. ive had many issues with this company. these are just todays issues. do not recommend their service. i will be looking into switching soon.

Internet and phone server down far more then the contract states. No one answers phone support after hours on hold. Tried so many times. Just have to pray when internet goes out.

Big rip off. Bad customer service. They lost my cell phone request 3 times. the internet went down at least 3 times with poor repair serivce. Very poor customer service. There phone hold times are as long as 15 minutes and you get the run around when you speak to a rep.Don not trust what the sales rep tells you.

Stay away from them!!! See the other reviews, its not just me. Yes they cost less but the service when you need them is beyond poor. If you need tech support, plan to wait upwards of 45 min each time you call them. And tech does not have email to email them back after you hang up. Even ATT has this. Come on it is 2017! Do not expect a reply email from customer care either.. they ignore them. And you cant get them on the phone either. Also, they disabled posts and reviews on their company FB page. That should tell you something about a company. They advertise 24/7/365 world class customer care. You cant even reach them. False advertising. Also, they lock you into a long term contract. And finally, ATT is now offering even more for less than them. Birch is a joke. May have been good from the start but they have either grown too fast and not kept up staffing wise or they just do not care. I want out of my contract and they should let me for failure to perform. Lack of customer service, and I cant get help when needed. I will be sure to file with the BBB, FCC and all regulatory bodies. It will take time but hey, I can do all that while I am on the phone an hour each time waiting for them to pick up. I do not have time for this, I have to run a business and you cater to businesses. This is not good and I will make sure all my associates know not to choose you. Hate to say it but going with the BIG companies is better. Tried to give money to a smaller business but they do not take care of their customers. Tried to resolve with them through the BBB and no deal. They are just about them and not the customer. Just steer clear of them.

Crooks, liars and thieves. They bought out cbeyond. I was a customer for over 10 yrs. Im a small business owner. They informed me my service would go from $400 to 750. When I changed to another provider forc $200 they took weeks and weeks to port my numbers and charged me for it. I was not on contract. Do NOT EVER USE THIS COMPNY. I have spent hours trying get my account settled. My latest conversation ended by a customer no service rep telling me to move on.

They really are as bad as everyone says. stay far far away, horrible service, horrible customer reps, internet constantly crashing, and tried to charge us thousands of dollars for termination fees even though we took all the necessary steps. run away! and dont look back! they are the worst! Quick research will show that this year they were forced to pay millions in penalties due to unauthorized charges, they are corrupt!

Was a Birch customer for 8 years, and went to transition to fiber because they were charging 800$ a month for 3 mg/sec. The transition didnt take place in a timely manner and now that we have to extend services they are taking advantage and charging 1,400$ for a matter of a week that we will need the services. I dont know how Birch is still in business.

We had been a prior customer to Birch Communications. We have been unable to move our service to another providers as Company will not discuss the service move to the new provider. Terminations letters have been sent and received. The only contact is from the retention representative. NOT GOOD! ITS FCC and BBB time. Hello.

Different company name but the same crooks. Had a horrific experience with these guys. Awful customer service and slow, intermittent internet service. Thats why we terminated our service. I was not happy to pay the 500.00 termination fee but wanted to get as far away from them as possible and just ended the contract.They are now trying to charge me 700.00 for the equipment they left behind. We asked if they could come out and take their equipment. They (Birch/CBeyond) told me it would cost me 200.00 for them to come out and pick it up or it would cost nothing for me to uninstall their gear and drop it off at a location in Norcross GA. I dont have time for this nonsense but if Im gonna save 700 bucks, I have to play this game. I would not recommend their service(if you can call it that) to anyone. Bad business practices and bad service. Im concerned that I may have to pay more money eventhough Im returning their equipment. Im taking pictures of everything Im returning. I dont trust these folks.

Worse company ever. We had few issues with Cbeyond but not as many as with Birch. Our service went out from Sept 7-9th and then again on the 17th-23rd thus crippling my business greatly. 85% of my sales come from credit cards and our online ordering system, which could not be used since our internet was down from several days. There were times when our phones went out too...Ive spent hours upon hours on the phone with these people and theyve told lies upon lies. They will never send out a Birch technician. They will send out AT&T and they will tell you a Birch technician needs to come out. I still have never seen a birch tech. Oh theyre horrible at calling back too. Ive had to call several times because I was not called back in the time frame I was promised. Thanks to Birch, I have to rebuild my business. Thanks guys

Rudest,most unprofessional business we have ever dealt with. Demanding payment on a bill we do not owe, refusing to send a full accounting. Finally, sending information and upon asking questions being told you have had your questions asked and answered, we are sending this to collections. Bordering on harassment. Horrible company !
