I came to Atlanta for a business trip and called for a last minute appointment. She was so kind to accept me last minute and make adjustments to her schedule to fit me in. The Stylist and The Salon is professional and Clean . During Covid especially, thats really important. Masks are required ! Lets talk about that first and foremost. The bathroom is always available for use and clean ( did I mention clean) . Time management is effective as your styled, beautiful and in/ out within 2-3 hours ( or less ) depending on extension services vs natural hair servicing .. all while still maintaining the quality of the services rendered. I came in for a silk press. What I received was nothing more than a wash, blowout and flat iron. During the blowout, she did end up burning the left side of my head, which is still flaking. She left my hair in a curled style. There was absolutely no shine to my hair and it was frizzy around the edges! She did seem more concerned about her dogs than anything else that day, so maybe it was just an off day for her.

First of all let me say Monique is an amazing woman the first time I met her which was yesterday she was nice and welcoming and she treated me gracefully throughout the procedure in the beginning the numbing process was good anytime there was pain she re-applied the numbing application and the pain was no longer there . Also she informed me about women who have Pigmented lips like my self that what needs to be done first is have a color correction before you pick a color of your desire. Over all I am happy with my results and I will be going back in 6 weeks for my touch up . ❤️👍🏾

I’m a newer client of Monique’s and after a year of trying to find my salon home I can happily say I’ve found it! I’ve seen a couple stylists in the past I found on Instagram who made it seem like they were really about hair health yet my hair wasn’t getting healthy with them. I came across Monique and took the plunge and my first visit she instantly said she was going to get my hair right and I left that appointment feeling so good about my hair.The biggest difference between Monique and the stylists I saw was that she is about EDUCATING you on hair health. I didn’t know that steam hydration treatments were a thing until I saw her and it changed my hair. I was using those popular Babyliss Titanium irons that all the stylists use and she educated me that those were frying my hair when used at home frequently. She uses ceramic tools and I went and bought a quality ceramic iron and I instantly noticed a difference in my ends. Titanium isn’t always best especially when I do my hair weekly at home. No other stylist thought to ask me about my home hair care regimen or my hair health journey and goals unlike Monique. She’s hilarious and professional and takes her work seriously. I never felt like just another client. I can already see some noticeable growth since the last time I saw her which tells me that when she said she would get my hair right she wasn’t playing! The booking was easy.. consult was quick and she answered a lot of my questions. My service was great. I got ITips and I love how they look and feel. I discovered Monique via Groupon. I was able to get about $30 off her services, and she did not disappoint. She works very quickly, and my silk press was BOMB! The only thing though...she plays very explicit music and curses while conversing with clients. If you don’t mind those two things, she is a good salon specialist to go to.

I would first like to say that this is the first time I have EVER been to the salon to get my hair done(team natural 4c). Ive been natural for over a year and never had a trim. I cant begin to describe how much Monique slayed my hair I looked like a goddess I was so amazed. My hair was washed, keratin treatment, I was put under a hydration machine to open my scalp pores, hair blow dried, silk press, trim, cut into a bob, and styled. The bounce and volume was phenomenal. The total amount wasnt even expensive I most definitely recommend her to anyone and she works with all hair types. She has an awesome personality but i dont know if it because she wasnt feeling well but I was burned multiple times on my scalp and i also have a small burn on the upper side of my face. Also even though I bought a silk press from groupon i dont think she gave me one, i believe it was just a blow dry and flat iron as my hair began reverted within a hour which often happens after a regular flat iron.Groupon was for silk press and deep condition but she literally deep conditioned me for 5 minutes under the hood, thats definitely not a professional deep condition.Worst for me is she went over my natural hair more than three times with the flat iron and continuously backtracked and went over straight pieces again. then at the end she went through it again with a larger iron.AGAIN, She had a great personality but i would not suggest for natural girls.

I traveled to the Atlanta area, from another state, to visit family and decided I would get my hair washed and pressed while there. I learned of Moniques services through Google. I booked an appointment two weeks ago through Vagaro. My appointment status showed pending when I first booked the appointment and by the next day, it showed confirmed. When I arrived at my appointment, Monique was not there. She stated that she cancelled my appointment because I called and cancelled my appointment, stating I needed a same day appointment. She also stated she did not have a phone number to contact me, which is why she didnt call me. She assured me that she would come to the shop to do my hair, and it wouldnt take her long to get there because she lives on Peachtree. I waited at the shop for an hour before contacting her via text to find out how much longer it would be before she arrived. She didnt respond to the text, so I called and left a voice message. She later texted me and stated that she was in bumper to bumper traffic. Traveling from Fayetteville to Atlanta in an hour in 5:00 PM traffic, makes it hard to believe that coming from one destination on Peachtree Street to another on Peachtree would take an hour at 7:00 PM, after rush hour. It is very upsetting to me when people are not honest, but its even more upsetting when business owners are dishonest. Honesty will take a business far. I would have been much more understanding if she was upfront and honest with me. I traveled an hour to my appointment, waited for an hour, and then traveled an hour home, without getting my hair done. This is very unfortunate.
