I had worked diligently to resolve an issue with a company in Atlanta with no success; Seeking help from the BBB was almost my last resort prior to securing legal assistance. The online BBB format was very straightforward and I received clear communication from BBB via email regarding next steps. The problem was resolved in a fair manner between me and the company and it was simple to go back online to the BBB website to close out the matter. The BBB process was fast and effective and am thankful to BBB staff for their support.

😒 You should take a more proactive role, not just a reactive one. One would think that with todays technology you wouldnt allow fake companies (whether they are accredited or not) on your directory. You are making them credible by default.

I love BBB. Just because its probably the only simple way to protect your consumer rights (besides a court, of course). Though I agree, that only allowing a complaint OR a review against a business is not right. This is peoples opinion. No matter if business resolve an issue, the rest of the public MUST know what happened through reviews system. In the COMPLAINT system there 2 parties involved - a consumer and the business, whereas in the REVIEW system - a consumer and public, and the business in the 3rd party.

So much more than expected! We applied for BBB accreditation, genuinely expecting to never speak to a person, just apply online, pay a fee and be done. The BBB thoroughly researched our company. We then received a call from Chariss at the Atlanta BBB. She shared invaluable tips and advice on making our internet presence even better. We are so proud to be a BBB accredited business!

THE BBB IS A SCAM. They allow people to make unfounded and defamatory complaints against your businesses and require ZERO evidence. We received no indications there was a complaint made against us.  We tried calling.  No response.  We tried to respond to the complaint and their system never sent us a validation code.  We finally receive a piece of mail today which we immediately went to the URL listed.  However, the matter had been closed as it said we never responded.  We NEVER received any communication from them until the day after they closed the issue.  THE BBB IS A SCAM.

BBB was able to get Home Depot to act when all their representatives either wouldnt answer the phone so I could get a human to talk to, or gave me a run around. However not all BBB branches are effective as once or twice., complaining to them proved to have been a waste of time

As long as you provide enough detailed information and have a valid reason for filing a complaint against any business, then you should receive some type of feedback, explanation, and mutual resolution in the end. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in July, 2021. An Atlanta based corporation had failed to respond to my emails to their customer service regarding their products warranty and buy back program. Once the corporation received my BBB complaint, they immediately contacted me via telephone. The problem was resolved and I am very satisfied. Thank you BBB.

I had an issue with a paper subscription(MDJ) who breached their contract with me so I cancelled. They had the AUDACITY to charge me a cancellation fee. Only $10.00 but its the principle that matters. They refused to reverse their decision so I went to the first source Ive been going to for decades....the BBB. Needless to say after a few back and forth emails, I got my money back. Funny how these businesses dont want to do right by customers until you get BBB involved.

I got a refund from an Atlanta-area merchant 24 hours after BBB contacted them. I had previously contacted the merchant on my own with no resolution. Even though the merchant isnt a member of BBB, it seems that being contacted by the agency was enough to spur them into action.

Please do not apply for a home through Invitation Homes or Mainstreet Renewal. They will take your money and deny you within a hour and not even tell you why your application was denied. They are scammers at its best. They won’t even return your application fee after they’ve denied you. Find a better realtor company besides them to go through. Highly would recommend.

I would not under any circumstances use All My Sons Moving company ever again!! The 2 movers were on time, but the 2nd guy that came out today was new. Thus, he had to keep being instructed on how and what to do. I understand that you are going to have new hires but the company should have sent 3 movers in order to train but to continue expediating my move so that it was more efficient. For 45 minutes, the 2 guys just wrapped 8 dining room and 2 living room chairs, nothing was moved from the house to the truck during this time. I never felt a sense of urgency from either of these guys. Finally, when they did start moving furniture again, they came to the determination that they could not move 1 desk armoire because it was too heavy for them. I was informed that they had to get another guy to come out and help them move this furniture. I was told that it would take about 2 hours for him to get there, but that if he wasnt there by the time they were finished loading the truck, they would be taken off the clock and I wouldnt be charged for that time. i was informed of this at 10am. By 12:30 pm, still no 3rd guy, so I called the office and was told he was coming from a great distance away but that he would be there by 2pm and reminded I was not being billed. The 3rd guy did not show up until 2:30 pm. But heres the problem I was expecting this guy at 12pm, he did not show up till 2:30pm. Let me say this, the 3rd mover, by far was the most experienced of the 3 movers and did a great job getting the furniture moved to the truck and expedited the unpacking of the truck once moved to the other location. I want to make this clear, the truck used for this move was less than half full for the entire move and it took these 2 guys 3.5 hours to get all the items moved into the truck and it took less than 1 hour to unpack the truck at the destination.Next when I was reviewing my final statement the movers had put in the wrong time, they were done by 4:20pm but I was charged until 5:15pm. When I called and brought that to the office attention I was told that I would need to speak with the gentlemen who oversaw the move on Saturday but he would get back with me. I never heard from him and had to call again on Tuesday. I did speak with the gentlemen who oversaw the move but I was told the truck did not move until 4:45pm. I was like they were straightening up the blankets and doing odd and end things and he informed me that was part of the service I was paying for. In addition, I did not see the $100 deposit that was given when I scheduled the move. I was given some song and dance about that but I do not believe him at all. So be warned, do not use All My Sons Moving & Storage!!

I tried to file a complaint against a company that I paid and they didnt do the job. But because I left a review I cant file a BBB complaint. You have no right to not file my complaint. You should advise us that if we leave a review we cant file a complaint. You shouldnt get the choice as to what we can file. Take down my review and file my complaint instead. Thats what the BBB should do. But no they do whats easiest for them not whats best for the consumer.

Some of the movers did okay moving our home, and the price was fair, unfortunately they did a lot of damage to some of our furniture and molding in our home, and the owner of the company seems to not care one bit. They moved us in Charlotte, NC with a team they have up here. The money savings with their deal is NOT worth the damage they do to your belongings.

A lady from this company kept calling the business I work for wanting to know where the owner was and lied to us about the owner expecting the call. She was really rude and we were quite obviously not interested in what she was trying to sell us. She called three days in a row after telling her that the owner is not in and not interested in what she had to sell him. I finally told her to stop calling.

Security is non existent. I was made aware by my employer that personal info was sent without a secure email and Amerisave denied it. I withdrew my application and it was the best thing to happen in 2020. I strongly recommend using anyone but Amerisave.

Robin and I will always send business to Trace at Atlanta Roofing.com anytime we hear of someone needing a new roof. Trace is a master communicator. He looks after the customer and he communicates very well the features and benefits of doing business with him.Ill bet there are none better at their job than he is, and now he has another addition to his staff besides Donnie...Peng. She is very very unusual in that she contributes so much to helping him and his business.Our roof is a charcoal GAF HDZ architectural shingle, and has a ridge vent from end to end, and even on the three dormers. Trace suggested a black drip edge, and along with the white trim, and with the brick that covers the outside of the house, we have a beautiful home, lovely roof and extremely functional gutters to be proud of.It was such a good fortune to have Trace and his people install the roof and gutters for us.We will send him his check today.

The econo lodge inn and suites in Marietta ga was nasty and the customer service was horrible. I came from south georgia to stay the weekend with my fiance and he booked the room late on the 26th of june 2020 for us to arrive on june 27 2020. When we arrived to the hotel the clerk informed us that we had missed our stat because it was schedule for the 26th instead of the 27th. Theg would not change the reservation nor would they refund us or money for the roon they didnt offer a discout. So now im in Atlanta searching for somewhere to stay for the night....

Hello,When I ended my services with Xfinity, I took their equipment back to their place in Hiram Georgia. The lady there told me Xfinity would send me the final bill through the mail.I got that bill and it was over $400.00. I went back to that office and paid that bill.Now Xfinity is coming back weeks later and saying I owe another $210.00.This is a total rip-off. Can you imagine if Xfinity used this scam on a million people? I have been calling several days in a row now before close of business, the automated system tells me the hours of operation (which Im calling within those hours) then the automation says we are currently closed please call back within normal business hours. Now I just called again on 12/20/2019 at 1:31pm the automation says they will be closed December 23rd to January 1st because of the holiday and to visit the web, no option to speak to anyone or press any key! It is the 20th not the 23rd! We are obviously trying to complain about companies already, so who do you turn the BBB into?

Honestly, Better Business Bureau has become a shill for corporate interests. They allow dishonest companies to thrive. For example, I had an issue with Just Flowers (who did not deliver flowers on Mothers day as they guaranteed). BBB has this company listed as an A+. In turn, the company markets that they have an A+ rating as a means to entice customers to use them.If you look them up on the BBB, however, they have an average rating of 1 out of 5 stars on BBBs own website (which has over 489 customer reviews). How can a company that is rated as 1 out of 5 stars have an A+ rating?BBB just perpetuates misinformation now. Its sad. I think they used to be a legitimate company in the past.IN REPLY TO THE BBB RESPONSE: With all due respect, the fact that BBB does not consider customer reviews in ranking and grading companies is problematic on so many levels. If customers continue to complain and leave poor reviews for a company, then how can they be highly accredited? Your priorities have been turned on their head.

I have been trying for a week to get Megan Reid from the BBB to call me back about an issue with complaint that was left for our company and I have yet to receive a call back or a return email. She apparently is the person that is in charge of handling my type of problem, so no one else can help me. I have sent her 2 emails and left her 3 voicemails, but I have yet to hear a peep from her. I spoke with another customer service rep (who couldnt help me) and they gave me her back up persons info, so I called and it went straight to voicemail. Pretty hilarious that Im having major customer service issues with the BBB. You cant make that up.

I filed a complaint against Nursing and Behavioral Health Services, LLC and it has yet to be posted on the bbb website. People need to see how dirty they treat their clients! How they cut you off without telling you, while giving you the run around, and then completely ignore you! I went with the company because at the time I researched them, they had no bad reviews and an A+ rating! After, I paid my money, I noticed a couple negative reviews but the companys rating never changed! That is very deceiving!I keep reading the responses from the BBB representative saying that the ratings arent based on reviews. Well what are they based on? Most customers dont know that! When they come to your site to research a company and they see the A+ rating and no complaints, they assume that its a good company. I thought the BBB was for the people but it seems that theyre for businesses.The BBB doesnt seem like the reputable organization it once was. What a shame!

My name is Stella and I am very disappointed in the United State Post Office at 5050 Union City, Georgia. Mrs. Sims is an acting supervisor at this location and she was very hostile with me. Mrs. Sims grab paperwork out of my hands very aggressive and I lost my balance and almost fell and leaving me with the corner of the paperwork where I was still holding on to. The corner of the paperwork is proof that I once had it in my possession. The paperwork was an application for refund that was giving to me by another united state post office employee. I was told by that employee to take that refund application to another post office because there was not a supervisor present at that location at that time. I went to another post office and Mrs. Sims grab the application out of my hands very hostile leaving me in tears and would not give the application back and would not refund the money. The application had all my personal information and I dont trust her with it because of her behavior and she should not keep it since she did not refund the money. The refund was from an express mail that was not deliver on time and I am entitle to that refund because the post office didnt fill their obligation. I file a complaint online with the United State Post Office and receive an email from Mrs. Sims and she is handling her own complaint case and did not turn it over to her supervisor. I contact consumer affairs and took all the proper channels; however, no resolution. I file this complaint on Sept. 13, 2017 and the post office of the untied state is not taking this matter serious. Mrs. Sims is an acting supervisor and her job should be to deescalate the situation and reduce the intensity of a conflict; however she was very hostile, aggressive and forcefully took the paperwork out of my hand and caused a conflict. Mrs. Sims behavior could of caused and unsafe environment for her employees as welled as her customer but I remain professional. No one should be treated this way. I am a cancer patient and Mrs. Sims bullying me by being aggressive and causing me to lost my balance and almost fell. Mrs. Sims needs more training and should not be a superiors. And I am disappointed in the Untied State Post Office for not taking this matter serious.

Be aware! Companies who pay the BBB get better ratings and negative reviews removed. BBB is a for profit business and are not an advocate for consumers! There is no money in helping consumers... The BBB is and has always been a conflict of intrest to both parties. There money and revenue come from Business Membership Dues (FEES). They get nothing from consumers...... Go figure; doesnt take a rocket scientist folks! Dont listen to there BS excuse as if they represent both parties. I dont want a for profit entity to take both sides. Man o man!

I filed a complaint against Hicks Roofing with BBB. Even though they were not able to resolve my issue, I appreciate the professionalism and promptness.Public: BEWARE!!! Stay away from Hicks Roofing. My experience has been extremely negative. I made the mistake of believing the salesman. Really thought I was dealing with a company that valued their customers. I was wrong. Letters to the owners were ignored. You can avoid the disappointment and frustration by not engaging Hicks.

I initially thought companies that are large corporations would not care to respond because they can bully one consumer. I had never considered asking BBB for help in the past because normally businesses are quite cooperative in working out customer service issues. Recently, however, I ran into an issue with a cell phone provider not willing to correct a mistake made by one of their local dealers. I reported this to BBB and was shocked when two days later I actually got a call from a representative of the cell provider presidents office. Incredible! I am not sure who to turn to after reading these reviews. T mobile has charged me for making two international calls to Norway. Black people knows no one in Norway. So there is Noway it came from my phone. Im being charged close to $90.00 now. First it was $200. something. Tmoble never sent me a statement to dispute with them only a bill text. I ask whats going on t-mobile said they cant say. But they sent my bill straight to the collection agency in less than 30 days. Problem date 7,6,19 collection letter 8,5,19. Something is missing. Statement, for my yay or nay. Nothin. They said my statement would arrive on the next billing cycle, no statement. Override me and went straight to the collection agency. See i am helping an elderly person its not really my phone it belongs to my mother in law its a flip phone. They said the call was made front the phones ein number. Hmmmmm. Fishy. Taking advantage of the elderly is elder abuse. Knowing mainly elders use the flip for simplicity.

There is really no point in relying on BBB ratings anymore or filing a complaint with them. Seems all a company has to do is respond and they can keep their A+ rating. Its mind boggling that a property management company like Relocation Realty has an A+ rating. Furthermore, it seems odd that customer complaints filed against them do not appear on the BBB site. I was working with another woman who said that she filed a complaint and encouraged me to do the the same. Yet, I do not see her complaint or mine. Ill file a review with Yelp. At least I can count on them to post my review even if they dont help to resolve complaints and Ill be able to warn others. So, disappointed in the BBB for not resolving my issue. Finally people are telling the truth. This BBB company is a money making SCAM, They posted false and incorrect information about my business then wanted money. I think it was $500 to have my business a credited business.Scott.

PROOF the Better Business Bureau is FAKE. Look up First Data Merchant Services in the Atlanta BBB. They 85 reviews - 84 1 star & 1 neutral. NO positive. AGAIN NO POSTIVE. AND 1014 COMPLAINTS. The BBB still gives these jokers an A+ rating. I understand First Data does their credit card processing. HOW do you get an A+ rating with so many complaints? BBB protects and lies for big companies like these. People know the BBB is pay to play scam...well known now. The BBB are paid franchise by city - they ARE NOT a government agency. Non-profit does not mean Non-revenue. There is no trust in the BBB. We posted a complaint about Fist Data - guess what - the BBB refused to post it. And now refuse to return out calls. Look up the BBB on the internet under reviews - go past their website results - endless complaints about the BBB.

There is really no point in relying on BBB ratings anymore. Companies like DirecPath get A+ and 3.7 stars some how, despite over a hundred complaints and 94% negative reviews.The BBBs recommending a company makes as much sense as someone recommending Kevin Spacey as a good baby sitter.

Honestly, without a forum like the BBB, the remaining options to have a company address an issue are cumbersome at best. We have social media that allows a consumer to poorly rate a company - but of course is indirect and, in my case, the company I had a problem with already had plenty of negative reviews (of course I didnt know this until I had a problem). Some communities have consumer-advocates, but your problem would have to be of real interest to them. And there are small claims court, which requires time, patience, court costs...and still the possibility of no remediation. The BBB give a great forum for consumers to have a direct mediation of their problem with a company, and is a better incentive for a company to address the issue so that they can remain in good standing. Had it not been for the BBB, Im sure the company I had a problem with would not have offered me any remediation and Id still be dealing with them today. Instead, my problem was solved in less than 20 days. Very grateful for this forum!

Dont ever take your car to Atlanta Classic Cars Mercedes Benz Boggs rd Duluth to get repaired. Terrible Customer service they didnt get to the bottom of my problem. I had to come out of the pocket an additional 2,000 dollars for what they said was a problem and it wasnt the problem the managers were cold heart and no sympathy for the mechanics mess ups on miss diagnosed on my car terrible customer service. It took 3 days for the manager to give me a call back and the hardest person in the world to get in contact with. When he finally calls he has an attitude like I did something to him. I will definitely try to get in contact with fox 5 news or channel 2 news to get my money back.

More proof the BBB is a pay to play scam. EVO Payment systems - scam outfit - complaints all over the internet and the Atlanta Better Business Bureau has them rated A+ - BECAUSE EVO PAID for accreditation. One day this scam will come to backfire on the old BBB. EVO has 37 ONE star reviews - and 220 COMPLAINTS over the last 3 years....yet the A+ rating because they PAID. Someone needs to expose them to the government. My company filed a complaint with the BBB over EVO and the BBB refused to publish it. Apparently they are protecting this company. HOW do you have 220 complaints and an A+ rating? Dont believe a word the BBB says....EVO doesnt even answer half the complaints. You would think EVO would want to take care of their customers - NOPE. I know TIME Magazine did an article exposing the BBB and so did CNN....I hope the rest of the country learns.

Why is Atlanta Better Business Division closing customer complaints about Georgia Powers unfair business practices without investigating? I filed a complaint because Georgia Power demanded I pay 3X the amount of my monthly bill as a deposit. CASE CLOSED. Thats the response? Really? This lofty bill came just as the hot weather starts. I feel pressured to pay it even though its unfair and unwarranted. This is a health risk for disabled people who have fixed or low income and cant pay 3x their bill. Why is Georgia Powers money grabbing demands being ignored? Dont they have enough money in their huge bank accounts?

I had made several calls in to Coca Cola regarding confusion with a Coke rewards item ordered. They refused to help me in any fashion in order to resolve the issue. And while it was simple and not a lot of points involved in the transaction, they still refused. I even mentioned that I would file a BBB report to several representatives in hopes of spurring positive results, even one who maintained himself in an escalated position of authority, all to no avail. So I did just what I said I would, I submitted an online complaint (actually the third this year involving problems and conflicts with my Coke Rewards) to the BBB of Atlanta. Also, since Coke is a BBB member, it gives a positive promise of amicable resolution. It was then, and only then (just as before) that my complaint was taken seriously enough (I feel) and resolved to satisfaction. I thank the bureau because it would not have happened had I not filed the complaint and had their assistance in two of these instances. I am appreciative because it made the difference.
