Typical black barbershop atmosphere. Nothing special that makes it stand out from the rest. Convenient location if you live close to the downtown area and always an ample amount of barbers available. Those are the upsides to this spot. Their hidden gem is Joe. He gave me the best haircut ive ever had in adulthood for my dads funeral. And when it comes to my haircuts i am very much into perfection. Had a couple issues of unprofessionalism which is why i stopped going after two years straight. Thinking about going back but would most def recommend you try this spot out for yourself at least once.

I moved to ATL in August of this year (2020). Looked around town and asked for recommendations. Finally got word of Tariq at Off The Hook. I went with the scheduled hair cut. Got there and everything was set up and ready for me to go. Tariq is a great guy. Great conversation, and really looks out for his customers. I Highly recommend him and any of the guys at Off The hook! Ive been going back ever since and Im not planning on going anywhere else for the foreseeable future.

Karl did an awesome job and Ill definitely fly back in just for a cut. If you want the best cut in the city come here! I recently went to Off the Hook Barbershop. It’s a great atmosphere with a very clean environment. Everyone there is cool and welcoming. When you go ask for Joe Edwards. He always does my cut, and has me looking clean when I step out of his chair. No matter the cut, he always achieves great levels of precision, especially on my flat top fade. I’d definitely refer this shop to anyone looking for amazing service.

Covid-19: They check your temp at the door and everyone wears a mask. Everyone was pleasant. I noticed the other barbers cutting hair and all of em fye. They got an all star squad. There are about 10 barbers in the shop. My barber is Joe Edwards. I call ahead to make an appointment. I get a great conservative cut, plus color.Joe is a skilled professional Master Barber. I first came in about 6 months ago for a consultation when I needed to find a new barber. He listened to my concerns and identified the best approach. I received compliments after the first cut(!) from co-workers and (more importantly) from my family.The atmosphere in the shop is friendly and respectful. It’s a place to get a great cut and revel in an oasis of traditional black positivity. If you want to, you can get and give some friendly trash talking about your favorite sports team or player. (Go Cowboys!)Park on the street or in a paid lot at the corner. Eat at Brunch Cabana next door before or after your cut.

This is my favorite barber shop! I come from the other side of town to get cut by Joe. Hes kind, professional, and a great barber who always gives you what you ask for. The atmosphere is great, and you can always find the guys in a deep discussion over sports or music. Its always a pleasure stopping by. Dont see myself changing barbers any time soon.

The wait time is very minimal with 6+ professional barbers. My personal favorite is Barber Joe Edwards. From the first time he cut my hair til now he always deliver an awesome experience and I never leave unsatisfied. I took my son here for his second haircut. I had initially taken him to one of the major chain haircut places, and we had a horrible experience. I was able to find Off the Hook Barber Shop after reading several reviews online. I am happy I found this place, and I highly recommend going here for your next haircut. The staff was very friendly, and the place has a great vibe; it’s a place that I am comfortable taking my children. Within 5 minutes of arrival, they had my son seated in the barber’s chair. Our barber, Joe Edwards, was magnificent. I came in with two pictures that I found on the internet. I wanted to combine the two cuts with some added adjustments to cover a minor imperfection. Joe listened to everything I had to say. When my son had his concerns, Joe encouraged him to speak up, and he listened intently.I don’t know how Joe did it, but he managed to combine the pictures I had, my suggestions and my son’s ideas and turned it into an excellent cut. We left extremely satisfied, and we have gotten several compliments since leaving the shop. Honestly, I could go on and on about our great experience, but I think you all should check it out for yourselves. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Been bring my boys here a few months now. Since moving to Atlanta I’ve had a hard time finding affordable barbershop that can actually cut my boys’ hair like I want it to be cut. Joe is such a great barber. I can always get in and my kids enjoy coming to the shop!

I recently moved to the A. Finding a new Barber can be kind of scary, So i did some research. I definitely the feel of this place and everyone in the joint seemed to be enjoying themselves. The area is nice and theres even a cool Health food store next door. I scored a nice haircuts and some good eats.

The barbershop has nice Tv’s if you so happen to have to wait on your haircut. Also the barber Tyriq is very precise with my temp fade and line ups. He also is very considerate of my time every time i go rather i have an appointment or if I’m simply a walk in. Off the Hook is a great shop. The barbers and stylist are skillful and the atmosphere is always upbeat. My dad, my mom, my brother and I all get stylish cuts there.

I gave this place 3 fair chances, and each time was worst than the last. Rediculous wait times, unorganized, over priced for the quality of cuts, and misleading info. Was told I shouldnt have much of a wait, 2 hours later Im still waiting. Get up to leave and someone stops me saying a barber will be available shortly. After 3 hours total, I finally get a seat for a disappointing cut. The last time I called to make an appointment and was told dont worry, just walkin, someone should be available, still waited 3 hours. If I was going to the barber to chill maybe I wouldnt mind the wait, but Im trying to be in, out, and on with my day.

Probably a great place to get your haircut..but don’t go if your time is limited..went up to a barber who didn’t have anyone waiting after the one he had in the chair..took him an hour to cut this guys head who didn’t even have that much hair and a beard..left after 45 minutes..ridiculous and a waste of my time

I regularly go to Off the Hook Barber Shop. I usually go to Tariq who is a really good barber. He takes his time and the hair cuts he provides are like a masterpiece. The parking can be somewhat of a luck situation but if you go during the week than youre more likely to find parking.

My best friend came here after his barber moved. GREATEST DECISION EVER! We sat in Joes chair. Great convo, down to earth and did I mention the man knows his clippers?! We will be back! My besties hair looks great!!

I entered the shop with a sense of anxiety and fear. First, this was “the Big Chop “ 😬 and second, I’d never been in a barbershop before. Yet, when I walked in, the atmosphere was relaxed. Everyone greeted me as entered the door. I was still a little nervous about my hair cut as I described what I wanted. Tariq listened and gave me look as described. He also suggested natural products to help strengthen my hair and to keep the look consistent. Needless to say, I’m officially a client!!! No professionalism at all. When someone enters your establishment you great them. Sat down for like 15 min and no one even asks if Im wanting a haircut. There were like 20 people in there just talking. Find out half of them were barbers and had no concern for cutting someones hair. They just lost a customer and gained a bad review.
