Our Samsung dryer was not heating and we needed help ASAP. Curtis responded to my call the same day (on a Friday!) and was able to quickly diagnose the issue. The repairman was slated to come on Monday. No one showed and no one called. When I reached out to my landlord and he called them, they called and advised they would come the next day. They called the next day as promised and showed up in the window provided but the professionalism from the door was off. He called and said he was ringing my doorbell ans was annoyed that I didnt come to the door. It doesn’t work so I advised he come to the back. He did. When he came he didn’t announce he was there, he just waited for me to open the door. When he came in, his first words in a very annoyed tone were “I need you to move those off the top.” And I snapped back at this point because he was standing in the door and I couldn’t close it. So I told him I would as soon as he walked in the house. (Duh?) Everyrhing I said to him, he ignored. When I asked him to let me know if he needed anything, I was ignored. When I asked him to what might be happening with it(not cost of repair, case of issue), he said he’d report it to my manager. (Guess he meant landlord).My landlord didn’t seem to understand his behavior either. He left without any words and came back and told my son what had happened.(presumably after speaking with the landlord) He fixed it. Not my dimes but I’ll never call them for anything. You just can’t make ppl feel uncomfortable in their home. Period.
Awesome!! They were on time and very professional. They answered all of my questions. Explained to me what was wrong with my Whirlpool Dryer. Quoted me a reasonable price. I was able to get it fixed that same day! Took less than 45 mins. I will definitely be calling them again.
Not the best experience. My appliance is still not working at the capacity I believe it can and should (and has previously). It had been a really long time since I had come across someone so smug and rude that I am paying to do a service. When “Curtis” came to my home the first time, he barely made eye contact or spoke when I spoke to him.I was in a rush working from home so I didn’t make a big deal of it. He defrosted the fridge with no indicators or education (initially) about it happening again. Full Disclaimer: We got a Samsung fridge from a family member who moved. Meanwhile, about a day or so later I notice copious amounts of water leaking from what I thought was my washer so I went through the home warranty to get that fixed. That appliance person indicated that it was actually a leak from the fridge so I was out the service fee for that as well. I have the invoice that’s time and date stamped so please don’t try to pretend that wasn’t a City Boyz causation. Had I known it was them I would’ve held them responsible. I also found that the little blinking red icon is a filter needed, they did not replace or educate on that either.I noticed upon turning on the ice maker that the back of the fridge started to freeze again (it’s still frozen). I turned it off and asked for him to come back, as it was making a loud roaring noise and child couldn’t sleep. It was about a day or so before he came back only to come in, check the temperature of the fridge and leave. I called him and asked about the fridge again and he indicated I had an “ice maker issue” and they did not “deal with those” and to call Samsung. He also indicated there was a recall, I found no information about this when I did a basic search. I did find a class action lawsuit however.During my phone call, Curtis cut me off several times and told me he sent an email about the “technical manual” as a “favor” and he “didn’t have to do that.” We NEVER got the email. I told him that and he said he was copied on the email, my husband said he never provided it and I don’t believe I provided mine either so....First of all, why did you then if you didn’t want to? Second of all, if we did not receive it, who did it go to? No “favors” were done here. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even get what I paid for. The fridge work temporarily and then the same issue occurred with more damage than before he came the first time.I got increasingly irritated with him and the call with him cutting me off. Bottom line is my fridge is still not cooling well. The items in the containers are just barely cold and the fridge is set to “chill.” I constantly have to hit “power cool.” The water isn’t even as cold.The ice maker has been off since his last visit and there is still build up, so why is that if it was an “ice maker issue.” I’m upset I wasted money and there is supposed to be a 90 labor guarantee. I guarantee he did not want to service the fridge and I ended up spending more money fixing something else he broke. I called Friday multiple times and no one answered. I really want my money back because the issue is not fixed and I would like the money I had to spend with another company to fix their issue refunded. Overall not pleased.Well Abigail, I wish I had known about your company’s ability to ONLY service dented or scratched appliances. I didn’t see that labeled ANYWHERE on your website, but once again, that would have been information to include on the website, in the visit, or thereafter assessing the issue. The cooling issue couldn’t be just manufacturing issue particularly because I eliminated the ice maker component. Moreover, your company duped us out of over $200 under the guise they could fix the issue instead of assessing and then determining it being a “manufacturer issue.” If that was the case why attempt to fix it? Why have a 90 day warranty that you won’t honor? I think you all are used to people with reduced deducing skills, if that is true you picked the wrong consumers in this case. Quicker response to this than my actual call.
Needed our Samsung dryer fixed today. Called a few places and most said it would be over a week before they could come out. Plus wanted $119 for service charge! Literally found this place on google. A super nice, personable man named Curtis got the info on my dryer. Said he could be here by 4:00. He was on time. Diagnosed the problem and from info I gave him had the part needed in his van!!! Very impressed.
Id scheduled with another company that canceled the day before the appointment because the Technician was sick. I found City Boys online and called them Thursday Afternoon and was told someone would call me Friday Morning to schedule appointment. Friday 8:20 the Technician calls. Arrives about 2 hours later to access and explain the problem and quote a price. Once I agreed to the price this gentleman went to work. Once done, he CLEANED UP after himself, explained what had caused the problem, what hed done and what I shouldnt do in the event of another power outage. Thanks City Boys!!
I’d initially called City Boys to repair my Samsung dryer and I was so blown away by their excellent service, I scheduled to have my Samsung washing machine serviced as well, as I was afraid I’d have to replace both. Everything about this company is A1 and such a pleasant experience: the response time, showing up on time, customer service, thoroughly explaining issues and options, standing by their word, integrity, such the perfect most professional experience. My dryer had stopped heating. I found this company on a Friday night. Called them at 8:00am on Saturday morning and by 11:45am my dryer was fixed! Curtis was nothing less than professional. He was knowledgeable and schooled me about not only my dryer, but how the rest of my appliances work. Hope I never need another repair, but if I do, these are my folks!
I needed a new heating element and drum wheels for my Samsung dryer. They came out the same day I called and fixed it right away.
03/18/2020 - LG Front load dryer was vibrating. I emailed Cityboysrus last night and got a call first thing this morning. The technician was here a few hours later. Did and excellent job. The inside of the dryer/motor needed to be cleaned out. no other repairs required and it runs like new.thanks for the great service!
My Whirlpool dishwasher needed repair and I contacted City Boys R Us Appliance repair and they got back to me within 25 hours. The technician came out the same day, diagnosed my problem, andoand the needed part. Within a few days my part was in and they were back to install it with no problem.I would definitely recommend you giving them a call.
As a first time home buyer I never know where to start with home repairs so when my Frigidaire refrigerator stopped running (no pun intended) I was frantic. I called and spoke with some guy who told me that I did not have an emergency and would have to call on Monday to get someone to come look at my appliance. So my dryer not working (and it’s the only one I have is not an appliance emergency? Then what is. Why the hell are they in business then if not to help people in appliance emergencies?) I told him I believed I had an emergency, in annoyance he said he would have someone call on Monday at 8:30 and that call never came. Total dissatisfaction and disappointment!The owner, Abigail Johnson did not read the review. I did not go on the website, I call their listed number. I requested service and above is how I was treated. No spam review here... I had to call a service from Buford, GA to come and they did great service over this joke of a business that was not more than 10 miles from my house and could not get off their lazy couch to answer the call.
GE side by side refrigerator. City Boys R Us was by far one of the best experiences I have had with having my appliance serviced. They gave me a realstic time frame, told me what time they were going to call and what to expect. The next day Curtis called when he said he was going to call, he showed up at the time he said he was going to show and completed the job with 1 hour. I would most definetly recommend City Boys if you are wanting a quality, professionall ande punctual experience.
