The lady was rude. I asked could she do my nails the way it looked in the picture I showed her. She said yes. Not like the picture. The anchor looks like it was drawn on with a pink sharpie. I asked could she make it thicker, more noticeable. She said no. My daughter did a better job on her first time then this lady I paid $50 to do it. Wont go back for sure.

The employees here are very nice to me! They always make sure they wont hurt my hands with their tools. They always apply the products onto my nails gently. My nails are treated like a work of art!

My daughter just went to have her nails done from there and not only were they rude (the male tech) they completely ruined her nail. Then once she spoke to someone else about the situation she yelled at her because the picture of the design was on her phone which was in her back pocket, that is when the male tech snatched her phone FROM HER BACK POCKET of her jeans. And she paid 51 dollars for this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

I love lava for a pedicure. Iv gone a few time with my husband and father and we all have bad ruff feet and always walk out with baby smooth feet. The photos was taken almost 2 weeks after my pedicure.

I go to this place once a month and have always received good service. But the guy in chair #2 is always very rushed and rude with poor quality nails. Today that was unbelievably worse. I’ve never in my life received such poor quality service. My nails look awful and I will be going to get them redone somewhere else as soon as I Possibly can. I will not be back.

My nails were ok I had to get replaced after 2 weeks because they were about to come off but my sisters nails came off in a week an I paid 140$ hers was more Idk why couse we got the same thing done but I was very mad about that an he nails were awful looking has spots where no paint was but mine were ok just not stuck on good

Last time I was there, I said I’d never go back. I did today, and it was absolutely the worst pedicure I’ve ever had. I got the Luxury pedicure and it was horrible. The service was lacking in all areas.... water was cold, no massaging, no dead skin removal... He was very rude and I felt like I was putting him out by even being there. A 5 year old could have done a better job! Never again!!!

I went in on a Friday afternoon with my sister and best friend to each get a pedicure. My friend and I had two different people so our feet and they seemed to be great.My sister had someone different, an older man with longer, lighter hair and leather boots on. He was very rude, unprofessional and just plain hateful. My sister used the Google Translate for when this man was talking to his other co-workers and turns out they were calling her a B****, and just being mean. I will not go back, I will not recommend. If that’s the way you treat customers, you’re a disgrace.

I only had my nails done in the dip. Ive had it done at other salons and never had this happen. My dip was so thin that is started chipping away at day 7. So after the chipping got worse I just fulled it off with my nails. That was insane becasue you should have to soak the nails to get it off. I will never go here again. 35 dollars throw away.

Mixed feelings. It wasnt horrible, but also not what Im use to. My normal salon before moving, which was in a bigger city, was cheaper than this place for the services offered. I hate that smaller city salons are still using shavers for pedicures... Better alternative out there. And when I refused the service, I got dirty looks. Employees were yelling at each other and one customer claiming she was wrong....I would have left, but she stayed. When paying, the total was $1 more than on the price list. But I got charged $1 for lava nails. No clue what this was....I brought my own polish. Also smelled like cigarette smoke. Wont be returning to this place.

I used to go here but after the experience I had on Friday I will never return. The guy at table number 4 needs to be fired. He has messed up my nails every time he does them. On Friday he yelled at me for watching him do my nails and told me to look somewhere else. My nails were not square at all and that’s the way I like them. He burnt me more times than I have ever been burnt. And also I felt like he was going to break my fingers! Please people don’t waste your money here.

I was a walk in and i signed in and the lady asked me if i could wait i said yes and waited for about 30 min till they got done with the other person, the lady stared on my full set of acrylic nails she was nice and the total came out to 27$ which isn’t bad at all for a full set i normally pay 40$-45$ she did a good job on them, i would recommend this place if you are in athens..

So many people have given so many negative reviews here, I had to share a positive experience. I came in as a walk-in for a pedicure and happened to get taken back right away. Everything went well and everyone was nice. My pedicure was pleasant and I had no issues. I will be coming back.

Best place for pedicures!

Went in to have my nails done normally where I go they stay on a couple weeks and still look great so I was expecting the same the first time here. The color started getting weird clear coat spots not sure what was wrong so I looked over it and assumed it was something with the color . So went back a second time hoping if I did something different then the previous it would turn out better. So went in they got straight to me no wait it took 2 1/2 hours then when they was done It looked good but was the opposite color i picked out so i looked over the time it took and wrong color . Not 48 hours the entire top part of my nail came off and the fake nail is still glued on so its obvious i did not break it . I paid $55 and that was pretty expensive for 48 hours .

I went on Tuesday after work to have my nails done by Tuesday evening they were chipping. Friday when I got back in town 6 were broken or chipping. They fixed them for free...less than 24 hours later they are cracking and chipping again! I will drive the extra to Cleveland to have my nails last me 3 weeks with out breaking and chipping daily!I was told not to go and I did..shame on me! Im only out $50 and will be 3 trips for nails in 4 days..

It should have been a warning sign that it was so empty when I walked in. The pedicure was beyond basic, No trimming or shaping of my nails, and the polish was messy. The manicure was even worse, he missed entire sections of my nails until I pointed them out. I left with almost as much polish on my skin as on my nails!! I immediately went somewhere else and had them do a polish change. Don’t waste your money here.

Was not happy with Lava Nails! I usually have great service by one lady there. Most of the other employees have bad attitudes, and do not act as if they want your money! The lady I got today was rude and did not act like she had time to deal with me. My nails are not shaped good and way too thick, because she hurried to do them. There was no one else in line behind me, so there was no reason for her to rush. I do not like to spend $40 on nails that I do not like. Simply not a good experience.

I walked in to get a pedicure. I asked for something specific. They said they couldnt do it, and then refused pedicure. Finally, I said, I u understand, all I want is a regular pedicure. He agreed. Then tried to feed me incorrect information of what would happen when I have had this done before but in Cleveland and Georgia. Get with it Lava nails and learn about fake nails. Dont try to send me to Walmart to buy the nails. The only reason they get a 2 is because he did the pedicure and I didnt have to wait. Your tip is customer satisfaction and service.

Should’ve known they wouldn’t be anything great when i walked in and they were empty! i just simply wanted gel polish on my nails and they acted as if i was too much to deal with, raising their voices and being hateful. i was astonished at how bad they treat their paying customers! i never leave bad reviews anywhere, but this place deserves it! it’s a great location and seems like they have the right ideas, just terrible attitudes.

Not only is the lady at the front desk (on the right) one of the rudest people who Ive ever been in contact with in retail... And not just sometimes but every single time Im there. In addition they over charge and I literally broke a nail I paid over $50 for within less than a week and they charged me five more to fix it. Literally they have no idea what customer service is which is prob why its the only place in town you dont have to wait to get in because they are so terrible. I have gone back because they do a good job but their customer service is why I will never go back here. They have no care for people only money. It is just not worth being treated so terribly.

Terrible service, rude employees. I have been going to lava since they first opened faithfully. However the last few experiences have been awful! I hope some of the employees can learn some common courtesy and respect for their customers or they are going to lose more.

Customers service is horrible they act like you are bothering them. I drive to Cleveland at Zen. Lava Is set up the nicest in athens have wine, water, drinks, but they dont offer it. The guy smokes sits down not washing his hands. The same day nail broke off.

I have been going to lava nails since May every two weeks to get my nails redone. They always did a good job until my last visit. I have received a different person each time, and they always do the same thing and try to make conversation also. The last guy who is usually at table 4 did not. Typically I’m asked how short I want my nails and how I want them done. When I walked in I had a picture of what I wanted done or similar to it. Plus I wanted my nails shorter. He did not ask and did not do half of what the other nail technicians did.

I took my mom there to get a pedicure. The lady doing my moms toes was rude from second she walked up. we received very poor pedicures too. Just polish and wash.Not worth the money. They obviously dont like their jobs. I can find a place who does.

I usually go to DaVi nails but Lava was recomended to my daughter so we gave it a try. We both got the dip powder and I was excited because they offer more powder colors than DaVi. First the nail tech was rough while filing my nails they are still sore two days later. Second they look like a bubble (not sure how to describe them). When Ive had them done at DaVi they look natural, most people think theyre my real nails. Third we were the only ones in the salon with an hour before they closed. The nail tech rushed me telling me my nails were good to go. I didnt feel like they were but left anyways. Should have stayed because they were not. Wish I had stuck with what I know and like.

Wife got her nails dine here and loved them. Priced are a little higher than some other placed but from what I can tell, so is the quality.

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. My friend and I spent $70 a piece here to get our nails done. My husband and I came in today to kill sometime. We are from Indiana and get pedicures regularly. We came to this place to try them out but it was awful. First they laughed at my husband because he was getting a pedicure and men dont do that apparently at their salon. They went to deep when removing his callouses. I have been here several times. Each time I received only mediocre service,but after my last visit I will never go again. I went there only wanting a fill in, when my nail tech told me she would not give me one and said I needed a full set, even though I told her I didnt want that. She was extremely rough while filing my nails, and was extremely careless while applying the acrylic. So careless, that the acrylic seeped off my nail bed onto my skin, and when I put my hand under the blue light my fingers began to burn as if they were on fire.Ive never ezperienced pain this excruciating while getting my nails done. When applying the polish, it was applied so thick you could see the brush strokes, and even after I asked her to fix it, you could see how uneven it is. This place is over priced, sloppy work, and everyone there is rude.
