Best Gym in Athens by far If you are serious about lifting or just getting in shape, this is where you want to go. I have stirred away a couple times to experience different gyms and ended up cancelling the memberships early and going back to the Lions den because I missed all the equipment and the people. By far, the most and best equipment in Athens. Well taken care of and great people.

Been going here for the last 4 years. 24/7 which is nice can always lift whenever your schedule allows. A gym that actually allows you to lift and lift heavy. Tons of equipment for whatever your needs may be. Always clean. Filled with very helpful people, some who have been lifting for a long time which can give very good advice if you ask. Very friendly people always keen to give a lift off or spot if you ask.

One of the best places to go. Clean, well kept and maintained. Owners probably the best and always around if you have a problem or question. My advice, you need to try it for yourself, you want be disappointed at all.

This is a great place for anyone to come work out. The owners are very friendly and they keep it extremely clean. There is also a wide range of all types of equipment and hardly ever too crowded.

I have been a member of this gym for over 20 years. The owner does a great job of keeping the equipment updated and in great condition. Great rates. A wonderful environment and atmosphere. The 24/7 setup is beneficial to those whose work schedule isnt flexible. I strongly recommend the Lions Den to anyone who is serious about working out and wants to improve their physical condition.

Best gym in north Alabama. I have worked out at several gyms over the years, and this is one of the best. Steve is always updating /adding new equipment. I have been a member for about 20 years, no complaints ever. Free weight area has plenty of room, unlike other gyms.

I love this gym. There is a wealth of weights and equipment here. The owner is very proactive about bringing in new training tools and keeping things in good shape. The members are friendly, and make you feel part of the community. As a 24 hour access gym, you cant beat the convenience.

24hr access, clean facility with a wide variety of machines, equipment and free weights. Locker room is a bit small. The gym tends to get busy around 5-6pm but theres always enough room. I do mornings there and its never busy. Best gym Ive found yet.

I have been steadily been going to the Lions Den Gym for 3 years now and would highly recommend it to anyone. It is a great environment for any type of preference, whether it be fitness, cross fit, or just plain weight lifting! They have more than enough equipment for anything you want to do, and lots of nice people that will offer any helpful advice if you need it! They take monthly payments as well as 3 month, 6 month, and 1 year deals with family packages! They will continue to have my business as long as I ever live in the area, great gym!

The Lions Den is by far the best gym value in Athens Alabama. There is 24 hour access at a very reasonable rate with no sign up fees. They have more free weights than any other gym I have been a member of with a large selection of machine weights and cardio equipment. You never have to worry about a piece of equipment being out of order because Steve ensures that the equipment is repaired or replaced immediately. No matter what your fitness goals, the Lions Den can help you meet them.

Great locally owned gym. It is well equipped and offers something for everyone at every fitness level. There are no contracts required and none of the hassle like most gyms. A real gem of a gym in the Athens community.

Lions Den is the best gym Ive ever used. They are constantly updating or adding new equipment and the atmosphere is so friendly and professional. Youll find everything you need to get in shape and have a great time doing it! Honestly if youre not at the Lions Den, youre missing out.

Ive been a member here for a while now and I absolutely love it. The owners are great! You can tell they really care about their gym. It is well maintained and there is something for everyone here. Their cardio area is seperated from the weight area and has lots of equipment to choose from. There are lots of free weights as well as stationary machines. Membership rates are affordable and they offer different rate options. Over all I am greatly satisfied and would recommend this gym to anyone.

The Lion’s Den is more than just a gym and meal prep service. These people are your friend in times of darkness. The owner (Jess) overheard me speaking to a friend over the phone in an Academy store, offering up my apartment in case hers took on water during Harvey. I had been stuck in San Antonio for nearly a week due to the flooding in Houston. She knew how bad it was; all roads impassable, people stranded, grocery stores completely empty. She cut into my conversation to tell me to come by the gym for a free bag of delicious meals. This was the nicest thing a stranger had ever done for me and it helped out so much as I had two friends stop by my apartment and take everything I had (food and water) to get them by until the grocery stores opened up again. I’ll never forget her kindness that day.

Love the Lions Den. I have been a member for a long time. The gym has such a variety of free weights, machines, and cardio option. There isnt another gym around that can compete with it. I have been to several other gyms and they are always crowed and you have to wait for someone to finish using equipment to continue on with your workout, not a problem at the Lions Den. There is plenty of space, the gym is clean, and they are bringing in brand new equipment regularly. The Lions Den Gym is a awesome place to workout! Its a 24 hour access facility and has every piece of workout equipment I can think of. Its also very spacious and clean with a layed back atmosphere. Im a very pleased member!!

Great atmosphere, friendly members of all ages. Been a member almost 20 years. variety of cardio equipment (thats my thing), weights, and recently added adjacent facility for cross-fit type training. I started because at that time they were the first with 24-hour access.
