Where do I start? Its hard to express my take on Dr.RGuzman.To say she is the apitimy of what exceptional, interpersonal skills is really about- is quite an understatement itself.This remarkable woman, graciously, saw what was wrong before her, fixed it then continued to her assignment.This stuck out to me because usually- sadly, some others I know, would not bother to address it. I was so grateful, I almost cried on the spot.Dr.Guzman, is what is a rarity in any medical professions today.The best mannerism Ive witnessed in my 69 years of living by a professional and a woman too?However, Aspens in Athens, Al, also has a people friendly staff and support assistants.I call them THE No Pain Dentists.God bless you Dr. R. Had an awesome experience today. Some customers were mad and upset for their own reasons. However this was the best experience I’ve had. The young lady who completed my Impressions today was so kind and knowledgeable about what to expect with my future follow up after my oral surgery where my jaws were broken and she was very gentle and again was able to answer all my questions I had about the process of re setting my jaw to get a normal bite back. Keep up the great work.

I went to Aspen dental in Athens Alabama, The ladies where all very nice! They where beyond helpful with everything and I walked in after making a phone appointment with the 800 number for Oct 5th and was seen within 15 minutes. I liked the ladies that I had direct contact with so much Im following them to Florence so I can have them all the way through my process! Thanks yall

My first two visits were amazing. every one was super kind. but came my extraction day and it was such a horrible experience. they give me this numbing gel and I noticed I was having difficulty swallowing. the dentist who was removing my tooth said it was in my head. I had told her I had asthma and she said I was working myself up for no reason and if I hadnt called out of work for the weekend, she wouldnt have done the extraction with my psychological issues. it was time for the shot and I had told her in my experience of having gotten them in the past, I would need at least two to feel numb. she gave me half a dose. the extraction starts and I tell her it hurts. the dentist tells me I need to learn to differentiate between pain and pressure. I told her I knew very well the difference and it was pain. she continues and again I told her it hurts. she said she would wait a second and I didnt she was literal. a second past and she continues. she numbs me slightly more and the tooth is finally out with my face stained with tears. the dentist said the possible pain I was feeling could be because the infected tooth takes a little longer to become numb. this was such a traumatizing experience. the only good thing that happened at this visit is the wonderful nurse who tried her best to make things better for me

I wish I could have seen the lady that did my first NORMAL cleaning she was sweet and made me feel like a normal person. The little blonde girl this time was trying to be nice but made me feel like a child because I got frustrated she was trying to increase my cleaning cost because someone there missed up. Some nice people in there but I would look elsewhere if you’re not looking to deal with fraud

Don’t waste your time. We loved this place on our first visit. However, after a dispute with them charging more and not sticking to my dental plan last year and now this, we will not be going back. I had appointments made for both my son and I that we waited over a month for and not only did they cancel my appointment last minute but they also canceled my son’s appointment the week after. I called multiple times and left messages and no one ever returned any of my calls.

This is a great place to go take care of your teeth. Best dental care I have ever experienced. I felt that I was in good hands. Dr. Jones was very nice and informative. Highly recommend.

This dental office staff is amazing!! Ive had horrible experience in dental offices and this place customer service is off the carts. The technology they had was very impressive, they were extremely informative I had a pleasant experience. They promote healthy oral care which I can appreciate. I have a small cavity....ugh, so I will let you all know what that service is like!! So far I would recommend!!💜💜

Dont make the mistake of going here. Sub-par work and you can tell staff dont know what they are doing. They also dont have the necessary supplies. For example on tooth fillings most dentist match your tooth color, here they use a universal color that doesnt match my tooth. When my filling wasnt done right and I needed it shaved so I could floss between my teeth, i had to return to have it fixed and the dentist asked the assistant for something they use that is like sandpaper on one side to slide in between teeth and fix it and the assistant told the dentist they didnt have it. The dentist apologized and said she did her best with what they have. I am not happy with the filling I got and they charged me over $300. You can tell the dentist and staff are sort of farmed out, and they just care about getting your money.

Since March 7, Ive had (3) temporary caps and (1) crown put on the same tooth and they have all fell off. I go in today april 28 for a fifth time to try and get this crown put on again. Praying they can get it right this time. If I could get my money back, I would find me another dentist. The only good thing, is that the staff is super nice.

My daughter went to the Athens office on 10/3/2019. They provide a good faith insurance estimate (without talking to BCBS as we later found out). The estimate was $1095.80 and she paid the remaining balance of $506.20 that day. She later got a bill with insurance only covering $137.40 and her owing the difference. Its not good business practice to provide a good faith estimate without talking to the insurer. This has gone to collection and is now on her credit report.

Don’t do it!!! I have spent thousands of dollars and countless trips!! Just picked up my final set a year later only for them to be so think I can’t even stand them in my mouth. My temp set is better then these. They don’t even line up... want pictures hit me up.The staff is friendly but dentures suck!!

This is my third visit at the Athens location and I haven’t had a bad experience yet. Dr. Jones was amazing, very kind and great at what she does. Lashonda, the dental assistant, was also very kind and attentive. I felt like I was great care, as always. I definitely recommend this office!

I made an appt w/ this location. They text and asked me to confirm my appointment days beforehand, which I did. I was told to show up 15 minutes early (fory 3pm appt), which I did) but yet they were closed until 3:00 p.m. for lunch. I walk in with a folder (prefilled paperwork) and The front desk staff rolled her eyes. And this is the conversation had, With an attitude She says, Yes? Can I help you? Because were not taking new patients right now! Yes maam but I have an appt. Sorry cant see you. Really?...And you waited to tell me till I got here? Well, Weve been trying to call everyone and tell them..Sir! Maam I just drove 6 and 1/2 hours to be here...and noone called me,. Is there anything we can do here.. No we are short staffed.I know nothing will come of this except for them asking me to reach out to their Patient satisfactory staff but this office waisting hard working peoples time, needs to stop!Wow! Aspen Dental. I would give you0 ⭐s if possible.

Very unprofessional! Claimed they tried to contact me, but they did not. Apparently my Dentist moved and the other Dentist is on medical leave. So now Im forced to have my surgery by a staff and Dentist I di not know nor comfortable with. If I wait I have to get at the end of the line and wait several months after I have requested paid time off from work they change my appointment at the last second. I will never recommend anyone using them bc of the lack of professionalism

Scheduled my appointment to have my teeth cleaned without insurance. I was informed Aspen would preform new patient x-rays before the cleaning. After x-rays the dental hygiene person performed a cancer scan, with my permission, for additional cost. No cancer identified. My gums were then rated for issues 1-5. All were within good range except one upper right back gum. She rated it a 5. I do not experience any issues or sensitivity, swelling or discoloration in this area. I was informed unless I took gum treatment before the cleaning, again at additional cost, that my cleaning would not be performed. I was never informed this was a prerequisite to the out-of-pocket cleaning. So it was a waste of my time to see Aspen for a cleaning. Also your x-rays are way too excessive. Sorry but I have had many dental x-rays in my life and the Aspen redundant x-rays shots were way too many. Furthermore the 5 rating on the one small area was extremely suspicious to me. I now plan to go back to my previous dental office for a cleaning as well as a review of your 5 rating on my so called gum area. Sorry but Aspen did not meet my expectations and had the appearance of trying to add unnecessary cost to me. My $75 dollar cleaning was turning into a $315 unwanted service.. On a good note, the staff was very friendly.

My first visit was just yesterday, and while I do have to return next week for the actual procedure, I would already highly recommend Aspen Dental in Athens, AL. I spoke with no less than six (6) staff members, ALL of them treated me wonderfully. Friendly & professional, concerned about my needs, informative, in an environment that can be described as positive, uplifting, a fun as possible atmosphere. Certainly recommended for people who are very afraid of going to a dental office.

Ambet was wonderful. She explained what she was doing as she cleaned. She was quick the cleaning was painless and she was friendly and made me feel calm and not nervous.

I don’t normally do surveys or ratings on anything but in this case I will say that the Aspen Dental in Athens, Alabama have gone out of their way to care for my needs above and beyond their responsibilities. I genuinely feel they do care. Their staff is always been courteous and accommodating. I would recommend them to others just for that reason alone. I don’t feel as if the price tag on my mouth is their ultimate goal. Dr Walker has always been very caring and will take the time out to ensure you’re taking care of. I need my teeth cleaned and I was told at my visit I needed work done before yall would clean them. I dont have the funds yall are asking for to get my teeth fixed. At this point all my teeth will have to get rotten and pulled out. I dont have a way of getting funds to take care of this matter. I feel like Im stuck. I dont know what to do. I feel like nobody cares enough to help me.

Even though I had to have tooth extractions they made the experience super comfortable and made me laugh! My team was so much fun! The doctor made me feel very comfortable and tried to help with my pain as much as possible. His assistant was the best! I feel awful that I dont remember her name but she sang, danced, joked, and when it came to assist the doctor, she was VERY professional. When I sat up afterward, she gave me a hug. The whole team worked as best as they could to find breastfeeding friendly medications.

I was in today for my first visit to Aspen Dental. Mary, Dr Ringrose, and Greg were all amazing, friendly, and professional. While I was in and out quickly they were still very thorough and I felt at ease throughout the entire visit. I will be returning and recommend Aspen Dental to anyone needing dental work!

Admin staff is not competent. Scheduled me for a 7:00 a.m. appointment, but they dont even open until 7:30 a.m. Had a 2:30 p.m. appointment, but the receptionist said it was for 3:00p.m., even though I was looking at the reminder they sent for 2:30p.m. I was eventually seen by a dentist at 4:00 p.m. Care was okay and most of the people were friendly, but not worth the annoyance of incompetent administrative staff.

Very well satisfied with dr. Jones and her assistant Ms. Christie. Both were vey patient and empathetic. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Aspen dental was very quick to get me in and get me started. They were very nice and un-intimidating.Staff was very easy to talk too. Im having to change my review because of a dentist there named Dr.Jones DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST!! She is a horrible woman with a horrible attitude!!! She literally made me cry because of the way she talked to me about my crown falling out and SHE DIDNT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!! That woman needs to be removed from this team because she made the entire team look horrible!! She is going to make them lose a lot of customers with the way she treats people!! Dr. Ringrose and Hygienist Kaitlyn very thorough and explained every detail with me. Would highly recommend Aspen they do a wonderful job. I lwft pleased and happy!!!!

Everyone at Aspen Dental made me feel comfortable. Anna and Katie were friendly and gentle, and made me laugh! Dr. Walker answered my questions with thorough -yet easily understood- answers. His experience (teaching dentistry) is definitely a plus, and he is easy to talk to. Heather, the hygienist, and Desiree, the office manager, rounded out a surprisingly pleasant visit. I came in with leftover traces of an earlier migraine, but by the time I left, the laughter and engaging conversation had banished it!

I live in Huntsville but came to Decatur and I had the best experience.....the WHOLE staff was welcoming and friendly....The Office Manager went out of her way to assist me I getting my dental work done......I have ALOT of work in mouth and I will using this office moving forward!!!

My dentures did not come out right. It should been done by the time of my extraction of my teeth. Upper didnt fit at all. I have to go back and have it adjust it on Monday. Upper denture seems too thin.

It seems like a way to get more money than necessary out of customers...likely to pay for the extra bells and whistles (technological advances) The hygienist was friendly, but she she seems too ethical to work there..as she was aware that a gingivitis treatment was not necessary and is always included in a basic cleaning at any other office..but not here. They go around the gum line and then you return in a wk only for them to polish aka brush your teeth.

I had to get a tooth extraction yesterday and was extremely pleased. The only complaint I have would be that I was the second person through the door, filled my paper work out quickly, and waited 1.5 hours to be taken back. However, when I finally got back the staff was wonderful. They treated me and my kiddo great! And Dr. Ringrose did a FANTASTIC job. Quick recovery already 🙏

I had a TERRIBLE experience!!!! I went in to my appointment to get a tooth pulled they kept stalling me I saw four people before I was told they would have to ask a fifth person to see if they had time to pull my tooth. When I scheduled the appointment I told them I wanted a tooth pulled. Needless to say I left with NO work getting done and still hurting. So I advise anyone needing dental work never go to Aspen dental

They refuse to talk about payment options over the phone and insist on speaking with someone once you come in. Either you offer sliding scale pay based off of income, or you do not. Not only is this place a waste of time trying to get info over the phone, they also put you on hold for 10+ minutes if you dont select option 1 as a new patient. Select option 2, and be ready to wait until your spirit breaks. Never stepped foot in their office, and likely never will.

Great people, but didnt want to work with my insurance company. Didnt take time to understand the insurance. I needed two teeth pulled bad. I give them two stars for friendly. Other than that they are two expensive.

Went in for an appointment and sat for a long while after signing in. I finally went to the counter asker, how much longer? She fumbles through paper, oh, idk I cant find you anywhere. She then realizes she crossed my name off the sign in sheet and never put me into the computer. She then tells me my appointment is passed and now I need to fill out paperwork and she will work me back in the schedule..... i took off work to go to the appointment for non reason, I had to leave and go back to work. Now I keep getting phone calls and emails asking why I missed my appointment, I didnt miss the appointment ..... I was there and never got called back. Definitely a corporate atmosphere and not a home town feel.

I went to Aspen Dental today in pain from broken tooth. First time experience was not well. I felt some workers was distant from conversations. Others was quite nice said hi.the lady at the leave out desk she wasnt really fair or nice

Well, in the beginning, they were great! Took good care of me, treated me well. Mary even brought me a blanket when I was cold. She is very sweet.Then the office manager has changed twice since November. That is when I started my process ( They say this ALOT, Its a process. It takes time.) They also keep changing appointments after they make it. I feel like once you pay all the money for dentures, you get all your teeth pulled, now your stuck with them. And they know it. So they can keep you coming in every week doing one little thing. Then, the next week....same thing. Until, 8 months of eating rice krispies (non-crispy) and mashed potatoes the whole time, it just bad/sad when I still cant eat good like chicken...with broccoli.....humm. Or a Big Mac with fries! Im just mad ....and broke now!

This place is a rip off and told lies that I had a gum disease needed treatment that was very expensive even with my insurance the doctor didnt take the time to explain things stated I need 2 back teeth removed. Had a second opinion the same teeth Aspen dentist wanted to remove didnt need to be and I dont have a gum disease a crying shame how they try and get peoples money, thank god for the second opinion and to a dentist that is very observant.I would never go back to Aspen Dental in Athens, Al

My husband tried to get an appointment after a tooth broke. He called and spoke to an answering service on Monday and Tuesday. They told him they could see him on Wednesday and someone would call to confirm appointment. No one ever called him. Will not return . It is a joke and unprofessional.

Very nice staff but unfortunately they do not accept Medicare after the internet said they did. They are not affordable, way too expensive.

Scam, went in for simple filling, they said they wanted to do 6 pages of work, only $12,400.00. They wanted to finance!

Do you not go to Aspen dental they will not do any of the work that you require like pulling a tooth which is what I wanted done because they are too interested in giving you more work like route canals or crowns or dentures some thing that cost a lot more than what you’re wanting to have done all I wanted was a tooth pulled it was hurting me I left Hurting in as much pain as I was when I went in they did nothing for me except poke and prod in my mouth and tell me what work needs to be done other than the tooth being pulled Yes it needed to be polled but not today is what they said anyway not worth it don’t go

I call to make an emergency appointment to get my tooth extracted. My appointment was at 3:00-I went in around 2:30 to fill out paperwork. They didn’t take me back until around 3:30. Then they did a full X-ray, while I was in extricating pain. I finally saw the doctor around 4:30. The doctor told me that if they were to remove my tooth it would be in smile line. And tried to talk me into getting a bridge and how I needed all this other work. Turns out, I wasn’t able to get my tooth extracted that day because they didn’t have time. Which was disappointing because I was there for nearly 2 hours. Then they sit there after I told them all I wanted was my tooth pulled to explain to me how much everything would cost, not just the extraction. I would of had to put down 60% to make an appointment to get my tooth pulled. Very disappointed. I was crying I was in so much pain. It was a waste of time and I had to go another day in extreme pain.
