This is by far the very worst business I have ever encountered in my entire life!! I dropped my Samsung 21 off last Friday and I only needed the screen replaced they had to order the partAnd I paid an additional $20 to overnight the delivery. The total cost was $109 and I was going to be able to pick up my phone on Monday with the screen repaired. I didn’t receive any phone calls or emails so I went in on Tuesday and was told the part never came in and they would refund the $20. I tried to call Wednesday Thursday and this morning and was not able to get a answer any day or a return phone call so I went in to The business and I asked if my phone was ready they said it was not ready the part had not come in he said he didn’t know what was going on with it I asked to have my phone returned and my money refunded he told me it was not possible he could give me back my phone but not refund my money and he didn’t have any information of when the part would come he said I signed a contractAnd that my money was gone I am so furious this is the worst business ever both times I went in there I waited almost 20 minutes and I was the only person in there!!!!!!!!!!!This place is a joke do not waste your money your time or energy you will regret it that’s the only guarantee
I dropped off a laptop a month ago. No joke, a month ago. I haven’t received any updates on when it would be repaired, even though I was told multiple times that I would be getting updates. I have called the place for the past few days asking for updates. It took nearly an hour of calling to finally get someone to pick up the phone, where i was told that i would be getting an update and that they would call me back. they never did call me back, so i called them again about three hours after that original phone call. When the guy picked up the phone I said i still haven’t gotten any updates or phone calls back about my laptop, and he responded, basically saying “i never checked the tracking”. If you need to get a laptop repaired, do not take it here if you need it in the next month or two. Now i’m going through school without a laptop. you would be better off ordering the part yourself, and watching youtube videos on how to fix it. i guarantee it’ll be faster, and probably a higher quality job. If i could rate this place zero stars, i would.
Same with others, they simply took my almost new laptop that I spilled wine on and never gave it back.I communicated clearly and said that I might not have enough money for a repair and if they will still give me my laptop back in that case and they reassured me they will. If they would give my laptop back, Id get it repaired in my own country as I did in similar spill situations before, or at least sell it for details. I usually try to be polite and clear in my communications, but their audacity and scam like attitude is just simply frustrating. I cant believe Athens community let business like that exist. I hope they will close down, I hated how they were ignoring me by calls and emails for weeks but acted like nice people in person.This is a scam, dont use their services.When I came to them, they tried to give me another laptop that was a completely old laptop with other stickers... And they pretended that it is my laptop. They said it has this ticket number, it cant be wrong. Gotta love being gaslighted, and acting like I wouldnt recognize my almost own laptop.. As previous comment author, I believe they just sold my laptop or used the details... They also kept demanding softly for me to pay $90 to get my information from my laptop, and eventually they said they couldnt do it, and they simply didnt find my laptop(of course, they probably sold it or used for details). The workers were polite when i talked to them, but their whole working scheme is a scam, if I stayed longer in the US, I would also try to go to my lawyer. This was the most horrible service Ive ever got in the US.
I gave them my computer with the information that it would take a week because that is what I was told. After almost three I now have my computer. I tried to call multiple times to check on my computers progress and no one ever answered or responded to my voicemails. It does seem to be working but if you need something done timely I would look other places.

This business has had my laptop for over a year, and my brother in laws iPad for longer than 8 months, for a simple screen repair. I call the company a lot trying to get a hold of the technician/owner and every time I get the same response of them not being there today or we will check the status and get back with you at the end of the business day to no avail. I recently have started preparing for legal action as they refuse to give me my laptop back or compensate for a new laptop. This is the worst business I have ever interacted with and I hope that they are forced to close down as their entire business model is to scam people. Honestly would not be surprised if they had fixed my laptop months ago and sold it to someone else.
I wish I could give this establishment 0 stars. In January, I paid $426.00 for parts and labor to have my daughters Apple computer screen repaired. They had to order the screen, which, according to them was delivered by the post office on the weekend and stolen. I was told they would have to file an insurance complaint through the post office before I would receive a refund. 10 MONTHS LATER. Nothing. No refund, no contact. They never even touched my daughters computer, but kept all of my money. I have contacted them DOZENS of time. I am told that the manager, Denis, will call me back. I NEVER get a call back. This place is a sham. You are better off going literally ANYWHERE else. They are unprofessional and, from the look of their reviews, dont care about customer service. At this point, I have given up hope of getting my $426.00. I had to pay Apple to fix the screen in Columbus. Do not go here for any of your repairs.UPDATE 12/13/20: see reply from business below. This is a LIE. I ordered the screen for my daughter IN JANUARY 2020. Its been almost ONE YEAR. I was TOLD by this company that my part was stolen on the weekend and they were waiting for the Post Office to insure the stolen part. There really should be a negative amount of stars to give! I paid more $ to have them replace my phone screen with an aftermarket screen than I could have paid an Apple store to replace it with an original screen. It didnt work properly from the moment it was handed to me and all I got was well check into that. In 4 months it had stopped working entirely and I got well look into that and call you. Im still waiting for that call and theyve stopped answering mine.
SCAM WARNINGI had to get a whole new debit card to do a chargeback. They have a no refund policy and do not give refunds.I dropped off my computer two weeks ago. I tried calling them several times but they dont answer their phone during business hours which I think is a little ridiculous. They dont have an email that I can contact them at. I called several times and requested an email update as I normally am not able to answer my phone. I missed their call today, and tried to call back. No answer. I have not yet received any email correspondence as I have requested. Im so incredibly frustrated that it is a very very hard to get a hold of these people to even check on your PC. I would love for them to be able to get in contact with me so I can pick it up.Edit: I just fired up my laptop that they have claimed is fixed. The fan they fixed isnt even running now. !!BEWARE!!! Dennis Jones policy is to KEEP your payment for parts and labor even if the repair is CANCELLED due to his inability to locate the part. It is sad when a business owner is so desperate for money that he will sacrifice his reputation. I absolutely would not leave a device with personal info on it with them. Brought in my phone after it stopped working for them to look at. It took them over a week to get back to me at all. They told me a part was broken and the couldnt repair it even though the part is extremely common and cheap. Then they took over an entire day to put the phone back together, and when they finally gave me the phone back they didnt even put back the broken part so now my phone just has a open hole in it.tl:dr they are extremely slow, unprofessional, and in my personal opinion they dont know what they are doing.
5 stars. Definitely give these people a shot. Its a local business first of all. Secondly my experience was fast, relatively cheap, and the only place I could find to fix our store tablet for less than it cost originally. Obviously there are some things that cant be fixed or isnt worth fixing, but thats life and not these peoples fault. I cant imagine the random technology people try to bring them every day. Athens is lucky to have this service.
My macbook had water spilled on it and would not turn on or charge. I called and they were able to get me in immediately and I had my laptop back and working within hours for only $90. Great service!

I took a phone in for a charger port repair & paid $90, and was told 1.5 hours. Six days later (no joke), the phone was STILL NOT FIXED, and they have a no refunds policy. Got my property back but not after forcing the issue. This also happened to a close friend of mine. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I run my own company in Athens & have for 17 years, and I would immediately fire anyone who treated customers the way they treated me over the last week. Absolutely awful, awful, awful.
Recovered lost data from my old phone and transferred it to my new phone. They were very willing to answer my questions about any device I had. Kept me posted through the process. Happy with the service.
IF I COULD GIVE THIS BUSINESS A NEGATIVE REVIEW I WOULD! I rarely review things but this is necessary. I originally had such an amazing experience with them in May so I dropped off my Apple Watch in June to be fixed. It is now December and I still have yet to even get an update from them on it! I have called weekly and it seems that every time I get the excuse that “parts are behind on shipping”, but most recently found out that the parts were never ordered in the first place. I thought, okay great well at-least I know and they can get it ordered and fixed. HA, was I wrong. Another 2 months has passed and still absolutely nothing from them. They tried to give my Apple Watch back to me in pieces with no refund. Do not recommend this business at all!
Got my iPhone 6s battery replaced today. The process is quick and the price reasonable. I will see how this replacement works, but so far it got the issue with my phone fixed.
I have used their services probably at least 5 times for multiple different iphone and PC laptop issues. They are honest in their work and fair in their prices. Definitely the best option in the Athens area for repairs.
This place is a scam. I needed a watch battery replaced. October 29th I Ieft a $69 deposit, it is now February I was there 5 times in last 2 weeks with a different excuse everytime. Dont bring in anything here.
I brought my sons iPhone in to have a new screen put on & the repair was done right away very pleased. The front camera aLso needed replaced but needed to be ordered. This was 4 months ago & im still waiting for the part for the phone still to date. I called several times & was told Someone would call me back to let me know where my already paid for iPhone camera is but I never get a call back and get told the same thing when I call again and again. I would not ever recommend this business for any electronics repairs ever!!
I dropped off my computer yesterday first thing in the morning and was told it would be done yesterday. It was not so I called last night and was told I would be called in the morning. I was not contacted then either and I tried to swing by around 11:50 but you all had closed early. I’m on a time crunch because I am headed back home for thanksgiving tomorrow. I’ve tried to call but it just goes to voicemail. I’m very disappointed at this communication. I just need my laptop back it doesn’t have to be fixed or anything
Never in my life have I had to deal with a company such as this. To receive a response, I had to call and leave 15 Voicemails. 15. Nobody would answer the phones and I actually had to drive to the store. TWICE. just to get my phone screen fixed. Long story short they did not fix it. The owner told me hed give me a call In the morning. Never did. Same thing next week. Never did. Luckily my credit card company understands that BOGUS companies like this exist and I disputed the 300$ payment. This was the most frustrating encounter I have ever had when trying to pay for a service. Very unproffesional, dull workers, out of date systems. Overall a terrible experience. The owner actually replied to a Facebook message recently, basically making up 15 different excuses as to why his company cant do the most simple cell phone repair. I have only heard bad things from here and wish I did my research. I know some people have actually ended up with unfixable phones after Dennis Jones, the owner, worked on them. I hope nobody deals with this nonsense as I had to. Place is basically a SCAM. Go to a real repair shop, I know the one on east state street never gave me any problems. That being said, one employee on the phone was very understanding and tried to help as best she could. That is all.
This place damaged my phone. After two months trying o get my screen for my phone repaired they lied to me every step of the way. I only recently found out that this place does this all the time. They will cheat you. If a poor reair is done, they dont want to give you a refund. Their time estimates on repairs are way off and they take a lot longer than comparable places. Other peoples phones have been damaged here too and they try to keep their money. Dont waste your time with these shady people.

Absolutely terrible experience! My girlfriend and I dropped off my ps4 for repair and never got the free estimate they told me I would receive. Never heard anything back from them in over two weeks until my girlfriend called them and they told her that they would contact me with an estimate but that never came. The only time they contacted us was to tell us it was fixed and that it would be $90. No parts were needed and the charge was for an hour of labor. Would not recommend.
Take your phone elsewhere. This place failed to fix mine, gave me false information throughout the process (how long things would take, if/when they would contact me, whether my phone would be reassembled when it was returned to me, etc.), and still owes me SEVENTY DOLLARS to this day. I have emailed, called, and addressed this issue in person with them 5+ times and they just give me the run-around. They told me they’d attempt to fix my phone and if they fixed it, I’d be charged the higher fee. If they weren’t able to fix it, I’d be charged the lower one. Before even starting the work, they went ahead and charged me the higher fee. When they weren’t able to fix my phone, I assumed they’d reimburse me for the extra money they charged. After some time, I had still not been reimbursed so I reached out. They would not reply via email. I called and was told that whoever could speak to me about that issue was not currently available and that I should call back later. So I did. And they continued to feed me similar lines until finally I requested that they take a message for me, with my contact info, and give it to whichever employee needs to see it. They did acknowledge that I was over-charged, and at least one employee even apologized yet I STILL have never had my $70 returned to me and I doubt I ever will. At first I thought incompetence, by now I think I’ve been scammed. If you have the option, I sincerely suggest you go elsewhere.
I went here to get my phone fixed after totally shattering the screen. Super fast and friendly service. After fixing the screen, they noticed my battery was damaged from the break too, and offered to install a new one with a discount which I very much appreciated. If you need your phone fixed go here, theyve got great prices, theyre fast, theyre helpful, and theyre very friendly to chat with.
What an awesome place! I was in and out in 25 minutes with a cracked iPhone screen and a home button that wouldn’t work. Repairs cost $160. I also loved the fact that I could watch the repairs while they were being done, which is super cool. Cool old radios and other electronics on shelves, as well... Thank you so much, y’all! Oh, and there’s a Skittles machine in the front. Sweet!
They have had my Samsung Galaxy 6s active since Oct.2,2020.I took it there just to get a new battery.I have called several times to check on it and I get the run around about they had to order a part for my phone and the part is coming from China.The receptionist says let me check with Denise to see what’s going on and I will call you back.She don’t call me back.I heard good raves about this place and that’s why I took my cell phone to them.I am not a happy customer!
This place is a scam. They do not return calls, emails or your most importantly your device. Last few positive reviews were fake as their store front wasnt even open.
Worst place ever!! Dont go there!! Payed for overnight shipping and was promised the phone ready in 2 days. Took them over 2 weeks!! Ask for overnight shipping cost back but they refused. Picked up the phone and it was more messed up than before. Ask for a detailed receipt but they said they dont do this and I need to leave the store now. Called them back, because I dont feel safe going there again but they blocked my number. Had to buy a new phone because they totally messed up my old one.

I took my iPhone 6s in because it was completely dead. Unfortunately, it could not be fixed. Jason diagnosed it, explained it all to me, and didn’t charge me a dime! I respect their honesty and will use their service, if need be, again.
This guy knows his stuff. Very knowledgeable and informative. Very reasonable prices too. If he cant fix it.... Its not fixable. If you go any place else youre being silly. Call this guy and save your phone and your money.
Great location. They didnt have my part in stock, but ordered it and it arrived the day he said it would. Said it would take him about an hour to fix it, took him 20mins. Beautiful work. Definitely a place to return to (if needed)!!

Place is a joke. My sons playstation has been there since january. They will not answer or when they do, they are working on it. He was also charged in full at time of drop off. Time for civil court
All these recent reviews with negative comments sure seem an awful lot like some competition attempting to trash talk a business, not actual customers :) Should prob focus on your own business and stop worrying about your competition /shrug Must just be that bored and annoyed with your lack of business that you have to try and de-rep your competition. Should probably find something better to do with your time :)
I went get a new charging port put in my phone which would of been $70 . They checked to make sure it was bad but found out it just needed cleaned. They cleaned it and only charged $10. They could of said its bad and charged the $70.
I was going to have to buy a brand new phone all because my charging port went bad. This guy ordered the part, mind you I was in a different state and he still ordered it, and called me in two days time and said it was ready. I told him I would be there that weekend. I arrived and he fixed it within 20 minutes of me sitting there. He is amazing and will fix pretty much anything you give him.
If it was an option I would not even waist a star on these people! Here’s why:Took my iPhone in to have Dennis do data recovery on it. Dropped it off on the 19th of February(2020). He told me he would try and recover my photos/ videos. I called daily plus stopped in there on multiple occasions to see where the status was with it because it had to be shipped back to att. Everyday I got a different response, such as “the power has been out all day, boss isn’t here so I’ll have him call you back when he gets in, I’m not sure where he’s at with progress.” For 9 days this went on. I picked it up and he put 482 photos back on my phone. 313 of the photos were photos of another family that he somehow got off my original phone that was brand new straight from att. He told me if I got another 10 day extension that he could guarantee me that he could recover almost all of my stuff! So I got the extension plus was informed that same day that I dropped it off that there was now a $200 deposit fee. But that would bump me to top priority. So stupid me paid that. Throughout the 10 days I was told the parts needed to be ordered, they were on the way, he’s been working on it, the computer software has been out all day, I’ll call you back after hours to give you an update, here’s my cell phone number if you can’t reach me at the shop ( which my calls were never answered), oh and the best one yet- the parts just came yesterday. Finally on day 9 I stopped in there and told Dennis I wanted my phone and money back because he got no where with it and waisted my time and money. He told me to come back the next day to get my money back because he didn’t have it on hand. So I came back the next day and was told it would be 15 minutes he had to run to the atm. After 20 minutes he gave me $100 and said he didn’t have the rest that someone had to come back and get his card to get money out of it (which he had just went to the atm supposedly 🙄) or I could come back the next day and get the rest. So I waited... another 20 minutes went by he had finally handed me the rest of the cash! I took it to another shop to see what kind of damage that Dennis had done to it. Come to find out he had cut both sides of the phone(which is not the correct way to open the phone) and took parts out of my iPhone. This business is VERY SHADY! I do not recommend anyone bringing anything here.
A terrible place for phone repairs. Unfortunately, it is the only one around for non-iPhones. The man requires up-front payment for ordering parts and when the phone that he fixed doesnt work, and you politely ask him to look at it again and fix it (like he was paid to do), he says it will cost more. When you ask him if you could get a refund for the service that was not received, he says nothing and points at a sign that says no refunds. He was very rude and uncaring that he failed to fix the phone he was paid to fix. It took him about 2 weeks longer than he said it would take and didnt even fix the phone correctly. Very bad business man. Im pretty sure his business is a front as well.

Reply by owner is blaming the pandemic when my issue was before it happened. Read full review. Shameful by owner to try this. Removed star for that, so now 1 instead of 2.They removed some corrosion for free for me which is the only reason they get 2 stars. I brought my laptop in on thursday and had a terrible experience, unfortunately they are the only ones nearby. The associate seemed to have no idea what he was doing, repeatedly asking if I was someone else, asking about different laptops or even phones that werent mine, and asking what was wrong repeatedly. The only issue was that my charging port had corrosion in it, which I explained multiple times. He examined my laptop under a microscope, yet seemed to have no idea he was looking at a headphone jack instead of the charging port until I explained it to him. He complained about his job, kept looking off into the distance, covering his eyes with his hands, sighing loudly, etc. He told me they would be able to replace the port for around 40 dollars and would call me back later that day or friday morning. With no calls, I called back Friday afternoon. They were unable to find me in their system and told me they didnt even know who owned my laptop or what was wrong with it, so I had to repeat that whole process. I wasnt contacted again until monday when they told me they had determined that the charging port had corrosion in it, which I already knew. Said it would cost around 120 dollars to replace (not 40) and be 1-2 weeks and that they might break my screen doing so which would be an additional 150, almost 300 after taxes. I went in to look at it since they said they had cleaned the corrosion off but when tested it still didnt charge. Plugged it into the wall for me and it immediately started charging just fine. They left quite a bit of corrosion in the charging port despite cleaning it. Ultimately I came away feeling that they had repeatedly lied to me and generally were not upfront about what was going on.Edit:The reply by the owner is trying to make it seem like the covid19 pandemic was an issue during my visit. My visit was before that occurred and it had nothing to do with the poor service. Their reply addressed nothing that occurred while I was there and the pandemic occurred well after my visit. To the owner, it is shameful that you would take advantage of a pandemic to try and explain away issues that happened before.

Dennis, the owner, is a rude person. He took close to 2 weeks to fix my phone and he didnt even fix it. When I asked for a refund because he didnt follow through on his end, he didnt even say a word and simply pointed at a no refunds sign. I will never be taking or recommending any service to this place. His business is shady and unprofessional.
Wish I could give negative stars for the service I received here. I paid $80 for a screen replacement as well as buying a new $10 screen protector from them AND left a $10 tip on top of it all. The very next day after getting my screen replaced the touch on my screen wasnt working very well and after further examining I noticed the screen popping completely out of my phone!! I tried to push the screen back down so the inside of my phone wasnt exposed and the pressure left a small crack on the top of the screen. I went in the day after that to speak to the gentleman about the problem with my screen and ask about a possible replacement or discount, or even advice on how to fix it myself. He started getting angry right away, telling me that he has replaced thousands of phones and that there was absolutely no way he made a mistake and that it was my fault it was broken. After trying and failing to get it through to him that there is no other reason my screen would be popping out of my phone (since I had a brand new screen protector, case on it and had not dropped it in the time since he had replaced it) I left the store for I had no option on paying for ANOTHER replacement service after working so hard to save up for this one. I would never recommend Athens Cell Phone and Electronics Repair to ANYONE. It has been over 2 months and I have finally saved up enough to take my service to Athens iPhone Repair Inc on 447 E State St. My hope from this review is to stop anyone before they waste their time and hard-earned money as well as helping them to avoid distasteful and rude customer service. The owner here is very knowledgable. I have a macbook pro and was having problems with my logic board. He tore the computer down and diagnosed the problem after checking what sounded like every circuit, relay, and connection that was on the board. The repair would have been too costly for me so i didnt proceed but he diagnosed the problem thoroughly all for free!

They are false advertising by even calling themselves a computer repair place. I took my computer to be repaired there and they had it for three weeks. During that time they had terrible communication with me and did almost no work on it besides making the problem worse. When I received my computer back it was in worse shape than before and they had no idea what they were talking about. Wish I could give less than one star.
Super fast service, He was able to order the part for my phone in in about 3 days time. When I showed up to have the service performed, he finished the battery replacement in about 30 minutes from the time I stepped foot inside.

Great service i took my iPhone 6 to replace the battery my battery would die quickly after full charge he opened it up and took a. Look my battery was leaking battery acid ge replaced it within 29 mins and my phone works great
My SIM card wasnt working after I put in a foreign SIM while overseas. He put a piece of tape on the SIM and now it works. And he didnt even charge me for it!
