Thank you for being so friendly and knowledgeable. Coming in to the office can be stressful as a customer and the staff here is ALWAYS very pleasant and helpful. There is no feeling that they are out to get you. Great customer service on the phone too.

I paid for my tag online on 8/31/2020 with extra fees for ordering online, now here we are 9/28/2020 and I still havent received my decal. There is no information online that says it will take over a month to receive a decal. Now Im told there is a 10 day hold for online orders and then possibly a 2-3 week wait for your decal to be mailed. Oh, but if you are pulled over, your new registration will show in the system! What??

Very helpful and knowledgeable employees, even when the lines are long they move fast. I have had my service dog with me each time I come to the facility and it is never a problem or even mentioned. They are even able to look up and issue you a new handicap placard if your old one was stolen like mine was without you (and them) having to go through all the paperwork again, getting your doctor’s signature, etc. They always make polite conversation while printing out your new registration, placard, or whatever you need and they are more than happy to answer any questions. Very efficient office.

TOP NOTCH wonderful people working in this tag office. My situation was extremely complicated and I came at closing time and the staff was absolutely wonderful from the minute I walked in having the long line running smooth and efficiently all the way until I walked out the door which was 30 minutes AFTER closing time. The manager, Neil Hefner, is AWESOME and he is out and about talking to people in line and to his employees. This man even came out to my car with me with a screw driver and put the new plate on my car!!! Juliette is also AWESOME figuring out the mess of my situation with kindness and patience and smiles. THANK YOU CLARKE COUNTY TAG OFFICE!! You totally made my day and the service you offer is absolutely amazing!!!

This was by far the best experience I have ever had at any tag office. I’m a college student with several complications when it comes to my addresses and thus tag renewal and everyone was so incredibly helpful and empathetic. I wish I could better say thank you to everyone!

Want to say thanks to Theresa Powers for going out of her way to help me get an issue cleared up! Everyone we’ve encountered at this office has been helpful and friendly. Very unlike the one we used in AL where they’re so underfunded no one even answers the phone.

Teresa Powers was AMAZING!!! She made it so easy for me to get my tags and even helped me navigate my insurance to activate it for the state. I wish there were more of her to go around in the world. It would be a better place :)

Staff is not very friendly or helpful, but the wait times are not long. They send out your renewal notice in plenty of time and your tag sticker is shipped promptly.

People be careful when dealing with this office they will tell you one thing over the phone and then when you get there its something totally different its a money thing not covered 19.

The ladies of this office are so super nice. Its a change from other govt departments. And despite seeing a long line, they accommodate people rather quickly. Another pleasure of a govt. office you seldom encounter.

I wanted to personally thank the ATH - Clarke County Tag office for a job well done. I had been given an erroneous title and they worked over two days to sort me out and were kind and professional and fast. I appreciate their care in my odd situation. Five stars!

They will send you vehicle registration renewal notice ahead of the time. You may take advantage of the internet by renewing your tag online at mvd.dor.ga.gov./tags/index.aspx using your vehicle renewal registration number (RIN).You can also renew it by mail for only $1....Or simply go the tag office with your driver license.Just bring your check book to avoid fees charged on your credit or debit card.Expect to spend 5 to 20 minutes on average.

I am always so pleasantly surprised by how kind and helpful the staff is at this office. Such a refreshing difference from the typical DMV/Tag Office experience.

No waiting (part luck of course), personable and efficient service. looked up the vehicle from my driving license and took payment by credit card. whole process took less than five minutes!Im totally satisfied. the state has really improved its service.

Malinda Matthews helped us and was without a doubt the most helpful person we have encountered since moving to Athens. She was extremely professional and went the extra mile to ensure that we were taken care of before the offices closed for the weekend.

The staff was really kind. Though this was my first time the lady at the counter made sure everything went very smooth. Everything was done in a flash.FYI: there is place on the web page which shows you the queue every 2 min.so that you can plan accordingly.

The tag office on Lexington Road is a pleasure to do business with. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous, helpful and efficient. There are no long lines, nor surly employees. Do not dread getting your tag renewed or your car registered.

The folks at the Athens-Clarke DMV on Lexington Hwy. are always great, pleasant and easy to do business with. I hardly ever wait in line or only for a short time. We moved here from Southern California where you waited in line for hours, had to have an appointment and you were just a number. Thanks AC DMV and keep up the awesome job!!!

The wait is way too long!! After an 30 minute wait, I finally get to the window where there are 3 workers and over 15 people in line. To realize i did not have any cash, ran across the street...literally and less then 5 minutes i was back. Once i approached the window, the teller tells me to get at the end of the line!!! When all of my paperwork is still sitting beside her with the new tag. It took over an hour to drive here, 30 minute wait....only to wait another 30 minutes. Needless to say, i will not be coming back to this location.

Waiting time was minimum, the attendant was very nice, and the place itself was clean. No complaints.

Very rude when I called at the end of the day (around 4:40 pm). I wanted information on transferring my registration to a different county, and I was rushed off the phone due to holiday traffic. I would be more understanding if my call had lasted more than the 3:02 as recorded on my call log. She practically hung up on me.

Everyone was very helpful and friendly both on the phone beforehand and in the office when I came in to get my car title replaced.

Ive lived quite a few places and Ive never seen a tag office as happy and friendly as this one. I dont go often, but every time Ive gone its been a great experience!!

Great Folks - When I moved from small town Lakemont GA (where the DMV folks were wonderful), I thought that I might . not like a big city DMV; WRONG!! The folks at the Athens Tag Office have been great. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It has been 8 years now, and every visit has been a pleasure. Especially an old guy who has a good sense of humor - I try to get him every time I go - but all have been excellent.

The staff was very helpful and the wait time was minimal. Be advised that if you pay with a credit/debit card, there is a 3% charge.

The line moves quickly and the folks running the place are nice and helpful. Also, they answer the phone when you call.

Everytime I have visited, I have had a helpful experience. However, I tried to call several times this afternoon at regular intervals, and the phone isnt even ringing. There is only a busy tone with no message.
