I took my son here 3 weeks ago for his first professional haircut, before that day my husband had been cutting it due to my child being very sensory sensitive. The haircut itself went good, but a few days to a week later i noticed he had a dry patch on the back of his head, i thought it was eczema related, i took him to his pediatrician today and she thoroughly examined his scalp and its a ringworm! He got this from the clippers that were used to cut his hair. It is honestly so heartbreaking that the first time i take him to get his haircut this has happened. I regret ever taking him, now he has to take medicine for the next 4 weeks to get it cleared up. you would think with c19 going around there would be extra precaution to fully clean clippers being used for children!! I will never return back to this location!

My husband took my son to this place and he loved it. The quality of service was great, very attentive and patient with the parents and children. I really recommend this place is your child is having a hard time with hair cuts. They work with your child and make sure he is comfortable and safe while they patiently do their job. My son always has a difficult time getting his haircut, Mike cut my sons hair and he was great with him my son started crying as soon as he got in the chair but he knew exactly what to do he was able to cut my sons hair and kept him calm throughout the service he was very professional and we were very happy the service was beyond our expectations he made sure my sons hair was even and his hair looks great we will be returning back with Mike ! The person who cut my child’s hair was very nice, my child did great for her first haircut. But I paid for the first haircut package and the before and after photos were both blurry. And it wasn’t until I was home with her hair dry that I realized how choppy and uneven it was. Her hair was longer in the back than the front and her bangs were uneven so we discussed trimming it so it was more even to help it grow better. It is still uneven in the front and back and very short. Almost a boys haircut. I’m heartbroken that my child’s first haircut is a botched haircut

Karina was very patient was my anxious 3 year old. He hates having the hair on his neck or around his ears trimmed. She showed him it was nothing to be scared of. She was so patient. At other salons they would get frustrated with his crying and not finish his hair cut properly. However they were not kid salons. This was the first hair cut he had that he did not cry during. They sell toys also so I let my son get one as a treat. My baby also got his hair cut here but by a different stylist. She was also great. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on their hair. We will definitely be back. It’s very easy to call and set up an appointment.

Have came here since my sons 1st haircut and years later they still amaze! Carina always does an amazing job and is very nice! All the ladies are always very nice from my experience. Definitely reccomend!!

We came in recently to have our first hair cut with our little boy. We were referred to Karina from a friend. She did a GREAT job... considering our son was not a easy client. She was patient, kind, and communicative towards us, as the parent, to help us help her! We will be back!

The first time my son has not cried during a haircut! I will definitely bring him here every time now. The staff is so friendly and made the experience that much better.

I did plenty of research before taking my 19 month old daughter here to get her first haircut. I saw the reviews and I was confident about my decision, unfortunately it was a decision I regretted immediately. I chose this place because it’s focus is on children, so I figured they had plenty of experience and techniques to get the job done correctly, especially since kids rarely sit still. I was wrong. For starters, the person who cut my daughter’s hair seemed to be in a bad mood. My daughter is a very happy child and with a simple peek a boo, she becomes very trusting. I assumed that just like all places that focus on children, they would begin by trying to make my daughter feel comfortable, but on the contrary, the hairstylist did not acknowledge my daughter and immediately began chopping her hair off as if she was in a hurry and ignored my daughters cries. During the cut she continuously nodded her head as in frustration (I’m assuming because of my daughters cries). I do admit my daughter was moving and crying, but that’s exactly why I took her to a place that is meant to be for kids, I expected the hairstylist to be understanding and friendly with my daughter so my daughter would feel comfortable and be still. I take responsibility for expecting them to go above and beyond for the children they work with. Skip forward to the actual haircut, I wanted my daughter’s front hairs to be cut into bangs. I specifically said that I did not want her bangs to be too short and I wanted them to be cut up to her eyebrow line. The hairstylist did not listen and cut them way way to short, not even covering half of her forehead. When I reiterated that I didn’t want them short, she said she had to because my baby “had a specific head shape”. I don’t know what that is supposed to mean but regardless, if I ask for a certain haircut at a certain length, and I am paying, I expect it to be done as I say. At no time did I tell her to do what she thought looked best in her opinion. I also asked that the rest of my daughter’s hair be trimmed. When she was “done” with the cut, I was so ready to get out, I did not feel like fighting over 30 bucks so I hurried up and grabbed my daughter and walked out. I cried all the way home feeling like a horrible mother for putting my daughter through that and giving her such a horrible haircut. Well when I got home, I got a chance to look at it right and the back that was supposed to be trimmed had several thick locks of hairs that passed over an inch of the line to where she cut the rest of the hair. I had to go in with scissors to even it out myself. All this during the first appointment of the day when no other customer was in the store and no one showed up within 10 minutes of us exiting the store. I know, because I sat in my car looking at my daughter and crying over that haircut for 10 minutes before leaving.It took me three weeks to get over the guilt of putting my daughter through that to write this review. Rest assured that I will never return. The only positives are that I learned a lesson, that my daughters hair will eventually grow back, and this will be something we laugh about when we look back at pictures. Not yet though because I still have to deal with the guilt until my baby’s hair grows out.Looking at the responses from the owner to negative comments, I can’t imagine I’ll hear anything positive back. I just hope this is a wake up call to the owners to speak to their employees about customer satisfaction and friendliness. I will say that the girl at the cash register was very nice and by her kindness, I’m sure she could tell that I was upset.

My son is autistic with very high sensory issues. This is by far, the best haircut experience ever for our little guy. We will definitely be coming back to see Karina. He was still uncomfortable with the ear area but she was very patient and did a great job. Thank you!

I was super nervous to take my 6 month old to get her ears pierced, but after reading the reviews, we decided to bring her here. Although it was one hour away from home, it was very well worth it! The place is super cute and the workers are very patient, and kind. My appt was at 3, and they were ready for us! Her little earrings look great on her and I couldn’t have asked for a better team of people! Thank you guys again!

Always friendly and fast. DEA and Bernie are our favorites but everyone there does a great job. We started coming here when my son was 18 months old. Hes 4 and 1/2 now. A little more $ than your typical hair cut but well worth it!

After moving to Atascocita I knew I wanted to find a new kids cut place for my son. I looked one up and found this place nearby so I drove over there and had to schedule an appointment. When they took us in we got Karina and I was VERY satisfied with her services. As she was cutting my sons hair she was giving me some useful info when it comes to cutting boys hair. She was very kind and patient with my son and she did an amazing job. They even give the kids a little treat after they are done! Im so happy I found this place and I will definitely be going back.

Our first time here was great, they followed all Covid guidelines perfectly, greated us as soon as we walked in and made it a better experience than we were expecting. If I could give more stars I would. Our stylist was very patient and understanding. This truly is a place for the kids!

We got my sons first haircut done here. Dia did a great job. She introduced the clippers before she started using them, was patient with his wiggles, and the cut looks great. It is a little pricey, in my opinion, but I will probably bring my kid back for more haircuts because they have all the things to keep a young child (1 year old) who cant sit still through a haircut entertained. They have movies playing, and cars, planes, and motorcycles to sit in instead of traditional chairs. They also most likely have more experience being patient with a squirmy kid.

They were absolutely wonderful for our kiddos! Totally worth it for them to feel comfortable enough to sit still! 😅

Came towards the end of the day to avoid the morning/afternoon crowd. Wait time was 5 minutes. My son couldnt decide what seat to take since each one has a theme. He decided on the police car and drove me crazy w/ the siren. Overall great cut and they keep notes of the cut to replicate it next time.

I love that my son’s first haircut was here! Karina is amazing! She was so sweet and so patient with my crying one year old. I feel so much more at ease knowing she will be nice and understanding! Amazing job too!

I have only taken my son here and have been pleased. I didn’t give 5 stars because the last time they asked for his info and asked if I wanted what he got last time? I said yes. Well.. it was 100% NOT what he got last time. I started to intervene when I realized and luckily it was still cute. I wasn’t mad because I liked the end result but it could have gone completely different and another parent may be more upset. So, double, triple check it’s the correct child and the haircut is agreed upon. I’ll be showing photos each time now. Even if your kid has a unique name like mine, don’t trust they’re the only ones with that name.

Used to bring my younger brother and he loved it. He got so used to it. I was late maybe 2 minutes passed the 5 minute gap they give us because traffic was heavy on a rainy day and they asked me to reschedule because I was late and they were falling behind. It’s absurd how I can wait 10-15 minutes outside because they’re falling behind but other parents can’t. The store was empty no customers. I won’t be coming back to this place.

The cut really depends on the stylist. We’ve gotten some great cuts here and some terrible ones. The thing that keeps us coming back is that it’s so kid friendly and so darn convenient.

I was able to call and schedule my 6 2/2 month ears to be pierced within an hour. They were on time and they did both ears at the same time. Super friendly. Im impressed

This was our first experience with Shear Madness and my children loved it. The staff were professional and friendly. There were activities for my daughter to do while we waited for my son to get his haircut. My son loved the cool chairs and that he could watch a movie of his choice while getting his haircut. Bern cut his hair and did a fantastic job. Bern was very patient with my energetic son. We came in 10 minutes before closing and did not feel rushed at all. We will definitely come back.

The ladies here were awesome!! They were very patient with my 5 month old while trying to pierce her ears. And I am very pleased with the outcome.

I took my 5 month old in to get her ears pierced and we had a great experience. We walked in at the end of a girls party and it was lovely seeing them with nails, hair, and makeup done and having fun. The piercing was quick and simple enough and seems to be healing okay now about 3 weeks in. Their selection on earrings was a little slim but we found some nice studs. I definitely recommend this place!

The stylists are great with kids! Im not going anywhere else. Kids get to play XBOX while getting a haircut. How cool is that? Everybody were so professional and friendly. They even cut parents hair if your kid is a client. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend!!! I have two children, an 8 year old with disabilities and a 3 year old rowdy boy! The whole staff was so patient with my kids! My son kept switching chairs, wanting to be held, just all over the place and they went with him. Where ever he went, they followed and made sure he was comfortable to do his hair. I appreciated that so much!!!My daughter jerks sometimes when you try to make her sit still, and they were also understanding of that and didn’t get frustrated. Overall it’s a great place and I’ll continue to go back!

This is a very kid friendly place that makes it a fun experience. The staff is so friendly and helpful! Both of my daughters get their hair cut here and they have always done an excellent job. We also enjoy the cute hair accessories for sale too.

We brought my almost 3 year old here for his first haircut this past weekend and I was so nervous to cut his precious curls! Dia was amazing!! She was so patient with my son and made the whole process so smooth and fun for him! His cut looks great and we will be back!!

I randomly googled “baby ear piercing” & this cute little place popped up! They were clean, professional, nice & quick!! My 4mth old literally cried 2seconds after they pierced her ears & was spitting laughing & smiling before we left.Thank you guys SO MUCH!!!!!!!!

Karina is the best! She has cut both of my boys hair but more recently our crazy almost 2 year old. We were do nervous about how he would but she was so great with him and gave him the cutest haircut! The salon itself is cute, clean and has a little toy shop area in the front where you can buy bows, small toys and hair products! We will not be taking our baby anywhere else for his haircuts!

We love this place. I have a 2 year old son who has ASD and is very easily overwhelmed. We have had a good experience everytime we go and they are very good with my son. We have always called to schedule an appointment that way there is no wait.

So happy with the service! We walked in at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon right before closing and the staff was friendly and warm. My son sat through the haircut without screaming (which was a first) and the result was wonderful. Bernadette was so gentle with him and his hair looks great! We will definitely go back!

It was the first official hair cut for my 2 year old and 1 year old. Large child-friendly barber seats with straps to keep them in. Cartoons playing near by and the staff were friendly. My older boy was being difficult but they were patient and professional. The height of the chairs made it easy for me to intervene and help hold him still. Will be going back.

Just finished his 1st hair cut. The most amazing 1st experience. Dee cute his hair and she was outstanding. My baby moved a whole bunch and she was working it like if he was sitting still the entire time. Loved this place. I will be coming back to Dee . Nathan was my boys name.

This place was not too bad but it wasnt what they make it seem. They pierced my daughters ears and it wasnt too bad but they werent even one is noticeably higher than the other. Nice and friendly staff tho so like I said not too bad.

We enjoy going here for our sons haircut. I wish they had better belts for the kids in the cars. But overall they are quick and get things done when you have a fussy 1 year old.

By far the best place Ive ever gotten a haircut. I found it pretty cool that they let us big kids play on an Xbox. The staff was really friendly and I was in and out pretty fast. We find the price reasonable, sport clips is about the same, but here they specialize in kids and are patient and gentle. we have been a few times and have come out happy with good hairstyles. you just have to know what you want and be specific. I went ready with a picture of what I wanted. It is worth the money. I do hate it when people talk trash about good places. If you dont like the price, cut your kids hair yourself!

We took our daughter in because her normal place was booked. Dee took care care of us and did an amazing job. The salon was kid friendly and clean and everyone smiled. I think we found our new normal place!

We visited today and our little boy loved it there! They have really cool police, fire, etc cars kids can sit in while they get their hair done. This is the first week this location was open and we were the only ones in there. The entire staff was very friendly and really made our almost 2 year old love his time there. Nicole did great with his hair cut and was able to keep him calm the entire visit. They have some toys and books for sale as well. The price was very fair. I think it was only about $17.We will be back often!!!

Haircuts were ok at best. The stylist was rude on attempting to cut my boys hair and she didnt seem comfortable enough with kids. I was going further to Cool Cuts for Kids in Friendswood and it seems as if I have to keep going there. Complete utter was of time.

My son had so much fun, he forgot he was getting his hair cut and my daughter was so excited to get her nails painted. After getting a bad haircut at Five Star Elite Fades we were nervous but desperate to get my sons haircut fixed before picture day (which is tomorrow). Called and got an appointment in the same day. We were greeted by Karina who we begged to please fix his hair. I gave her the same direction that we gave the other place and she worked her magic. My son left smiling ear to ear. His hair was so even and cut so perfectly. He was happy that he also got to play Xbox during his haircut. We will definitely be back and recommend to everyone! Not very well organized. The manager behind the desk seemed a bit overwhelmed and we wound up getting skipped in line. When I asked if we were next she said yes, and then we were accidentally skipped again. There were several people there with their children and there wasn’t a place to sit down. After waiting for 45 minutes we finally left. Very disappointing. I had been there once before and it wasn’t bad like this at all. Like I said, disappointing.

Ive been taking my son here for his haircuts since he was a year old. Ultra kid friendly environment, and employees are always calm and happy. My son is almost three now, and is happy and excited to go get haircuts.

I decided to take my son here because I thought it would help with his haircut phobia. lol The environment was extremely kid friendly and fun. They had many different fun chairs to choose from and a tv to watch. Although my son was still upset, Dia was an amazing stylist. She was fast, gentle and patient. The hair stylist was sweet and cooperative. Informative as well, telling me step by step what she is doing and making sure I love my childs hair cut.I had my son sitting in my lap but there were truck chairs and stuff for kids.The woman at the reception was a lighthearted, sweet woman. She was training another yound lady who seemed very sweet as well.Overall I am satisfied with my childs hair cut and the place has friendly staff and LOTS of toys!!!!

Super cool place! I love how they set it up for the kids, my daughter Fell in love with the place. The stylist was friendly and professional. Haircut came out exactly how we pictured it.

No. No. No and NOMy kid totally looked stupid when we walked out of this place... need I mention it was pretty pricy for a KIDS haircut. $17 for a hack job. The lady that cut my sons hair didnt understand the directions I gave her. I told her a zero on the side and to keep the top long enough to comb over... now why did she think that meant a 3 all over? And without my consent she gave him an edge up which was 1. Crooked and 2. Was so high he looked bald. ALSO, I was trying to keep my cool- because my son was enjoying the fire engine, I gave her a small tip to be polite (even though I took him home and shaved his head bald immediately). When I checked my bank statement a few days later they obviously gave themselves an appropriate tip without my knowledge. I have a receipt and saved the tip amount and when I double checked it IT DID NOT MATCH. As far as Im concerned these people are CROOKS whom cannot follow directions verbally or by the picture I showed them. TAKE YOUR KID ELSEWHERE

Brought in my 2 year old twins for a long overdue haircut. Kayla did great on both of them ! The twins kicked and screamed the whole time and regardless Kayla did great on their haircut ! Definitely coming back !

I had my infants ears pierced here.The ladies were so gentle and professional . I cried much more then she did lol . The earrings look exactly how I envisioned on her. Just perfect . They have healed perfectly and we get compliments on them all the time .Thank you !

Incredibly friendly staff. Amazing atmosphere, service was AMAZING and Dia was very knowledgeable about styles and cuts that would look good on my child. They provide an array of services that are reasonably priced as well as a place for the kids to play while they wait.

Last time my daughter got a hair cut here, the layers were uneven😑. Booooo. This time, her hair cut was even because I kept telling the lady cutting her hair that my daughters hair was uneven. Her response was that her hair looked that way because it naturally parts on one side. What? That does not compute 🤖

Love the atmosphere! Very professional staff. My son always requests to get his hair cut at this establishment because he can play the XBOX while getting a cut. I found out they did earpiercings, so I got a second hole. On our first visit, there was a birthday party in the party room. Enjoyed their fashion show too!

Ive been going to sharkys to get my daughter hair cut these past few years, then found out about shear madness and got her hair done there. They are super friendly and have amazing patience. I love sharkys but this place is closer and just as amazing.
