Richard was amazing! We had the most wonderful ride from the airport to Cannon Beach. He suggested a great little spot for a pit stop along the way where we had the most amazing smoked salmon. He was on time, pleasant, flexible and able to recommend activities and restaurants during our stay. He was also the most reasonable among other services we called. Overall, the best experience! Richard is amazing!! He is truly the reason why our trip survived. My husband and I rented a RV for our 10 year anniversary vacation and 2 days into the trip it broke down, leaving us without lodging or transportation. Richard came and helped, no questions asked, bringing us to a nearby town so we can spend the remainder of our trip there. When we found out that we would have a hard time getting to the city for our flight back home, he adjusted his schedule so that he could take us. He made it so that we didn’t have to worry about transportation at all which really helped turn an unfortunate scenario into a much better one. He also constantly checked in on us too to make sure we were having a good time. On our rides he would even go out of his way to show us popular landmarks that we wouldn’t have made it to otherwise. Cant recommend DowntownCoffeShope Taxi enough. Richard was truly a Godsend for my family. After our car broke down during family road trip, not only he drove us to Portland for almost half the price what other local taxi companies asked for, he also had no problem with stopping at auto repair shop, so we could pick up a few things from our stuck car. When it turn out that they forgot to leave our car door open, and auto shop was closed already, he manage to contact the lady that works there in the office, and ask her come. He also gave us very precious advise regarding our broken car. Richard is the best, and it was a real privilege meeting him.

I am not from Astoria. My boyfriend travels for work and I had a non-covid medical emergency that I had. I have no idea where I am, or how to get anywhere. I didnt have a ride back from the hospital so I looked up taxis.They have their own app, much like Uber, as Uber doesnt service this area. I booked a ride and in less than 5 minutes, my ride, Richard, pulled up. Very clean and good smelling vehicle, I felt safe, had no issues. We had a little bit of issue with the address and he pulled over to take care of it without any problems.Very personable, and nice. I will definitely be using this service again and I highly, highly recommend it over any other places. Convenience, reasonably priced, and great customer service. Thanks Richard!

The cab is clean and smells nice. The driver is on time and professional. Hes driven me three or four times now and Im always impressed. I had one really bad morning when I was running late to the airport and had to move my car but locked my keys and phone and wallet in my car downtown in Astoria at 3am. Richard waited for me even though I was about two hours late at this point. After the locksmith handily unlocked my car, Richard then drove me to the airport and still got me there in time for my flight. I dont know how he did it. It was pretty miraculous. He goes beyond the call of his job and makes that extra effort for his passengers and you can tell he cares.

Richard is such a positive and considerate person and the service is amazing.Last week my husband scheduled a ride to the Portland Airport and his request was accepted promptly. The day of my husbands trip, Richard arrived early and even came to the front door to greet us and let us know he was here and helped with his bags. The drive to Portland, my husband said was comfortable and they had an uplifting and fun conversation the entire drive. There are a few more trips my husband has and Richard was happy to accommodate and be available when the time arises.Then today I needed a car to drive me to downtown Astoria for an appointment. Richard was on time and he remembered driving my husband and asked how he was doing. I gave Richard an approximate time of how long my appointment would be, it ran a bit over schedule, but Richard showed up without me having to call and even was patient enough to wait. I felt bad for keeping him waiting but he was so gracious and accommodating. It felt like having an old friend around and I cannot express my gratitude over how stress-free everything was.Highly recommend and would use this service again!

I truly believe that God brings people into your life right when you need them and thats what happened when I met Richard. I came all the way from Kansas to Astoria and I was on vacation and I had some things happen and I needed to get home and I needed to do it soon he came in the middle of the night with a call from an officer to come and get me and he met picked me up and drove me to the airport and made sure I was there safe and sound. Then later on not only did he take me there but he called me to make sure that the airport was treating me nice and that I was okay and to see if I needed anything. He was all around an amazing guy and an amazing taxi driver and I wouldnt recommend anybody else but him. I truly and honestly can never be more grateful for what he has done for me and the help that he is gave me. 5 stars all around id give him 100 but they dont have that option. First ride spent nearly 20 minutes watching the indicator spin and spin. Then, got an answer saying the driver want even in Astoria. Called another cab. Later received an email saying they decided to accept the ride and charged me.Tried a second time to return to my hotel. Spun and spun and spun without any indication. Gave up and called the other cab company again. After 5 minutes for new cab, 5 minute drive to the hotel, then back at hotel for 5 minutes, received email notice and phone call that they just showed up and were waiting for me and charged the ride. Heck, I had already given up and been back to my destination for about 5 minutes before I even received confirmation they were coming.Sticking with Royal Cab from now on.

My friend and I used this taxi service, and it far exceeded our expectations. Not only did the driver arrive early in a clean vehicle, but he got out of the cab to let us know he had arrived. The ride and the rates were great, but it was the actions that were taken the next day that set this cab service apart.I called the following day to inquire about an earring that may have been left in the cab. The driver not only checked, but he called me back to let me know it was not found, which in itself is pretty rare. Then, he continued to keep an eye out for it, asked other patrons about it, and stayed in touch. I really appreciated that he went the extra mile, and luckily the earring turned up.

An absolute angel in a cab. Cannot express how grateful for this kind soul who drove 20 miles out of town to where we were brokedown on the side of the road, took us to get parts, waited in the cold with no jacket while we got the car going which also included him giving us a jump start. He then refused to let us pay him anything for his time, and insisted on following us into town. Completely amazing man. A role model to us all.

We had great service getting around Astoria while we were in from out of town seeing the local bars. Even when we had troubles with the ATM the driver drove us to an ATM that was compatible with our cards no problem. The SUV is roomy and brand new.
