The house we bought (and love) was actually one that we had originally ruled out from our own initial search but as Alec asked about our list of wants and presented us with options we realized it checked off those most important boxes and that relatively minor adjustments could be made to have it be exactly what we were looking for. And when it came to wanting to add a bedroom in the finished basement Alec has some great insight into construction possibilities and has a lot of great contacts too.
