I have heard story after story of the billing atrocities coming from Mission. My son had a simple outpatient procedure, which we paid for in full up front. Six weeks later I’m still having to make phone calls and email bank statements to prove I’ve paid. This happened with the initial consultation copay, as well as the surgery itself. The amount I paid was different than what I was billed for. I gave a confirmation number, but that wasn’t sufficient. I emailed a statement where they told me to, it never reached its intended destination. It’s been a mess. Easily spent 10 times longer than the actual surgery took to figure out a bill I already paid! If your procedure is offered somewhere else...go! While the doctors and nurses are wonderful, billing has been a nightmare.

Wow - yes! The new billing dept in Richmond is pretty terrible. Theyve lost one of our payments and sent the bill to collections. Weve worked for six months to resolve this, at the point the credit agency seems to know more about Mission billing and where our payment went than Mission does. Its baffling! It took some serious screaming at the supervisor but she finally agreed to send it to research.

Mission has been sending bills to an address that we havent had for 5 years. Didnt find out until yesterday when we got a collections call.We had 1200.00 in collections. We updated our address 3 times in the last few years because every time we go its not been updated.2 of the bills were from 5 years ago where they didnt put in our insurance, so we had to pay the full amount because its too late to give it to them.

Can never get a call back or an answer on the phone. Trying to close out my dads estate but cant do it until the debt is paid. *FYI if you loose a loved one, state law says you only have to pay back the 12 months preceding death. MISSION KNOWS THIS but will very will bill you for everything they can and then you cant get their one and only estate department manager to even call you back to discuss said over billing. No INTEGRITY!

This corporation is in the business of stealing funds just inside the law. Be very careful with your Medicare and GAP insurance. I carry a part F any facility that accepts Medicare I have NO payments too, not deductible, not co pay. This corporation is a partner or owner of many of the local medical resources. I have been a patient and they have received payment from my part b and f for years. On a recent visit to the ER they charged my partner 190 dollars co-pay (I was out of the room for testing) when I arrived I said NO, I have a part F and you regularly bill it through Medicare. Her reply, well I have already taken it so if it is wrong you will get it back, eventually. I called the group first women was very nice, went to a supervisor who sent her back with the message “we are within our rights. BEWARE they are now earning interest on my money and will until all payments from both insurances clears and then their waiting period elapses. They have my money free for 90 days. This seems to be the standard of care for billing at Mission.

Short, terse and combative from the start of phone interactions almost across the board. They’re happy to take money and bristle if required to do anything else

I was charged incorrectly at My Care Now. For two months, Ive been trying to get an itemized list of my charges to figure out why my bill was more than twice what the maximum was said to be. Three times I have requested it and zero times have I received it. I told them I wanted to dispute. Someone was supposed to call me back to ask me questions. They never did. Ive called SO many times to find an answer. So far Ive been told that the bill is correct and it was all rolled into one. Ok.....WHAT was rolled into one? They claim its a legit charge but cant tell me what it is? Then I was told that I must be mistaken as to how the price range works. I confirmed 3 separate times in addition to what I was told at the time of visit. They have said the same thing every time. No one will call me back or send what they say they will. I just keep getting bills. Thats right, an urgent care visit (uninsured office visit ranges from $68-$325, only costing more if labs or radiology is involved) for the two second tweezer removal of a Lego in a childs nose is $711, despite having zero extra services. AND no one will tell me where the extra charge is coming from! Anyway, Ill call them again tomorrow. And the day after that. Ill take the weekend off and call again on Monday, etc.Update: The manager of My Care Now is the only person who heard me and helped me. The billing office is a joke. Thank goodness for Crystal at My Care Now. I was definitely overcharged, and she got all the excess refunded. Billing still gets 1 star because not one person there did their job.

Medical Debt really sucks but they really worked with me and were able to lower my bill significantly. Dont ignore them, go find your case worker and see if there is something that will fit your budget. Remember they have already done the work to your body.
