The elderly gentleman who greets you and (I presume) does the work is charming, friendly, and attentive. The shop does great work for very reasonable prices. I am happy to wait a couple extra days to get quality work and to get to interact with such nice people! Over the years my husband and I have taken shoes and boots to them maybe six or seven times and always received the same treatment and quality work.

This store is past its prime. My girlfriend paid in full for a shoe to be repaired. 6 months later and it was not done. When she tried to get a refund, the owner refused. She took the shoe and left the store, with the owner chasing her. He reached inside her car attempting to get the shoe and scared her. She tried to roll up the window and the elderly owners grandfather pulled on the window, bending it. This is unacceptable and borderline assault. Many other customers were in the shop with similar complaints. This might have been a great shop once but now it is not. The man mentioned that his son was in the hospital, and maybe the son will get out of the hospital and fix the store - but it is in disrepair now. I am so sorry for everything that is going on with your family and I hope you find someone who is able to keep your business afloat.I am really sorry to be writing this review because my only wish is for everyone to do well. I hope you are able to turn your business around.

Yall do not take your shoes here. They took my money and delivered false promises. I came by several times over months and months and each time I received a different excuse as to why he did not have my shoes, including that he took them home! Its been over a year and I still dont have my shoes. Do yourself a favor and dont take the risk.

I actually feel sorry for this gentleman he must be in his 90s. It took him a month and a half to stretch 3 pair of boots. I went back four times to get my boots and he could not find two pair. He really needs to close this shop do not make the mistake I did.

I went in on Thursday. I needed my Patagonia hiking shoes resoled. He showed me applicable pictures of soles. We chose what he thought would be best for that style shoe. He charged me a reasonable rate and gave me a date. The shoes were ready in a week and they look brand new. I am very pleased with my experience. The owner was perfectly lovely and professional.

Ive been taking shoes to this wonderful cobbler since I moved here 5 years ago and he always does a great job. Even was able to replace the zipper on my Born boots and youd never know the difference! He takes a bit longer at times because hes a 1-person operation but for quality and old-school technique like this, it is worth the wait.

The owner/cobbler has honesty, experience, standards of quality in skill and service, lovely sense of humor, energy, greets with a smile, affordability (much more than fair) and cares about his customers. I brought in boots I thought I would never be able to wear again; I had worn the heels half through and split out a seam. The boots were completely restored by River Ridge Shoe Repair, complete with a polish. I also had a pair of shoes stretched at considerably less cost than another shoe repairman charged. I brought in a pair of lebron 10s that had the bottom sole coming off of them, and were just beat up all over. He had them for a week, and when I got them back they looked brand new, and only charged me 15 bucks to do it. I would gladly recommend this guy, he knows what he is doing and obviously takes pride in his work.

Excellent! They repaired a pair of boots for me. They charge upfront when you come and drop off your shoes. I was charged a very reasonable amount and when I came to pick up my boots they refunded me half of what I paid because they were able to fix the existing zipper...very honest because I was glad to pay the full amount to have my favorite boots back! Highly recommend :)

I was a little worried about trying this place out based on the reviews but I have to say my experience was awesome! The location is definitely interesting in that it is behind a strip mall. I think the key is getting a real idea of when he will finish the project and keeping the ticket that he provides for you. You have to pay up front but he did a really great job on resoling my boots! Ill definitely go back if and when I need more leather work done.

He knows what hes doing, and has a fun sense of humor. Though my shoes werent fixable, he clearly explained why, and I overheard his explanations to other patrons.

I brought in a boot my dog had chewed the top edge of and asked him to sew a new piece of leather on to cover the damage so they could still be worn. I came in 7 times over a whole year trying to pick it up. Each time he didnt remember me and told me a different story about why my boot was not in the shop to pick up. On the 7th visit he promised the boot and a refund of the $20 I paid him. The next visit, the boot was finally ready but he tried only refunding $10 claiming he didnt have $20, trying to get us to come back another day. We refused and he found the full $20. He repaired the boot using a used piece of leather with a large rectangar spot that was discolored and had empty stitch holes in it. An absolutely ridiculous experience. Dont risk it, take your business elsewhere.

Ive been going here for YEARS. These guys are the best. Friendly, inexpensive and the work they do is always perfect and lasts for a long time. They have also repaired purses and other bags for me and do it well each and every time. Highly recommend them!

Took a lot longer than discussed, did something totally different than I asked. In the end very great quality work, but terrible communication between the person that took my shoes and who worked on them, then between them and myself for over a month longer than previously agreed upon date. I made several trips out there when they were supposed to be ready without receiving a call they werent ready. They lost my ticket but not my shoes. Paid for expensive rubber, put on the cheap stuff anyway. Paid to keep leather heel, ripped it off and replaced with rubber anyway. Really nice people but I have joined the group who wont be back.

This guy is a professional. My Mother has had poor luck with boot heels this month and he did an excellent job repairing them both times. The second time I was in and out of there in 4 or 5 minutes with Moms fixed boot in hand. $5! Whatta deal. With service like this hes Gotta lifetime customer in me.

I dropped off two pair of shoes several weeks ago for repair. The owner had me give him my phone number and he told me theyd be ready by the following Tuesday. I went there several days after they were to be ready and he had a hard time finding them. Then he said he had to order new insoles and they werent in. He could have called me, but he didnt. I asked him when i should come back and he said the following Wednesday. I went back a few days after they were supposed to be ready and he hadnt started on them. Again, no call. He said hed do them that afternoon and I could get them the next day. The next morning, I called him to see if they were done. He told me I could come by after noon to get them. I went by mid-afternoon and only one pair was done. Its a week later and I just called him about the second pair. He said he just got the insole in yesterday, but hed already told me he got it a week ago. He told me theyll be ready tomorrow. Theyre not going to be ready tomorrow. Im going to pick them up and take them somewhere else. Summer is now over and I havent had use of these shoes for much of the season.

Put new heels on my boots very quickly they were done within 30 minutes. Great workmanship at a spectacular price. They definitely get plenty of business from all the people I saw. I will come back here when my caiman lucchese boots need to be resoled, hopefully that experience will be as good as my first one!

Terrible experience! First of all he patched my $200 boots with a different color leather, it looked horrendous. I took them back and then he had my boots the whole fall and winter. I went to pick them at least a week after the date he said they’d be ready, and each time I went to pick them up he made up a lie why they weren’t ready and promising they’d be ready the next week. After the 5th time I ended up taking the boots with the glue all over the unlatched parts and cut my losses. This place is no good.

Left several pairs of shoes. So far all are doing ok except one .I want to bring them back but it took forever the first time. They were all several hundred dollars shoes and one pair the sole came off after wearing twice. The other pairs are ok.....

Last year Id send anyone to this place. This year I took two pairs of shoes here and three times couldnt get it right. Each time just told lies about what he did to my shoes. Seriously do not waste your time here.

First, he lost my shoes. When he found them, hed tell me theyd be ready by some date. When Id go, they wouldnt be ready, but he wouldnt call to tell me they werent ready. So I called to ask if my shoes were ready and he said yes. But they werent ready! This happened three times. The repair only held up for a few wears and my shoe fell apart again. Not going back.
