Ive had my pianos tuned by Bruce Johnson for as long as I remember. I taught piano at Washington Park Piano studio and recommended him to all my students parents and never had a complaint. He has an excellent ear and knows just how to voice and regulate any piano. Hes also reasonably priced!

We bought a baby grand. The piano shop did some work on it before delivery and when we got it into our home, it seemed like an entirely different instrument. We really thought we had made the wrong purchase. But then Bruce came in and corrected many issues with the piano, and now it is even more lovely to play and listen to than we had hoped in the beginning. He is an amazing talent!

It needed much more than a simple tuning, but Bruce explained every step of the way, from what it would take to repair the cracked board to needing to replaces felts in the future, and he recommended a timeline to keep things in place for budgetary purposes. It took a week to complete the repairs and tuning on the little spinnet, but she sounds beautiful now--my family members cant believe its the same piano except that they recognize a particular cosmetic scar that will remain a legend in familial tales!
