This company I would recommend !!! Angel was fast and extremely kind. I called early in the morning and was able to get service within 30mins which was very impressive to say the least. The young man who took the call was nice and professional. I couldn’t be more happier with this company. Five stars Thankful for Kelly McKnight Wrecker service.
Expensive, I was in a wreck . They towed my vehicle . $270 1st day and $21 a day after. They would not let me get parts off my vehicle. You only get 10 minutes to get belongings out of your vehicle . Total rip off of ordinary citizens. That place has got rich off car wrecks
The super tall guy who wears a cowboy hat and has a black beard is very helpful! Thank Yall!!
Helpful and provided a service to bring the car to the house so I didnt have to outsource it to the insurance company
Really good service. Attention to detail.
Theyve had the city auto pound contract since I began driving, over 40 yrs. I was more than extremely surprised & delighted at the above than excellent service & assistance, I received unlocking my truck, since I have no door keys.Thank you to the gentlemen who assisted & succeeded in unlocking the Chev. Silverado.
It is very bad. They definitely act like the police autopound
Rude to customer and very messy to people.Dont give you but 10 minutes to get things out of your wreck car.If you dont have a key will not try to help you get property out of car. And they talk rude to people didnt call for them to take my car in the first place
Terrible service. Rude, I had coronavirus and it was raining and these people had me standing in the rain trying to get my Jeep for 4 hours.
The tow truck driver was very nice and helpful! I cant give a higher rating because having to spend 282$ to retrieve my own stolen vehicle and another 135$ to have it towed off their property to my home is just ridiculous to me!
Just went here to get my stuff after a wreck, was quick and the dudes were pretty cool.
Car is totally and I still had paper tags. They wanted titles to car
Good Guys All The Way.
Awesome company, my truck was towed in Arlington for a flat tire . Kelly McKnight Wrecker Svc was very nice and reasonable
Dumb people. Car reported stolen. Arlington police department had the vehicle towed by this wrecker yard. Next day they released the car to the suspected thief. Proof of ownership was to verified. Registration does not indicate ownership bozos.Nothing changed in this location. Went to pick car on Saturday and rudeness was at its epitome. No greeting, use of offensive language as us if to provoke or ignite confrontation.Time of visit 1140 am Aug 11 2018. The man on duty should not be allowed to speak to customers at all. He treats and talks down to customers on the phone and live at the office. I just watched as a business owner the rudeness, I personally encountered and witnesses another customer in the office berated and will not tolerate in my own place of business.Either the owner of this place is blind or just immuned from the lack of professionalism that is plaguing this place. No matter what the reason that bring people to a wrecking yard, they should be greeted and questions should be answered nicely and a thank you is a must when anyone hands you payment. If these goals cannot be accomplished, the days of any business will be numbered.
Friendly but hard to deal with lol
On time and easy to deal with. Will use them again.
I was there with someone retrieving their vehicle service at the window was very very slow could have been better and more apologetic because you had to wait outside in the heat I understand the epidemic that we have... youre standing outside could be a little bit faster when theres no one there but you.. considering the amount of money that you going to have to pay for storing your vehicle their...
The person who helped me was very friendly and patient with me. I had issues trying to take out a vehicle, but he gave me the paperwork and clear instructions. When I picked up the truck, I received no hassle whatsoever. The staff is very friendly.
Great service
Good for clear weather, Ive called after some moderate rain and been told they are only doing APD callouts. They have another local service they refer, but theyre nowhere as fast.As an impound lot, theyre pretty solid. The fees arent cheap, but theyre up front and consistent. They give you plenty of time to get stuff out of your car, and the one time I had tools in my truck, none turned up missing.
They damaged my grips on my handlebars
They took truck from my parking spot I pay in my apartment complex even though I am registered in the system with that truck... And still had to pay these thieves
They got to the scene of the accident quickly and whisked my car away. I got to their lot the next day to retrieve the rest of my property. No hassle. Quick and easy.
The gentleman at the desk was incredibly rude. Absolutely no sympathy for the fact that I was in a horrible accident, not caused by me, and am here only to collect my belongings before my insurance company takes the vehicle, which was deemed a total loss. I have been experiencing PTSD from this accident, and just being here has been hard on me, but this man has just made it an incredibly unpleasant experience. I think this man needs to be more in tune to the fact that the people coming in here to get their things may be in physical and/or emotional pain. I don’t understand how humans can treat each other this way. What a shame.
Ricky (Enrique) was awesome. He loaded and unloaded my car without a stable tire very well without doing any additional damage to the car when all odds were stacked against him. He did a great job. Im very grateful.
They did a great job with my towing daughters car
You dont want to know what I think about this company. Legalized robbery at its finest!! Ill leave it there with a warning. Be wary. Be VERY WARY!!However, the young man who waited on me was very courteous. Thats the only good thing I can honestly say.
Horrible experience Everytime. They do nothing to help you in any way. All they care about is money.
Purchased terrible cars at the auction twice.
They were really sweet to me. I had a baf car accident and needed to clean my car out and they were very patient and caring towards me. They even made me laugh and helped me clean my car out. Overall great experience.
The white man upfront has TERRIBLE customer service skills. He talked and laughed with another co-worker about how people “this and that”.. like seriously? How perfect must their lives be to be degrading people who come in wanting help. Anyway, the older Hispanic man who took me back to see my vehicle was very kind. He provided some valuable information that the man upfront couldn’t and then later complained about when I asked him. 🙄. Anyway I do appreciate the wrap they put on the windows to protect from the rain. 👍🏻.
My sons car was stolen and ended up at the impound. That alone was traumatic enough I thought, then I would have to go deal with this! What more? But from the moment I arrived, every single person there was more than helpful, especially the tow truck driver. He was compassionate and helpful and made the experience as pleasant as it could be given the circumstances. I didnt get your name, but thank you for your kindness. It was greatly appreciated!
I had an accident and the police advised to have it towed to Kelly McKnight to avoid paying out of pocket. My car was totaled, so when I showed up to clean it out I was a quick process. The guy that escorted me to my vehicle was awesome, probably got the same guy others are saying was very nice and answered their questions very clearly.Overall good experience with Kelly McKnight.
Good service. Gets your vehicle back to you quickly.
These guys are don’t know how to talk with people specially night guy bad service
Cost too much
Great people friendly, and any questions I had were answered. 5 stars easy.
A great place to get a tow. Their equipment is up to date and they are reasonably priced.
These guys were very helpful in our stressful and scary time of need. Our car was towed to their complex and we were given enough time to get things out of our totaled vehicle. The employees explained to us what we needed to do and were very knowledgeable
My experience litterly is identical to the woman below me. White man at the front desk has HORRIBLE customer service skills and he gives off the vibe the he is better than everybody else!!! Mexican gentleman was very nice! First impressions mean alot and having somebody represent your business with a attitude like that and it him being the first point of contact. Somebody needs a attitude adjustment... otherwise everything else was great.
The City of Arlington called them out to assist in getting my wifes truck unstuck from the back end of a Toyota. Driver was great came up with a plan and took care of it. My issue is being charged $185 for the service. When it doesnt even cost that much to have a vehicle towed. I would never use or suggest the use of Kelly McKnight for service. I feel sorry if youre in a wreck and the city calls them.
Professional and quick service
Very bad business, very rude coworkers and bad service, would not recommend AT ALL.
Horrible customer service, they give you false information over the phone, very rude and do not know how to conduct business properly. They need to be bought out. They really deserve 0 stars!
Would not use a copy of my id and ended up losing my truck behind trying to get an ID .which was a paper from the state and still tried to deny
Very bad service i would not recommend to ANYONE
Great people and a great company. For everyone saying they were told their car would be towed free of charge, that is not accurate. They provide a service, just like a restaurant, and you pay for that service.Much cheaper than most impound lots actually. Also, unless you were in a wreck, your car was most likely towed here for no insurance or an arrest, which in turn, is your fault. And if you are in a wreck, you have the option to ask the car to be towed to your house, instead of the lot, which is much cheaper because you avoid storage charges and impound fees. The reviews are very inaccurate, just felt the need to straighten some things out.
Representing Ford as an agent in order to remove a vehicle, Kelly McKnight refused to release the vehicle to Ford due to the notarized document (with all required information) being in a different format than the state template.*The representative became very hostile towards me for asking why these notarized documents were not sufficient but still on the list of acceptable documents. However, he was quick to back down once his customer service was questioned.Kelly McKnight Wrecker Service Inc. very clearly performs immoral business practice by intentionally delaying release of commercial vehicles in order to obtain further yard fees. It is suggested that you avoid any and all interactions with this unethical, dishonest company.*Copies of the state form as well as Ford’s notarized form are available to validate this review.
Takes forever to get someone to come to the window.
Towed my car and was extremely unnecessarily rude at the front desk. I hope and pray that you never have to do any form of business with this unprofessional company!
My car was wrecked after an accident and I went to check on it today. I cant thank them enough for putting cling wrap over the window to protect it from the weather. They were very nice and helpful.
I was fortunate enough to have had dealings with Kelly McKnight Wrecker Service when I worked for the City of Arlington-Police Dispatch from 1991-2001. I needed a wrecker this past Wednesday July 24th due to my ignition becoming locked up. Their phone number is ingrained in my head from using it so much back in the day. When I called and spoke to Norman, the dispatcher, and advised him of my situation; he was very polite and gave me the information I needed. I joked with him about having their number ingrained in my head and he asked if I had worked in dispatch. I told him I had from 1991-2001. He placed me on hold for about 30 seconds then came back and advised he had a wrecker for me heading my way in about 5 minutes. I gave him my location and pertinent info on my vehicle description. It was not even 5 minutes when the wrecker showed up. Dave was my wrecker driver, and he was very kind and did a wonderful job getting my jeep out of where it was parked onto the flatbed wrecker. Once I got home, he got it off the flatbed in about 5 minutes, and told me if I needed them tomorrow to just give them a call and they would be happy to tow my jeep to the dealer for me. I was lucky that I did not need them on Thursday. I was able to bring out a auto locksmith to fix my locked up steering column. I cant thank Norman and Dave enough for their kindness and professionalism. I know why the City of Arlington continues to keep their contract with Kelly McKnight; its because of people like Norman and Dave who are personable and professional. Great job guys! Thank you so much!
Always get awesome service
Polite, fair pricing and the 24/7 open is great
Do not buy car from there auction because still charging you for storage fee $25 day
Called this towing service to get a quote and could not even get through the whole call as the hick who picked up the phone was very rude and impolite. His first question, Whats wrong with the car? in a very rude voice.I told him that it was not starting. Obviously someone would call a owing company if their car is stalled.Second question, Is the car leveled?I could not understand what he was asking so I told him to excuse me.Again in a rude hick voice he asked, Is the car sitting on ground on wheels? At this point my patience wore off as he was asking questions like a detective. I was simply trying to get a quote. Of course a car sits on its wheels on the ground. Ever seen a car sit on the roof with propellers or jet engines??????I hung up the phone and decided to call some other towing companies around and got a better deal and polite staff. The process of getting a quote is painful so I backed out thinking how painful it would be to do business with them.Stay away from this bad company!!!!
Good customer service
Open mind. Not responsible for lost or stolen items
Awesome place !!!
I am only giving one star because the man who helped me find my car was very nice. The man in the office with the coke bottle glasses was however very rude. I asked about getting my stuff out of my car, which is my right, and he acted so appalled. I asked to sign a form to release the car to insurance, and he scoffed like it was a difficult part of his job. The man working in the yard was very nice and helped me get my things. This wrecker service was chosen for me by APD, but believe me I will be saying something about that. Terribly rude and inconsiderate. I just had my world turned upside down, I dont need to be treated poorly too. Hope my insurance comes and gets the car soon, as to not inconvenience them anymore. Smh.
My family has used Kelly McKnight Wrecker Service more than once. Each time, they were polite to me and my family members. The dispatchers were also thorough when asking what issue(s) were involved with the vehicle(s) in order to determine how they needed to be towed. (i.e. - on-hook versus flatbed) When I asked to be updated from dispatch on when the drivers were to arrive, they kept their word and made sure to contact me. The tow truck drivers were always polite and professional. They arent the least expensive tow company in town; however, you get what you pay for. I cant say that other tow companies would take care of our family like Kelly McKnight Wrecker Service has taken care of us. I would recommend them to my friends and clients.
The guy in the office the night I went was real nice and helpful.
Arlington PD liars, Kelly McKnight archaic scammers. If you are in Arlington and you get into a bad wreck, Arlington PD will offer to tow your car, they will promise you it is free, they are lying. Kelly McKnight will tow your car, they will put your car in their lot and charge you for towing and for storage per day. The prices are incredible, while you try to scramble to figure out what repair shop to take your car to the fees will pile up. For just towing and 4 days of storage I had a 490 dollar bill. I was dumb and in shock after the accident so I believed what the cop told me. Dont fall for it, I realize if you are reading this it is probably too late but warn all your friends and family about it. Needless to say my experience with this company was a substantial amount of stress I didnt need added to an already stressful situation. And I am disappointed in my citys Police department, this isnt the first time Ive had a fishy experience with them. I guess people gotta make money somehow though. Kelly McKnight is an ancient company that needs to go out of business already. I used Lawrence Towing to get my car out of there to the repair shop, it cost me $70, imagine that. If you get into a wreck, get your own towing company to take your car to you house or somewhere else. Then figure out repairs after that.
I wouldnt get them to tow a vehicle unless you want stuff missing... when I went to get my truck I was missing my prescribed glasses and prescribed sunglasses, both new I asked when I was there and they swore they didnt have them after I had wore both pairs that same day/night.
Great company. Most people who rate it low were towed for being arrested or not having insurance. Great Job
My wrecked car (totaled) sat at their yard for 5 days before it was transferred to the yard my insurance company uses. All of my possessions inside my car went missing, and while it could have happened at the other wrecker yard, I spoke to the manager at McKnight TWICE, who said he would review videos of his yard to see if it happened there. I still havent heard back from him and my wreck happened 17 days ago. Poor customer service.
The guy in the office was unprofessional and was being sarcastic to me. Never again. They are aseholes and will get whats coming to them.
Ryan Forist review is not correct except in his own mind. When a lien holder is trying to get a car released from an impound in the state of Texas they require a repo affidavit and a specific power of attorney for repossesion of motor vehicle. Mr Ryan Forist brought a notorized release but being that it was the lien holder who ordered it to be removed it can not be accepted. This was explained to Ryan many times to which he refused to accept. He wanted it to be done under the terms that he was wanting which is different than what the Texas Department Of Licencing allows me to do. He was given a VSF011 form to have filled out and notorized for his company to allow his tow service to pick up and he took that with him and still did not get that done. Even his tow service that was here told him that too. He still refused to get that done. Please provide pictures of the paperword Mr. Ryan of which you claim is correct according to tdlr rules.
Wrecker driver was very friendly
I just called trying to get an estimate to have my 34 motor-home towed to have it repaired. The first question out of the box was what is wrong with it! I asked if that mattered, and said it wouldnt run, then explained that I was wanting it taken to the other side of Arlington. He checked and told me that they didnt have any drivers available this afternoon. I asked does that mean you cant give me a quote or that there isnt anyone that could tow it all day! He said, Well, we dont really tow RVs, they need to be placed on a bed and we dont do that. That doesnt make sense!! I then told him it has been towed before behind a truck and he promptly said, they didnt want to tow it!!For a company that has large wreckers they SUCK, dont bother with them!
Quick, easy, and friendly... considering the situation!
Ripoff artist in collusion with the city of Arlington ripping people off who have auto accidents and their vehicles are not drivable.. Pressuring you to use the wrecker service and saying their will be no charge, because they dont want to direct traffic away from wreck scene while you wait on your iwn personal roadside tow. But thats a big fat LIE! They dont deserve 1 star! Insist on waiting on your own towing service!
I was the victim of a shooting they towed my car damaged it and charged me 566 to get it back no one ever informed me that they released the hold will post pics of damage before and after
Supposedly took my car because it was on a repo list. Cars been paid off for over a year. Glad your getting sued, you have rules and laws to go by, if you do not than suffer the consequences as you are now!!!
He arrived quicker than expected and provided quick and efficient service. Very nice!!!
Quick service with a smile.
The workers were very very rude, the service was poor.
I drive for Abilene wrecker service and just wanted to say thank you to y’alls driver mike, I hauled a box truck to the area and I was about to head back home and realized I had no running lights on my wrecker and mike pulled up to check on me and drove me to the store to get some fuses and helped me get back on the road thank y’all very much!
Bad neighborhood.
Called in to get an estimate. Before I could even begin the conversation, the man on the phone told me I dont have anyone available right now, thanks. and promptly hung up on me. Terrbile way to do business!
Love love these people great service drivers r very professional from dispatch all the way up everybody good people yall talking are dogging kelly mcknight wrecker service either yall had a bad night yalls fought its sure not the driver of the wrecker fault this is a joke i recommend all my family and friends to use kelly mcknight for anything anytime o btw APD also has a yard there that they now so its not all kelly mcknights wrecker service i seen it all now r heard it all lol good luck mr McKnight and family and workers yall all rock
Johnny was fast, affordable and professional.
Great people and great work these guys do
By far the most professional and pleasant tow lot to deal with.
These guys are total jerks and dont care how rude they are.
Polite Quick Service
Very polite
Goes through employees like toilet paper everybody still working has been fired at least once. Owner fires people on a whim.
Be careful they could rip up your dashboard, pull out some wires and then your stuck with a car that wont turn off.
This company is a ripoff they take some ones tragedy, and take advantage of them. My daughter got in a automobile accident, and they were going to charge 220 dollars to take my daughters car one block. When the average cost for a tow truck in arlington tx is 80 dollars. They have a contract with the city of Arlington, so they can rip people off and steal there vehicles. Well, they didnt get mine, I towed it myself.Companies like this should be in jail not working with the city. If you have a choice do not use this company. Very displeased father.
They punctured my oil pan, spent 400$$ to get it fixed, my vehicle was just fine before these wreckless people got a hold to it
Rude people and the service was horrible
My family member was in an accident. Arlington PD and the wrecker said it would cost nothing to tow her car to their lot and keep it there. LIARS. 3 days later it is well over $350.00. They are contracted with the city and skim off victims. I wish I could be there when karma caught up with them.
So my car was towed in by the police department and not only did they let my car go to someone that did not own it they also let them write a check for it and the car ended up never coming back to me
UNPROFESSIONAL BUNCH OF RIPO OFF ARTISTS ! RUDE, CORRUPT AND MIS-MANAGED IS AN UNDER STATEMENT AND BEING KIND. THEY HAD MY CAR FOR 2 1/2 WEEKS AND TOLD ME 4 TIMES WHEN I CALLED IT WASNT THERE. ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY FOUND IT AND NOW WANT THE 2 1/2 WEEKS OF STORAGE EVEN THOUGH THEY SAID IT WASNT THERE. UNSCRUPULOUS BUNCH OF ASSHOLES!!!!!!!!!!
