Denise and her crew did an outstanding job at my Husbands 70th surprise Birthday Party. They took care of table, chairs, tent, and portable bar setup. The bartender and two servers took care of everything during the party from set up to clean up. After 40 years of hosting parties, this was the first party I that I was able to relax and enjoy. I hired A Touch of Elegance to assist me with a grand opening event and I was beyond impressed. The event was for about 100 people and I had food brought in from local restaurants. I requested 3 servers and 1 bartender for the event, and everyone was very professional. The staff brought everything we needed and even brought decorations! I didnt have to assist them at all during the event and could take care of other details, which took a lot of stress off my plate. I would definitely use A Touch of Elegance again!

A Touch of Elegance was extremely easy to work with for my engagement party. During this time they were extremely professional and cautious. The servers and bartender wore gloves and masks the entire time. They knew exactly what to do and did not need to be prompted. Both families had time to enjoy themselves as the servers did absolutely everything from putting appetizers together to packing up dinner and even cleaning up the entire kitchen! The guests had nothing but nice things to say about their service too. I have already recommended A Touch of Elegance to a few friends and family members. I would reach out to Denise again for other events in the future. They truly made the party run smoothly and effortlessly.

I hired A Touch of Elegance to have a Server at a Baby Shower I was hosting in my home. Kathy was our Server. She was wonderful. She came early and jumped right in asking if there was anything I needed her to do. Once the party was underway, all I had to do was visit with my guests. Kathy had everything under control. Before she left, the kitchen was immaculate. I will never host a party without their service again.

I cannot say enough good things about Touch of Elegance! They were phenomenal. They were polite, fun, professional and all of our guests enjoyed them. They helped decorate our wedding tent and I was just amazed at how well they put my vision together. It was all perfect. They went above and beyond! Best day of my life. I highly recommend them!!!!

You really took our venue and transformed it into a beautiful and functional room to accommodate not only our wedding ceremony but also our reception, which included a dinner, a bar, a cake, and appetizers!!! I truly cannot say enough good things about A Touch of Elegance Event Planning and Denise who recently coordinated my son and daughter-in-laws wedding/reception. Denise is extremely easy to work with and I am so glad we found her. We really appreciated her quick answers to our pre-wedding venue questions and also her excellent suggestions throughout our planning process. Denise supplied the beautiful table linens, china, utensils, all serving pieces for the buffet, bar glasses and even several high boy tables and even a sweetheart table for the bride and groom. She also expertly handled all deliveries the day of the event and the entire room was arranged beautifully when we arrived so we could just sit back and enjoy the party with our guests. The serving staff and our bartender were also extremely professional and responsive and at the end of our evening the remaining food and our decorations were carefully packed up for us to take home. I would highly recommend A Touch of Elegance to anyone who wants to host a stress free and memorable event.

6 Stars. A Touch of Elegance went above and beyond throughout our wedding reception! Couldnt recommend them highly enough. Some vendors stop exactly where the contract says they can, but not A Touch of Elegance.Denise is extremely knowledgeable and was very helpful (and proactive) with the planning process. She and her staff are just all-around fantastic. Also a great value! You 100% get more than your moneys worth with A Touch of Elegance. Not only did they do a great job, they even went WAY above and beyond to help us clean up afterwards, something wed planned on doing ourselves.

Couldn’t have gone smoother. The reception was great because these people did it all took care of everything so we didn’t have to. They were efficient and very pleasant to work with from beginning to end. I highly recommended this company!

We used Touch of Elegance for a party and their staff and bar tenders were great. So many of my guests commented about how wonderful their attention to detail was. I loved being able to enjoy the party fully because they were there to help. Denise and her staff helped to make a party for 100 so much easier!

Denise was great to work with in coordination of what I needed. And the evening of my event the servers and bartender exceeded my expectations! They were on top of everything without me needing to ask or remind They were so friendly and helpful. At the end of the event my house was organized, items washed etc. I look forward to using their services again! Denise even followed up with me after the event to check in and get feedback.

Denise is the perfect person to have in charge of your event. As my wedding approached my family and I did everything ourselves but grew worried about the day of details. We met with Denise and she put all of our minds at ease. We needed a go to person the day of that could take charge and help set up and clean up and that is exactly what she did. There weren’t any issues that arose because we had Denise in charge. I know that there were guests who didn’t show and guests who didn’t rsvp but did show up and Denise handled it. No issues were brought to me as the bride and that is the way that it should be. Denise’s services are definitely worth the price for your own piece of mind. She will go out of her way to make sure that your day goes off without a hitch. She also works closely with her son Ken who is a dj (AMP Event Professionals). It is nice that they talk frequently and work very well together. I would recommend Denise’s services to anyone hosting a party, wedding, or any other event.

Denise did an awesome job as our Wedding planner on June 8, 2019, at our venue the Gardens of Woodstock. There was alot of preparation and planning that needed to betaken care of for my daughters wedding day and also for the rehearsal. We were all very pleased with Denises professionalism and her attention to details. As the mother of the bride, I was able to enjoy and know that everything would be taken care of, which it was. She definately made our daughters wedding day perfect. We were so happy someone recommended her to us.

A Touch of Elegance was nothing but a disappointment by Denise (Owner) our event executer.When reading this review, please realize this was written to help other brides and people who deserve an amazing event planner/executor for their special day.We hired a Touch of Elegance to ONLY execute our designs for our wedding in September 2019. I (The Bride) worked with the owner herself, Denise, who agreed to take on this project. I gave her specific details and instructions on how I wanted key aspects of my wedding to come together which included: putting up a photo backdrop which I designed, placing all tent cards in order on the backdrop, assisting with gathering family members for pictures during cocktail hour, making sure the banquet hall was ready (table numbers, reserved seating, guest gifts) for photography before guests arrive, setting up the memory table, the autograph table, and placing signage. We also had a surprise swing dance number for our guests and I had a dress change, so that is the only thing that she helped us with correctly.Please see the images attached regarding how each part was executed INCORRECTLY as there was not enough room to write it all here sadly.We gave Denise a Call regarding feedbackBeing the “Hospitality Power Couple” (name given by our family and friends) and myself for receiving a degree in graphic design and hospitality, we were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. Learning of some of the issues during our wedding, after our wedding, learning much more from family friends, and the staff of our hotel venue about Denise was hard to take in. Unfortunately, we had to call Denise to ask how she felt our wedding day went as we wanted to hear her side of the story. The best way to sum up the call would be that it showed us who Denise really is. She kept telling us “She DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME”. Our first thought was, if you did not leave yourself enough time, why not bring in more of your staff to help you. We placed our trust and faith in her as she reassured us many times everything will be wonderful on our wedding day since we were over organized and too detailed, but it shows that no matter how OCD you may be, it can still be executed WRONG. With Denise knowing all this taking place during our wedding, we feel we wasted our money as we never planned to have an event planner execute our designs but my now husband convinced me that she was worth it. Sadly, we were wrong, and we paid for it as we DID NOT RECEIVE A REFUND from Denise.From one business owner to another (founder of my graphic design company and a nonprofit), I was also DISAPPOINTED that she DID NOT CARE TO CALL us for our feedback. I had to reach out to her to set up a call. As an owner, I would want my clients to be honest with me about my work, my work ethic, and how I am as person when working with clients. I am always trying to be better for my clients, and I hope she does the same going forward because I will never recommend her to family or friends after this experience. I hope Denise learns from our wedding on how not to treat people and their guests when hosting an event. My biggest hope is that she does not cause any of these problems for anyone else’s event going forward as no one needs more stress on a big day like their wedding or any special event for that matter.

Practically Perfect in Every Way! Denise, the owner, helped set out the chairs and welcome guests to my wedding back in 2009. Ive since hired her to bartend for two of my company parties (each one serving around 75 guests). As long as we keep throwing parties, shell be the one I call. She and her staff are always professional, punctual, friendly, and pretty darn perfect. Not to mention that the price she charges is beyond reasonable - which is great for anyone on a tight budget. Highly, highly recommend.

We were out of town guests at an outdoor wedding this weekend and some staff at Touch Of Elegance was rude to my daughter and brother. It was hot and humid and my 13 year old daughter asked for some water and a staff pointed and told her Lake Michigan was that way. So my brother went to go ask for some water and the staff member told him there was a sink in the kitchen so he can go get water. Unfortunately I had to bother the bride while she was taking some outdoor photos to find out where we can get some drinking water. I was told a beverage dispenser should have been provided by the staff for drinking water. The staff just seemed to be bothered when asked the 3rd time.

*****BRIDES PLEASE STAY AWAY****** Unfortunately my sister hired this company for her wedding and things quite didn’t work out the way she dreamed. Denise is a very difficult person to deal with. I wonder if all these other reviews are written by friends and family!!!! At first I thought her cocky and condescending attitude was because she knew what she was doing and confident, but we were very wrong! Her staff was also just as unprofessional and lacked class.My sister was promised many things that were not delivered. I only know this because I was involved in every step of helping her plan her wedding. The day of the wedding you could totally see that she was understaffed! Perhaps she’s use to home events but this was a wedding venue. She looked extremely overwhelmed with the attendees (120 ppl). For starters when we walked down the aisle there were not enough seats on the brides side and therefore my brother and niece had to go across and sit with the grooms side, and that was a bummer given that it would have been nice to have our pictures be all together. (This was an outdoor ceremony and she was in charge of seat set up)Then after the ceremony as I walked over to the outdoor reception I see that not all the seats are out and the cake wasn’t even set up for guests to see upon entering. The appetizers were all set out on a table and my sister was promised that servers would be walking around, and that was never done! Denise also promised that the cake would be cut and served at the tables and that was also not done. To her convenience it was just cut and placed on a table near the sweet table. Again just showing how understaffed she was! There were also little things that were all done again to her convenience and against my sister and the grooms wishes!I am in the service industry and deal with many personalities on a daily basis and I can tell you Denise is not someone you want the day of your special day!!!! I would hate for her to ruin someone’s day the way she did my sisters! When confronted about it she yelled at my sister (yes she actually yelled at her like a child!!!) and was just very rude and brushed her off! Never apologized for any of it!!!!!
