Emotional Wellness is not something youll find at The Lighthouse. As someone going into this profession, the carelessness of their billing department, front office staff/those answering calls, and one of their social workers was really disappointing. Its because of these types of issues, that makes it incredibly challenging for people to have access to the mental health services that would help them. If a therapy/social work office cannot competently provide professional services that promote a patients wellbeing, then they have no place in the practice. As a future practitioner, Im familiar with the NASW Code of Ethics, something that was brought into question when the owner personally called me to try to persuade me into seeing a new social worker they hired after mine went to a new practice. They didnt care what was in my best interest, they only cared about making money which became even more apparent when they were negligent in billing my insurance and charged me over $300 extra for my sessions. In no exaggeration, I called dozens of times to try to get this straightened out. The owner told me he would personally handle the issue, which of course continued to go unresolved. It took me a little over 3 months to get the money back and every time I called no one seemed to know what I was talking about. I wouldnt recommend going to this office. It doesnt function well, and isnt, in my opinion, the best place to seek mental health services.

I’ve been seeing Ray at Lighthouse for several years now. Every time I leave I feel a little more confident stepping out of my comfort zone when tackling the stressors in my life.One thing I love about Lighthouse is that they adapt to the needs of their clientele. If there is need for a specific support group, they find a way to make it happen. They also create ways to support others at home, like their Couples Synergy podcast.I would highly recommend checking them out if you’re looking for ways to work on you.

Jean changed my life. I cannot recommend the Lighthouse and Couples Synergy enough. I saw a couple therapists before meeting Jean, but no one compares to her brilliance. No one else does couples work quite like Couples Synergy. It truly it a unique and superior process.

Great help for couples, and individuals. Dr Ray has been a great help, and I have recommended their services to other friends and couples in need!

Would definitely recommend them for family counseling .. we are very grateful for them and we have our family back. Using a different alias as to remain private or it would be a dead giveaway. so if you have issues with family or you need child therapy definitely a good place.

After my friend confided in me of her issues and I realized it is beyond what I could do for her, I decided to find some counseling assistance for her. I had never been to any counselor so really didnt know what to do. Finally, I found a counseling service in Arlington Heights on the internet and initially I was skeptical but my friend had nothing but great things to say about them and she seems like she is doing much better and overall improvement. So Im glad I found Lighthouse. I just want my friend to be back to who she was.

Dont focus on your mental health when it breaks. No different from a gym membership only to improve your mental health.

Professional and very personable staff. I love their frame work of helping the individual become a happy, healthy, and empowered being - allowing that to be whatever the individual sees fit. My awakening would not have been the same without Ray & Jean. My young daughter also sees Eddie regularly and she has grown through those encounters as well. I have already recommended The Lighthouse to friends & strangers alike and will continue to do so. Great team for your mental health!

Great place. Super friendly staff. Always accommodating. They also offer classes on the side at certain times that are always interesting. Its nice they offer those than just the standard one on one sessions.

I started going to Lighthouse shortly after having my baby and finding out my then husband was cheating on me. I went there wanting them to help fix me so that my husband would stay. But what they did for me instead has change my life completely and helped me become the person I always knew I could be. I am the strongest Ive ever been and have no regrets about where this has all taken me. The team at Lighthouse is so special and unique and I know I would not have had the same experience anywhere else. If you are sitting there wanting answers but dont even know the questions to ask then give them a call and start your own journey...one day you will look back too and be so grateful you did!

Genuinely interested in your well-being. Most considerate psych I have seen in quite some time. He even called to check how I was doing. Reasonable, intelligent, to the point. Scheduling appointments is easy and he accepts credit cards.

Amazing therapeutic skills. The team of Dr. Ray and Jean really help to capture the family system as an ever evolving opportunity to grow as individuals, partners and parents.

Had a bad experience with another counselor in schaumburg and the next time I wanted to make sure the place was highly rated and ended up with Dr. Ray. Their approach to mental health and phsycology is great. If you are looking for counseling in schaumburg or for a mental health professional, I cant thank say enough good things about them..theyre that good.
