Smart Tech Repair saved my brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I enjoyed my visit at smart tech repair. It was quick, fast, and very easy. Sam is a great guy as well.

Took two devices. Paid total of 500 dollars. Told me they had replaced battery in iPad, but when I turned it on the battery started draining immediately. When I went back was first told I needed to sync the new battery. On a second visit was told it really just needed to be charged. I paid 200 dollars for a battery. As for the 300 dollar for the laptop. Told them the charger was not charging unless you held the cable to the device. Picked it up. Asked what they did said it needed a new charging port. Got it home didn’t work. Took it back. Needed a new charger. Asked why they did not check that before returning. Got a total runaround. So I am out 500 dollars and have two devices that need repair. They never give you an invoice of what parts were ordered or what repairs were done. To say I am upset is an understatement.

This business currently has an F rating with the local Better Business Bureau in Arlington Heights for good reason. They are unprofessional and refuse to even respond to legitimate complaints from customers. Check it out yourself before you bring anything to them for service or repair. I wish that I had before they cracked my iMac screen and claimed that it was cracked when I brought it in. Funny he didnt find that important to note at the time I dropped it off. Now he wont even discuss it with me. Buyer beware with these guys.

Took my motorola in to get my charger port fixed. Was fixed within 2 hours and now works again perfectly. Did have to wait a week for the part to come in but I figure thats the way it is at a lot of smaller places. They were very polite and I feel good supporting this small business. Will definitely come back if I ever need to.

Got my i phone screen fixed for half the price of what it would cost at apple, took about a hour and screen works perfectly!

Apparently they dont fix it all. We are just leaving this location and were told that on iPads they cannot do any board level repairs - only basic things. On top of that, they tried to charge me a $60 diagnostic fee to look at it prior to admitting it would be very unlikely they would be able to do the repairs. Meanwhile, all this transpired while we were standing out in the cold weather and rain because they dont let you in the store - its a pickup and drop off window only. Hard pass on this place. they got an extra star for at least finally being honest that they didnt think they could repair it.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SCAM ARTIST. got my iphone screen replaced here because it cracked during covid and apple store was closed. they charged me $240 when apple itself only charges $199. then after it was replaced my phone was buggy so they said they’d replace it again under warranty. when i go to pick it up the second time the guy says there’s water damage so the warranty is voided and i’ll have to pay. i refused to pay AGAIN when they messed it up to begin with so he made me wait another half hour and put my old screen back on. now my face id and ringer button doesn’t work! clearly this guy doesn’t know what he’s doing and my iphone doesn’t even work properly because of him.

Was eligible for a phone upgrade and had two hairline cracks on my iPhone XS so I needed to get it fixed. I should note Ive worked at a cell/computer repair shop and currently corporate IT so Ive fixed hundreds of phones in my lifetime. Apple phones and in particular the newer ones are a PITA and I couldnt be bothered to do it myself nor wait for a replacement screen in the mail.A lot of these shops are shady, I know from experience on the inside but this place is outstanding! I stopped in and had a brand new screen in about 40 minutes. Replacement was a legit AMOLED, great quality would be hard to discern from an OEM one all functions including 3d touch still work. Price was more than fair having knowledge of parts and labor involved.Highly recommend, Im a stickler and Im extremely satisfied!

Do not use! Save your money and time. I took my Dell in because I had boot up issues. I could not get to the Windows login screen.They had my computer for 5 days and told me it was the motherboard and video card. I rralized that there was something wrong in my statement since i booted it up before i dropped it off. They did charge me a $80 fee for diagnosis.Took it home and it booted up. 30 minutes on You tube and some help from a friend and I was up and running.I wish I could give them a lower star. It was an $80 lesson.Save your time and money.

I will definitely be recommending smart tech repair to friends and family for their smart phone repairs. This is the fifth time in three years I stop by a phone repair plce to get my cracked screen fixed, apparently I am prone to dropping my phone :-)Of all five different places I have had my phone fixed, this location had the most friendly staff, easy to find convenient location with plenty of parking, and more importantly was able to have my phone back in less than 15 minutes. After calling around they were the most affordable, which was a bonus on top of a great service! I was able to wait in their comfortable lounge area which had couches and served water.

Ive been to this place twice now..The first time, my headphone jack broke off inside my phone. I brought it in and they fixed it within 20mins!This second time, my phone was turning on and off, not charging, and just being a pain in the @$$. Within an hour, it was fixed!!!They are SO fast and SO nice.I was also able to buy a new case at a reasonable price!Ill always come here with any phone issue.These guys are great!

This place is a joke. Got a new screen and when I got it back, the touch screen was delayed. They replaced it with a new screen and made it worse. I asked for my money back because I would need to get a new phone--they told me they would need to put my SMASHED SCREEN BACK ON even though they put a faulty screen back on. They offered to give me $20 back as well. This place is a joke. steer clear of it.

I took my computer to this repair shop because of great Google reviews. Initially he asked me to pay $130 for diagnostics. I didnt hear from the shop for 7 days so I decided to call and find out if they can fix it. He told me its software problem and if I pay additional $150 (total $280) they will fix it guaranteed. Computer was still restarting and crashing after I took it home. Few weeks later I took it to Apple, they repaired it free of charge because it was hardware problem they had a recall for. What a waste of money with this place. They were unable to properly determine what the problem was, but they still took the money and promised it will be repaired.

The tech was incredibly helpful when I needed my iPhone 6 battery replaced. I walked in, discussed the issues, paid a reasonable price (less than Apple Store), had the battery changed, and walked out all in 35 minutes. Not too shabby. Tech was knowledgeable and helpful with troubleshooting. Would recommend this store to anyone looking for tech repairs.

I had my screen replaced three times by them, first time the phone wasnt functioning they said it was the screen so I replaced it, the second time it. fell from my pocket, it has a phone case, while sitting, on to a carpet floor, and the screen broke which it shouldnt of, the third time it was in my pocket when I pulled it out the screen was broken. There was nothing in my pocket and I didnt get hit. They refused to recognize a fault with their installment or their screens both times it broke in the same place on the screen. I will never go there again.

My experience with Smart Tech Repair was very good. They had to order the part; it came in a couple of days later. I brought the phone in and in two hours it was like new. My phone is a Motorola Moto Z Play, and not every place repairs them (some only do popular phones such as iPhone and Samsung). I am pleased with the work they did for me.

Sam replaced the screen on my iPhone X. Then had to replace it again and AGAIN a third time. THEN, within a day, it started shutting off randomly, between 3 & 7 times a day. It wouldnt turn on and I had to hard reset it each time. Then a few days later, it turned off and simply wouldnt turn on. I took it to him, he said it wasnt because of anything hed done. Then I took it to Apple and they said the logic board was destroyed. So, thanks a lot Sam for breaking my iPhone X.
