Great explanation of coverage! I appreciate the time that was taken to explain what it is that Im paying for. I had a claim back in May 2016 on my car and everything was handled with ease. Office was great and the claim department was quick in providing service and advice.
The best insurance agent I have known. Been with him for 20 plus years. Very honest, friendly and helpful.
I am currently in the middle of a claim. Last weeks rain storm was a big one. The ceiling in my kitchen collapsed which caused my wood floor to buckle. There is obvious roof damage which caused the leak. Not only did I have to have numerous arguments to get an adjuster to show up in a timely fashion (5 days later) there is no one to help me through the process of making my first ever claim. Everyone who has undergone a home repair understands contractors dont work for free. They arent cheap either. I have thousands in damage. Want to know what AFI wants to compensate me? $1,254. I am left speechless while I try to figure out how to fix a roof, wood floor, drywall, paint, insulation, etc. with this amount of money. I only have a $1,000 deductible and most likely cannot file this claim now. I called the office today to stress my displeasure and ask for some customer support to help with the adjusters assessment. What did I receive on the other end? Attitude! If you are shopping for insurance, I would run as far from this office as possible. Actually, Im not sure if this is AFIs corporate policy or Gerald Starks office policy. Stay away from AFI unless you want to pay out of pocket for Catastrophe claims. Obviously, when you need the insurance company most.
