I started the service in the beginning of January my first time using them. . in 4 weeks they did not collect my can twice . After talking with whomever answers the phone they claimed the driver said the can was not by the road. Which was a blaitent lie. If i put it any closer it would get hit by a car. They dont seem to care to fix the issues or want to keep business so i went elsewhere and the company i chose said they received 5 new customers this month for the same issue. Id have done a negative star if it was available.

I was customer of Handy’s for 22 years and simply made a call to the office to ask why my extra trash can was not emptied. By the way they have picked it up before without any issues and it is not often that this happens. We just had extra trash from a graduation party. The lady that answered was very rude and didn’t even apologize or give an explanation just said “would you like to cancel your service?” At that point I felt like she devalued a loyal customer and decided to move my service. Within 30 minutes of canceling they had come and pick up their trash can. Not really a great way to treat customers when you are in the customer service business.

I have used Handys for nearly 20 years and NEVER had a problem. The only reason they wont pick up your trash is if your bill is way past due! Someone always answers the phone if you need to call. These folks are some of the nicest Ive ever dealt with!!

Absolute terrible customer service. Had several issues with them and the people in the office could have cared less when I expressed my concerns. They missed my can one day and when I call the lady told me that there was no way they would be able to come back today, I told her that we were going to be looking for another service provider and would let them know when to pick the can up. They showed up about 3 hours later took the trash and the can without any notice. Would definitely not recommend, terrible customer service and horrible people to deal with. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Weve been using Handys for over a year now - great, timely service and good customer service. There was one week that we didnt get our can out fast enough and my husband called to see if it was possible to still have it picked up (we had a lot of trash due to a large birthday party!), and they graciously picked it up. Thanks, Handys! Weve recommended you to our neighbors. :)

We think they do a great job, weve had them for seven years now and havent had any trouble. They have even stopped to pick up our trash on the way back by when we were late taking it out. We pay our bill on time and they pick up on time. We follow the directions for what they will take and what they wont take and havent had any trouble. Great service!

They do pick up on time, but there is no love of customer service.UPDATE ON REPLY: Im sorry but I didnt hang up first. I was very quiet trying to choose my words carefully. My issue was not knowing when you closed for holidays. if I had gotten a schedule in my bill, it would have been posted on my refrigerator with my other notifications.I know you have a website now, so I dont see having this be a further problem.

Though the pick up men do an acceptable job, the attitude of Handys front office is rude, hostile, and very offensive. Their rates have only gone up, never down when fuel prices dropped. Ending business with this ugly company has been easy and quite satisfying.Truly garbage is part of their name and appropriately belongs there.

My garbage hasn’t been properly picked up in 2 months. Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever encountered. If you don’t like touching garbage, get out of the waste disposal business. Please do us all a favor. And I’m being really nice in this review.

If I could give this Place half of a star I would. They are a joke. I Live in a residential Neighborhood, And what they did was uncalled for. I had their Trash service for probably 2 months. I began to notice things they were taking out of the can and leaving in the driveway. Me being fed up with their behavior I stopped paying them. Then without NO notice they go BEHIND my home, take the trash can and DUMPED the trash in my yard. I called And Spoke with them and they had NO REMORSE or didnt even care. Little Did they know they were trespassing on private property and doing illegal DUMPING. Lets see how they like the fine that is coming to them. I would Not Recommend them to ANYONE.....ANYWHERE. WORSE SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECIEVED!!!

Great family owned company always willing g to accomodate whenever they can

I have this service and have never been let down . Always on time and if any falls out when they pick up the can the young man in the back always picks it up.Great Company. I give them 5 stars.

We have been completely satisfied with their service. Rates are reasonable considering they have to come from another community. We have had them for over 5 years. We live in Randleman but not in the city limits and have to use another form of service for trash. I highly recommend.

I have Handys service for 10 years plus and have never had an issue. They are great and pick when they say they will. Great company and great service. Highly recommend them.

My parents that live 4 house down have had their service for years and they love them.. they know their guys and matter fact they buy each of them Christmas presents every year... I built my home completed in March and they pick up my trash and so far so good. They collect everything even if it is not in my can. They set the can back up right and off the road. The only downfall would be I am unable to pay my bill online. Todays bill payment method is so convenient being able to do everything online. Maybe, hopefully they will get this option soon, because I do not have checks nor the time to get money order and mail in. Overall great service though .

We have been with Handys for 5 years and we say they are EXCELLENT!! The office personnel is always very friendly, and the guys on the truck always wave. A couple of times we overlooked our payment and called them. The lady in the office was extremely kind and told us not to worry, just send the check the next day. This past snow storm that came through, the guys came out around 7:30 at night in the dark and frigid cold to get our trash. We have NEVER had any trouble with Handys and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to everyone! Keep up the great work and wonderful service!Tim and Tammy Drake/Archdale,NC

If I could put a negative in front of that star, I would. They have missed our entire street on 2 separate occasions. They flip the cans upside down after they empty them, which puts the trash that is left in the can on the street in front of the house. They dont take anything that looks like it might be construction debris. They dont have a recycling program, yet they take anything you put in the can (except construction debris). Its illegal in the state of North Carolina to take recycling in the standard can. They are breaking the law, yet wont take a 2x4. This company is a sham. Look else where for your garbage service.

I have had this service for several years, and overall they have been great. My biggest problem and disappointment is that they Do Not Send Out notices of changes in pick up. This year no warning was given that they were picking up a day early and this hasnt happened before. I checked my bill, No Notice. I checked my call history, No Notice. That is beyond unreasonable. Argh!

Lacking customer service skills, charge late fees without notice.

On Wed., (1/11/17) I contacted Handys Garbage service to inquire about when my trash would be pked up, due to my trash not being pked up on Tues. Their Business had a voicemail set up explaining that Tuesdays customers would not be picked up at all until the following wk due to bad road conditions/safety of their wkers...which I completely understand. Anyway, I left a message & asked for someone to call me bk to discuss the proration of my bill, in regards to not receiving services for the wk.--I never received a phone call bk, instead today I receive the below letter! ..... WOW---😡 UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!So pls know if you use this company, HANDYS GARBAGE SERVICE owned by FARRELL HANDY, this is how they treat their customers if you call--leave a voicemail & inquire about their services not rendered!

I called to try to get service and they said they no because they don’t have any other clients on my rd, but they go right past my rd. If y’all would come down my rd maybe y’all would get more clients.
