I have not been to this office, but this is their HQ. I was referred to an absolutely fantastic therapist out of the Whittier location. I could not be happier. I wasnt even looking for someone who is EMDR certified, but she is and its been very helpful. My therapist is phenomenal, but I would not have found her if not for the patient, caring and wise intake done by the office to match me with the perfect person. I refer everyone who asks about counseling.

The therapist I was assigned, Cari, was not a competent therapist... but I think it was more of a bad match as opposed to the company doing its job wrong soooo 3 stars

Was told after 4 months of waiting for a therapist that they have the perfect therapist to fit your specific needs. Disappointing to then be notified that they can’t help you. I’m sure they have satisfied clients, but my experience was not. I wish them well as well as the clients who need their services.

In 2018, my nephew commit suicide while going to soultenders for counseling. The Therpist that seen him was hired 2 wks prior. She was a full time trainer at DMH. She did not see the signs of his depression, medication abuse or alcohol use. This resulted in her not giving him a safety plan, completing a phq9 or any resources. She did her job with no standards.Soul tenders as a company is poorly ran by a Dr Wendy. Everyone is subcontracted and the Therpist are paid a small portion of the insurance payments. They are hired with the understanding they will maintain 2/3rds of the work week will be billable hours. Meaning face to face or telephonic visits.Overall, this is not a company you want to get mental health from. They do not hold to the standards of the BBS or APA. I recommend, you call your insurance and ask for another referral to an in network agency. Also if you require crisis intervention go to a hospital please. No ones family needs to deal with life after a suicide.

I’ve been going there for about a year and a half now I switched Therapist and Kate is wonderful. She has really help me on so many things I really needed to change. 💓

Not great overall, I’ve had two therapists here and they haven’t done much for me. The process to switch therapists also takes awhile. Also have multiple valid reasons why I need to make my dog ESA and they can’t provide a letter for “liability” reasons. Do not recommend this place.

Lost count on how many times I have called this place to make an appointment. Ive left 3 voicemails during the past 2 weeks & called during business hours before noon. Theres no reason why someone couldnt answer the phone when you guys are open. Done wasting time leaving voicemails. Answer your phones & give these people the help were looking for, this is a business so act like one.

Not recommended! I agree with someone elses comment on here, please dont let places like this discourage you from seeking and receiving counseling services. Just start off by looking elsewhere! A loved one of mine contacted this place for counseling services and was accidentally texted by one of their counselors complaining about her insurance and why she does not like accepting clients with this insurance. Then, giving the company benefit of the doubt, she was open to scheduling with a different counselor, if available. No one has gotten back to her about scheduling since! Seeking counseling is not an easy thing to do, and it is disheartening that this is the quality of service out there, and the type of experiences people have when putting in the effort and taking the step in seeking these types of services. Just look elsewhere.

Awful place that cares more about money than people.

It is honestly the worst therapy place ever! My mom has been going there for about a year. Ever since shes been taking there Therapists advice she has destroyed her life! My went from owning her own business, new car, having a good family. Now she has use car, no longer owns her business, home, getting divorce, & drinks a lot. When I ask her if she sees anything wrong in what she is doing, she says no because her therapy said the wrong or right is in someone own perspective so there for she see nothing wrong with lying & not telling the truth. I went with her to one of her sessions to try to work out a disagreement we had. The Therapist did not help at all! My mom was has had two therapist there both of them of NO sense of morals or values. This place needs to be more careful on who they hire or need to have a lesson on family values and morals. If I could give them a 0 start review I would.

Can’t speak on the therapists, but it took nearly a week to hear back from anyone in their office.If you’re looking for help, please don’t be discouraged by this. I would just recommend you look elsewhere.

I was referred to this agency by Kaiser and was told I would get a phone call from Soul Tenders to schedule an appointment. I got the call and they told me they only had openings in Burbank. I said that was a little to far for me and asked if they had anything closer to my area. They said they would call me back in three days with an answer. Another person called me the next day and was very short with me and acted as if she couldnt be bothered with finding something closer to my area. She didnt seem to have any compassion at all said I can try back in 6 months. Just from the phone call, I will not be calling back and Im a little offended that Kaiser even referred me to them..

Horrible place!!!! Will never recommend to anyone. Horrible communication with the staff. Does not know how to properly handle insurance paperwork. Cancelled appointment without a notice. If you need therapy go anywhere else but here.

DO NOT BOTHER coming here if your in need of help. Worse place ever if in need of help. It’s taken 10 days + to hear from anyone. Sad that they don’t get the idea of someone in need to talk too. Their focus is on authorization of your money. Ones money is received, then another 5 days wait. Obviously there focus is more on your insurance than your need of help. What makes it worse is that they said it’s not the first time they heard about the long wait, but yet it keeps happening which shows how much they care.

You seek therapy when you are in a bad spot in life, I assume the one star reviews reflect the situation the person reviewing them is in.Staff is caring, and they have numerous areas and theripasts to help.( its easy to be upset and put a one star review)

I called and left him three voicemails with my return phone number and I never have received a callback. This is completely unacceptable for any business specially a business where people are calling in dire need.
